These are but tiny 100-word snippets of their lives, told one a day, every day, in 2023. 305. Shihai Kuroiro (Vantablack)

A.N. — Yesterday's character had dark in their name, but today's star is the master of shadows. He's also celebrating his birthday, and given the theme I'm on, the other character who shares this date got booted to tomorrow with no guilt. Happy birthday to Shihai Kuroiro, who seems well-suited for the underground.

305. Shihai Kuroiro/Vantablack

Many heroes limited themselves by refusing to act villainous in any way. As the Scheming Hero: Vantablack, Shihai Kuroiro would tread where few others dared... or could.

Black was a simple name for the quirk that allowed Shihai to freely move through any dark surface. If an enemy couldn't see him coming, chances were they wouldn't be able to stop the subsequent sneak attack. It wasn't playing dirty; Vantablack had tailored his style to best utilize his unique talents.

What wasn't among Shihai's skill set was head-on confrontation. He paled in the face of cocky opponents or cute girls.
