Summary: Striker makes breakfast for his pregnant wife.

Jane found herself alone as she awoke that morning. Striker's side of the bed was empty. she wondered where he had gone until she sensed a faint smell of fresh bacon. Jane let out a huff as she sat up on the bed, hand stroking her pregnant belly. Something kicked against her hand.

"I know, it smells nice. How about we go see what daddy is doing?" she lovingly whispered to the little one.

"The aroma intensified as she walked downstairs, one hand gripping the railing, another resting over her belly. Just like she imagined, Striker was in the kitchen, wearing an apron as he cooked breakfast. Sweet Satan, he looked so hot! Striker was so focused on the task that he didn't notice her until she was right next to him.

"So, what are you making for breakfast today?" she purred into his ear.

Though he didn't jump, Striker glanced at his wife in surprise. "Jane, I thought you were still in bed."

"I was until I smelled something delicious in the kitchen," Jane ran her hands down Striker's shoulders as she kissed his cheek, sending pleasant shivers down his spine. He loved when she did that. His tail rattled in response to the stimuli. Jane rubbed her abdomen. "Sweet satan, he just has to kick whenever he hears your tail."

"Oh, really?" Striker smirked and rattled his tail again.

Another kick, a bit more energic this time. "Stop teasing the baby, you dork!" Jane laughed, playfully smacking her husband's back.

A few minutes later, they went to sit at the table. Jane almost marveled at the sight: pancakes, eggs, buttered toast, and golden, crispy bacon. One might think that it was too much for only two people, but technically she's been eating for two these past months, and Striker knew that.

Jane recognized a particular dish. "Clayton, is that...?"

"Eggs benedict, darlin'. You mentioned you've been cravin' these fancy eggs for a while." Striker carefully placed the dish in front of his wife. "I must say they were a pain in the ass, though." He sighed.

"No bad words around the baby, Clayton." Jane felt her mouth watering at the delicious smell from the eggs. The baby gave an unusually strong kick. Jane smiled, stroking the spot. "Looks like the baby wants to try it too."
