Haddonfield, Halloween…
After Michael was sure the Sheriff was inside his house. Michael came out of his hiding place and followed Laurie.
Laurie walked around for a few minutes. She stopped and smiled. Watching Trick or Treaters go about. Little kids were cute. Michael was trying to keep himself hidden.
Laurie then walked into her house as Michael wasn't far behind. Laurie locked the door behind her and walked upstairs.
Michael then walked to the bedsheets hanging up in the yard. He could see her from the window. She walked to her window and looked like she was about to shut it. Then she saw him again. Michael tilted his head in return for being spotted. He was holding something behind his back. It was yet another present for her. He wanted to try and get him to trust her so that maybe he could…I don't know…get to….know each other.
Laurie kept looking at him for a few more moments, Michael didn't move an inch. She seemed a little spooked by his appearance. Michael knew that standing here wasn't the best idea. Laurie then heard her doorbell ring, she looked away for just a moment, giving Michael a chance to slip away.
When Laurie looked back at the window, The Figure was gone. She then shut her window softly. She walked downstairs and opened the door.
There were a few trick-or-treaters.
"Trick or treat," The little kids said in unison.
"Aww, hi, Little Princesses, and A Prince," Laurie said as she grabbed the bowl of candy and started getting a handful. She gave them each a handful of candy.
"Thank you," The kids said in unison.
Laurie then shut her door as the little kids went off to the next house. Laurie was just about to walk away until the doorbell went off again.
Laurie looked back at the door. This time, she felt more hesitant. No way more trick-or-treaters had stopped by the doorstep. She reached for the door slowly. Then opened it just a crack.
No one was there. But then she saw something on the ground. Laurie opened her door wider and saw a book on her front porch. She picked it up. She looked at it, apparently, it was her English Book. One of the two books she had forgotten at school. She looked around if anyone was near. Or if he was near. She didn't know his name or even came face to face with him. She had definitely seen the guy more than once.
She then heard one of the telephones start to ring. She walked over to it and picked up the phone.
"Hello?" Laurie said. There was a short silence, but that was broken when she heard Annie's voice.
"Hey Laurie," Annie said.
"Hey Annie, What's up," Laurie said trying to act casual.
"I just wanted to tell you I'll pick you up around six," Annie said.
"Alright, I'll be ready," Laurie said.
"Oh, and I talked with one of Paul's Friends, Ben Tramer. He said he wants to talk with you at four just a block away from your house," Annie said.
"Really?" Laurie asked, wanting to know if it was for real. She wondered if it was him that was standing outside her house. And if it was him who was watching her and Annie from that bush.
"Well, Sure, why wouldn't he," Annie said.
"Fine, Tell him I'll meet him there," Laurie said.
"See ya in a few hours," Annie said as they both hung up the phone. Laurie then went to go get ready.
On another Street…
A Car was pulled on the sidewalk. It was dented and had a symbol on it, Smith's Grove Sanitarium. It was Dr. Loomis's car. Dr. Loomis had his head on the wheel, unconscious.
His clothing was slightly ripped up. Then his fingers twitched slightly. He slowly raised his head off the wheel.
He looked around and saw that he was in Haddonfield.
"God Damn you, Jason," Dr. Loomis said to himself. He looked in his side mirror and saw Jason standing a few feet behind the car. Dr. Loomis's eyes widened in shock as he then started the car and put it in drive.
Jason then jumped on top of the car before it drove off. Dr. Loomis drove at a very fast speed. Too fast for the urban speed limit.
Jason was hanging on the car gripping the side of it as he tried to grab Loomis. Dr. Loomis pulled up his window as Jason gave another failed attempt to grab the Doctor.
Dr. Loomis tried to drive without hitting anything or anyone but also tried to stay out of Jason's grasp. Jason then hit the window on the driver's side. Smashing it to pieces, Dr. Loomis shielded himself with his shoulders. Jason then made a third attempt to grab Dr. Loomis, only for him to grab his trench coat on his shirt. Jason pulled the side of it, ripping it just slightly. Dr. Loomis tried to pull away, he then quickly jerked the wheel to make Jason lose his grip on the car. Jason released his arm from Dr. Loomis, trying to focus on staying on the car. Dr. Loomis tried to focus on driving, but Jason made the fourth attempt, but before he could get his hand through the broken window, Dr. Loomis jerked the wheel to the right, using gravity as his advantage to try and buck Jason off his car.
There were some trick-or-treaters on the road. Dr. Loomis turned away from the small group of Trick-or-Treaters, turning onto the side of the road, only for a little girl in a Princess costume to walk onto the road, completely unaware of a car heading right for her.
"Get out of the way! Get out of the way!" Dr. Loomis tried to warn the little girl, but she didn't hear him. Dr. Loomis would either, unintentionally, hit one kid, or many kids. Dr. Loomis would have to try and maneuver around her.
But before that could happen, Jason grabbed the wheel and turned it toward the little girl.
"NO, Jason! NOOO!" Dr. Loomis shouted. A sense of dread and horror filled Dr. Loomis. He then slammed on the brakes as hard as he could, but the traction on the wheels wasn't strong enough, the car was sliding toward the little girl. The little girl then turned her head toward the car and froze in place, filled with fear and confusion.
Just before the car could hit the little girl, Dr. Loomis saw a man in a white mask run to her and scoop her up in his arms. He says running when it was more of a quick flank.
"Michael?" Dr. Loomis said to himself. It was true though, Michael quickly dashed into a flank and picked up the little girl underneath her armpits, and got her out of harm's way.
As soon as Dr. Loomis knew the little girl was okay, he quickly got up to speed as he tried to take a left turn, unfortunately, Jason still had his hand on the wheel. And was steering the car himself. Jason turned the wheel onto the sidewalk as the car hit mailboxes, trashcans, and then a fire hydrant.
The fire hydrant was hit as it flew off into the distance and landed on a harmless area. The force of the stop caused Jason to tumble off the car and fall forward. Going just a few meters away from Dr. Loomis's car.
Dr. Loomis had hit his head on the wheel, he slowly looked up regaining his focus as he saw Jason getting back on his feet. Dr. Loomis's face turned into twisted rage.
"Die, you…Son of a bitch!" Dr. Loomis said as he then put the car in gear, it took off fast, going right for the recovering Jason.
Just as soon as Jason was able to stand on his feet, he turned his attention toward Dr. Loomis's car, only to find it was much closer than he realized. The car rammed into Jason, sending him flying back to a wooden fence. Jason landed on the fence as it broke into a few pieces. Jason laid on the ground unconscious, or so it seemed.
Dr. Loomis took a few breaths in and out. Dr. Loomis then pulled out his gun as he opened his door. His leg was slightly injured from the car accident, but nothing too major where he couldn't walk. Dr. Loomis limped toward the fallen Jason. Just then police sirens went off from behind Dr. Loomis.
A Police car was driving in fast as it pulled to a stop behind Dr. Loomis's Car.
Then two police officers, Officer Frank Hawkins and his partner, Officer Pete McCabe. They got out of their police cars and ran to Dr. Loomis.
"Excuse me, are you okay?" Hawkins asked as he tried to stop Loomis in his place.
"No, don't stop me, he's right there for God's Sake! He needs to die!" Dr. Loomis shouted as he tried to move toward the fallen Jason.
"Sir, we need to get you to a doctor!" McCabe said as he tried to help his partner get Dr. Loomis into their police car.
"No! NO! He's right there! I need to kill him before he kills anyone else!" Dr. Loomis shouted as he turned his attention to the officers trying to get him in the Police Car.
"Who?! Who do you need to kill!?" McCabe asked.
"He's right ther-..." Dr. Loomis stopped when he saw Jason Voorhees was no longer there.
Dr. Loomis freed himself from the Two police officers. Dr. Loomis looked around frantically for Jason.
"JASON!" Dr. Loomis shouted in anger. Dr. Loomis saw from the corner of his eye, a figure walking behind a hedge. Dr. Loomis chased after it as he limped as fast as he could. When he came around the corner of the hedge, he saw Jason walk behind a house.
Dr. Loomis followed after him. The two police officers chased after the Doctor.
Dr. Loomis came around the corner, only to find two bodies on the ground. They were both males, and they were teenagers. One looked like he was stabbed through the gut, the other was decapitated as his head was on the grill.
Dr. Loomis let out a gasp of surprise and fear.
Without warning Jason appeared next to Loomis as he smacked the Grill down on the ground, causing ash to fly from it, caving Loomis with ash clouds. Dr. Loomis couldn't see through the ash cloud. He coughed a little bit but was then grabbed by the throat and pinned against the tall wooden fence. Jason had his grip tight around Loomis's throat.
"Freeze! Drop the weapon or I'll shoot!" Hawkins shouted as he pointed his gun at Jason. Jason, however, wasn't listening as he raised his machete and prepared to swing down on Dr. Loomis.
Hawkins reacted quickly as he aimed just right and shot his pistol at Jason's Machete. Causing it to fly from his hand.
Jason turned his attention to the police officer. Then Frank's partner came as he too aimed his pistol at Jason. Jason reacted quickly as he used Dr. Loomis as a human shield.
"FREEZE! Let him go, or we will open fire!" Pete McCabe shouted at Jason. Jason backed up quickly as he got behind the corner and threw Loomis to the ground. Jason then picked up his Machete as he walked off.
The Police officers ran toward the fallen Loomis.
"Are you alright?" Hawkins asked.
"Don't worry about me! I'm fine! Get him! Don't let him get away!" Dr. Loomis shouted.
"Alright, Frank you stay here and watch him, I'll go after him," Pete said.
"Go. Watch yourself, Pete," Hawkins said as he helped the fallen Loomis up to his feet. Pete ran after Jason as he went the other way. When he did, Jason was walking around a hedge.
"FREEZE!" Pete shouted, but Jason didn't listen he just kept walking as he walked around the corner.
Pete shot his gun.
BANG! BANG!
He shot it twice, each time missing Jason. One hit a harmless spot, the other hit the pole of a street light. Pete chased after Jason. When Pete came around the corner of the hedge, he was expecting the person to swing at him, only to find out that…he was gone. Just disappeared.
Pete looked around frantically in the area. Keeping his gun ready.
There was no sign of Jason. He was gone. Just disappeared like a ghost.
Pete then made his way back to Frank and Loomis.
When he got there, Loomis was back on his feet, carefully examining the bodies Jason had made in just two seconds of his time behind the house.
Frank saw his partner.
"Pete, what happened? Did you find him?" Hawkins asked.
Pete shook his head.
"I followed him around the hedge and he just…disappeared. No footprints, no traces, nothing. He just disappeared," Pete said.
Frank and Pete looked at Dr. Loomis who had gotten back on his feet.
"Who the hell was that?" Pete asked.
"That, was Jason Voorhees. A cold-blooded killer who terrorized this town, fifteen years ago," Dr. Loomis said as he turned his attention toward the two officers.
Frank and Pete looked at each other, then Frank got onto his radio.
"This is Officer Hawkins, We have property damage and two bodies have been found, We have a killer on the loose, he is armed and dangerous. Do not engage without backup, I repeat, do not engage without backup, Over," Hawkins said on his radio.
There was a little bit of radio chatter. Some were talking about the killer being on the loose.
"This is Sheriff Bracket, what does the killer look like, and what's their name?" Sheriff Bracket said on the radio.
"Jason Voorhees, Sir, Dark Hockey Mask, large brown coat, ripped black jeans, and he carries a machete. He's dangerous and strategic, be careful he's got a little disappearing act, Over," Pete said on the radio chat.
Dr. Loomis then grabbed Hawkins's radio.
"This is Dr. Loomis of Smith's Grove, I need to speak with the Sheriff in person, Over," Dr. Loomis said on the radio. There was a short radio silence.
"This is Sheriff Bracket, Dr. Loomis, I'll meet you at the hardware store, I just got a call about a robbery," Sheriff Bracket said.
"I'll be there," Dr. Loomis said as he gave Hawkins his radio back.
"I must be going now, there's much I need to discuss with The Sheriff," Dr. Loomis said as he walked back to his car.
"Sir, We can take you a ride to the Hardware store once Dispatch arrives, your car doesn't seem to be in the best shape," Pete offered a ride.
"No, I can walk to the Hardware store, but I appreciate the offer," Dr. Loomis said as he started walking down the sidewalk.
"Doctor, I highly recommend that we take you, It'll be much safer for you to go by car," Hawkins insisted on helping.
Dr. Loomis stopped for a moment. Then realized that the officers were right. Jason could easily ambush him from anywhere if he were to walk.
"Alright, But we don't have much more time, it's almost nightfall, and that's when he kills," Dr. Loomis said.
