Just outside of the High School…
Allyson looked into an envelope with over three thousand dollars in it. Michael was staring out toward the football field as football players were practicing. Laurie was leaning on the fence next to him.
"I can't accept this," Allyson said as she tried to hand it back to Laurie.
"Use it for whatever your heart desires," Laurie said.
"I'll save it for college then," Allyson said as she held onto the envelope. This caused Michael to let out a sigh of annoyance.
"Fuck College, go somewhere, go to mexico," Laurie said.
"Could you imagine," Allyson said.
"Yeah, I can," Laurie said. Michael then brought out a gift that he'd gotten while he was out of town. It was a small box covered with black fur.
He handed it to Allyson.
"What's this?" Allyson said.
"Michael wanted to give that to you when you turned seventeen," Laurie said. Allyson took the small box.
"Why at that age?" Allyson said as she examined the box.
"Because it's how old I was, when he first met me, after that night, He gifted me, the same gift he's giving you," Laurie said.
Allyson looked at her grandfather who was waiting for her to open it.
Allyson then opened it as it revealed a jewel necklace, with a heart. It was beautiful, she hadn't seen a piece of jewelry like this before.
"Thank you, Grandpa," Allyson said. Michael nodded his head then brought her in for a soft hug. Allyson of course didn't want to be rude, so she hugged back. She loved her Grandparents, Her Grandmother may be traumatized and suffers from PTSD, but she still loves her family. Michael had protected them for a long time, keeping his family safe for 40 years to this day.
Michael then gently released Allyson.
"Don't have a grudge against your mother. She'll freak, but she'll get over it," Laurie said as she patted Allyson's shoulder. Walking away toward her and Michael's truck.
"Why can't you?" Allyson asked. Causing Laurie to stop and turn toward Allyson. Michael stopped too. Turning back around and looking at his granddaughter.
"The Boogeymen? All this hiding, all this preparation, It was all for nothing. It took priority over your family, it cost you your family," Allyson said.
"If the way we raised your mother means that she hates us but that she's prepared for the horrors of this world, then…we can live with that," Laurie said. Michael couldn't agree more.
"Say goodbye to Jason, and get over it, Both of you," Allyson said.
"Goodbye," Laurie said.
Laurie is back at her house in the middle of a large mass of trees just on the outskirts of Haddonfield.
Laurie fires her lever-action rifle multiple times at many mannequins. Hitting them each and every time. Some hit the chests, others hit the faces.
Meanwhile, back inside, Michael has the top half of his mechanic's suit wrapped around his waist. His greasy black shirt remains on the top half of his body. His mask remains on.
All the while, Michael is pummeling a punching bag. Hitting it consistently and fiercely.
Memories of his sister Judith flash in his mind. He then remembers, the machete through her chest as she laid on her back, with the blade of the machete stabbed through her chest. And it was all from Jason.
Michael punched the punching bag so hard, it busts a small hole and breaks it off the chain as it is sent just a few feet ahead of him. The sand in it starts to seep out.
His breathing labors heavily.
7:00 p.m…Small apartment just a few blocks away From Smith's Grove Sanitarium….
Aaron Korey inserts an old tape into a VHS player.
"Dr. Samuel Loomis January 22, 1979. Do You Care to give a brief description regarding your former patient, Jason Voorhees," A male voice is heard.
"My suggestion is termination. Death is the only solution for Jason." The voice of Dr. Samuel Loomis is heard on the recorder.
The scene changes as it is back at Smith's Grove. The guards begin their patient transfer to a new facility. A guard uses a key to unlock the cell to Jason Voorhees. When the door opens, Jason has his back facing the cell door.
The scene changes rapidly, as Jason and many more patients walk down the hall. All of them are chained tightly. While Jason's arms are cuffed with reinforced steel sheets.
"There's nothing to be gained from keeping Evil Alive." Dr. Samuel Loomis continues.
A guard then puts a taser on an inmate's arm. Then shocks the man. The inmate screams.
"A shot of Sodium Thiopental would render him unconscious." Dr. Samuel Loomis continues.
The inmates being transferred line up against the wall.
"I'll be with him to make sure his life is extinguished," Dr. Loomis continues.
A guard then puts a taser on Jason as Jason has not yet revealed his face. The guard tases Jason. Jason looks at the guard. Only a small portion of the side of his face is seen. It's more of a skull at this point.
"My ear on his chest to hear for myself that his vitals no longer function and immediately incinerate the body. It needs to die. IT NEEDS TO DIE!" Dr. Loomis continues.
The scene changes to the outside of Smith's Grove, Laurie sits in her truck. Michael is sitting right next to her in the passenger seat. Laurie gently caresses the trigger of her revolver.
Michael caresses the handle of his butcher knife.
Back in Smith's Grove, Dr. Ranbir Sartain stands near a window. Behind him, Jason and the other inmates start to move into the Prison Bus.
"IT NEEDS TO DIE!" Dr. Loomis shouts through the recorder.
"Don't worry, Jason. I'll be by your side." Dr. Sartain says as Jason steps up on the Prison Bus as it rocks by the weight of the behemoth.
Back in Laurie and Michael's truck.
Laurie drinks a small bottle of alcohol. Michael's grip on his butcher knife tightens just slightly.
"Jason Voorhees is still my patient until he is under somebody else's care, so I'm seeing my duty through till the end." Dr. Sartain says to a Guard. He then enters the Prison Bus.
He sits down in front of the metal gate that separates the inmates from the guards.
Laurie caresses the trigger of her revolver more. Michael's grip tightens on his knife.
The alarms of the Prison gates go off. Michael looks on at the gates as they slowly open.
Both Laurie and Michael see him. The Mask. Jason Voorhees.
"IT NEEDS TO DIE!" Dr. Loomis says one last time through the recorder.
Michael then slams down on the side of the door. And Laurie screams through fear of Jason Voorhees.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"
Restaurant…
Karen, Ray, Allyson, and Cameron were sitting at a table eating dinner and conversating about all sorts of topics. They talked about what they would do, tomorrow, even talking about Cameron's dad, mostly in a good way.
Just outside the Restaurant…
Michael was driving the truck into the parking lot as he put it in the park. Laurie hadn't said a word since they left Smith's Grove. Her lips, however, were still trembling. Michael could tell, she was traumatized and terrified, to say the least.
He couldn't say that he could blame her. He wasn't traumatized since it wasn't in his nature to feel fear. He lost that part of him fifty-five years ago. Which is what he worried about most over himself still having humanity inside of him. First, Jason turned him into what he is now, then he turns the love of his life into something she wasn't.
Michael then turned to Laurie.
"What are we going to do? What if he escapes?" Laurie said as she began to shake slightly. Michael gently cupped the side of her face and placed his forehead on hers.
"If. He. Does. I. Will. Protect. You." Michael muttered a few words at a time. Looking into Laurie's eyes. Reassuring her that nothing will happen to her as long as he lived. This caused Laurie to break down in tears as Michael held her tightly. Comforting her as best as possible.
Michael then wiped her tears as they looked into each other's eyes once more.
"I'm sorry, Let's go to Family Dinner," Laurie said trying to hold her tears back. Michael nodded his head as they released each other. Michael opened his door as Laurie opened hers.
Back inside the Restaurant…
Allyson looked around a bit and then looked at her mom.
"Did you talk with Grandmother and Grandfather?" Allyson asked. Karen looked at her daughter, then took a deep breath in.
"Yeah, They stopped by my office, and we had a nice talk," Karen said, even though she was clearly lying, Allyson could see it.
"Did you," Allyson said in disbelief.
"Well, that's a first," Ray said looking at his wife.
"It was nice, I haven't heard my Dad's voice in a while, so thumbs up there," Karen said, once again, she was clearly lying, Ray just couldn't see it.
Then, Laurie and Michael came through the restaurant door and walked through. Many people's heads turned when they saw The Hero of Haddonfield walk through the door. Some even brought out their phones and took either videos or photos.
"Remember to smile," Laurie whispered to her husband. Causing a slight chuckle from Michael under his mask. They then proceeded to continue toward their family.
They walked around a corner and saw their family sitting at a table.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," Laurie apologized for being Late. As soon as Cameron saw Michael Myers, his face lightened up with surprise, good surprise. A majority of the people in the room were taking pictures or videotaping The Hero of Haddonfield.
"Hi, Mom, Dad, Perfect timing," Karen said sarcastically. You could tell she was very uneasy around her parents.
Laurie looked at Cameron.
"Hi, I'm the Grandmother," Laurie said as she shook Cameron's hand. Cameron shook her's.
"And this is the Grandfather," Laurie said pointing out Michael who was staring blankly at his family. He extended his hand out to Cameron as Cameron shook his hand. He was overly excited and overjoyed to meet Michael Myers, but he was keeping his cool. He was acting pretty chill and cool about it.
"Hi, Michael Myers, It's an absolute honor to meet you," Cameron said, still trying to stay cool. Michael nodded his head, giving him acknowledgement.
"So, how did it go?" Laurie asked her daughter Allyson.
Allyson grabbed the yellow ribbon around her neck.
"Yes, looks good on you, I was an honor for society too," Laurie said.
"Hey, Mom, Dad, why don't you sit down?" Karen asked.
"Oh, no we're fine," Laurie said as she grabbed a glass of wine. She then started to drink it quite heavily.
"Hey, Mom, I thought you quit drinking," Karen said, Michael then gently put his hand on top of the glass wine to stop Laurie from drinking any further. He took it out of her hands, quite gently and set it on the table. Michael then put of caring hand on Laurie's shoulder.
"This is exactly why we don't reach out," Karen said in a disapproving tone.
"Mom," Allyson said in her own disapproving tone, telling her to cool it.
"I'm sorry, We will sit down," Laurie said as she walked around the table. Michael grabbed a chair for himself as he set it next to Laurie.
"Okay, why don't we just press the reset button, why don't we just start over, okay," Karen said in a caring tone. Laurie sat down as Michael sat next to her. Michael could tell that Laurie's tears were coming back. She needed him. It was the very reason why he came back every Halloween. Laurie was always beating herself up. Michael was trying his best to keep her on her feet, and stop her from doing anything rash. But, she had every right to feel this way. People wouldn't understand what they had been through.
Many say that no one could be traumatized for as long as Laurie has. But they were wrong. After what happened forty years ago, was something that would traumatize anyone. Except for Michael. It wasn't the fact of how many people Jason killed, it was the fact of what the people did to him. What Michael did to him. Stabbed through the gut with a machete was nothing to sneeze about, neither was taking six shots to the head.
"I'm sorry," Laurie said as she started to cry slightly. Michael then gently grabbed her shoulder and turned her toward him. Placing his forehead on Laurie's.
"We saw him, The Mask, We saw him," Laurie said as Michael tried to keep her calm, gently comforting her.
"Mom, please," Karen said trying to keep that name out of the family table. Michael was still trying to keep her calm. Gently comforting her. Now, nearly everyone in the Restaurant had stopped and got their phones out, recording or taking photos. Even listening carefully to the conversation.
"I didn't know what to do," Laurie said.
"Mom, you said you would put all this behind, right, I mean, Dad's been trying to help you get through this, he wants what's best for you," Karen said trying to get her mother's attention.
Michael took a small breath in.
"Laurie," Michael said quietly. Though it was enough for Allyson and Karen to hear. But Cameron nor Ray, neither anyone in the hotel could hear him speak.
This caught Laurie's attention. She looked into his eyes with tearful eyes. They looked at each other for a moment. Then Laurie broke down as she hugged Michael, causing Michael to hold her close.
The Alarm sirens from the Facility could be heard in her ears as Michael held her tightly. She then started to illusinate Jason's breathing.
Even though no one else could hear it.
