Ben leaned back, hissing when his head hit the wall.

"You ok?" EightEight chirped, briefly stopping from what she was reading off of the Dragoon badge.

"I'm fine," Ben replied, giving a thumbs up. "Just can't find what Dracula is on the Lifeform Data Pad."

"Oof," Kevin grinned from next to Gwen. Gwen continued to read the pad as Ben glared at the maybe-human.

Gwen then questioned, "So the Omnitrix gives my transformations clothes, right? And technically, these 'water bubble' things are clothes, right? So why doesn't the Omnitrix give Tiamat a water bubble when I transform into her?"

"Starray can't have water bubbles," Ben sighed before leaning forward and returning his attention to the pad.

EightEight chuckled slightly, shaking her head before returning to the badge. She continued to scroll as the Wyrmlings continued to talk.

"Hey Ben, does it say if any of your forms are sapient? For some reason, each one of Gwen's forms on the pad specifies it," Kevin asked.

Ben stalled for a brief second, seeming going back to the top of the page on the pad. "No…? It just says that they're sentient, not if they're sapient or not," Ben answered.

"Sapient means knowledgeable. Sentient just means they have emotions. Sapient creatures always have sentience, but sentience doesn't always mean sapience," Gwen stated somewhat randomly.

"So we don't know. Great," Kevin deadpanned. Ben hummed before returning to the spot he was at.

"I forgot this was today," EightEight randomly said.

"What is?" Ben asked, looking towards EightEight.

She looked over again and answered, "I forgot that each year on the same day, the Dragoon base here does a 'field day' for the lack of a better term. They set up food stands and games outside and anyone is welcome to join in."

"That sounds like fun," Ben replied.

"What does?" Kevin asked, getting Gwen to look up from the pad.

"You know how some cities have yearly shows or festivals?" Ben started.

"Oh, there's one happening in Sparksville today?" Gwen chirped, excitement in her voice.

"That's basically what Sister EightEight said," Ben nodded.

"Sister Afri, can we go participate?" Gwen almost immediately asked once Ben was finished.

EightEight answered, "All that's required is that creatures who do so wear their Dragoon masks, mainly for safety reasons. Don't ask me why, that's just what the notice says."

"Sister Eight said that we'll need to wear the disguising mask things, but other than that we can," Ben relayed. Gwen grinned.

"There is Sparksville, sir," a drone stated, tapping a button and bringing up a hologram video screen of the city below. The kraken stared its sharp, red eyes at the screen, observing the colorfully dressed humans as they played games and ate together.

"So this is where the Omnitrix wielder has settled for some time now," the Cthulhu figure stated.

"The Predatrix is also in this location," a different drone added. "It appears that the Omnitrix wielder and the Predatrix wielder are sticking together for one reason or another." Its master nodded slightly.

A few silent seconds passed before a drone stated, "We have a visual on the Omnitrix."

The Cthulhu figure seemingly raised a brow before the drone pointed to a specific spot on the screen. Its master looked at the spot, seeing four humans dressed as a bird, a rat, a dog, and some sort of scaled creature. From the image, the rat wore the Predatrix while the scaled one wielded the Omnitrix.

"Prepare the subship. Set up the Omnitrix removal mechanism," the humanoid kraken commanded. The drones began to work, two groups of drones flying off with their creator following one of them.

"I didn't mention it last time, but why did we come out of a different building than the first time we went underground?" Gwen asked, looking at EightEight.

"You Wyrmlings needed to get your Dragoon badges and it was easier to just get them from Tai then get them from… whoever that Galvan was that set up your badges," EightEight replied.

"She just said it was easier," Ben relayed. Gwen nodded as the quartet joined the crowd of creatures.

Looking around, the majority of the games seemed to be more alien in nature. There was one game where one player tossed some sort of rag into the air, whoever caught it was the one to throw it into the air, and seemed to go on until the rag touched the ground. Another was a creature swinging a rope around and whoever pulled the creature to the ground first won. A different one was basically Marco Polo, but with alien words and an extra one thrown in for some reason. There were other games as well, of course.

As for food, it seemed mostly alien in nature, but there were some dishes that were human in nature. Corn on the cob but blue tentacles, calamari but with a creature called Triacontadipoda, a stake-looking dish from Sotoragg called a smoked leaf dragon (apparently by leaf they meant tail), something called colored geodes, and many other alien dishes. Even the more human style dishes had some alien aspects, like the meat in burgers being replaced with 'Tetravacca' meat. A few of the options were literally just some fruit or vegetable, being a mix of alien ones, like somethings called Amber Ogia and Silk Musa, and Earthen ones.

As they walked around, with Kevin munching on some fruit bites of a fruit called Electroples from Osmos V, one of the other creatures looked up and randomly said, "That looks too metal to be a cloud…"

"What does?" another replied, causing most of the movement in this section of the festival to stop.

The first who was dressed like a turkey pointed towards the sky and answered, "That." They all looked up, some beginning to mutter as a red gleam shone in the sky.

Then came the reddish orange drones with red lights from the red gleam. Creatures scattered as the drones landed, standing tall on four, bug-like legs. A red light flashed and Radiowave squawk-roared over the crowd, flying into the air.

The nearest drone looked at Radiowave just before the tiger-vulture crashed into it, bringing it to the ground. A sharp stab and rip of Radiowave's beak destroyed the drone, its head clean off. A few of the other drones looked over before snapping towards a green light.

Silence reigned for a few odd seconds before Radiowave roared and hopped to the next one as the one he was on burst into flames. All the drones, with the exception of the one Radiowave tackled, moved towards Pele as she jumped onto what was left of the robot. Kevin followed her, his cloak now flickering like fire and the colors of the cloak were changed to match.

Radiowave tore apart the one he was one before flying over to some drones farther away, allowing Pele and Kevin to melt whatever came close to them. An inferno of fire from the duo wisped through any of the robots that came near.

Radiowave squawked slightly, tilting his head. Using his radar, he could tell the robots were focusing on the dancing fire, but for what reason? They seemed to be ignoring everyone else, including him, allowing other creatures to alert the others.

"Radiowave, what happened?" EightEight started, going up to him. Radiowave stared at her briefly before she hissed, "Right, you can't talk as Radiowave…"

Radiowave squawked and turned towards a ship that landed nearby. EightEight took out of the talons, twirling it slightly in her hand. The ship opened, revealing a large, towering, humanoid squid creature with piercing red eyes and gleaming maroon armor. Radiowave began to screech, leaning its head towards the alien as it did so and took a few steps back, paws on the ground.

In the inferno of fire, the drones continued to melt away, liquid metal dripping onto the ground. Once all the drones seemed to stop, the inferno died down and the duo looked around.

"What the hell is that?" Kevin asked, pointing at the towering figure. Pele turned towards where Kevin pointed, locking eyes with the figure. The duo came closer, stopping by EightEight and Radiowave.

The humanoid kraken observed the quartet from where he stood before saying in a booming baritone voice, "So at last I meet the fools who wield the Omnitrix and the Predatrix."

Radiowave screeched at him as Pele glared. "And what is it to you?" Pele questioned.

Suddenly, a purple aura gripped the humanoid kraken and tossed him away, crashing into some of the buildings. Jewir, who had taken off his ID mask, came up to them and yelled, "That's the Conqueror of Ten Worlds!"

"The pups," EightEight hissed.

"Who specifically is that?" Kevin asked.

"Vilgax/Vilgax," Jewir and EightEight answered at the same time.

A piece of rubble was launched at them, Radiowave ducking before Jewir barely caught it. Vilgax stepped closer to them, holding another piece of rubble in his claws. Like a frisbee, he launched the other piece of rubble towards them, managing to strike Jewir before he could catch it with his powers.

"Just knowing of me will do you no good," Vilgax growled before leaping into the air. EightEight grabbed Kevin and dashed out of the way, Pele and Radiowave jumping away as Vilgax landed in the spot they were just in.

Radiowave acted first, throwing himself towards Vilgax and attempting to stab his beak at him. However, his neck was grabbed by Vilgax, a claw touching the side of the Predatrix's dial, before tossing the Radioscaviger away. Radiowave smashed into the side of a building before crumbling to the ground, bright blue feathers scattering a bit. Kevin and Pele moved next, beginning an inferno around Vilgax. Before it could get too large, Vilgax snatched up Kevin and threw him away as well, making the mutated human crash into Jewir, who was just beginning to stand up.

EightEight ran up as Pele focused on increasing the inferno. She jumped up a bit before her arm was grabbed by the much larger figure of Vilgax.

"Get out of my way," Vilgax demanded.

"For perished!" EightEight screamed before swiftly kicking Vilgax in the chin. He grunted, dropping the Sotoraggian, allowing an opening for Pele. The Pyronite dashed forwards, striking Vilgax with a punch. However, Vilgax dared not move and he looked down at the young Pyronite.

Pele backed up slightly as Vilgax stated, "What a waste of time." Pele managed to back away from Vilgax's grasp, blank magma eyes wide.

EightEight suddenly jumped up and stabbed Vilgax on the open part of his leg, the talon digging again and causing Vilgax to hiss. Pele turned and ran towards the melted bots as Vilgax grabbed EightEight and threw her towards Radiowave, a small trickle of blood flowing the talon as it was held by the Sotoraggian.

Radiowave rumbled slightly, letting out a small squawk as his radar vision flickered and faltered like crazy. Something smacked into him and he collapsed against whatever he landed against, a beeping filling the air.

Kevin pushed himself off of Jewir, rolling onto the ground before looking up. Vilgax turned towards Pele and dashed towards her just as a green light came from the Radioscaviger. He stood up, stumbling slightly before trying to run towards the humanoid kraken. He was stopped by a purple aura, Jewir using his power to hold him back.

"Let me help!" Kevin chirped at Jewir.

"You're helvede injured," Jewir replied, saying a word in his native tongue. He motioned towards Kevin's foot, causing him to look down.

… That was blood, wasn't it.

"You're staying right here until Er'Apel can heal you," Jewir stated, putting him on the ground.

Pele lurched as Vilgax suddenly grabbed her, lifting her up. She snapped her head towards him as the ship behind them began to move.

"I grow tired of this," Vilgax stated, lifting a claw. She began to thrash as Vilgax touched the Omnitrix, a red crackle coming from his claw. A flash of red later and Gwen was in Vilgax's claws. His eyes sharpened as he observed her. Gwen glared at him before she began to thrash again, attempting to loosen his grip.

The ship took into the air and Vilgax lifted a claw to her face, causing her to freeze. He grabbed the mask and ripped it off, the device reforming into the grey face mask as Gwen's true appearance was revealed to the Cthulhu figure.

"A child? The Omnitrix was in the hands of a child?!" Vilgax snapped, forcing a stronger grip on Gwen. He tossed the small (in his hands) mask aside as Gwen kicked at her captor, but it did nothing.

The ship stopped above them, allowing Vilgax to jump up, causing Gwen to squeak.

EightEight turned towards the ship and hissed, "No…" The ship quickly shut and it started back into the sky. Ben groaned next to her, returning to consisiness. She looked towards Kevin, who had fizzled out of the powered up state as Jewir seemed to talk to him.

"What happened?" Ben groaned, making EightEight refocus on him.

"Vilgax took Gwen," EightEight answered, looking upwards. Ben snapped up, eyes wide.

"There has to be a way to help!" Ben chirped, quickly looking at the Predatrix. Strangely, instead of being green, the teeth of the symbol were closed.

"I doubt there's more Aerophibians than Jetray… Maybe there's a Pturbosaurian around, but I'm not too sure," EightEight muttered. "I have a way up, but…"

"Please say we can get Gwen back!" Ben chirped. She looked down at Ben, silent. His bright green eyes stared at her, almost begging.

"We'll need a way up to his ship," EightEight started, standing up. Ben followed, still looking at her.

"Maybe Goowash or Fish Snatcher can get up there…" Ben muttered, looking down again at the Predatrix.

EightEight was quiet for a moment before asking, "Did Vilgax touch the Predatrix?"

"I'm… not too sure?" Ben replied.

EightEight growled, "The pups." She started towards Kevin, Ben quickly following.

Jewir looked at the two approaching. The duo stopped near them as Kevin looked at them.

"I'm not letting him move until Er'Apel sees him," Jewir stated. Kevin growled, the purple aura around him.

"Good," EightEight gurgled, nodding.

"Do you know a way I can get Gwen back?" Ben asked. Jewir tilted his body slightly, staring at them.

"Black hole if I know," Jewir shrugged.

EightEight looked at Ben and gurgled, "I don't know how I can get you up there. I don't think my jetpack can get both of us up there." Ben squinted at her before frowning.

"Do you think Jetray will be willing to help?" Ben asked.

-(…)-

Vilgax looked towards the young human female, observing her. Gwen thrashed, trying to move her limbs away from where they were held in the electromagnetic cuffs. The forearm with the Omnitrix was in a giant cylinder machine, keeping her from reaching the Omnitrix even if her other limbs were freed.

"A child. Strange. I wouldn't have guessed it," Vilgax mussed. "You and your Predatrix counterpart have been more mature than what I assumed for children. Assuming, that is, your counterpart is also a child."

"What do you want?" Gwen growled, looking at the Cthulhu figure.

"You hold a key to a power struggle so ancient, so vast, it is beyond your feeble comprehension," Vilgax started. "Imagine, an entire army, each in command of an Omnitrix and all at my command. I will be invincible. I will rule this galaxy, perhaps the universe! And one of the last things standing between me and my destiny is you."

Gwen silently stared at Vilgax and into his piercing red eyes. Vilgax blinked, but did nothing to reply to the child.

"Prepare for take-off," Vilgax began, directing it towards a drone. "Once we're in orbit, I will-"

Something suddenly crashed into the ship, making it shake. Vilgax growled.

"Warning! Hull breach! Power surge!" the ship's computer stated throughout the ship.

"What?!" Vilgax screamed. The drone began to move but was suddenly destroyed but a light green beam struck and destroyed it.

Vilgax surged forwards, grabbing Jetray before he could fly further. The Aerophibian growled, eyes glowing. Vilgax began to toss him aside when a red flash came from under Jetray.

Vilgax and Jetray were suddenly thrown back, the towering humanoid kraken crashing into the machine holding Gwen. Her eyes widened as a voice screamed, "Cultfire!"

Where the red flash and the voice came from was now a massive white fireball-like figure within a candle wax colored broken orb. Tentacles draped under the fiery orb, the symbol of the Predatrix on one of the tentacle's shells. Two large, pure white eyes shined through the shell, staring straight at Vilgax.

Cultfire flickered his tentacles around, his fire jumping onto the body of the ship, beginning to melt it. Vilgax stood up from the ground, looking back at Cultfire and muttering, "No… No!"

Cultfire floated there, staring at Vilgax. The squid man growled before surging towards the creature.

Gwen stared as Cultfire suddenly grappled Vilgax, holding him in place, fiery tentacles wrapping around Vilgax's arms. EightEight suddenly appeared next to her and she blinked. The Sotoraggian must've got in while Cultfire and Jetray managed to distract Vilgax. EightEight lifted a talon, one covered in blue blood, and struck the machine, breaking it open.

A sudden bolt struck the Omnitrix, forcing her into Nike. "Hey!" Nike chirped before she suddenly shifted into Kleodora. "What's going-" She was stopped by her shifting into Artemis, a roar finishing her sentence. Then into Athena, then Tiamat, Pele, Alke, Styx, Selket, and finishing on Theia.

A feminine robotic voice stated, "Error! Redirecting overflowing power to Sub-Master Control. Sub-Master Control unlocked until power shuts down."

Sub-Master Control? What was that?

Theia looked towards Vilgax and Cultfire. Vilgax seemed to want to turn around, but Cultfire held him in his grasp. Maybe she could get some hits in as-

She stood as Alke and she grinned. Alke ran forward, clenching her fists. The female Tetramand leapt up and slammed her fists into Vilgax, making a dent in his armor.

Vilgax finally got free of Cultfire's grasp, the beast roaring and attempting to grasp again. Vilgax leapt back, getting a sudden coldness within him. An Ectonurite seemingly smiled at him, currently transparent and the colors of the outer skin inverted, her true form still hidden.

EightEight ran over to Jetray before briefly looking back at Cultfire and Styx. It seemed like a deathly scene out of context, with a ghost staring into one's soul and an ever present fire ready to burn one down.

Styx dashed forward before shifting into Theia, crashing into Vilgax. He attempted to grab the Galvanic Mechamorph, but she had already formed into liquid metal and seeped into his arms. Vilgax suddenly screamed as something in his arm snapped, a metal bar poking out of his skin. Theia quickly jumped out, switching to Nike as she stumbled back.

Cultfire surged forwards, fiery tentacles reached out. One of the fiery tips whipped by the open wound, Vilgax screeching something in his native tongue as a bit of blue blood began to burn. A few drones attempted to attack Cultfire as the creature's tentacles surrounded their master, but they were melted when they got too close.

The Predatrix suddenly chirped, "Error! Failsafe M-I-C-4 activated!" A beat. "Error! Failsafe failed to activate! Activating Failsafe RB-10! Error! Not enough energy to perform! Error! Cannot enforce Failsafe FS-9! Directing leftover power to Mechanism U-C-63!"

EightEight grabbed Nike's arm before she began to run off, dragging Nike with her. "Where are we going?! What's wrong with Ben?" Nike asked just before she shifted to Selket and flew beside the Sotoraggian.

EightEight gurgled something, but heck if Selket understood it. The ship's alarms blared, white fires flickering throughout the ship. It almost seemed like the ship was melting apart with Cultfire at its center.

Jetray quickly, and suddenly, joined them and asked, "What the caveland is going on?!"

They entered a room, EightEight dashing over to some computer and beginning to mess with it. Selket shifted to Athena and stared while Jetray stood still.

Jetray suddenly said, "Hey, this ship has the same layout as the ship Nurse Be'Jis owns, isn't it?"

EightEight nodded slightly.

The ship then announced, "Self-destruction code entered! Beginning countdown! One minute until self-destruction!"

"ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" Jetray screamed, Athena quickly shifting to Nike. EightEight began towards them, making a motion with her hands. Nike stalled in confusion as Jetray grabbed EightEight's shoulders. The Aerophibian then dashed out, being quickly followed by the Omnitrix made Kineceleran.

Cultfire stopped briefly at the announcement, but he couldn't really hear it. However, he could tell Vilgax heard it. The humanoid kraken yelled something, but it seemed to go unanswered.

They continued to stay there, Vilgax wrapped and drained within Cultfire's grasp until Cultfire felt himself full. He dropped the squid man and turned towards the now very much melty machine.

That's when it blew.

Flames of destruction surrounded him, forcing him to snap out of the mindless instinct that controlled him. The liquid metal was thrown about, Vilgax seemingly slipping away in the chaos. An explosion went off and Cultfire began a descent to the Earth. There was no need to stay.

Pieces of the ship scattered, being sent far from the point of destruction and small streaks of flames, both reddish orange and white, flew across the sky.

EightEight, Styx, and Jetray looked up at the ship as it disappeared, other creatures doing so. Cultfire landed nearby as the Omnitrix chirped, "Power levels stabilized. Locking Sub-Master Control. Entering the rest stage." Styx detransformed back into Gwen as the Predatrix seemed to chirp something. A few seconds passed before Cultfire detransformed as well.

Kevin, followed by Jewir and a methane-scented plant, approached them as Ben did the same. The group joined together as a calm peace surrounded them.

That's when the plant questioned, "I suppose one of you idiots was the one that caused that?"

"EightEight did it," Gwen quickly said, causing Jetray to let out a chirp of agreement.

"They aren't wrong," EightEight shrugged.

Jewir sighed slightly before saying, "Let Er'Apel look over you at least."

"She's good," Kevin randomly added. EightEight laughed slightly, causing them to look at her.

"Sorry, that just reminded me of what one of my siblings usually says about me," EightEight provided.

"I don't understand Sotoraggian," the plant, Er'Apel, deadpanned.

Ben relayed, "Uh, something about her siblings."

Jewir, Er'Apel, and Jetray either made a motion or noise of realization.

-(...)-

Vilgax groaned, waking up. He realized that he was inside of a liquid before trying to look around. A nearby angel-looking drone blinked and began clicking. "Sir. The Chimeran Hammer has been destroyed. Nothing was able to be salvaged save for some drones and yourself. The Galvanic Mechamorph, Aphoom-Seeker, and the destruction itself caused much damage to your body. For your own safety, you are in a healing tank once again. We are on a spaceship someone left on this planet for now," the drone informed.

Vilgax was silent before saying, "Get back into orbit. We will stay there until I recover enough to attempt this again." The drone bowed, then walked off.

Ushi: (I hope you don't mind me calling you that.) As of right now, there's no plans for the Predatrix/Nemetrix to get an evolutionary function. As for Azmuth, that's for me to know and you to find out. As for Max, well you read the chapter.

Quick reminder that I probably won't upload next week. Currently, I'm typing up B7 after the hell that was B6. I'll finish up typing season B, put up art related to season A on the Tumblr account, then I'll resume posting on Saturdays when that's over.
