Karen's Home…
A cabinet door opened as Ray. The Husband of Karen. Put a mouse trap in the cabinet.
"You wanna shit under my sink, huh? Well, why don't you try this on for size," Ray said triumphantly, shutting the cabinet doors.
Karen was currently cooking breakfast for her family. They were tater-tots. She touched them to see if they were done, only to find out they were too hot to touch. Though, it was more of the frying pan she touched.
"Switched from cheese to puffy peanut butter. See how the little bastards eat that," Ray said as he walked back over to the mouse traps on the counter. Then Allyson walked into the kitchen.
"Morning," Allyson said.
"I rescheduled my appointment, so I could make it tonight," Karen said talking to her daughter.
"You know you really didn't have to do that, Mom, It's not a big deal," Allyson said as she looked at a few papers that she laid on the kitchen table.
"You getting Award Winning, Honor of Society, is a big deal. Me, I honor society by Building birdhouses and making patios," Ray said as he fiddled around with the mouse traps like a four-year-old.
Allyson gave a slight chuckle.
"We're excited to meet Cameron," Karen said to Allyson.
"Yeah, That whole family thing though, Not your typical type, I heard Lonnie punched a cop in the face," Ray said with brutal honesty.
"Ray," Karen said trying to get him to stop but not saying too hatefully.
"OW! Mother of Fu-...I got peanut butter on my penis," Ray said as a mouse trap snapped on his finger.
"Ew, Dad," Allyson said with a disapproving tone.
"Instant Karma," Karen commented.
"Cameron's a good guy, you'll see, just give him time," Allyson said.
"Yeah, they're good for a little while, but then, They get you pregnant, then you clean guns, you get high, and clean guns, and-" Ray said but was cut off by Allyson.
"Hey, Dad," Allyson said.
"Yeah," Ray asked.
"Can you stop?" Allyson said still continuing to work on the papers.
"I gotta clean this peanut butter off my…" Ray never finished as he walked back to the other room. Allyson then put her papers in her bag and looked at her mom for a few moments.
"Did you call Grandma and Grandpa?" Allyson said catching the attention of her Mom. Karen looked at her daughter with a very confused facial expression.
"About Tonight? You said that you would…" Allyson said.
"Oh, yeah, I did," Karen said.
"I talked to them yesterday, My Dad will be able to make it, but My Mom won't be able to, I'm sorry," Karen said.
"Did you," Allyson said in a disbelieving tone.
"Look, she's paranoid, and my Dad isn't a professional Therapist, She needs real Therapy. She suffers from PTSD," Karen said. Allyson then got up out of her chair. Drinking her orange juice and slipping her bag onto her back.
"Hey, I love you," Karen said calmly. The doorbell rang.
"That's Vicky," Allyson said as she walked to the door.
"Bye Dad," Allyson said as she left the house.
"Okay," Ray said in reply.
Down the Streets of Haddonfield…
"So my mom's a liar," Allyson said. She was walking with her friends. Vicky and Dave.
"What happened?" Vicky asked.
"She said that she invited my Grandmother and my Grandfather tonight, but she didn't. She never even contacted them," Allyson said.
"How do you know?" Vicky asked curiously.
"Because I called them myself," Allyson said.
"That's bullshit," Dave said as they turned a corner.
"What's your mom's deal, Why would she say that?" Vicky asked.
"Something about a whole Boogeymen thing. My Grandpa isn't traumatized by that night, but he's always cautious around this time of year," Allyson said to her friends.
"Wait, isn't your Grandpa, Michael Myers, supposed Hero of Haddonfield from forty years ago?" Dave asked in the question.
"Yeah, but most of the time he's either out of town, or I hardly see him. But every Halloween he comes back," Allyson said.
"Do you think it has something to do with the guy that tried to kill your Grandmother?" Vicky asked.
"It has everything to do with that. My Grandmother talks about it all the time, and Michael tries to keep her mind off of it," Allyson said.
"So, wait, let me get this straight, forty years ago, a guy breaks out of a mental hospital, comes here, looks for another guy, then finds a girl, who's aka, your grandma, falls in love with her, then gets into a fight with a guy in a hockey mask, who killed nine people before then," Dave summarized the events of the night of 78.
"Pretty much," Allyson said.
"Well, your Grandpa seems to get a lot of fame and glory after what he did forty years ago. Doesn't he do Community service or something?" Vicky asked her close friend.
"He does everything for this town, I can't think of a single thing that he's not done for Haddonfield," Allyson said. They stopped next to some pumpkins.
"Hey, you wanna see these pumpkins explode?" Dave said. Dave then brought a small stick of fireworks. He then lit the stick and put it in the pumpkin.
"Go, go, go, go, Happy Halloween!" Dave said as he and the two girls scrambled off. The Pumpkin exploded to pieces.
Haddonfield, High School…
Allyson was sorting through her locker until someone banged on her locker from behind. Causing her to startle. She turned around but saw it was her boyfriend, Cameron.
"I got you, that was a good one," Cameron said.
"Yes that was very good," Allyson said as she leaned on her locker.
"Hey, do you have everything ready for costume tomorrow night cause Bonnie and Cladd must roll as one," Cameron said as he placed a hand on the locker.
"Uhmm, no I'm more focused on tonight," Allyson said. Catching Cameron by surprise.
"Tonight? I thought you were joking when you said your parents were old-fashioned," Cameron said.
"It'll be nice, okay, and you'll finally get to meet my Grandfather," Allyson said.
"Grandfather huh? I'm excited for tonight, I'm excited for tonight," Cameron said two times. Then he and Allyson kissed each other.
"Ugh, you guys are just barf, you're two yucky dumpsters, and I wanna dive in," Oscar said. He was another friend of Allyson and Cameron.
He then broke the two up and forcefully placed a comedic kiss on Cameron's head. Then did it to Allyson, though she didn't put up any resistance, unlike how Cameron did.
"Dude, you got your chap lip crusties all over me now, so thanks," Cameron said sarcastically.
"I know, and you're welcome," Oscar said.
"That's gross," Cameron said.
"It's a little part of me for you, for the rest of your day, okay," Oscar said as Cameron tried to wipe the chapstick off his forehead.
"So, do you have everything ready for your costume tomorrow," Oscar asked Cameron. Cameron then looked at Allyson.
"Uuuh, about that," Cameron said.
"Are we seriously not doing it? You said we would do this whole Halloween Dance thing…and you just, you ditch me, you can't go walking around everywhere breaking people's hearts," Oscar said as he wrapped his arms around Cameron and got behind him.
"Okay, Love birds, Later," Allyson said.
The School bell rang, initiating all the students to head to their classroom.
In another Classroom…
The teacher told the class to open their books to a certain lesson. She then started to read out the book. Allyson sat in her chair. Then something caught her attention. She looked out the window and saw her Grandmother, Laurie, and her Grandfather, Michael, who was still wearing that emotionless, white mask, which had aged quite a bit.
She then looked at the teacher.
They would be waiting for her outside.
