"This haul is definitely worth frequent revisits." Marianne said as she went through the medical supplies I looted from the Rapture dungeon. "Food, machines, that oxygen factory will be a perfect greenhouse. You're definitely gonna need to go back David."
"Yeah I know." I nodded. "It was a good haul, and we'll be set for a while."
"We need to be more than set while we're here, we need to be overstocked." Marianne said, rubbing her eyes. "When do you think you'll be ready to head back down?"
"As soon as possible, I didn't really use up any energy while down there, but the only thing I suppose would be the proper question is, how soon can the dungeon's restock on everything?" I brought up. "Cause while I didn't really spend any energy down there, far from it, I doubt it'll be good as new if I immediately go down there so soon."
"Assuming they follow normal dungeon rules, a day for the lootable items and such, a year for things like the Oxygen factory and that Gatherers Garden."
"Alright…so I'm gonna have to go down and look for other places that isn't that one specifically." I said honestly.
"It's more than likely big enough. This whole planet is an endless Hazard Zone, dungeons will be everywhere."
"I still hate how we were forced here…" I sighed. "But I'll try going down again to see if there's another dungeon around."
"That would be best…" Marianne said with a sigh.
"I know…" I said sadly.
"I don't mean to sound impatient or mad, I'm just… stressed. Dying here means respawning somewhere completely random and Mother help us if we end up near the Chaos Guilds."
"Listen," I said, putting a hand on her cheek and having her look at me. "Everything's going to be alright, nobody's going to die, and nobody is going to be caught by Chaos Guilds, alright?"
"I hope not…"
"Trust me, I wouldn't have been personally trained by All Might to let you all down." I said with a smile, hoping to at least raise some of her hopes up.
"I know… I just…" She took a deep breath. "Maybe I need a nap or something."
"Then get your sleep, we have other doctor's on hand." I said, considering our many, many lover's, I'm sure at least some of them are doctor's or at least know something about medicine.
"Yeah… hopefully I can get at least a few hours. You stay safe okay?"
"I will." I said, giving my loving birb a kiss. "Now get your rest okay?"
With a nod Marianne left to the bedroom.
"Damn, I've never seen Marianne so stressed." Abby said, still reading in me as a Symbiote.
"Yeah…this really sucks…" I mentally sighed. "We really need more help…this is too much…"
"Why not ask for some help? It's not like most of our lovers aren't also combat ready."
"I mean, while that's true…I don't want to risk their safety in this damned place."
"Ironic given that's also Marianne's worry. Well, there is one person we can take who can both keep up and won't go down easy."
"And who's that?" I inquired, cause going through my head on all my spouses was…sometimes really hard.
"Who do you know that can keep up with us that has almost all our shared abilities?"
Hm… oh, Ah!
Debby drop kicked the Big Daddy into a steep beam, and I finished them off with a Harden, Speed Force boosted punch, destroying them.
"Man this feels great." Debby said as they picked up the Drill off the Big Daddy.
"Oh yeah, this is amazing." I said with a warm smile.
This worked out great. Debby had all my abilities and Abby's, save one. Generation. However, given she also had One for All as well, it wasn't much of an issue.
"So, anything we looking for specifically right now?" My fusion… kinda daughter asked.
Our relationship is a bit odd. She's definitely part of the family, Marianne and Vais have been with her, mostly Marianne, but I kinda see her… like a sibling… kinda a daughter too given she is made from me and Abby fusing.
"I like to think of her as a cousin." Abby said.
"Cousin works." I mentally answered. "So, we're going to be looking for anything involving food, medicine, little sisters, anything of use really." I said honestly.
"Sounds like a plan. Hmm… I know In the games they ordered the steel and glass from various places then took the assembled parts to be sunk and placed underwater so… it would make sense that if Andrew wanted to make his city self-sufficient they would work on building an undersea mine."
"That is true." I hummed "Hmm, a map to the mines should be around here somewhere."
"Hopefully the meeting mines are close." Debby added as we walked around. So far, some canned goods, furniture, basically we're taking everything. Even whatever is bolted down. "So, find anything interesting when you were here?"
"Well, there were a lot Plasmids, materials, and the entire Green House I took." I said honestly. "But there should be more interesting things around here that I haven't found yet."
"Great, we get to let loose our inner Bethesda Player." Debby said with a grin.
"Just with a lot less glitching…" I said, but saw a Splicer…fucking walking down through the cieling and then through the floor like a ghost. "God damn it…" I groaned.
"Wonder if that's a Houdini Splicer?" Debby said, pulling out one of the shotguns I got from the TF2 classes and blasting it's arm off as they collapsed dead. "Bright side, even the minigun for me isn't too heavy, so I packed all those weapons."
"Which is great." I nodded. "Gonna need all the fire power we can get in case this place decides to throw a curveball at us."
With that, Debby and I made our way through more parts of the place. We arrived at a shopping center and after killing some Splicers, we began to break open shops. First was clothes. Second was books. Third was jewelry and perfume. This next place was a bar.
"Huh. Looks more rustic than I expected." Debby said as we checked the booths.
"Well, rustic it maybe, but the place at least has good booze." I said, seeing the many brands that were top of the line cause the old bastard wouldn't waste any expense for his anarchy city.
"Fair." Debby said, helping me store the cans, bottles and kegs Into our Assistants. "Say, Abby is your acting symbiote right?"
"That is indeed the case, oh wait." I felt like my throat shifted. "Yes." Abby said through me.
"Well, if I'm half Abby, can't I also do that? I don't wanna stay there, I just wanna see."
"Well…you would technically be a quarter Symbiote…do you have any symbiote skills?" I inquired.
"She's half me so, yes." Abby added, taking over my voice box again. Huh, that's gonna take some getting used to.
"Cool, let me see then…" Debby said, putting both hands on my shoulders. She focused for a while and to my surprise her body did turn liquid, and flowed into me as well. "Woah! This is kinda cool."
"Feels a little cramped though…" Abby said.
"I have an idea~" Debby said, suddenly my chest grew a size and a half bigger… same with my butt. Oh come on.
"Works for me!" Abby said.
"Well…" I muttered, looking over my new figure. "Seriously girls…my ass and tits can only be so big…any bigger and the clap of my asscheeks could wake up even the eldritch beings below us."
"Heh, fine, but if you ever want to give the bimbo look another shot, let me know." Debby said, flowing back out of me and with her my figure shrunk back to normal. Few… thank god that didn't rip my pants, bra or shirt. Stretchy sports bras for the win!
Don't care about them not being the norm, comforts first, abilities to keep them perky are a lifesaver…
I learned way more about the female body than I thought I could…
I shook my head.
"I'm so very glad that most clothing stores decided to focus on comfort and support than whatever the hell normal women's clothes are…"
"It's been that way in this reality forever. Your old one just sucked. No offense." Abby said.
"Well, guess we should move on now. Doesn't look like there's anything else- wait…" Debby said, heading over to another booth.
"Yes, it did." I told Abby, following after Debby. "What did you find?"
"This booth doesn't look right…" Debby said, kneeling down under the bar and she pushed something. A click and the table hissed as the whole booth slid back and revealed a hidden staircase. "Sweet! Secrets."
"Awesome." I said with a giant smile. "Secret staircase is always a fun thing to see."
We quickly made our way down, dealing with a few traps and opening a door to a secret storeroom. Here were crates of guns, ammo and explosives. "This might have been one of those Fountain illegal items. Cool."
"Well, we'll be good on weapons and ammo for a while." I said honestly.
"Good. Was running low on shotgun ammo."
We took everything, then left and continued our endless looting.
Seven hours later we were taking a break in someone's former apartment. "Man, these dungeons really feel like this was once Rapture." Debby said as we laid on a mattress.
"Yeah, it makes you wonder if this place was actually Rapture, then suddenly was retrofitted to become a dungeon." I said honestly.
"Eh. So…"
"So…" I looked over to Debby.
"What are we exactly?"
"That depends on what you think we are." I said honestly. "Cause Abby think's your our Cousin…and while I will agree you are your own separate person, with your own thoughts and feelings…can't help but feel conflicted about thinking of you like our daughter when…well…" I trailed off, blushing a bit at remembering all those times Debby went at it with Katsuki and Marianne.
"I know. Having both your memories made the foundation of my personality but since getting my own body I've grown more… and honestly I'm not sure exactly either. I have the same romantic feelings as you with Marianne, Vais, the same parental love of the kids as you, but because I have both of your memories I also feel… the same romantically to you both… yet I also kinda see you as family, which makes me feel weird…"
"Yeah, this is all sorts of weird…" I sighed. "But…all I can say, as someone that's been going through so much nonsense I could open up my own Nonsense Business…you're here, you're family, and I'm glad you're with us." I said simply with a warm smile.
"Heh, thanks. Mind if we… cuddle, at least?"
"Sure, I'm always up for cuddles." I said with a smile.
"This will probably turn into something later, but at least slow for now given our mixed feelings." Abby added as I got into the little spoon position as Debby and I got comfy.
We took a nap, waking up two hours later and got back to the looting.
We came across a pharmacy and as we were raiding the medicines I found another Prize Pod. A Servant Class.
"Oh? Well…we should probably wait until after we get to the surface." I hummed at seeing the prize pod.
"Alright." Debby said as she put the pod into her Assistant. "Wonder what else is around-"
"Greetings!" Debby and I jumped at suddenly seeing that there was now a fox-man standing there. "I am Argo, and you two look like customers wanting a grand old time!"
"When did you get here?" I asked, readying myself for a possible fight against this guy even if he said 'customers'.
"Ten minutes ago." He stated with a smile. "All are welcome, all will leave satisfied and no refunds."
"What…are you selling?" I asked carefully.
"Only the best long time pop up and disappear franchise of entertainment on Armageddon ever! A positive experience!"
He suddenly pulled out a cane from somewhere and used it to motion to a store we had already previously looted, now lit up.
"And… the positive experience is…?" Debby asked.
"Booze, music and hookers! The best kind of positive experience this crap show planet can offer!"
"And…this isn't a trap either from this planet wanting to fuck with us or a Chaos Guild suddenly showing up out of nowhere?"
"My good potential customer, we might be technically a chaos Guild but that is only because we can't leave the planet to have our guild certified by The Family." The fox man Argo said. "But allow me to say, The Happiness Guild has never been affiliated with the likes of Nexus or Lust in any way, you won't find a Breeder working in our brothels or Slaves or Serfs working anywhere in our pop up establishments."
"So you decided 'I'll make a better Chaos Guild, with Blackjack and Hookers'?" I asked.
"Gambling is available. If skin or liquor ain't your poison." He chuckled. "We've got men, women, hermaphrodites, synthetics, Shapeshifers, genderless, and almost every species. And if you're the kind who's into stuffing your bed mate full we got sex bots, infertile and cleaned hourly."
"Huh…right then." I said honestly. "So…your guild just kinda…pops up wherever they want or do you need some specific places to set up?"
"We have a scout check a location, we mark it and leave behind a special teleport crystal that we use to zip away whenever a chaos Guild member comes near. Especially if they're from Lust."
"Yeah, that would make sense." I nodded. "And currently, we're trying to make a little settlement on a turtle above us." I brought up.
"Hey, permanent real estate. Got a decent consumer population? We'd be more than interested in renting a place."
"They're all Lovers and kids…" Debby said.
"I see. We can wait eighteen years."
"Yeah…" I said nervously. "But…might as well see what you have to offer." I said honestly.
"This way." He lead.
We followed him in and inside was… well, it was like a nightclub and a strip club together. Basically naked people walking around, dancing and some serving food and booze platters. The servers, dancers, and all the… employees were… all very… very hot…
"Sup cutie?" A server, a tall wolf man with… abs… winked…
"Damn…" Debby said.
"Holy crap…" Abby added.
"Did…did we somehow clip into heaven?" I asked in awe.
"Heaven with a price tag." Argo said. "Each touch is a hundred rem, genital and breast/butts are two hundred, but sex well they each charge different prices."
"Wow… do we have time for this… also, should we be here?" Debby asked.
"Uh…we probably should leave…before we get wrapped up in horny and lose all our money…"
"Right…"
"Awh…"
We left quickly and spent an hour calming down. Well… definitely did not expect to run into a guild that's basically Vegas…
Once we were down from the horny high, we went back to looking around. More stores, houses and such. Killing Splicers, Big Daddies and saving Little Sisters.
Eventually we found everything in this area of the city, and are now on the way to the next huge building/area of this place.
"So… still can't get that place out of your head either?"
"Yeah…so many…titties and asses…" I blushed brightly.
"That wolf guy was… woah… it's like Vais but… different…"
"Oh she is so us." Abby said with a laugh.
"Yeah." I mentally nodded. "Right…" I said, slowly taking a deep breath. "Fuck it, I'm going back."
"We can't. Money… plus, isn't that cheating?" Debby said.
Crap… she is right. It's not like back home I'm lacking in love either… damn loner mindset and libido… even after becoming a father and mother I can't keep it in line…
"That's all true…" I sighed. "Never mind, let's just finish up here and get home…"
"Well… ugh… we're both too horny so, Fuck it. Which of us will be bottom first?"
"I do want to plow your ass…so…I'd say your bottom first?"
"Heh. Fine, but don't expect mercy once it's my turn~"
[Hr]
"Welp, that was fun~" Abby said, having stayed as a passenger my whole session with Debby… what a ride~
"Heh… I think we both really needed that…" Debby sighed from under me.
"Yes…yes we did…" I sighed happily, cuddling up to Debby happily.
"So, wanna clean off with water powers or see if there's a working shower somewhere?"
"We can try to see if there's a working shower but we're probably gonna have to do clean water."
We ended up cleaning up using water abilities and we're both feeling ready for some more searching.
"So, wanna do this often?"
"Yes." I answered readily. "Cause boy was this a fun ride." I said, giving Debby a playful slap on her rear.
"Ah! Oh you!" She retaliated by pinching mine. "I'm you plus Abby, I can play pervy."
"Yeah I know, still had fun." I said with a smile.
"Hmm… heh. Odds are we'll get these issues for a while on and off, so, when we do, to avoid making a horrible mistake, we'll stick together and when the itch comes up, we help each other scratch it."
"Of course." I nodded. "Now, back to exploring and looting"
With a nod, Debby and I headed off.
We found more stuff, food, meds, furniture and anything else.
We opened a new area and- woah.
"Awh cool! Submarine sales floor!" Debby said, all the various deep sea bathospheres around. "If not for using personally, parts and such can work for other stuff."
"Oh yeah, this'll be very useful." I said honestly. "And I'm sure we could also use these to search the water's easier than just me and you doing this."
"Also, deep sea fishing. I feel like a big squid, shark or whale would keep meat on the table for a while." Debby added.
We got all of them and parts, working and not, and once this place was all cleared out and we dealt with another big daddy and saved another little sister. This one was a naga girl.
We wrapped it all up with one last run through this building and the prior one before heading back.
We got home late, dealing with only a few more shadow Creatures that spawned in after the moon came up and made it home to the couch once we dropped all the loot into storage and had it sort everything.
"Well, that was exhausting." Debby sighed.
"Yeah, it was." I yawned. "But another successful trip."
"At least we got a decent break while we were there." Debby said with a smirk and chuckle. "... We didn't use protection did we?"
"I…don't think we did…uh…" I blinked.
"... Fuck… this is gonna be a recurring problem with us I just know it…"
"Yes, yes it is…" I agreed. "Oh boy…but at least neither of us are Den Mother's, so there's a chance you won't immediately get pregnant."
"True… guess we'll know in a few weeks…"
"Yep." I nodded. "Hopefully it's a false alarm…" I sighed, hating how I have to say such a thing when I want to be a parent but…this hellscape isn't a place for children.
"I mean… if we have to we can… Marianne can probably perform an abortion. If need be… or some alternative options?"
"She probably can. If abortion isn't your thing, she can probably extract the embryo and place them in a willing surrogate." Abby said. "Lot of people in hero guilds and villain guilds do it as a means to be parents and keep working."
"I…want to give the kid's a chance…but…" I growled. "I hate this so much…our kids shouldn't have to deal with this bullshit."
"If we build this place right they won't have to." Debby added.
"That's true…" I nodded. "Just…I suppose I should be glad this is a more 'ignored' area than anything…"
Two weeks later… Debby and I were pregnant…
We decided that Marianne should remove and implant them into a surrogate so Debby and I can keep fighting. Luckily our Den Mother lover Cathy happily took the role.
"You sure you're okay with this?" Debby asked.
"Of course! I love you both, and I am a Den Mother. Biologically, I'm the perfect mother. I've already been helping the rescued little sisters you two saved adapt to life here." Cathy said, hands over her belly as the embryos were already within her. "Two is actually very small for a Den Mother to carry."
"Still, this is…not an ideal circumstance for us to be perfectly honest." I said nervously.
"We can make it work. I have faith in you two." Cathy said, giving us a smile. "So, when will I expect the next batch to be carrying?"
"We just- what?!" Debby said.
"Hey, Den Mother, like I said, two is small for me to be carrying. These two will be fully grown and I'll still look flat stomached." Cathy said with a chuckle.
"I mean…" I sighed, might as well just say it. "While I would love to breed you till you're a bloated, quivering mess, there's…a lot of shit to do right now, farms to set up, resources to continue collecting…there's a lot…"
"I understand. I guess you two should get to it. Meanwhile I will get back to the milking room."
"Right… I forgot you all were doing that." Debby said.
"Keeps butter and cheese in the fridge. Also, milk." She nodded, getting up and heading back to said milking room.
Debby and I went outside and met with…
"Hi dad." Luna said, looking up at me.
"Hey Luna." I said warmly. "How are you doing?"
"Good. I'm helping make stuff." She said, pulling out a small hand held… thing- wait Is that-
She pointed it at a spot in the ground and in blue lines of 3-D blueprints was built a small robot that moved over and began cutting down a tree from the very bottom of the trunk.
"Where did you get that?" I asked.
"I made it in Uncle John's old workshop."
I blinked. "You just…made that?" I asked in awe.
"Well the machines had it in their internal blueprints. All I did was grab and put the raw materials in the machine and read the instructions once it was done. As long as I have raw materials in my assistant, this thing can build stuff portably."
"Okay, that's cool." I nodded. "So, are you interested in engineering?" I inquired.
"Kinda? No more school so it's something to do." Luna shrugged, letting the hand held builder make a hand pump water well. She then gave it a few pumps and water came up and out.
"Subnautica thank you for the handheld builder." I sighed out happily.
"What else have you been making?" Debby asked.
"Several wells, some tools for the gardens, pens for animals, a coop for some wild turkeys we caught, this gun." Luna then pulled out a revolver-
Woah!
I took that from her quickly.
"No, baby does not need a gun." I said quickly.
"I already shot it. At nine squirrels, six birds, two wolves, and sixty three Shadow Creatures." Luna said.
"How?!" Debby and I yelped.
"Mamma Clare was teaching me."
Clare? Clare… Clare… must be one of the Lovers I haven't met yet.
"And where's Clare?" I asked carefully.
"Out hunting I think."
"Alright." I nodded. "Could have told me sooner you were wielding a gun…"
"I know. But I made sure Tina and Tony didn't."
"That's… oddly better." Debby said.
"Alright, at least those two aren't using guns…" I sighed.
"So… Can I have my revolver back?" Luna asked.
I was rather conflicted at this, cause I didn't want my baby to have a gun…but she said she was trained to handle it properly and apparently was a decent shot. "I don't like it…baby shouldn't have a gun…but fine…" I sighed, gently handing over the gun to Luna.
"I'm almost seven." Luna said.
"You could be a million years old and I'll still call you my baby." I said, picking up and giving my daughter a hug.
"Wow. Wonder how things will be when I am a million years old?"
I chuckled. I forget people live incredibly long lives here… how will we be in a million years? Will we still be stuck here? Will we be free?
"Just…hope we'll be off this planet way before a million years." I said honestly.
I put Luna down. "So, do you need anything built?"
"Hmm…" I hummed, thinking if there was anything that should be built. "Got any idea's Debby?"
"There are coops, wells and such… I guess a barn and then some houses. Eventually we'll be finding more and more Prize Pod people, or some of the kids as they get older will just want to move out, so setting up the foundation of a village here would be a smart idea." Debby said.
"Yeah, that would work." I nodded. "Oh, speaking of, what about that prize pod we found before?"
"Well, one is a Lover Class, but the symbol means a new child. The other is a servant. Shall we open them?"
"Yay, new baby!" Abby said.
"Sure." I nodded. "Let's open them up and see who the new baby is and who our new friend is going to be."
With a nod, Debby and I brought out the pods.
The first one I opened was the child pod. Inside was a little tiger kitten.
[Name: Jill
Species: Anthropomorphic Tiger.
Age: 1]
"Look at this little floof ball, their adorable." I giggled happily.
I picked Jill up and my little tigress opened her big amber eyes at me and smiled.
"She's adorable." Debby said in agreement.
"So fluffy!" Abby added.
"So fluffy, so cute." I said warmly, feeling my heart melt at how adorable my little tigress was.
Debby opened the other pod. Inside was a human man, dirty blonde hair and green eyes.
"Ugh, my head…" They groaned.
"Hi there." I said to the guy. "And who are you?"
"Don." They said, rubbing their eyes. "Damn, feel like I've been sleeping forever."
"Not technically wrong." Debby said with a shrug.
"Yeah." I nodded. "So, what can you do Don?" I inquired, wondering what our new friend can do.
"I'm a cook by trade but I also know some basic alchemy." Don said, pulling themselves up and out of the pod. "So, you freed me?" He asked Debby.
"Yeah." Debby said with a nod.
"Heh. Then I guess that means I serve you." Don said with a smile.
"Debby is a good friend." I said readily. "And alright, having a cook can help a lot."
"Cool. I'll head off to the kitchen then." Don said with a nod.
He headed off to the house and I held onto Jill.
"So, still want me to make a barn and some houses?" Luna asked.
"Yes please." I nodded. "Cause we are gonna need it."
"Okay." She said, heading to an area that was cleared more and had her portable builder making a barn.
"Well, guess we're really doing this." Debby said.
"Yeah…" I said. "Support a town…and then we're just making a town…"
"Yeah." Debby nodded.
"Well, at least we're getting work done everyday, so that's at least something." I said honestly.
"True. So, wanna put Jill into the nursery and take a break before jumping back into the dungeon again?"
"Yeah, that would be great to take a moment and relax." I nodded.
Debby and I took a week off to rest up more before rushing right back into the dungeon. Useful stuff respawned in boons this time as well as more Big Daddies and Little Sisters.
I won't lie, it's gonna suck when we have to leave here since it's so useful, but sticking the turtle around here too long will be risky.
Debby and I were clearing out the market again when-
"Agh crap…" Someone said with a groan. We peaked around the corner and spotted a man walking out of a room we remembered having a bed. "Note to self, don't do that again just to prove a point…" He huffed. He wore a leather duster with empty pistol holders on his side, back and torso. "That was what… four hundred grand in lost products… ugh, why did I even have that much… right." They sighed, talking to themselves mostly it seemed.
"Uh…hello?" I inquired to the new person.
He looked over at us. "Oh, good, people. What zone is this?" He asked.
"Water World." I said honestly. "So who are you mystery stranger, and what point involved possibly putting a bullet in something?" I inquired, noting the missing pistol and what he brought up with 'don't do that to prove a point'.
"Eh, more my own fault. Got into an argument with some off worlder and, eh, not that important." He waved off. "So, we're underwater then?" He asked.
"Yup." Debby nodded.
"Crap…" They huffed. "Just my luck… oh, well, names Cliff."
"David, and this is Debby." I nodded. "So, need some help getting to the surface? We gotta sub we got from this place parked nearby if you need a ride."
"Even if I did, I'd rather not sail over the endless sea…" Cliff said, kicking a stall over. "I could respawn but I'd rather not end up in some other shit show."
"We have a town on the turtle just above us." I brought up. "It's not much at the moment but it's better than 'sail over an endless sea'."
"Tempting but I dunno. I'm a traveling trader, doubt I'd be useful."
"The fact you said 'traveling' in a place like this means you'd be extremely helpful to us." I said readily. "Cause currently, we've been kidnapped and put here by 'Immigration' and besides this small little square of ocean we've been looking through, we have absolutely no idea where the hell we are or what's even around us."
"Heh, my luck I'd run into another one." Cliff said, chuckling to themselves. "Well, I guess? Not like I got much options. So, got any guns I can use? Revolvers preferably?"
I nodded, going through my Assistant and pulling out a Smith and Wesson .38 Magnum and handed it to him. "So, you met another one like us? Who were they?"
"Eh, some self proclaimed hero saying they wanted to save Armageddon. I didn't buy it. Bigger idiots have tried and all failed. If they didn't get killed repeatedly by the monsters or the chaos guilds it was that they gave up. Or at worse got captured and turned into a Slave or Breeder depending." Cliff said with a shrug as they loaded the revolver and stuck it into a holster.
"Huh…last time I heard something along those lines, an entire town of Prize Pod people was being created." I said honestly. "And then I injected like…a million other residents to it…"
"And correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that the same town that was recently 'immigrated'?" Cliff asked. "Hope you're quicker on the catch but bad things happen all the time on Armageddon. That guy and you might be a bit of a unique case, but you should expect to run into potholes and death traps while you're here."
"Eh." I shrugged. "I already expect this all to be a nightmare, but at least I'm not alone. And hey, your proof that this place is…at least bearable to some degree, were you also forced here or born here?"
"Born, a not so nice zone called Wasteland. It's kinda like those western movies where everywhere for miles is desert and rocks but all the towns are either underground or abandoned because of giant snakes or scorpions or the killer tumbleweeds or, something else killed everyone." He shrugged. "Usually it's heat stroke. That's how I got my first respawn."
"That's fair." I nodded. "So, went from Pure Heat, to wherever else you went to, to pure water." I said honestly.
"Heh. It is kinda funny, guess the planet or whatever controls respawning here has a sense of humor after all."
"Yeah." I nodded. "So, how long have you been a merchant?"
"About… four… thousandish years?" Cliff said. "Somewhere along that long. Started cause I scored big one day and traveled to a settlement that needed what I had and well, just kept moving, buying, reselling."
"That's fair." I nodded. "Gotta do something to keep busy in this hellhole."
"Keeps me alive more than not." Cliff shrugged. "So, you looking for something useful in this place?"
"Anything we can find really." I said honestly. "Food, medicine, anything we can get our hands on to help make our lives a bit better."
"Then why are you looting the small stuff at stores?"
"Where would you loot then?" Debby asked.
"The shipping warehouses."
"We've actually been trying to look for those, but not entirely having much luck, plus we were worried that there was going to be some stupidly strong thing's there." I brought up, as I believed I was strong enough to take on pretty much anything here, wanted to stay on the safe side.
"Oh definitely." Cliff said. "But the pay off is always worth it. Once got so much ammo gunning my way through this Military looking place. Nearly made me respawn but worth it. I haven't had to buy ammo in centuries."
That's… a lot of ammo.
"Well…I mean, we did find a secret room with an asston of ammo and weapons…but yeah, that sounds like we should head there."
"Yeah but we haven't had any luck finding the place." Debby added.
"You look for the shipping manifestos?" Cliff asked.
That's a thing in these dungeons?!
"I…didn't know that was a thing." I said nervously.
"Why is that a thing?" Debby asked.
Cliff chuckled, walking into the store and opening up filing cabinets. "Word of advice, when there's still enough of the infrastructure in a zone standing, the paper scraps and such you find laying about all have a story to tell." He said, pulling out a file and opening it. "Anyone can go through a dungeon, kill the monsters and loot the place. But a real scavenger, explorer, pays attention to even the easily dismissed stuff. Dungeon Lore Hunters are better at this than me but I know more than enough to find the hidden goods." He said, pulling out a paper. "Warehouse 55, located in East Kelp Tower."
"Alright, so instead of thinking of this like a dungeon crawling Harvest Moon, think of this like an actual fucking JRPG…like this entire reality basically is…" I frowned, forgetting that I'm literally in a land where anything's possible and that I literally have 'RPG Menu, the Machine' permanently attached to my arm so I should be looking through literally fucking everything.
"I'm disappointed in myself for not realizing this sooner…" Debby said.
"It all depends on the dungeon. So, let's go to East Kelp Tower." Cliff said.
It was a quick bathysphere ride to the place, the place was heavily crawling with Splicers, more Big Daddies than little sisters, Big Sisters, which was a first so far, and even those giant brute Splicers.
The three of us dealt with them in just under three hours.
When that mess was done, we opened the doors to Warehouse 55… and it was still very much stocked.
"Ladies, I present to you, a large haul." Clint said with a laugh, the first crate he opened was packed with antibiotics. One crate, on a pallet full of them.
I was slack jawed at that. "This…this is going to help us…for so long."
"Did you get hauls like this a lot before?" Debby asked as we started loading stuff into our Assistants.
"Eh, more or less. Typically the more monsters on the way/in front of an area, the bigger the reward. I think the saying goes 'Armageddon Rewards Those Who Survive' or something like that."
"Well…I can see why." I said carefully. "But…this is still really something…"
"Yeah. Only down side is that loot like this respawns after a year given the amount, rather than a year like other places."
"Makes sense. Can't abuse the system if it only appears once a year." Abby said.
"True but remember, this was Warehouse 55, meaning there is at least 54 more somewhere in this city. Possibly more."
"So basically do what normal RPG's want you to do, and explore and literally turn the place upside down cause something is there and you have to find it."
"More or less." Cliff said with a shrug. "Would be epic to just take the whole damn dungeon though. Knew a guy who did that once. Set his settlement up for years."
"Wait…you can do that?" I asked in surprise. "I know you can take building's or sections after they're cleared out but…the whole dungeon?"
"Oh yeah. This guy goes around to settlements and just gives them shit, like mountains of supplies. One settlement he went to was scraping by by looting this massive underground bunker dungeon but they couldn't get past like… the tenth floor and he just walked up to the dungeon doors, put his hand on it and bam! In a blink the doors are gone, the dungeon bunker is gone, just a hole and he gives them all the loot, all the enemy drops and all the raw materials the dungeon itself was made of. Was the most insane thing I ever saw."
"Did the dungeon reappear or was it just like…perma gone?" I asked, now thinking that, with how strong I've become and my legendary ability…maybe I could actually do this.
"Oh I heard it respawned after new years. Still, it was absolutely insane."
"Who was this person?" Debby asked.
"Don't know their name but people call them the Saint of Armageddon. There's a handful of powerful do gooders but despite their strength, Nexus and the Chaos Guilds have the numbers and fire power to even out the battle."
"That is true…" I said, still thinking about the million's of skill points I have, all the million's of skills I got from All Might, and my legendary ability…so much power that I have yet to fully utilize or even spec into. "Huh…maybe I can do that someday…" I muttered, not sure when but I was pretty sure I could. "Ya know what…" I muttered, kneeling down and putting a hand down and looked at my Assistant to see how much I would need to actually 'collect' this entire place.
[ERROR!
Structure size too large! Enemies detected! Godhood Required!]
Godhood? This Saint of Armageddon is an actual god?!
"Alright, so I just learned that either this Saint is stupidly strong, or he's a literal God…" I said carefully. "Whichever makes more sense for this cause damn."
"Probably God." Cliff said with a shrug. "Takes a crap ton of power to become one so, makes the most sense someone like that became a God."
"So…just gotta figure out how to become a God…should be simple enough considering where we are." I said, having a feeling it I just dump a lot of skill points into the proper tree's something might crop up.
"Eh." Cliff shrugged. "So, we gonna see how many of these warehouses we can loot before leaving?"
"I'd say yes. David?" Debby asked.
"Of course." I said readily. "But first, let's loot this entire place before we head out cause there is…a lot to grab in here."
Two days and nine warehouses later, the three of us made our way back topside.
I let the turtle know we can head off and he began sailing again.
Cliff made himself a house out of all the stuff we got and is helping make the layouts for our village. He's seen many in his travels so he knows a thing or two.
I took this break to sort through my skill trees.
"So, gonna blow all those skill points on stuff?" Abby asked. I'm actually surprised she's still in me like this.
"One, surprised you're still in me-"
"Kinky."
"And two, yes, cause I have been neglecting this thing for a long ass time." I mentally told her, scrolling through the…countless skill tree's, as I just looked through everything that I got from All Might and all the thing's I can get because of it.
"True."
[Skill Tree: Quirk Abilities.
One for All, rank 50: A quirk ability capable of being passed along, as well as obtaining copies of other Quirk, Mutant and other such abilities. Each pass strengthens the quirk and allows the new user all the abilities of the prior users.
At rank 50, this quirk manifests instantly once injected and fortifies the users body by 15% their base durability.]
"Okay cool." I said honestly. "So that's why I felt a lot tougher just by getting One for All…"
"Rank 50. That's pretty impressive. And given how it works that means you're the fifty first person to have this quirk."
"Yeah, that is true." I mentally hummed, starting to look over what my Quirk Skill Tree can do.
[Quirk - Explosion, Rank 2: The palms of your hands sweat is chemically identical to nitroglycerin. Nerve endings in your hands when active can send out small electric jolts through your skin, activating a powerful explosion.]
Huh. Always wondered how they ignite the blasts.
"Neat…" I hummed. "Oh boy…this is going to take a while…"
"You're the one who wanted to go through them." Abby reminded me.
"I know I know, but I still have to do it cause there's too much shit I'm missing out on, cause if skill's alone could make me even a small amount stronger than it would be worth it."
"Just remember most skills can also be upgraded via skill points. Some take repeated use and others take something custom like One for All there."
"Yep." I nodded, and I looked to see how many Skill points All Might gave me, cause I remember it was in the millions…
I had… more than enough…
Feels like cheating just being handed this many… but screw it, we're on a hell hole planet, every advantage will be taken!
I put multiple Skill Points into Explosion until it was rank 25, coating a total one hundred and ten skill points.
[Explosion, Rank 25: The sweat on your palms is a mixture of Nitroglycerin, liquid Hydrogen and sulfur, creating a highly explosive substance that is ten times that of dynamite.]
Hot damn!
"Ho boy, that's going to be fun to use." I said with a growing smile.
Up next.
[Harden, Rank 2: The users Skin becomes dense and akin to stone in texture, when in reality the skin cells increase in mass and density, forming a stronger stone like defensive shield.]
Yeah that tracks.
"No wonder why Kaminari was about as dense as a brick…" I shook my head with a chuckle.
I put more skill points into it until it reached rank 30.
Oddly only cost me 90 skill points.
[Harden, Rank 30: Skin, muscle and bone cells all now increase in density and mass, turning the users body into a living golem with a density akin to diamond. Weight reduces speed and agility.]
Speed Force can help me turn this into an unstoppable force. Awesome!
"I am now as physically strong as Emma Frost…just a lot less flexible apparently…" I chuckled.
[Erase, Rank 1: Nullifies all Emitter based quirk abilities while in eyesight of user. Creates severe dry eye while in use.]
Wow. I didn't even know I had this.
"Alright, so…I probably have a majority of the quirks from MHA now that I think about it…or at least, from the school." I hummed.
Actually… Erase can be hella useful if I can… I wonder.
I put in a crap ton of Skill Points into Erase, and after a thousand skill points it was Maxed.
[Erase, Rank Max: Erase all Quirk, Mutant, Power and Mana abilities from targets within eyesight while in use. User has three full minutes of uninterrupted use before severe dry eye will force them to blink.]
Holy crap… that's actually really broken.
"Okay that's really fucking cool." I said with a giant smile. "No wonder why it cost a crap ton."
Three full minutes of use, that could basically win me a battle instantly. Wonder how bad the dry eye is though. It says it forces you to blink…
"Wanna test it?"
"Sure." I nodded. "Just hopefully this doesn't fuck up my eyes too bad…"
And and… go!
Okay… going… going…
One minute.
Two minutes…
ThreEEEEEE! Fuck my eyes!
I rubbed my eyes crying at that pain, like having sand, hot sauce and a hot needle thrown into them!
"Oh god it's like watching your parent's fuck in a backwoods orgy!" I whined in absolute pain.
"That is a little too specific…" Abby said.
"I never saw such a horrid thing the fuck?" I groaned in pain,.
It took a whole ten minutes before my eyes were calmed down enough for me to open them. Agh, okay, yeah definitely save that for emergencies cause… shit!
Agh… okay, what's next?
[Pop Off, Rank 1: users hair becomes orbs resembling texture and feel to a rubber ball. These will stick to everything but the user and are grown off the head hair. Excessive pulling will lead to cranial bleeding.]
"I'm not surprised it's only rank 1…" I muttered.
Hm… maybe some upgrades will make it more useful?
I put ten skill points into it, raising it to rank five.
[Pop Off, Rank 5: The orbs can expand before the user throws them or sticks them to a person or surface. Cranial Bleeding risk decreased]
Okay that is a bit better.
"Yeah, that'll help." I nodded with a smile.
"Wonder if it gets any better?" Abby questioned.
"True…hmm…" I hummed. "Well, I learned that I can combine it with Steel to make it a reflective surface…"
I decided to add more Skill Points to it. Maybe-
[Pop Off, Rank Max: Cranial Bleeding is no longer an issue. Orbs can be molded and take any shape the wilder wishes. Orbs can be altered before popping off to create makeshift explosives that spray all surrounding targets with a highly resilient substance that only can be melted with precision heating methods.]
… So it maxes at ten… and it's way more useful maxed out…
"Alright, good thing I maxed that out." I nodded.
"Kinda surprising that an otherwise lame Ability can become so op." Abby said.
"Give anything enough time and energy, it can do a lot of great things." I said honestly.
[Engine, Rank 3: Users leg muscles are replaces with an organic engine that utilized the bodies natural lymph nodes and glucose as fuel, allowing the user speeds typically seen only by motorized transportation. Top speed; 90MPH]
Okay, not bad. Speed Force is WAY faster but there is definitely improvement potential here.
"Alright, so put some skill points into this and maybe I can get some really strong engines…"
I kept putting skill points in until I reached rank 40, and spent three hundred skill points.
[Engine, Rank 40: The fuel required to run the leg muscle engines is 70% less than normal but will still achieve far faster speeds at a quicker rate of acceleration. Top Speed 565MPH]
Now that is more like it.
"Now that's some high horsepower right there." I chuckled.
So far this is going well. Definitely better than Inwas hoping. By the time we reach the next dungeon, I'll be mopping the floor with all the enemies there.
