Haddonfield High School…
Laurie and Lynda were walking out of the High School. The school was over for the day and now they could go home. Laurie was still a little shaken about what happened earlier today.
"Oh my gosh, Look at you, Look at all the books you have, you'll need a shopping cart to get home," Lynda said to Laurie. Both of them laughed a bit.
"You know it's so unfair. We have three new cheers to learn in the morning, then in the afternoon. Then I have to get my hair done at five, then the dance at eight. I'll be totally wiped out," Lynda said.
"I don't think you have enough to do tomorrow," Laurie said.
"Totally," Lynda agreed sarcastically.
Laurie and Lynda had walked a little ways away from the school now.
"As usual, I have nothing to do," Laurie said.
"That's your own fault, and I don't feel a bit sorry for you," Lynda said.
They walked for just a little bit longer then Annie came.
"Hey Lynda, Laurie!" Annie said as she caught up to the two of them.
"Why didn't you wait for me?" Annie asked.
"We did, fifteen minutes, and you never showed," Lynda said as the three then walked together.
"That's not true, here I am," Annie said.
They walked more toward their homes.
"What's wrong Annie? You're not smiling," Laurie said.
"I'm never smiling again, Paul dragged me into the boys locker room," Annie said.
"Is that really uncharted territory?" Laurie said.
"Just stop," Annie said.
"Sure, sure," Lynda said.
"Then Paul got caught throwing eggs. Parents grounded him," Annie said. The ladies had no idea, that someone was listening to the entire conversation. He was watching them from the car as he hid behind a corner of the street. He listened carefully.
"The only reason she babysits is to have a boyfriend," Lynda said.
"Shit," Laurie cursed herself.
"I have a place for that," Annie said.
"I forgot my chemistry book," Laurie said. Michael watched them and heard every single word. Forgot her chemistry book at the school, Huh? Maybe he could fix that.
"So, who cares, I always forget my chemistry book, my math book, my English book," Lynda said. Laurie then looked to the road then saw a car driving by. The car looked identical to the one with the man with the white mask she saw earlier. It couldn't be Ben Tramer, he didn't have a car, let alone knew how to drive a car.
Michael drove the car slowly as he watched the girls. But he also kept an eye out for Jason. Who knows how close or how far he would be. Lynda continued to rant on about books not being needed.
Lynda and Annie finally noticed the car as it slowly pulled up to a halt.
"Hey isn't that Devon Tram?" Lynda asked.
"I don't think so," Laurie said. But then the car pulled a little closer to the sidewalk. Michael then grabbed the chemistry book he had in the passenger seat.
The window was open and then he dropped the book on the grass.
Putting Laurie, Lynda, and Annie in a state of confusion. They didn't know what the man dropped.
"I think he's cute," Lynda said. Michael heard her, not his type. Michael then drove off slowly as he sped up just a little.
"Hey, Jerk! Speed KILLS!" Annie shouted.
Speed kills, huh? Okay then.
Michael then put the pedal to the metal, gunning it as the car took off at a much faster speed. Once he got to the end of the road, he slammed on the brakes and stopped.
Annie and Lynda started to laugh a bit. Laurie looked over at what he dropped and walked over to it. She picked it up and walked back to Lynda and Annie.
"What is it? What did he drop?" Lynda said excitedly.
Laurie looked at it a bit.
"It's my chemistry book," Laurie said as she looked back at the car who was still stopped at the edge of the road. He then turned his blinker on to take a right.
"Is it a chemistry book, or is it your chemistry book?" Annie asked with a dirty look on her face.
Laurie opened the book and saw her name on it, in her handwriting.
"It's mine," Laurie said in a little awe. She looked back at the car as it took a right turn after a car passed by.
"Sounds to me that he likes you, Laurie," Lynda said.
"I love a guy with a car who has a big sense of humor," Annie said as they continued walking.
"You know, Laurie, not every guy will think two steps ahead of you. But him, he already knew that you forgot your chemistry book, what does that tell you?" Lynda asked. Laurie thought about it for a moment or two.
"He's just a guy being a stalker?" Laurie said.
Annie and Lynda stopped, then Laurie. Annie and Lynda looked at each other.
"Laurie, Laurie, Laurie, Always so clueless about how men work," Annie said.
Laurie looked at both of them a little confused.
"What do you mean?" Laurie asked.
"Laurie, the guy likes you, you need to find out where he lives and ask him out on a date," Lynda said. Laurie giggled slightly as if it was a joke.
"You know you guys are real crackheads right? I'm not just gonna ask some guy who I don't even know the name of, on a date," Laurie said as they continued walking.
"Well, why not, I did it with Bob, I didn't even know his name until I asked him on a date," Lynda said.
"Laurie, If you want a guy that'll take care of your problems, then one of them just happened to drive right by you," Annie said.
"Okay, who else do you that does that?" Laurie asked.
"Not any that I know of," Lynda said.
"Me neither," Annie said.
They walked for a few minutes.
"So are we still on for tonight?" Lynda asked.
"I wouldn't want to get you in trouble Lynda," Annie said.
"Oh come on, Annie. Bob and I have been planning it all week," Lynda said as she pouted slightly.
"Alright The Wallaces leave at seven," Annie said.
"I'm babysitting the Doyals, it's just a few houses down. Why don't you come over, we can keep each other company," Laurie said.
"Oh, terrific, I got three choices, I can watch the kids sleep, Listen to Lynda screw around, and talk with you," Annie said as the three kept walking. Unbeknownst to them, however, Someone was watching them. And it wasn't Michael.
Jason finally got back to Haddonfield, after having to deal with that Doctor. Even though The Doctor escaped from him, it would be the last time that Doctor got away from him. But now he had different prey. He wasn't after Doctors and Mechanics. He was after the children of Haddonfield. Three of them were walking down the sidewalk, heading home for Halloween. Though he had to be wary of Michael. He would wait it out until nighttime for him to make his move. That way he could avoid getting spotted and strike when everyone was asleep.
Jason walked on the sidewalk as he stood out in the open, watching the three girls walk down the sidewalk, completely unaware of the monster behind them.
The three girls then went back to the subject of the man that dropped Laurie's Chemistry book.
They kept saying they should find him and get to know him better. Laurie wasn't sure. When it came to guys, she wasn't an expert. Annie and Lynda had far better experiences than she did.
They were close to Lynda's home as Jason wasn't far behind. But also another person was nearby too.
Annie and Laurie said their goodbyes to Lynda as she walked into her house.
Laurie then searched through her books and noticed that she had also forgotten her English Book.
"Damn it," Laurie cursed herself again.
"What?" Annie said.
"My English Book, I forgot it too," Laurie said.
Annie looked at Laurie's frustrated expression.
"Maybe He'll drop your English Book off," Annie said, referring to the guy from earlier.
Laurie didn't pay too much attention to Annie, Annie then went back to searching through her bag for a few things.
Laurie then saw him again. But this time, he was standing by the bush up ahead of them. He was wearing that same white mask that she saw outside the school. The one that fought that other one that had the hockey mask on.
Annie didn't notice but Laurie and he was locking eyes with each other.
Laurie could see the slightest shade of blue in his eyes. He tilted his head, then gave a slight wave and walked behind the bush, disappearing.
"Look," Laurie said to Annie.
Annie then looked up and tried to see where Laurie was pointing out.
"Look where?" Annie said.
"Behind the bush, it's the same guy. From the car," Laurie said.
"Oh, Settle is he," Annie said as she walked forward toward the bush.
"Hey, Creep!" Annie said as she hit the bush, but no one was there.
She then placed her hand on her hip.
"Laurie, Dear, he wants to take you out tonight," Annie said. Unknown to her, Michael was still there, he was just hiding behind a house watching her.
Take her out? What's that supposed to mean? As you could probably guess, Michael wasn't very good with women. Dr. Loomis had told him how women were from The Doctor's Perspective.
He told Michael that some women can get on your nerves, and some can make your blood boil like lava. Michael didn't understand that until now. He also heard that she forgot her English Book. Luckily, he noticed before her. But first, he needed to figure out where the girl, named Laurie, lived.
Laurie then started walking toward Annie.
Once she got there, Michael then hid behind the house a little more so he wouldn't get spotted by her so easily.
Laurie realized that Annie was just messing with her, no one was standing there.
"He was standing right there," Laurie said.
"Laurie, scared another one away, or maybe he's just toying with you," Annie said giving a dirty look at the end of that sentence.
"It's so sad, you've never been out, It's almost like that babysitting thing is getting to you," Annie said.
"Guys think I'm too smart," Laurie said. Michael then came out of his hiding place and stood out in the open. Watching Laurie and Annie from behind. Annie said she didn't get out too much. Well, neither did he. He had never been out on a date before. There were a few girls in Kindergarten that had a small crush on him, but he never paid much attention to them.
"Well, Home sweet home, See ya later," Annie said as she walked up to her house and went inside. Laurie kept walking for a few moments. Michael is following not far behind. Laurie then stopped. Michael quickly hid behind another bush to prevent him from getting spotted, just before Laurie turned back around to look behind her.
Laurie then bumped into someone, Michael was very close to jumping out and seeing what was happening, but he peeked through the bush poking his head through it comedically. Poking just his head out. He then saw it was the Sheriff of the Town, Sheriff Brackett.
"Excuse me, Laurie," Brackett said calmly.
"Sorry, Mrs. Brackett," Laurie said.
"Oh, I didn't mean to startle you. You know it's Halloween, everyone's entitled for a good scare," Brackett said.
"Yes Sir," Laurie said as she then walked to her home. Brackett watched her for a few moments then went back into his house with Annie, his Daughter.
