Infy gathered all of the cocotamas who live in the house (with the exception of Zero) to a secluded part of the house: Tomomi's bedroom.
Tomomi has already left for school, and her parents are out of the house working somewhere else, so all of the humans are out of the house, and there is no risk of them being spotted.
And so, Infy explained everything she knows about Zero. About his goals for total annihilation.
"He… he is not a friend," Infy said in hesitation, a part of her still not accepting the truth. "He was planning to kill us all."
"W-What? But he's just a cocotama!" Suto said.
"He is not a cocotama," Dream corrected. "He never was one to begin with."
"What… what are you talking about?"
"That could explain his loss of memories," Freezie mused. "He never had any memory as a cocotama in the first place!"
"B-But he could have been recently reborn after a broken contract!" Suto argued.
"Yes, but nobody told us who that human is, nor did we see any timers on when the temporary contract ends!"
"Stop it!" Infy yelled, pressing her hands between Freezie and Suto. "Dream is right. Zero isn't a cocotama. He's a demon. A demon who wants us all dead."
"Like… mean dead humans who live in hell?" Freezie asked.
"I don't know, but that's… not the point." Infy wiped her tears. "He has powers not even the adult pants have, I think."
"Why didn't you tell any of that earlier?" Suto asked.
"Umm…" Infy pondered on whether or not she should say it. "He said that he'll let me be seen by a human, and make it look like an accident, one way or another."
"So… what are you going to do?" Kirby asked. "You told us, so does that mean you're going to be spotted soon?" he added in worry.
"I… I don't know," Infy answered, looking at nothing in particular. "But… I feel fine now, somehow."
"You must have been keeping all of that by yourself," Freezie said. "Telling us those secrets feels like a weight has been lifted from your chest."
"Yeah," Suto said. "Kinda like punching something real hard!"
"For now, let's just pretend nothing happened, and we didn't discuss anything here," Kirby said. "Um… where is the star rod?"
"Uhh… why?" Suto asked.
"Um, the star rod is sent from Popstar because it's one of the only weapons that can reliably hurt Zero in his true form," Kirby answered.
The rest of the cocotamas looked at each other, horror dawning on them all.
"It's still in the antique shop!" they all yelled in realization.
Meanwhile, Zero heard the yelling of the cocotamas. He doesn't know what they're referring to, but he's pretty sure that it's the star rod.
Except… that's not right.
He was never a cocotama to begin with, and he has those adult pants, so he watched everything that had happened from far away, where nobody could see him eavesdrop.
So they plan to go to the antique shop to get the star rod, huh…
He has two choices here. To either hijack the bus and risk his identity being revealed to Rannin, or do nothing and risk them telling the bus driver everything they know.
But then again, what is that bus driver going to do? Run on the wheels to make the bus go faster?
Well, there is always the option of killing them straight up before they can reach the bus.
"Quick! Tomomi is going home any minute now!" Infy yelled as she entered her hiding egg.
The five cocotamas ran out from the bedroom in their eggshells, trying to reach for the entrance to the house. However, as the egg is blocking the view of the house, they have to open up their eggshells to see where they are going once in a while.
The group can hear a door open. Tomomi returned home. They diverted their path to the living room where the girl cannot see them.
However, as they turned ever so slightly to the right…
Another egg is speeding towards Infy, who just popped out of her egg to take a look, only to see the rogue egg open to reveal…
Zero is sent flying towards Infy, pushing her out of her little egg.
Infy looked at the cocotama—no, demon—at the eyes. He is angry.
The feeling of betrayal—of seeing her dear friend be this… malevolent—returned in full force, as Infy and Zero flew away from the fleeing cocotamas…
…and into the human girl's sight.
