A few streets away from the Hospital…
Pete and Hawkins sat in their police car. Sitting on the edge of the road. Keeping watch on the streets for Jason Voorhees.
"Can you believe it," Frank said.
"Nine bodies in one day, Dr. Loomis said he shot the guy in the head six times, No man could survive that," Pete McCabe said.
"The doctor said that he isn't a man at all," Frank said to his partner.
They sat there in silence for a few minutes. Kept a watch out the window.
"So, What do you know about Michael Myers?" Frank asked Pete. Probably knowing that he knew who Michael was back then.
"Michael Myers? He was a quiet kid, mostly kept to himself. The ladies though, they were really into him. I saw him at a Halloween party when we were, maybe, five years old, he didn't say a lot, other than muttering a few words. There was this one girl that really liked him, Karen, I think that was her name, she was obsessed with Michael, didn't pay attention to any other guy. After the news spread about Michael killing his seventeen-year-old sister, she didn't believe it, frankly, a lot of the kids didn't. Karen could never get over Michael not being there. Still don't think she has. I heard she works at The Hospital, always listening to the news or anything she could find on Michael Myers," Pete McCabe said to his partner.
Just then a young girl banged on the window of the police car. She had blood all over her body, all across her face.
"HELP! HE'S IN MY HOUSE!" The young girl said.
Frank opened his door as he got out of the vehicle. His partner followed after.
"Ma'am, are you alright? What happened?!" Frank said as the girl shook violently.
"This is Officer McCabe, we need an ambulance asap, We're near 337 Al's Homer Gas Station," Pete said on his radio on his shoulder.
"Here, here, get in the car," Frank said trying to calm her down.
Frank opened the door as the girl sat in the passenger seat.
"He came up from behind, my husband is still in there!" The girl said.
"Is he still in there?! Okay, wait here, we'll come back for you," Pete McCabe said. He then motioned his head toward the House that she came from.
Hawkins followed him.
They got to the house, through the back door. They both leaned on the wall, Hawkins was on one side, McCabe was on the other. They pulled out their pistols ready to shoot. McCabe then motioned his eyes toward the doorknob. Hawkins nodded his head in return. He slowly reached for the doorknob as Pete aimed his gun at the door.
Hawkins had his grip around the doorknob and got ready to open it.
"Alright, ready…3…2…1…GO!" Pete whispered the countdown, once when it hit one, They busted down the door and aimed their guns in the house. The house was dark. The power was most likely out. They slowly advanced further into the house.
"This is The Sheriff's Department of Haddonfield, If you need assistance then let yourselves be known," Frank said loudly. There wasn't a response of any kind. There was soft music playing in the living room. Pete followed Hawkins and watched his partner's back.
"I repeat this is, Haddonfield Sheriff's Department, if you need assistance, please let yourselves be known," Hawkins said through the house. The music player was still playing gentle music. More of like gentle Dance music. Pete then stopped the music recorder from playing.
"Frank, Go check the other rooms, I'm gonna sweep the living room," Pete said to his partner.
"Stay Sharp, Keep your eyes open," Frank said as he walked to another room.
Pete then advanced further into the living room. Then he saw a person sitting on the couch.
"Sir, Sheriff's Department," Pete McCabe said as he inched closer to the person. They didn't move an inch. Or say a word. Pete continued to move a little closer. Then he slipped just slightly on a wet substance on the floor. He looked down at it and saw it was blood. Pete looked at it a bit suspiciously. Then turned his attention back to the person who was sitting on the top of the couch.
"Sir?" Pete said as he touched the shoulder of them, only for it to fall off the couch and lay in front of Pete. The man wasn't alive. He was dead. He had a large knife in his chest as blood oozed out from his mouth and chest. His eyes were open but lifeless. Pete started breathing heavily at the sight of the corpse.
Backing up slowly away from the body.
"Frank, We need to leave," Pete said as he turned around only for a force to smash him down on the table. A rope was strangling Pete by the neck. It was Jason.
CH CH CH CH HA HA HA HA CH CH CH CH HA HA HA HA
Pete tried to aim his gun at Jason's head. But Jason released Pete for maybe a second to try and sit up, only for Jason to continue to strangle him. Slamming him back down on the table with the rope. Pete punched Jason in the side, hitting his liver. However, it did little to nothing to Jason.
"JASON! STOP!" Frank shouted as he aimed his gun at Jason. Jason took notice as he then released Pete from being strangled. He turned toward Frank who had his gun aimed at him.
"GET DOWN ON THE GROUND! AND PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR!" Frank said sternly, trying to act tough and unafraid of Jason. In reality, Frank was terrified at the moment. He didn't know if Jason would go down without a fight. But instead of lashing out at him, Jason simply stood his ground. Then slowly got on his knees and put his hands on his head. Frank was starting to believe it was actually working. Pete got back on his feet as he coughed slightly.
"Pete, you okay," Frank asked his partner but kept his gun fixed on Jason.
"Yeah, *Cough* I'm alright," Pete said coughing mid-sentence.
Pete then brought out handcuffs from his pocket as slowly moved toward Jason who hadn't moved an inch.
Pete grabbed one of Jason's arms, and Jason seemed to be complying. He then moved his other arm behind his back as Pete handcuffed him. Locking them in place as Jason had his arms handcuffed. Hawkins got on his radio.
"This is Officer Hawkins. Deputy Hunt, Dr. Loomis, we got Jason, We're taking him to the police station," Frank said on his radio as Pete pushed Jason forward, even though it didn't move him that much, Jason corporate and moved toward the door. Frank then looked at an additional body. He let out a small sigh.
"We've got another body," Frank said on his radio.
"Copy that Hawkins, Take him to the Police station, Make sure to keep an eye on the bastard," An Officer said on the radio.
"Yes Sir," Hawkins said. They then moved Jason toward the outside as an Ambulance and a few other police cars had pulled up to theirs. The Girl that had survived Jason was on a stretcher being loaded into the hospital.
"Ma'am, could you tell me your name," Budd asked the girl.
"Maureen, Maureen Prescott," Maureen muffled the words.
"Alright, Ma'am we're gonna get you to the clinic," Jimmy said as they put her in the cargo bay. Jimmy got in the back as Budd went into the driver side and drove off.
The officers that were near Frank and Pete's car turned their attention to the three of them.
There were at least six other officers waiting for them.
"You actually managed to get him?" One of the officers asked.
"He surrendered on his own, Don't know why," Pete said as he pushed Jason into the back seat of their Police car.
"Alright, let's get this bastard over to the police station, then we'll figure out what to do with him," One of the other officers said. They all got into their vehicles, closing their doors and turning on their sirens. They then made their way to the Police station with Jason Voorhees in the back seat of the middle Police Car.
Frank was sitting in the passenger seat. He still felt a little shook by Jason. He turned his head back just slightly to see Jason staring at him.
CH CH CH CH HA HA HA HA CH CH CH CH HA HA HA HA
Jason tilted his head. Frank feeling a little weirded out, turned his head back to the front of the car.
"This bastard's breathing is loud as hell," Pete said.
"I don't like it," Frank said.
"Yeah, his breathing's kinda freaky," Pete said.
"No, no, no, I don't like the way he surrendered, Dr. Loomis said…" Frank was about to finish.
"Dr. Loomis is a Doctor, not a Gun expert or a Police Officer. He didn't shoot him six times in the head. If a bullet actually hit him in the head, he would've died, if not, then blood loss and brain damage would do the trick," Pete said to Frank explaining that Jason was no more than a deranged man.
"I think Dr. Loomis is right, There's a reason to be afraid of him," Frank said as he looked in the mirror that showed the back as Jason stared at nothing. Just staring into space.
The truth was…He was waiting for the right moment to strike. If they take him to the police station, then he could break out and be a few blocks closer to The Myers House. Where his Mother was waiting for him.
Then on there was more radio chatter.
"Deputy Hunt, There have been two more bodies found in a house close to the Doyal's house. We'll retrieve the bodies and head to the Hospital. Still, no sign of Michael Myers," The last line that the Officer said on the radio, caught Jason's attention. He then snapped back to reality and turned his head toward the radio.
Michael Myers…Alive?
Guess Jason still had some business to deal with.
