"So, Luna tells me you were an adventurer of sorts before arriving upon this Armageddon planet?" Mark asked as he, Luna and I all sat around the dinner table. Orbit, Peter and Jet all went back to their homes. They still have work and such to do.
"Yeah, adventures, becoming one of the guards for a town, just having fun and enjoying life." I shrugged. "Then we all got kidnapped and thrown here cause reasons…"
"Sounds like once you finish our not so little dungeon home it will be an interesting development." Mark said.
"Yeah, it'll be an interesting development…especially with how Luna will act around everyone else given she's two thousand years older…"
"Mostly I plan on rubbing it in Tim's face." Luna smirked.
"Heh, she's told me a lot about her siblings and… various parents." Mark chuckled.
"And what sort of things were said?" I inquired.
"Her various mothers, fathers, siblings, all good things. Save Tim."
I looked over at Luna, who whistled innocently as she ate her steamed veggies.
"And what did she say about Tim?" I asked.
"I believe her exact words were 'lonely edgy angsty stuck up son of a bitch'." Mark said.
Luna just kept whistling.
"Or he's just depressed because he believes he's going to be alone forever and Luna constantly hounding him with her gun fetish never helped." I stated. "Depression sucks, it hurts, and people act out in ways to either cope with it or to express they really need help…and again, Moonie, you never really helped him or even bothered to notice, especially when you were practically gyra-"
"No I don't!" Luna cut me off quickly as her face was beat red.
"Now was it before or after you learned there are literally sapient people made out of Gun's?" I scratched my chin as Luna hit me in the arm as I laughed.
"We were all trapped on a giant turtle's back with no one but our own family dad! Our options are either incest or forced celebicy, are you really surprised we all grew up a bit off!?" Luna shouted.
"I'm more surprised you made fun of Tim because of it." I countered. "So when this is all over and we somehow figure out how to turn this dungeon into part of my growing town, you help find Tim someone to date since you love your brother so much."
"Can't I get Peter to do it? He could get Tim laid in less than two hours." Luna groaned.
"It's not him getting laid that's the problem, it's him getting a date." I frowned. "And what were you going to do when you showed Tim your family? Gloat?"
"Nah. I'll just show him the whatever pathway leads between here and out there and let him know there's twenty million people he now has options with. Cause I just know he said those were my odds of finding one."
"Are you sure it was just going to be that?" I asked.
"Well, if he wants to talk shit then I'll give it back." Luna shrugged.
I sighed. "Well, at least you want to help get Tim a date here."
"He's still my brother. We might fight and bicker but we are still family." Luna chuckled. "So, I take it tomorrow you're gonna wanna tour Snowdin?"
"Yes." I nodded. "Then going to have to fight the bosses of the area so that'll be a thing."
"Don't forget to take on the Optional Bosses." Mark added. "They'll be tough but you get some rewards Davy made for you."
Davy made me… rewards?
"And that'll be fun to fight all those super bosses…" I muttered. "Better be worth the trouble."
"I'm sure it will be. Davy has been pretty busy all things considered but I think I know what it is he made you." Luna said. "Way back he asked me if you wore any armor, and when I said no, he just smirked."
"Well…technically I have armor, I just don't use it often." I said honestly. "Specially designed suit made by my teacher All Might…for the most part I haven't really had to use it."
"Well, looks like you'll have more than just that." Luna said.
Hmm… wonder what that will be like? Also… why haven't I been wearing my armor/hero costume? I mean… hmm…
The next morning, I left with Luna and we began the tour of Snowdin proper. The whole town was much larger than the game suggested.
There were people, monsters, and Nokori. Houses, a school, the library, Sans fishing over a cliffside- wait what?
I almost fell in the snow when I stopped, seeing the Iconic smiling skeleton, same blue jacket, same shorts, I think he's even wearing the same slippers!
"Even if the world changes, gotta stick with the classic look huh?" I asked, knowing Sans fully knows I know about him.
"Are you talking to Sans? He's a bit far away to hear us?" Luna said.
"Eh, just talking to myself at this point." I shrugged. "Surprised to see him fishing."
"Well, he's not actually fishing. There's no line on that pole. He just sits there when he wants to think." Luna said. "Fishing Pole is to just make others think he's doing something."
"Fair enough…" I said. "I have a feeling I know what he's thinking about though…" I muttered. "Should I talk to him or leave him?"
"You can go talk to him if you want. I'll wait over here."
I nodded and started to walk over to Sans, hoping for a semi decent conversation. "Hey." I said to the skeleton.
"Oh, hey, you're David Two right?" Sans asked as he looked over and saw me. The two white orbs of eyes in his sockets landing on me. "Glad to meet ya. I'm Sans but you already know that."
"Yeah, I'm David." I nodded. "And it's nice to meet you to, how have you been since all of…this?" I motioned to all the new things.
"Well considering I grew up with all this it's rather normal for me. It's only off for you since you were expecting us all to be, ya know, trapped in the underground with an unknown future while I was gonna be full of depression and PTSD from visions of seeing all my friends and family murdered over and over and over again in a never ending loop I could not end."
… Well, at least he's still snappy…
"Well…I'd try to make some cold pun about all that, but it's all coming bone dry." I said, making an attempt at a shitty pun at this situation.
"...Heh. Not bad, maybe next time you'll tibia-something better." He said.
"I'd say to reel in that pun, but it looks like you forgot the punchline." I said, throwing out a double fishing pun.
"Eh, I give that one a six out of ten. So, David Two, over your little depressive episode already?"
"Not entirely." I admitted. "I still lost two thousand years of time with my friends and family, and that's something that will haunt me for a bit…but from what Luna said everyone missed me so it's at least a bit lessened…"
"Well duh, you think that little of your own friends and family?"
"More so myself." I admitted. "They all had a lot of time without me…either they would forget I exist or just be busy with their own lives that I'd be more like a passerby at this point."
"Yeesh. And people say I have self worth issues."
"Eh," I shrugged. "Just glad to know my family is here and happy that I'm around. But what are you thinking about? Luna brought up that you fake fish to think about some things."
"Eh, sometimes I just want to think about stuff. When I turned eighteen I got… all the memories. Dad said it was most likely a leftover part of the dungeon's original programming… Wasn't fun to… see all that. It all just hitting me at once like that."
"Yeah, I can imagine it was traumatic seeing…all that all at once." I admitted.
"Can you?" Sans asked, looking at me. I noticed… both his eyes were now blue. "Can you?"
I stared him dead in the eyes. "Yes." I told him. "Ever since I got to this god forsaken planet…every day for years on end, I personally imagined my fears becoming real…and ever since meeting Davy and the other's just showed that my fears not only could happen if their arch nemesis cared enough to try…but how easier it would be for those fears to come true…"
"And your response to it has been?"
"I keep going, moving along with everything and trying to get stronger to make all those things not happen, and be thankful everyday my dark fantasies never come true."
"... Heh. Sounds about right. Well, I like your answer, so how's about this? I can tell you the item the Snowdin Secret Boss has for you, should you beat them."
"And what would that item be?" I inquired.
"A lovely pair of black pearl earrings." Sans said, giving a smirk.
"And who is the secret boss here?" I asked.
"My old man."
"Oh that's…that's not going to be fun…" I said carefully.
"Yeah, but those earrings are gonna be worth it."
"If you say so." I said carefully, not knowing if it would be worth dealing with someone with Void powers.
"Does a three hundred percent boost per earring sound worth it?"
… Three hundred per- Wearing both would boost my defense stats by six hundred percent!
"Holy hell…" I muttered. "Okay…maybe it is worth it…"
"Yeah. Uncle David asked Tony about your equipment and Tony mentioned you have an armor set that you don't use often, so he decided to make some small accessories that won't mess with your armor regardless of how light or heavy it might be. There's the Earrings, two rings, those are held by the next optional boss, the Necklace over in Hotland, and the bracelet in New Home. The rings boost your magic and health stats by four hundred percent each. The necklace increases your base resistances across the board by three hundred percent, and lastly the bracelet increases your attack damage by five hundred percent."
I blinked… Davy made… all that… for me?
"Wow…" I blinked. "That's…really cool."
"Yeah. He really cares about you. Cares about everyone. Even made me these." Sans said, showing me his gloves. "One Glove buffs my Defense up to three hundred. The other, my HP now sits at a roomy two hundred and one."
"That's good." I nodded. "Glad to know he learned a lot of crafting while I wasn't here."
"Enchanting actually." Sans said. "I was told he got the idea when looking at how Monster made armor and accessories can add lots of stat boosts. He then took a long look and study to that Embument power of his and eventually found out how to put extra magic into the items without his little fire addition and well, this is the result."
"That's good." I nodded. "Worried for a bit he wouldn't want to learn anything fancy with his powers."
"Heh, you kidding, he's leading the planet, or rather, pocket dimension in magic research. Using the way magic works for monsters, the way magic worked where he came from and mixing them together."
"Fair enough." I nodded. "Well…going to have to head off soon to continue my fighting adventure."
"Yeah. Wanna stop by my place first? Think bro, dad and ma are there."
Ma? Right, right Luna said Squeaks was basically their step mom.
"Well…sure, would be nice seeing Squeaks again." I admitted.
"Alrighty then, well get on up." He said, standing up. "You wanna invite Luna or?"
"She's already leading me around here." I said, motioning to Luna who was waiting off to the side.
"I know, that's why I offered."
"I understand." I nodded, getting up and ready to continue my adventure in this place. "Hey Luna, want to hang out at Sans place for a bit?" I called out to Luna.
"Alright. I figured it was gonna happen sooner or later." She said.
So, Luna, Sans and I all walked down the snow covered road for a while, arriving at the iconic skeleton brothers house. Sans opened the door, petting Luna and I in. Immediately I smelled pasta, but not the usual spaghetti I kinda hoped was cooking.
The first thing I saw was that the layout was very similar to the game, I noticed an extra bedroom upstairs, and the house looked more or less the same save more framed photos on the wall.
"Ma, dad, I'm home and I brought guests!" Sans called out.
From the kitchen walked out…
I blinked a few times. Squeaks looked the same, save the pink dress and bow she wore.
"David two!" She said with a smile. "About time you got here. What kept you?" She asked as she gave me a hug.
Despite the friendly gesture, her Void energy and Alpha creature status did send a quick chill of terror down my spine.
Really hope that stops one day cause she looks adorable right now.
I gave her a quick hug. "The dungeon didn't want me to appear at the same time as you all…so I've missed a lot…"
"Yeah. I take it you're surprised about me being…" She motioned to the house and then to Sans.
"A bit yes, and also the look cause…you just look adorable right now." I admitted.
"Heh, thanks. I usually like wearing pink but back on earth before coming to this reality clothes were… not common anymore, and when we woke up on Armageddon we just wore whatever so, it's nice to have my look back. I know I usually terrify people with my presence alone, so I try to dress cute to counter that effect. Pink surprisingly complements my fur."
"It does." I admitted. "But…it's been an adjustment for me seeing all this and knowing how much I missed."
"I can imagine. When David and the rest of us would isolate ourselves back home when things got… hard, we'd come back to so much being different. Heck one time when we got back into society while countered were no longer around, now with new names and even new borders. It's an adjustment, but give it time and you'll catch up with everything. Trust me, I know." She said, giving me a smile.
"Alright." I nodded, glad to see her smiling. "Just…will be annoyed and sad for a while about missing so long with everyone…"
"I know. Wanna know what helps me?" She asked, reaching behind her and pulling out a large basket of fruits. Most of which I have no idea what they are… or if they're even fruit. "Fruit basket." Ah so they are.
I took the basket. The various fruits inside were nothing like I knew of.
"And…what are like…half of these?" I asked. "Never seen any of these 'fruits' before…"
"That's because they're Void Fruit. Gastor and I managed to make them grow and don't worry, they are safe to eat. You might actually enjoy the buffs and bonuses they give when eaten." She smirked. "Now I gotta check on the lasagna." She said, heading back into the kitchen.
I took a seat on the couch next to Sans and Luna, who were also sitting on the couch.
"So…are these edible or will I feel like I just ate a cactus because of the Void stuff?" I asked, knowing Squeaks just said their safe to eat but from personal experience with Void I have my doubts. "I've just had some…personal experience with Void and it wasn't pleasant." I said, demonstrating my Void Gem…before hissing and reverting my hand back and wagging it. "Still hurts…"
"They are fine dad. Even I've had them. The effects can be very beneficial or fun depending on which fruit you try." Luna said.
I nodded, picking up a small fruit that looked like a grape, or maybe a cherry? It's skin looked almost like a bunch of tiny scales, but it was squishy.
I put it in my mouth, biting down. The juice reminded me of cranberries but extra tangy.
[Void Fruit Consumed!
Eferongal Berry Effects: Defense boosted by 10% per berry consumed.
Lasts 5 minutes per berry.]
Huh… actually that's a pretty good buff. Didn't taste bad either.
"That's a pretty good buff and berry." I admitted.
"Told you. They taste pretty good too." Luna said with a smirk.
I smiled, finding what looked like an Apple, but it was almost bone white.
I took a sniff first. Smelled like… an apple but also like a cucumber?
Shrugging, I bit into it. It was crunchy, tasting like an apple but with a hint of lemon that made it even better. I found it didn't have a Core, so I ate the whole thing.
[Void Fruit Consumed!
Apple of Paradise Effects: HP permanently boosted by 100 points. MP permanently boosted by 100 Points.]
Holy crap that is incredibly useful!
"Well…that's something." I blinked in surprise. "A hundred to both HP and MP permanently…neat."
"Apple of Paradise. Taste good, but they take forever to grow." Luna chuckled.
"I can imagine if they give you a permanent hundred every apple." I admitted.
I moved onto the next fruit. This one looked like a very ripe banana. The skin was all black but it still felt firm. Peeling it, the flesh of the fruit was some lime green jello like substance.
I gave it a smell too… kiwi.
I took a bite. Yeah, tastes like a kiwi.
I finished that one off, putting the peel down.
[Void Fruit Consumed!
Agrogathal Effects: Senses boosted by 30% for ten minutes.]
Instantly I felt the effect. My hearing, smell, sight, hell even touch all felt… sharper. Clearer. More focused.
It was almost overwhelming. And this is just thirty percent? Woah.
"Well…that's quite a new feeling with only thirty percent sharper senses…" I said honestly.
"Have you ever had your senses enhanced before?" Sans asked.
"Not like this." I admitted.
"Hope you like Lasagna." Squeaks said, walking in with three plates of the cheesy pasta. She gave one to Luna, and I.
"Haven't had Lasagna in a long time." I admitted.
"I know. A diet largely of seafood in the back of the turtle had to have gotten tiring after a while." She chuckled.
I nodded, taking the fork and biting into the cheesy, meaty pasta and… oh sweet god it's been so long since I've had beef and cheese, or even pasta in general!
"Remember to breathe dad…" Luna said.
I blinked, finding my plate now empty. Heh…
"But…but it was so good…" I tried to defend myself with a sheepish smile.
"I take it you want seconds?" Squeaks asked me with a chuckle.
"Y-yeah please." I said sheepishly, a bit embarrassed by me just scarfing down the Lasagna without a second thought.
Squeaks took my plate, heading back to the kitchen.
"There's a lot of farmland." Luna said. "Fruits, veggies, animals, all grown and raised effectively and without harm to the environment. Once this dungeon is done with, food on the turtle will be much more selective and a non-issue."
"Yeah, and with Township at the ready everything will go even smoother." I admitted.
"That's the idea." I totally… screamed as suddenly, behind me and the couch spoke a new voice. A calm, deep voice. Turning I saw a Skeleton in a long sleeve dark gray turtle neck, a small pair of glasses and cracks in their skull. One going up and over the skull from the right eye, the other going down and under the cheek bone. Gastor. "Sorry for the startle. Shortcuts are easier than walking home and faster."
"Well…hi there…" I said carefully. "Nice to meet you Doctor." I said, thinking he worked really hard for his doctorate so I should at least be nice about that.
"Gastor is fine." He shrugged. "So, you're David Two, or do you prefer just David?"
"David is preferred, it's why I call Bird David Davy to make it easier." I admitted. "So how have you been?"
"Busy. Though I can't complain, the five of you entering the dungeon and breaking it like this prevented my removal from existence from the incident at the Core. So, good. Plus, otherwise I'd not have met Squeaks if just you entered it." He chuckled.
"You're just saying that because I knew how to properly change diapers." Squeaks chuckled as she walked back over to me, handing me a second plate of the lasagna before giving Gastor a hug.
"Fair enough." I nodded. "Diaper changing can be a nightmare sometimes…but now all we're missing is Papyrus."
"Pap has a cold." Sans said. "Shame to, he wanted to meet you. He's probably asleep in his room right now."
"...how?" I asked. "I know your magic and the like but…your still skeletons, you don't have organs."
"I have an organ, it's in my study." Gaster said without missing a beat.
"Not that kind." I chuckled.
"But yes I suppose if you look at it from only a human biology standpoint it doesn't make sense but you need to understand that Monsters, even those of us that do have flesh and organs, we are made up of over 99% magic. As a result human sicknesses do not effect us, but a sickness that originates in magic, now those we are susceptible to." Gastor stated. "A human cold and a Monster cold are two vastly different sicknesses. For a human, it would be like having a magic debuff for some hours to some days, but as Monsters are made so much of magic it's equivalent to a flu or cold."
"Ick, that sucks." I said, sympathizing over having the flu cause that sucks.
"Yes, nobody likes to be sick. Papyrus especially. He hates just sitting around not doing anything. Makes him feel lazy."
"Takes a bit after you in that regards." Squeaks chuckled.
"Heh. Moreso his birth mother than I but I can see bits of my workaholic tendencies in him too." Gastor sighed.
Right. Is it alright to ask? I know how they met but…
"Is it…alright to ask about…the birth mother?" I asked carefully, not wanting to come off as insensitive.
"I suppose that is the question that comes to mind." Gastor said, taking a pause before speaking. "Her name was Daliah. She and I were for better or worse, equal parts friends and enemies since childhood. We did love each other, but our relationship only became what it was because of a bet. You see, Papyrus shares her absolute hatred of puns. So, one day she said if I could make her laugh with a pun or a gag of any kind then she'd marry me the next day. I didn't think much of that but I accepted the challenge."
"Well…that's one way to do it I will admit." I said honestly. "So what was the joke that won the bet?"
Smirking, Gastor took out some sunglasses, putting them on and looking at me. The glasses had googly eyes glued on them.
I chuckled.
"Okay, yeah, can't ever beat the classic googly glasses." I admitted.
"Yes. I was amazed she actually laughed." Gastor said, closing and putting the glasses away. "And shocked beyond all reason when she woke me up the next morning in a wedding dress saying a deal was a deal."
"A woman of her word, gotta respect that." I nodded.
"Heh. You have no idea. I was forced into a suit, married and back home with my frenemy turn wife all before breakfast. It took a while, some awkward dates but we were already well acquainted, the fun we had and memories we shared in this new dynamic we found ourselves in, it somehow became love. Three years later, Sans was born. Two years after that, Papyrus… and four months later, she Fell Down…"
I winced, having a pretty good idea that 'Fell Down' meant death. "Was…there any signs about it happening?"
"It was a tragedy. There was an earthquake, rare but not uncommon where we lived at the time. With everything shaking I ran to grab Sans and Papyrus… When I stopped I looked for Daliah… all I found were her clothes and Dust underneath this antique bookshelf. She loved how it looked and the thing was solid oak… heavy…" He sighed. "I didn't even hear it fall or hear her scream with all the shaking and the kids screaming…"
"I…I understand." I nodded. "I'm sorry for your loss."
"It was… a lot to deal with."
"I don't even remember her face or voice." Sans said with a sigh. "If not for the photos I wouldn't even know what she looks like."
Gastor nodded somberly. "It was hard, and the whole town was affected. I ended up moving here for new work and a fresh start after the funeral. Heh, little did I know I caught the scent of a nosey mouse." He chuckled, wrapping an arm around Squeaks.
"You should have seen Sans and Papyrus. Covered in food and stained baby clothes." Squeaks laughed. "He was hopeless."
"I can imagine." I chuckled. "But glad it all worked out in the end."l
"It did. At first I admit I welcome the distraction. Especially once Squeaks awoke my Void Affinity. It was… logic defying. It obeys no laws of physics or magic, simultaneously doing nothing and everything possible. Of course, she indulged in my experiments and research. Both out of curiosity as not even she understood the nature of this power, and how it's place in existence worked. Even after all these years we still know more or less nothing. But, eventually a distraction turned to friendship, and friendship turned to an unexpected love."
"Caught me by surprise too since I'd never experienced romantic emotions before let alone an interest like that with another so… it was different." Squeaks said.
"Eh, it happens." I shrugged. "And Void is…weird, in this reality, as I was told it's the antithesis to Nothingness," I raised a hand and created a small orb of the energy in question, the thorns circling around the white sphere.
"Yes I was informed of that as well. As Squeaks special Keyblade, Rise From Nothing, seems to allow her to generate some Nothingness and also grants her some resistance to it. Something I suspect is quite rare. Studying Nothingness has been proven to be… interesting." Gastor said.
"What have you learned so far?" I inquired.
"The vast majority of tests have all come back inconclusive, however one test proved rather interesting. As you may know, Monster souls are incapable of lasting after death. They are destroyed near instantly as our HP hits zero, save Boss Monsters but even their souls will almost self destruct under the stress. Nothingness seemed to have almost allowed what I think to be a form of extension of the Monster Souls presence in the physical plane before it disintegrated."
"Like a secondary body that keeps the soul safe from everything rushing into it all at once after the main body is gone?" I inquired.
"No. It was more like… trying to form an after image. Trying to force the soul to exist by sheer will."
"Kind of like how Determination worked in the game…" I thought to myself. "Well, that is an interesting thing."
"Yes. I feel my experiments would work better once our little pocket dimension reality joins the rest of the greater reality."
"So, will you be hanging around Snowdin for long?" Squeaks asked.
"Depends on somethings, but I have to get going through the place…only thing that could keep me here for longer is if Asriel wakes up and tries to go on that date." I chuckled.
"That could take a while, but you are stuck here for a while either way." Sans said. "Pap's is the Snowdin Boss."
Right… And he's sick right now.
"Yeah, so I'm going to be here till Papyrus gets better and we hang out for a bit." I nodded. "So I'm gonna be here for a while."
"At least two or three more days." Squeaks nodded. "Sound like a plan?" She asked me with a smirk?
"Sounds like a plan." I nodded. "And…why are you smirking?"
"Well, I'm sure Sans has told you about me being the optional boss." Gastor said, giving me a similar smirk. "Don't worry, I'll use magic only, no Void."
"Well…he did." I said carefully. "Oh, and who's the optional boss for the 'Ruins'?" I asked.
"There was none. It was the Tu-Toriel." Sans said.
"Speaking of Toriel, I still need it to be well known I'm going to suplex her for being rude to my fluffy thunder pupper." I huffed. "The more she knows, the more concerned she'll be about when it's going to happen."
"Yeesh. How are you more mad than Tony was?" Luna asked me.
"Probably because Tony is David Two's favorite kind of man, Big, Fluffy, lewd, big, and can last multiple rounds." Squeaks said.
"Oh yeah… plus Tony hasn't seen Dad in over a thousand years so I already know once they need they're getting twelve more in them." Luna said.
I was rather red.
"Twelve. That's a lot for a human." Gastor said.
"And that's all mental images that will haunt my nightmares for a few weeks…" Sans sighed.
"Listen, the more important thing about this situation is that Tony was assaulted for harmlessly flirting twice, I don't want Tony to be treated like some joke for people to attack." I explained in hopes of getting past the lewd thoughts.
"While true, it's Tony's problem that he has already resolved with Toriel, over a thousand years ago." Luna said. "You can't fight a battle long since ended dad. While he and Toriel might not get along, they keep it to snark, sass, and the occasional prank war."
"Should have seen the last one. Pumpkin pie everywhere!" Sans laughed.
"Well I'm still mad about it." I huffed. "Would have liked to see the prank wars but still…" I sighed.
"In the words of a great philosopher, 'they who are mad for another who themselves is not mad over the event, is themself filled with rage they project for others for it burns them up unless projected at or for another'." Gastor said.
Excuse me I did not expect to be called out!
"Cause magically I'm supposed to be okay with this…" I grumbled and rolled my eyes.
"I guess that's the downside of missing out on all the time, well, one of them." Squeaks sighed "We're not gonna ask you to be okay with this, but don't bring up drama from, for us, was a long time ago. That's all we're asking."
"Yet again…I just have to deal with the time difference…" I thought bitterly. "Still gonna suplex her…" I said.
"Then expect her to suplex you back cause she will return fire." Gastor sighed. "Sometimes a little more literal than she should…"
"Considering she's probably one of the later bosses I'm not surprised." I shrugged. "So, besides me fighting Mr Gaster and the Gaster Blasters, what else is there to do?"
"That sounds like a cool band name…" Luna admitted.
"Well, Nice Cream, there's a play happening by the river, and of course you can backtrack to the ruins to check out all that has to offer and maybe see if Asriel is awake for that date you wanted." Squeaks said.
"That's all true…probably should go back to see Asriel…"
"Not even a day and you already got a date. No wonder our family never stops growing…" Luna sighed.
"Not my fault I'm so lovable." I chuckled.
"More along the lines of… openly open in your relationships…" Squeaks said.
"And you make it sound like that's a bad thing as a whole."
"I guess not as long as everyone is a consenting adult. Still, over several thousand lovers is rather… excessive…"
"It is a lot of people… I don't even think I've met them all…" Luna said, looking like she was thinking.
"Part of that whole thing was Abby having a harem fetish." I admitted. "And another was to help the Prize Pod people…cause Prize Pod people are in a sad predicament…" I sighed. "Outside of Armageddon, there's this guild called the Matchmakers Guild…which are more or less storehouses for Prize Pods…tens of thousands of people, of all ages and races, stuck in suspended animation until someone correct finally picks them…" I shook my head.
"Hmm… that is a rather odd situation." Gastor said. "Is there an explanation behind the phenomenon?"
"Not that anyone knows." I shrugged. "The Pods appear as Loot, so it could either be this reality is weird and think's giving Prize Pods is cool, or there's some deeper meaning to it that nobodies figured out yet."
"So all in all, just weird." Squeaks shrugged. "So, you wanna battle Gastor before heading back to the ruins?"
"If you win, on top of the Earrings, I'll also teach you Skeleton magic, Blue Magic, and how to conjure your own Blasters should you win." Gastor offered.
… Must… not… geek… out!
"That sounds great, thank you." I said with a smile, trying my damndest to keep my cool here.
"Alright then. Here, this will be a faster way to the Arena." Gastor said, offering me a hand.
I took it, his finger bones feeling unusual on my skin.
Faster than I blink I found myself standing in a room that had no doors, windows or vents. Just Gastor, myself, and a Save Point.
I quickly SAVED.
"This is going to be annoying I can just imagine…" I muttered.
"Oh don't be like that. This is a learning experience after all." Gastor said as he took his glasses off, putting them into his sleeve pocket.
"All depends on if this is a survival battle or not…" I said carefully. "So, how are we doing this?"
"This is a battle of endurance and learning your strengths and weaknesses." He said, making me raise a brow. "Tell me, what do you Believe the purpose is of we Optional Bosses?"
"To be the biggest pain in my ass, as optional bosses have universally been created to test the person's skill, tactics and other such things when they're three times more difficult than the actual final boss." I stated.
"Heh. Partly correct. David tells me the world outside our little pocket reality is rather dangerous. That every day your fear is that all you love will be taken from you just because someone stronger than you can and decides to. So, the Optional Bosses are here to help you with fighting an enemy that is stronger than you. I believe the old saying goes 'Even an ant can slay an elephant'." Gastor said.
"While that's true…considering what I believe you can do is kill me repeatedly while I couldn't do a lick, even without Void." I admitted, but I donned my Hero suit that All Might got me, while it's sadly not really good armor like other things I've seen, it keeps me safe from fall damage which could count for his blue magic.
"Heh, I told you this is a learning experience." Gastor said. "The goal of which is to learn your enemy. For example, while most enemies can be predicted in their move patterns and body languages, but others are more unpredictable, or will realize you are reading their body language and combat styles and change them to throw you off. The goal of this exercise and battle is to learn to adapt in combat instinctively."
"Gonna be hard to do if I can guess your powers…" I said carefully.
"True, but in how I use my powers will depend on how fast you learn and how fast you pick up on the various pattern and then lack of patterns."
"And that's if you don't just lock me in place with blue magic and force me to be unable to move…" I thought to myself carefully. "Well, let's get this started then."
"You're thinking about my Blue Magic now aren't you?" He asked, making me flinch. "Do you want to know a secret about Blue Magic?"
"Well, I was also thinking you're capable of using the other colors of magic." I brought up. "But what is the secret?"
"Blue Magic is a type of Gravity Magic that primarily affects the soul, allowing one to grab hold of their opponent's soul and lift it, and therefore the target, to throw them around, keep them down, or whatever with the simple movements of the hand or finger flicks. However, if the target has a strong will or even just strength in general, they can fight back and even counter the Blue Magic's effects."
"Well…that's better than knowing I'm just going to get shat on in this fight, unable to do anything about it."
"I'll save it for the latter part of the battle. Now then, shall we begin?" Gastor asked, raising a hand as a row of bones emerged from the ground before him.
"Ready when you are." I said, drawing my Keyblade and preparing myself for the fight.
With a nod, Gastor moved his hand forward, the row of bones rushing at me. I reacted, jumping over it. As I landed another row was rushing at me, higher. I managed to leap over it and-
I was slammed into a row that was on the ceiling, knocking me back. Ouch… okay, no fall damage but took the hit from the bones…
"You okay?" Gastor asked.
"Yeah, I'm okay…also great to know I'm immune to getting hurt by you throwing me around everywhere…" I said, firing off a bolt of fire towards the skeleton.
A single bone rose up from the ground, blocking my fire ball. "David, do you know why I started with sending rows of bones at you?"
"It's the simplest to start with?" I asked.
"Correct. It is also the simplest to dodge." Gastor stated. "If you are worried about getting hit, then simply put, don't get hit. I know you have many powers, I've seen your fight with Chara and even then I saw you were holding back."
"It was a difficult fight, how was I holding back?" I asked, given that Chara was indeed a tough opponent, hearing him say that was…weird.
"Because David spoke rather highly of you. From the moment I used a Shortcut to return home, I could tell, you aren't fighting as effectively as you should be, as you can. After all, you've got many powers, and you are rather clever, or so David says. Prove him right." Gastor said, raising up more rows of bones.
They rushed at me, faster than I was expecting.
I jumped the first row, only to get my head slammed by the other, roof hanging row as it passed by.
"Why are you still holding back?"
"Because it's a little hard to constantly act clever and do neat things when you have such a laundry list of shit you're capable of doing." I said carefully, getting back up as I tried to figure out how the hell to deal with this guy.
"That's your excuse? You can do too much and can't choose? That's not an excuse, that's the whining of a child unable to pick a toy to play with because they're all too neat and shiny." Gastor said, two rows of bones, one above, one below leaving a space. I managed to jump through it, landing on the ground on the other side only to barely dodge a bone slamming down from above.
"It's also called strategy ya calcium enriched fuck!" I snapped. "Can't just throw whatever the hell I want cause they look neat, have to be smart in how I use them and in what way."
"Yes, and you need to be quick about it. These powers you possess must be second nature to you because if they're not by the time you leave our pocket reality locked inside a dungeon, you'll never be able to save anyone you love." Gastor said. "You are no coward, and you don't strike me as a fool, so prove to me you are a fighter."
"Easier said than done my guy" I thought to myself, as I tried to come up with something cause I have a lot of abilities in a rather cramped space where he can force me into whatever nonsense he wants…but I had a quick idea as I used Creation to create a speaker, thankfully creation passed right through my Hero Suit as I saw the next wave of Bone's rushing towards me, as I used Earphone Jack to shove into the speaker. "Heartbeat Roar!" I shouted, as I used Earphone Jack's ability to send out my heartbeat as a powerful shockwave as I used Voice to Scream as the bones that were launched towards me shattered from the pure power of sound.
The attack shattered the bones, the soundwaves reaching Gastor, who brought up two glowing bones that upon hitting them, made a noise almost like a tuning fork that seemed to counter that harmful soundwaves until they dissipated.
He smirked. "Not bad. Now you're fighting." He said, bones emerging around the wall behind him and they began shooting at me.
I dodged quickly, using Black Whip and grabbing onto several of the bones firing at me and used Homing as I slingshotted the bones at Gaster.
He side stepped and grabbed one, then like a sword used it to deflect the others I shot back at him. "Now you're getting it." He said, one eye glowing orange as next there was a wall of bones from ceiling to floor rushing at me. Shit, orange magic, that one was… I gotta move!
I used Speed Force as I fired off bolts of fire, each orange bone passing by me…without harming me. "Oh thank fuck that works." I thought, as the speed I was producing counted as movement as I used Engine to run.
I ran through the orange ones, dodging the normal ones and despite the Speed Force, Gastor was keeping the attacks up with my speed.
As I was dodging another wall of bone came at me… blue bones… Stop!
I paused just in time, turning Speed Force off just as the blue bones reached me, passing through me harmlessly.
"And there it is. There's the David Alchem I was told about." Gastor said, his other eye glowing blue.
"Not sure what Davy said about me for you to think that…" I admitted.
"Good things I assure you. He said when training you with swords you were an adept, if easily distracted student but he mostly said that it was Tony's fault for that."
… I mean… not wrong we were either flirting or joking around so…
"Listen, it's good to have fun with training instead of just doing the same thing over and over…plus it's not my fault Davy can't take a joke half the time."
"There's jokes… then there are constant sex jokes made in poor taste…" Gastor said with a frown.
"Not my fault Davy's the one that made it easy for those jokes to be made half the time." I countered. "Also poor taste my ass, you want poor taste in jokes? Try making shower jokes at a Holocaust museum, thats poor taste."
"... What's a Holocaust?"
… Oh! Oh right, Davy and them did mess with history here so… oh… oh wow… Okay I think I went too far here cause now I have to explain it to them… Oh wow now I feel bad…
"Uh…it's not something you need to worry about, as I feel bad for bringing up that travesty…" I said carefully.
"Why would you make a joke about something that's a travesty? That's rather rude and frankly insults those affected in said travesty."
Now I feel like I'm back in school getting lectured by my teachers…
"Then clearly, you've never heard of shock humor." I said, as I shot a bolt of electricity at Gaster while he was distracted.
I noticed his eyes went wide, but so did mine when he reached out, catching the lighting hold and holding it in his hand. "This wasn't made from magic. Fascinating, it's almost akin to natural lightning but more refined somehow. How did you make this?"
… I'm gonna assume that was some Void bullshit cause… wow…
"Uh…first, how are you holding the lightning like that?" I asked.
"I'm using a little bit of Void to allow me to grab it. I've never seen such refined electricity. Is whatever power you used to create this natural to you or artificially gained?"
"Well…technically both? See I have access to Electricity because I absorbed a Electronium Gem, and I also have a Quirk called Discharge." I explained.
"I see. Fascinating. I take the two work well together?"
"Yes they do, as the Gem gives me lightning creation and resistance to it, and Discharge is just more electric power."
"Interesting. Are these gems commonplace outside my pocket reality?"
"Well, they can be found from Loot, Rewards, or mining them." I said honestly. "So not too commonplace but they're not too difficult to get."
"Excellent. These gems might revolutionize our power grids." He said, conjuring a bone in his free hand and then having it phase through the lightning, the bone sparking with the electricity as he then swung it, sending a wave of red, orange, normal bones all charged with electricity at me.
Oh shit!
"Oh that's bullshit!" I snapped, using my Steel-Pop combo and throwing them into the storm of electricity, hitting the bones and having them act like lightning rods to send the electricity surge harmlessly into the ground.
"That is adapting to a change in the battle." Gastor said. "Mastering your powers, your magic, whichever you use, mastering and combining them makes you an expert in how to use them, but using them to adapt to a change in the battle makes you a master of them. You have a very extensive catalog of powers at your fingertips, all you need is to use them to understand them, master them, and combine them."
"And what you did was unfair as hell." I frowned, now just going to be stuck here forever as I probably can't beat him.
"Yes you countered it effectively." Gastor replied. "You can fight, you can think on the fly, you just lack confidence in your own abilities."
"Yeah yeah." I rolled my eyes, using Gyrate on my arm and Half Hot to send a spiral flame towards Gaster.
He dodged it, raising up bones to act as a defensive wall before shooting more off at me.
I deflected and dodged, using Speed Force when they got fast to rapidly evade them.
"Why are you so apathetic to those trying to help you get stronger? Why do you so easily put yourself down?" Gastor asked.
"Because I don't deserve the help…this is all my fight, even if some would think it isn't…" I sighed. "And why do I put myself down? Because if I fail I'll go 'I knew it', and if I succeed I'll party all the harder." I admitted.
"That's not exactly a healthy mindset to have."
"Better to curb my expectations than expect too much from myself." I said honestly.
"You'll never improve unless you actively want to. Your apathy will be the cause of your failures."
"Who said I didn't want to improve?" I asked.
"You can't say you want to improve while keeping the mindset that you'll always fail. You can't just give up all because someone stronger comes along and is breaking you. You either fight back, cast doubt and fear and apathy aside, or don't… and if you don't…" Gastor said, a blaster as tall as him appeared, this one with blue and orange eyes and it even wore his same glasses. "Then you might as well hang your family yourself and spare them the misery of a stranger doing it."
It fired.
I used speed force, ducking under the beam. Harden and Steel along my legs to keep my balance as I pulled myself up.
Hang my…
I refuse.
I felt something bubble in my chest…before I started to laugh. "Oh, oh you are so fucking dumb." I laughed at him, as the entire arena started to shake as Generation was going on long enough. "Oh, you are adorable if you think me having low expectations of myself means I just give up on everything." I said as I raised a hand and the Blaster was surrounded in a purple energy. "So let's get onto the last bit…where you said I was holding back!" I shouted, reaching up with my other hand as the Blaster started to thrash around, the middle line of its skull starting to crack as I was carefully ripping it in half.
"... Heh. Now that's more like it." Gastor said, both is eyes glowing blue and orange. "You finally show your true power. Good." He said, dozens of blasters of all sizes appearing as a barrage of bones, some orange and some blue between moving towards me.
In a flash, Generation boosted Speed Force had me easily able to dodge the blasts, the bones and thanks to Generation Harden and Steel even let me easily tank through the bone walls thrown at me.
Keeping this up, I soon found myself in front of Gastor… I was exhausted. I'd never used Generation that long before and my body was sore.
Shakily, I gave a light punch to Gastor.
"Fuck…you…" I panted heavily.
"You did well." Gastor said. I then felt something cold hit my lips as he shoved a Nicecream in my mouth. The monster food dissolved in my mouth instantly as I felt I had much more energy and less exhaustion. "Congratulations, you've earned these." He said, handing me the earrings. "As well as the knowledge of Skeleton Magic, Blue Magic, and how to create your own Blasters."
"Awesome." I said with a smile.
"Would you like to take a rest for a while before we begin?" He asked.
I shook my head, grabbing the earrings and putting them on.

Heh. I might just hug Davy when I see him for this.
"Well, this is going to be great…also I had that low of defense?" I asked worriedly, thinking I only had a hundred and eighty defense normally.
"Perhaps you thought it was higher due to your two defense related abilities. I believe David told me they were called Harden and Steel?"
"Well…yes and no." I admitted. "Also, yes one is Harden, as it harden's my body to endure attacks, and the other, Steel, turns my body into a biological version of steel to do the same thing."
"I see. From our fight you seem to use them both at the same time. Maybe you've just forgotten to increase your defense after receiving them?"
Huh… I… Think I did cause I've been abusing the shit out of them since I got them.
"Well…maybe." I admitted.
"Well, in any case, here you go." Gastor said, putting a fingerbone to my forehead. "This will make you a little light headed."

With those new spells and magic I did feel a bit light headed, like when you stand up too fast.
"Ugh…okay, that's a weird feeling…but awesome." I said with a smile.
"Give it a try. I'll even let you test out the Blue Magic on me."
I nodded, taking some steps back. Okay, and…
I felt the magic build up in my head, specifically my eye sockets, as well as my hand and I then saw Gastor's soul, the little upside down heart shape appear in their chest and turn blue. Cool!
"Okay, that's really cool." I admitted.
"To strengthen your grip, simply tighten the grip in your hand. Once you become more familiar with the magic, you can increase your grip on another's soul with a thought. To lift me up, simply move your hand up, and be careful as beginners can accidentally send another crashing or even flying."
"Alright." I nodded, gently lifting up my hand to try and do what Gaster said.
Slowly, I closed the grip in my hand, and even slower raised it up as Gaster began to lift up. "There you go. Now, I'm sure you can imagine and yes, one can use Blue Magic on themselves, however getting themselves to move up and such is much more tricky than it should. It's believed this is due to the body's magic merging back into itself rather than influencing the soul as it's supposed to." He said, giving me a smile.
"That makes sense." I nodded, gently moving Gaster side to side just to get a feel for the power.
It was kinda like… touch screen, but from a distance I guess.
I put him down and now tried out the bones.
Immediately from the ground rose a bone. Well, that was easy.
"Simple enough bone conjuration." I shrugged.
"True. Their durability is based on your Magic resistances and their damage is based on your own magic attack damage. But of course as you can see, one is a decent weapon or tool when needed, but they are best used in constructions."
I nodded, smiling as I brought out the last one. The Blasters!
It took a bit but I managed to conjure it!
The skull shape looked more human, but the teeth were still the same shape, and it even had brown glowing eyes.
"Excellent. A fun fact about the Blasters, this model will always be twice as durable as your magic resistance and twice as powerful as your magic attack, all while drawing out the baseline amount of magic from you to fire." Gaster explained.
That's why these things hit like a truck in the games.
"Yeah…that's going to hit like an absolute truck…"
"Heh. It does. So, let's head back." Gaster said, offering me a hand.
I smiled, taking it. I'm not gonna lie… it felt good to use Generation and just… let out that power. Fight with it… Part of why I trained with All Might was so One for All could more safely boost my abilities… have I been handicapping myself by not using it? I use it, but normally in short bursts…
The next day came and Papyrus was still stick but almost better.
This left me to check out some stuff regarding all my abilities and… Hm, Titles? Huh… I know Davy and them had some… are they just for show or…?
[Vestige: You have inherited the power of One for All from a prior owner. All Quirk Abilities are twice as powerful as they were with their original owners now that they have been passed to you. All Abilities gain a 'Kiln' around them to boost their power. X2 per year passed.
Loving Caretaker: You have adopted over 100 Prize Pod People from the Caretalkers Guild. Unopened Prize Pods are more likely to open for you and if not, you can hold onto them until you find the one they will open for. When you have, you will know.
Parenthood: You are a hermaphrodite that has fathered and mothered children. You embraced both parts of your biology and happily do so again. Motherhood and Fatherhood Skill Tree Abilities can cost up to half as many Skill Points as normal.
Stubborn Against The Odds: When faced against people and enemies stronger than you, you don't grow fear, you grow angry. Resist Fear now costs half as much to level up.]
"Well…that's interesting." I said honestly. "So titles are buffs here…that is good to know."
Hmm… This makes sense. I wonder if I can grind to earn more Titles that give better buffs? How do you even get titles?
I scratched my head. "Well…this got a lot more complicated…" I thought to myself carefully.
Hmmm… Dare I see if I can check Davy and them's Titles, cause I remember they were fancy as is… Maybe later. For now I should probably just focus on my combat lesson with Gaster yesterday. I need to practice more with Generation active when fighting. It's the key to being able to catch up with Davy and them.
So… why am I so reluctant to use it more often?
"Because everyone would be hounded because I have a legendary ability…" I thought to myself bitterly. "One for All is one thing…I really should be using it more…but Generation…"
I sighed. I remember the day I got it. Marrianne was so scared for me… if I use it, I'll be targeted… but I'm already targeted… for what we helped the former Greed Merchants do. And I need to protect my family, my friends…
"So much to do…so little time…" I muttered bitterly.
Well… if I'm gonna protect everyone, I need to use Generation… it's as simple as that really. Guess at least I can take comfort in that Davy wanted to help me and taught himself a lot while he and the others were stuck in here.
"Just hope this won't become a cake walk because of this and One for All boosting all my quirks by…over a multiple of a thousand…oh dear…"Uh…let's not test that theory right now…"
I got up and headed to a place I felt like was worth checking out. Grillby's. I entered, smelling food, drinks. The friendly atmosphere and overall warmth of the building felt… nice.
I took a seat at the front bar, and was immediately greeted with a slice of cake. I looked up, seeing the red Fire monster Grilby himself. "You're David, my cousin's in-law right?"
"Yep." I nodded. "Nice to meet you Grilby."
"Same, here, this is the same cake recipe I used for the wedding. I know it's not going to be the same, but consider it a little bit of the memory." He said. "And, on the house. If you want anything else, let me know." He said as he left to tend to other customers.
I chuckled, taking a fork and eating a bite of the cake. It was a vanilla, banana, chocolate icing with a hint of cinnamon. It was delicious…
Maybe Luna would be up for a mock vow renewal so I can walk her down the aisle right… Do I deserve to even ask that? Be that selfish?
"If you're wondering, the answer is yes." I nearly choked as Squeaks appeared next to me in the other stool. "You can be selfish and it's really not, I know Luna would love for you to be able to walk her down the aisle."
"When did you start to read minds?" I asked, knowing I wasn't talking to myself with the delicious cake I was eating.
"I appeared here when Grilby started talking." She said. "Mind Reading might be something I could do but never tried. Always felt rather invasive and intrusive of others personal space."
"So how did you know what I thought?"
"It's not hard. Believe it or not, we do know you a bit more than you might think we do. We did spend a year with you before ending up with this whole dungeon time distortion thing."
"I mean…fair." I shrugged. "But it would be great to…have a mock wedding to walk my sweet daughter down the aisle…let her experience something important that I…technically never got to experience or will…"
"Then go for it. Once this Dungeon is open and we're all out of here I plan on asking Gaster to marry me. You ask Luna for this, I know she'll love it."
"Alright." I nodded. "It would be great to be apart of that…it'll help bridge the gap in the years…"
"Exactly. So, that aside, enjoying Snowdin?"
"Yeah, I'm enjoying Snowdin." I nodded.
"Good... You know, it might not seem like it, but in some ways you remind me a lot of David, my David, back in the day when we first got these powers."
"How so?" I inquired.
"Back in the lab, he was doing anything he could think of to keep us all together. Mentally and physically, even if he didn't know how at first. We were all strangers back then so, plus I didn't know english back then… He saw how we were doing… and he tried to help us. Even when it cost him his own agony."
"Well…he wanted to be a good person and show that goodness does still exist in a world that doesn't care."
"It was a bit more complicated than that." Squeaks said as she leaned against the table. "As you know, when David was human he had brittle bones, well, tell me, what would a person who has always had to live their life as cracked glass, always in and out of hospitals, always dreamed of being normal, to play with other kids, to join the army as a soldier, to not be limited because of their fragile body… what do you think that person would do when they meet a man who handed them a body and power beyond human imagination and when it did break, it healed instantly? Would that be like looking at the face of god?"
"A bit, yes." I nodded.
"Then it should be surprising when David fell in love with that being he considered god. Alex." Squeaks said. "To make it worse, Alex played into David's emotions, making him feel like there was something, a connection, only to be using it as a form of loyalty enforcement and control. After all, we were made to be weapons. What better way to control us than with emotions?"
"No wonder why he was so pissed and burned away that communicator when Alex was about to say that…"
She nodded. "The day David first met the rest of us, Alex was hoping he would influence us to be as loyal to him as David was. But David saw us and… saw the agony we were in. The fusion process is a painful, excruciating experience as is, our new bodies were alien and wrong, and since we weren't as cooperative as David during tests, we were often… reprimanded." She said. "They kept Bigs in a constant state of fear, Meg they… knew here only weak points and between that and using Dark Magic, Shift was barely able to keep a form at the time so they were already constantly terrified… and since I was a child who didn't speak the language and was scared of all that was happening, well, they didn't have to do much to keep me afraid…"
"Yeah…I can imagine the rage he had there." I admitted.
"I was told David, after confronting Alex about it, punched him hard enough to throw him over a table covered in unknown chemicals and into some electronics that then gave him a nasty shock. David was shot by the guards until their magazines were empty for that, and Alex carried some rather fitting new scars after. After that, David was thrown into kill test after kill test. Alex knew none of them would kill him, but they hurt, as you know, even when his body is obliterated, he remains conscious, able to feel everything. That was the point of them, to break and drive him mad with pain… but despite it, He always pulled himself back and kept his sanity, for us." She smiled. "It took a while, but we too eventually became a bit more like how we used to be. They managed to learn a little Russian and I some english. Once some years had passed in that hell, we all had a small but basic understanding of our powers and that was when David got us out of there. Point I'm trying to say is, you two share that. A desire to protect everyone you care about. Heck, even strangers if you know they're suffering, you want to help. So don't go selling yourself short about what you can do to help alright? Setbacks happen. Accidents happen. But as long as you keep standing, you can still help others."
"I'll try my best." I said honestly, as I didn't really know what to say about Davy's backstory other than he suffered way too much.
"Good. So, care for some drinks? Grilby makes awesome milkshakes."
"That would be wonderful." I nodded with a smile.
Squeaks called Grilby over and ordered two milkshakes.
I smiled as I ate the cake slice. Davy and I being alike huh? Hmm… Maybe. I do know I won't stop trying to keep my family safe. From what I've heard of him, he didn't stop until everyone was safe either. Guess if nothing else, I know I can count on him, Squeaks, Meg and Shift to help me in a fight. Bigs, well, he'll always have something yummy for us after the battle.
That is what I want to protect… all this… this sense of peace and happiness everyone feels… this is what I'll fight for.
