"Mother, I'm tired, it's ten already, let's lock up the workshop." Tristan Field suggested, staring at the night sky outside of the workshop window.

"You go first then," Mrs. Field said with a smile, taking a screw out of a small gadget, "Sonia's waiting in the parking lot, I'll be there in a moment."

Tristan nodded, jumping down from the stool he was sitting on and hurrying out the door to find his sister.

"Where's mother?" Sonia asked, tossing back her blond hair.

"She'll be here in a moment," Tristan replied with a yawn, climbing into the car.

There was a clang in the workshop, followed by a sudden flash of light.

Sonia raised an eyebrow, walking towards the shop.

But before she reached the shop, a wave of heat radiated from the workshop, then the workshop exploded in flames.

Red hot flames danced across the roof as Sonia screamed, backing away.

Tristan leaped from the car, banging on the door, "Mom!" he screamed, desperately jiggling the locked door, "Mom! Open the door!"

"Mom! Open the door!" Tristan yelled, kicking at the door, trying to get it to open.

Sonia rounded the workshop to a window, reaching out a hand to push it open. She let out a yelp, drawing her hand back from the burning hot glass.

Sonia watched in horror as flames spread onto her mother's clothing.

"Mom!" Sonia screamed, trying to push open the glass window once more, but when she touched the glass she realized that it was starting to melt.

She felt a tear drip down her cheek when she realized that it was hopeless.

Making her way to the front of the store, Sonia pulled Tristan towards the car.

"Sonia! Mother's in there!" Tristan screamed, thrashing wildly.

"It's hopeless! She's gone! Just like how father left us a year ago!" Sonia yelled, throwing him into the car's backseat.

Tristan felt tears run down his cheek as he hugged his sister for comfort.

"I should've dragged mom out of there." he sobbed, collapsing into a heap.

"There's nothing we can do," Sonia murmured, though tears ran down her cheeks like a waterfall.

Despair washed over them as they watched the workshop burn.

Tristan jolted awake from his horrible dream and realized that he was in the back seat of Sonia's car.

He watched, horrified as the workshop exploded in flames.
