Chapter:19 Trouble in the Dance Floor
In one of Beacon's ballrooms, streamers are hung through glass chandeliers, pink and blue balloons are everywhere, and students in dark suits and bright dresses are stepping with each other to the music between the white-clothed tables.
Green, in a bright blue dress and black heels, peek over the punch bowl as she put some strange liquid in it, stirring the drink, and quickly left while whistling.
On another part of the ballroom, Blue could be seen wearing a black suit with a green tie as he is currently tapping his feet since he was waiting for Green since she was his date. He then suddenly felt someone tapping on his shoulder and saw his partner behind him.
"Team RWBY didn't disappoint didn't they?" Green commented as Blue nods with that.
"And they finally got Blake to relax for once," Blue said as the both of them saw Sun and Blake dancing together.
"Yeah, she was really tired after our investigation. We really should thank Yang for that," Green said as the two then saw the rest of Team RWBY talking to one another.
"Hey guys!" They then saw Yellow walking towards them in a bright yellow dress and a pair of black shoes, but she still retains her straw hat.
"Oh my Oum~!" Green squeals as she saw how beautiful Yellow is in her dress. "Look at you, you're gonna make some guys swoon for you."
Yellow had to pull her hat down to hide her blush.
"Anyways, where's Red?" Blue asked as Yellow lifted her hat slightly.
"He said that he was preparing for something," She said as Blue realized what his friend is going to do.
"I think you should wait by the punch bowl, I promise you that Red won't miss this," He said to the young blonde.
"I know he would, he's Red," Yellow said with utmost confidence as she walks to the punch bowl.
Blue then let out a sigh till he saw the nervous look that Green has on her face.
"Why are you looking like that?" He asked.

"You spiked the punch didn't you?"

"You better hope that no one took a cup yet."
The two then saw Yellow already getting a cup, followed by Ruby and Jaune. Soon enough, the rest of the attendance came to get a drink.

"If they ever ask, I'm immediately blaming you."
Red took a deep breathe as he is currently outside the ballroom in a black suit and a red tie, he is carrying a keytar, a small speaker is hanging by a small belt on his pants, and a pair of red headphones on his head.
"Red what are you doing here?"
He looked behind him to see his sister Diantha walking over to him.
Diantha is wearing a white dress that had gold trims and the bottom is littered with glitter, she also wear a pair of white high heels, and a white choker on her neck.
Red let out a sigh and said, "I'm just... preparing myself."
Diantha just laughs and said, "You don't have to be worried about this, just go there and have confident."
"It's not that," Red said as he caresses his keytar. "I really want it to be special for Yellow."
"Then go in there. Don't back down now. If you really love her then do it," Diantha said to him as Red was still doubtful. She then put her hand on her brother's shoulder in assurance. "You can do this."
Red let out another sigh as he look to his sister with a smile before entering the ballroom.
As everyone are enjoying their time, Red went up to the stage while everyone continued to party.
He then let out one more sigh before grabbing his Scroll and connects to every sound system, with permission of course, and played something in it.

They then heard a rhythmic beat as everyone looks towards the stage and saw Red there playing with his keytar while other instruments are being played in his speaker.

"Oh my gosh!" Green said in surprise and joy as she and others were hoping what they were hearing was right.

"It is!" Yang shouted in joy as everyone else were equally ecstatic.
The beat continues to play as some of the party goers are cheering him on along with his friends while he keeps playing as everyone began to dance, but he mainly focus his sight on Yellow as she stared back at him with her hands on her chest.

The beat continues to play as more of the party goers are joining in while Yellow walks over to Red.
With Jaune and Ruby, the blonde knight noticed Weiss sitting away from the crowd looking depressed as he put down his cup and went somewhere while Ruby keeps listening.

Everyone keeps dancing as Yellow keep walking towards the still playing Red as he saw how close she is now to him and reached out his hands for her. She took it and the both of them are now standing on stage while Red keeps playing and kneeled before her.

"Go Red!" Most of his friends cheered for him as he keeps playing.

Red then faced the crowd and bowed to them as they cheered for him. Then the original music in the ballroom comes back.
Red then look back to Yellow as the two of them are still standing on stage.
"Sorry for being late, I was still preparing for this moment," Red said to her.
"It's okay but how do you feel now?" Yellow asked as Red thought about the feeling when he was still on stage.
"You know what, I feel really relieved," Red said with a smile as Yellow just giggles and he offered his hand to her. "Wanna have this dance with me."
Yellow smiled as she took his hand and the two were soon on the dance floor dancing with the others.
"Oh I don't want to miss this," Green said as she took Blue's hand and dragged him with her.
Soon enough, everyone continued enjoying the party as both Red and Yellow were both dancing in the middle of the floor within each other's arms. They slowly move with the beat as the two felt really relax with each other's presence, they have their eyes closed and a small smile on their faces as they began to enjoy their dance.
Yellow then slowly open her eyes and said, "Thank you for being here with me."
Red then opened his eyes as well and said, "I won't break my promise to you. I will always be with you."
The two then noticed their other teammates dancing towards them as Blue had a amused look on his face while Green was grinning.
"Congratulations love birds!" Green said to them as the two blushed but they still retain their smile.
As the dance continues, both Red and Yellow went to the punch bowl to rest while the others continued to have fun. They could see Sun and Blake slow dancing, Ren and Nora doing the Waltz, and the step sisters on the second tier watching everything.
"Man this party is amazing," Red said as he and Yellow both have a cup of punch in their hands. "Even our friends are enjoying it."
They could see Blue and Green doing the Paso Doble and Weiss and Neptune sitting by each other's sides.
"Even Diantha is having fun," Yellow said as she points towards Diantha dancing with August which made Red trying to stop himself from strangling his sister's boyfriend.
"Yeah..." He said while gritting his teeth till the two could hear fits of laughter and giggles as the two looked towards the source of it and couldn't help but laugh as well to what they saw.
Meanwhile, Pyrrha could be seen all alone till she looks behind her and was surprised.
"Jaune?"
Jaune is shown to now be wearing a white dress with a blue ribbon.
"Eh, a promise is a promise," Jaune said Pyrrha smiled at him before she began to giggle then let out laughing at him.
"Jaune! You didn't have to!" She said to him.
"Hey, an Arc never goes back on his word," He said as he then extended his hand towards her. "Now do you wanna stand there and laugh at me, or do you wanna dance?"
Pyrrha then offered her own hand and said, "I would love to dance."
Jaune then drags her to the dance floor as she let out a yelp of surprise from this.
"Ren. This... is...happening!" Nora said as she was flailing in excitement while Ren looked at the audience.
"Wait, what "is happening"?" He asked till she dragged him out onto the dance floor with Pyrrha and Jaune. JNPR performs a short but elaborately choreographed dance, culminating in Jaune spinning Pyrrha.
"I had no idea you were a dancer," Pyrrha said to him.
"Yeah, well, these things tend to happen when you grow up with seven sisters," Jaune said as he then dips Pyrrha and then spins her away.
As both Red and Yellow watches, the other students began to join in with the fun doing different dances with their respective partners. The two of them smiled before Yellow tug on Red's hand and he looks at her.
"Let's go outside, the noise kinda bugs me now," Yellow said as Red saw her hat twitched and he smiles.
"Sure," He said as the two then drank their punch as Red look at it weirdly when he finishes it. "Huh? That is really strange."
Yellow then has a small blush on her face as she held on Red's hand and drags him away.
"Whoa! Yellow wait!" Red called out to her while both Blue and Green watched this from afar.
"Yep we're screwed," Green said with dread while Blue shook his head.
"Why did you think spiking the punch was a good idea?"
"I might have done it several times before and I began to think of it as a joke."

"You really have a problem."
Soon enough, both Red and Yellow are outside with the cap wearing teen sitting down on the grass while a tipsy Yellow rest on his lap without her hat while the two watches the stars.
"The sky still looks beautiful don't you think," Red said as he looks right at Yellow's eyes as she looked rather tired.
"Yeah," She said with a smile while enjoying the position she was in.
Red just chuckles as he pats her head and the two continued to watch the stars.
It was so mesmerizing to see, the lack of artificial light give them a beautiful show on the pitch black skies. It was a beautiful sight for him as the stars were different when he was still in Mistral.
"Ugh..." He suddenly hears a moan as Red look at Yellow, who was now looking very flustered.
"Yellow, are you okay?" Red said with worry as she look at him with tired eyes before she hugs him above the waist. He was really surprised by this till he could hear her moan again and he could only shook his head with a smile. "Someone probably spiked the punch and you can't really handle it do you?"
He didn't get a response as he keeps hearing her moan from her intoxication and began to carry her with his arms. Her eyes peering between her tired eyelids as she watches him carrying her and she smiles.
Flying above Vale is a Bullhead as the citizens casually walks below the streets while the flying vehicle continue its journey across the city. The inside is very dim but there are clearly three figures in it.
"It's good to see Vale again," Said by a tough masculine voice.
"So our leader needed us to watch over the city?" Said by a young feminine voice.
"It's in the family's best interest to keep the end of our deal, and to beat out the competition," Said by a serious masculine voice.
"Let's just hope that Red still has it," Said by the first voice while the only feminine voice giggles.
"It might be fun to see him again."
"Focus. We do our mission first before we do anything else," The second masculine voice said but thought about. "And yes, it would be nice to see that young man again."
The first masculine voice let out a laugh and said, "That's the spirit!"
The Bullhead continued to soar above the city while the CCT Tower could be seen in the distance.

And that is it for this chapter.
Just another great chapter for me. I would take their relationship very slow since this is the first time developing a relationship. VTR's was quite hasty so I will take my time on this one.
Also, the singing would barely be in future chapters because some really don't need them. I just add them for the fun of it.
Right now, I am taking small steps for this. I have a lot of time to fix these chapters and future ones.
For now, that would be it for this chapter.
