Hey Everyone, Miles here to say, like every fanfic, I don't own any of the media that I use or reference. I'm just telling a story and that's all there is to it.

Episode 1: Just A Normal Day, Really!

ll

Everything was just as it should be. People were going about their business, the leaves were falling off the trees, the days were getting colder...

ll

Usagi and her friends were taking a break to be normal high schoolers after they defeated their most recent enemy.

ll

At this time, it was October. Everyone was getting ready for Halloween, a holiday that some looked forward to and others wanted nothing to do with.

ll

People were preparing for school festivals, students were planning parties and elders were preparing for another year of silly teenagers and their little stunts to come.

ll

Our story starts in the middle of October, on a cool afternoon, classes had just been released and Usagi was hopelessly walking to the Shrine to have their biweekly study session.

ll

(Usagi) Ughh! Luna, I wish I could just sleep for the rest of the day!

ll

(Luna) OH, c'mon Usagi! THis is the first time you've had consistently better grades for a while! The least you could do to thank the others is to keep them up.

ll

(Usagi) Yeah... I guess you're right.

ll

At the shrine, the girls mostly worked, helping each other on their weak subjects and helping Usagi with almost everything.

ll

After 2 hours of just studying, Usagi was ready to pass out from exhaustion. That was, until she heard Rei give the word that the session was over.

ll

(Rei) *Sigh* Alright, I think that's enough studying for now.

ll

Everyone put away their materials and then they just chatted for a while.

ll

(Usagi) So, is anyone doing anything for Halloween?

ll

(Makoto) Not really.

ll

(Rei) No.

ll

(Minako) Not really, why do you ask?

ll

(Usagi) Well... Mamo said that he and a few friends are throwing a small Halloween party on Halloween if you girls wanna to come.

ll

Makoto and Minako shot each other with a mischievous glance and grinned.

ll

(Minato) So, will there be any single boys there?

ll

Usagi was unamused

ll

(Usagi) Really you two? THATS the first thing that comes to mind?

ll

(Makoto) OH, c'mon, you have a boyfriend already! It's not fair that we can't try because you already have one!

ll

(Ami) She's right Makoto. You can't just go somewhere to flirt with everyone.

ll

(Makoto) Ami, I'm pretty sure that's what a party is for, isn't it? Besides, wouldn't you also be trying to get a boyfriend?

ll

Ami blushed and hid her face.

ll

(Ami) Of course not! I'm waiting for the right person ok?

ll

(Usagi) So are you girls going?

ll

(Rei) I'll go. A party sounds fun.

ll

(Usagi) Ami?

ll

(Ami) Sure, I don't see why not. What's the worst that can happen?

ll

In a flat and annoyed tone, Usaig addressed the two remaining.

ll

(Usagi) I already know you two will be there.

ll

(Minako) Of course! Like Rei said, a party sounds fun.

ll

(Makoto) And so does a new boyfriend...

ll

(Usagi) Great! I'll let Mamo know and I'll send you guys the address when the day comes!

ll

Everyone packed their things and went home, now excited for the party on Halloween.

ll

It was an amazing time, Usagi thought.

ll

(Usagi) Finally. A time we can finally be normal. Actually looking forward to something and not having to think about enemies from outer space.

ll

She couldn't wait. It was only a couple weeks away.

ll

For the next few weeks, the girls were only thinking about the number of days until the party. But that didn't stop Rei from hosting study sessions and making sure her friends (especially Usagi and Minako) were getting good grades. But she was a little more lax than usual and was more patient with Usagi when she didn't know something.

ll

Fast forward to a week before the party. The study session had ended already and the girls were just making small talk.

ll

(Usagi) So does everyone have a costume?

ll

The group went silent, everyone looked at Usagi with wide eyes.

ll

(Rei) Well yeah, there isn't a theme is there?

ll

(Usagi) Well, it's a Halloween party, so me and Mamo got matching costumes for when we go. Why? Didn't you guys also get costumes?

ll

(Makoto) Yeah, of course, we know what a Halloween party means.

ll

Rei and Makoto started internally panicking, forgetting that a Halloween party usually means costumes.

ll

(Rei) (Crap! I totally forgot! Wait, I'll just use a spare uniform from the Shrine. Hopefully Gramps is okay with it...)

ll

(Makoto) (Oh man, what the hell am I gonna wear?) (Calm down Makoto... I'm sure at least someone else is in the same situation)

ll

Makoto looked around and saw that Rei was the only one that seemed to be in the same predicament.

ll

(Usagi) So what are you guys going as?

ll

(Makoto) (Oh no.)

ll

(Makoto) Why don't you start Usagi? (This'll give me time to figure something!)

ll

(Usagi) Well, me and Mamo are going as an undead husband and bride! Pretty cool huh?

ll

(Everyone except Usagi) (Lucky...)

ll

(Usagi) What about you Ami?

ll

(Ami)Well, I was gonna do a zombie chemist.

ll

(Minako) I'm gonna go as a detective!

ll

(Usagi) What about you Rei?

ll

(Makoto) Ok, hopefully she says, "I don't know.".

ll

(Rei) I'm gonna use a spare uniform to go as an undead Shrine Maiden.

ll

(Usagi) That just leaves... Makoto!

ll

(Makoto) Umm... well... It's a secret!

ll

There was a pause. Usagi seemed confused.

ll

(Makoto)(Crap! Did they figure me out from my stuttering?)

ll

(Usagi) Wow! Mysterious, ok. Can't wait to see it at the party!

ll

(Makoto) (YES! They bought it! Now I just have to come up with something a week from now.)

The day of the party came and everyone's phones buzzed with a message from Usagi.

ll

ll

Message From: Usagi

Read: HEY GUYS! Here's the address for the party! See you guys there!

There was an address that wasn't too far from each of them. But no one recognized the address as a place they knew.

ll

ll

ll

ll

Everyone walked to the address of a mansion. It was an enormous house that had decorations placed everywhere that wasn't the walkway. There were fake cobwebs, Orange, purple and green lights.

ll

ll

ll

(Rei) Is this really the address of Mamoru's friend!?

ll

(Minako) Well, might as well find out!

ll

ll

The four went up to the front door and Rei was the one to knock.

ll

ll

ll

The door opened and a handsome guy that looked their age opened the door to welcome them.

ll

(Guy) HEY! You guys here for the party?

ll

(Rei) Yeah, we're friends of Mamoru.

ll

ll

(Guy) Cool! Well I'm Akari, nice to meet ya! Come on in, I'm sure Mamoru and Usagi are probably waiting for you.

ll

ll

ll

The group walked in, there were a few people, but enough to make a crowd. They made their way through the crowd to the living room to find a man in a slightly bloody tuxedo and a girl shorter than him in a bloody wedding dress with unmistakable blonde hair.

ll

ll

The girl turned around, and it was Usagi, fake blood under her eyes and next to her lip.

ll

ll

ll

The moment she saw them, her eyes widened and she smiled and walked up to them with Mamoru.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Hey girls! You guys look awesome!

ll

Rei had come in her extra shrine uniform, Minako came as a detective wearing a brown plaid shirt and coat with a black skirt to match, Ami came as a chemist but with some fake blood on her lab coat and some fake blood makeup on her face and Makoto came as a biker, fit with black jeans, a white shirt and a black leather jacket she used to wear every now and then.

ll

ll

ll

Rei leaned in and whispered to Makoto when Usagi was busy talking to Minako and Ami.

ll

ll

(Rei) Nice save Makoto. I didn't know that your costume was a surprise.

ll

(Makoto) Yeah, like you have room to talk, I saw you.

ll

The both of them laughed.

ll

ll

After a minute, Mamoru got everyone together and gave them a slight warning.

ll

ll

ll

(Mamoru) Hey guys, don't tell anyone else this but, don't eat or drink anything while we're here.

(Usagi) Why not?

(Ami) Is there something in the food and drinks?

(Mamoru) No, it's just that I know the people cooking and bringing the drinks. The person cooking isn't that great and almost always undercooks his food and the guys that make the drinks do sometimes spike them as a joke.

ll

Everyone agreed and had fun even without the food or drinks.

ll

ll

As the party came to a close, everyone left the party and said their goodbyes for the night.

ll

ll

ll

The next morning, since it was Saturday, the girls met up and hung out to talk about the previous night.

ll

ll

ll

For Mamoru, he wanted to thank his friends for the great turnout of the party and for allowing him to invite others.

ll

But for some reason, none of the people he knew were picking up. It was odd. But it seemed he was right, somebody did spike the drinks the previous night.

ll

There was only one person who picked up. His friend Akari. They were close friends in college and each knew about the food and drinks.

ll

When Akari picked up though, he sounded horrible.

ll

(Akari) H-hello...

ll

ll

(Mamoru) Akari? You sound sick.

ll

ll

(Akari) Yeah, I know.

ll

ll

(Mamoru) Did you eat or drink something at the party? You knew some of those guys were gonna do something messed up.

ll

ll

(Akari) Yeah, I know. But that's the thing, I didn't eat or drink anything because I knew!

ll

(Mamoru) Ok, then when did you start feeling sick?

ll

(Akari) A few hours after I got home. It was weird though. I just suddenly felt like crap, like a wall of the flu just slammed into me. I thought that if I went to bed I'd feel at least a little better in the morning, but no.

ll

ll

(Mamoru) I see. I'm gonna check with the people I brought and see if they're okay.

ll

ll

(Akari) Yeah, you do that. In the meantime, I'm gonna set up an appointment with a doctor to see what's wrong.

ll

(Mamoru) Sounds like a good idea, I'll come visit you in a little bit.

ll

ll

(Akari) You sure that's a good idea? What if you get sick?

ll

ll

(Mamoru) Oh come on Akari, We're friends, it's what we do! Also, if it makes you feel safer, I'll take proper precautions.

ll

ll

(Akari) Okay then, I guess I'll see you then.

ll

ll

(Mamoru) See you then Akari.

ll

The phone call ended and Mamoru immediately began to worry about the girls.

ll

ll

ll

While they were talking, Usagi's phone rang, it was Mamoru.

*Line Connects*

ll

(Mamoru) Usagi?

ll

(Usagi) Oh, hey Mamo, what's up?

ll

(Mamoru) Is everyone there?

ll

(Usagi) We're all here, why? Also did something happen? You sound worried.

ll

(Mamoru) Well, when I tried to contact a few of the people that went to the party last night, only one of them answered, Akari.

ll
(Usagi) Oh, the one you introduced me to. Was he okay?

ll

(Mamoru) Unfortunately, no. He said that he felt like the flu hit him a few hours after the party.

ll

(Usagi) Well that sounds scary, good thing you warned all of us.

ll

(Mamoru) Well, I'm gonna visit him later if you want to come.

ll

(Usagi) Yeah, he was really nice and it would probably be nice to see some familiar faces.

ll

(Mamoru) Okay, I'll let you know when.

ll

(Usagi) See you soon.

ll

(Mamoru) See you soon Usako.

ll

*Line Disconnects*

ll

(Usagi) Huh.

ll

(Ami) What happened Usagi?

ll

(Usagi) It seems that a lot of people got sick after the party last night and I'm gonna go visit one of them with Mamo in a little while.

ll

(Minako) Wow, good thing none of us ate or drank anything.

ll

(Makoto) Yeah, Mamoru wasn't kidding...

ll

Later in the day, Mamoru picked up Usagi in his car and they both went to the apartment of Mamoru's friend, Akari Hibiki.

ll

When the two got to the friend's apartment, before they could even knock, there was an envelope taped to the door.

ll

(Usagi) What's that?

ll

(Mamoru) Hm?

ll

Mamoru took the envelope off the door and read it. His eyes quickly widened and he grabbed Usagi's wrist tightly before shouting.

ll

ll

(Mamoru) SHIT! Usako! C'mon!

ll

(Usagi) What is it-

ll

She couldn't even get her question out before Mamoru had her almost floating as they ran back to the car.

ll

ll

After they got into the car, Mamoru started driving slightly faster than usual. Following all traffic laws, but seemingly in a haste.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Mamo...? What is it?

ll

ll

Mamoru quickly gave Usagi the envelope to read. She opened it and read the words.

ll

ll

To Whom it may concern,

ll

I am Akari's neighbor. I'm sure that you are a friend of Akari so I believe that you deserve to know.

An officer came by to do a wellness check on Akari, but the officer wouldn't tell me why.

He asked in Akari was home and I said that he was because I can hear whenever his door opens or closes.

So when the officer kicked the door down after repeatedly announcing his presence, he immediately told me to

go back inside my apartment, but again, wouldn't tell me why.

After a while, I head a lot of footsteps outside and even an ambulance along with other police officers.

Once I had had it, I stormed out there and demanded to know what's wrong with my neighbor and friend.

They just told me that he was going to the hospital in critical condition.

I am going to the hospital now and leaving this note for anyone who may know Akari

ll

ll

From,

Akari's Neighbor

ll

Usagi finished the note as the two got to the hospital.

ll

After getting out, the two walked towards the hospital.

ll

Usagi never knew why, but hospitals gave her a horrible feeling of dread, despair and paranoia.

ll

ll

ll

She couldn't believe it though. Everything was normal up until now was really just normal...
