Author Notes: this is a "My Hero Academia (Boku no HiroAkademia) fanfiction story. I claim no rights, or anything associated with this series as they are rightfully owned by Kohei Horikoshi. This is an AU story that I came up with after seeing the images of Izuku looking like a snake. Some of the abilities and attacks that Izuku will have either come from other anime/manga series (so please don't hate). The images that I will be using aren't mine as I got them from the web so all credit goes to them. Warning before I begin, it won't be exactly like the series as I did change things to make this story my own. First thing is that Katsuki Bakugo isn't a bully to Izuku as he is a true and loyal best friend, second thing is that All Might never gives his quirk to anyone nor is he injured or getting weaker, third thing is that Izuku's have a quirk will have abilities similar to that of Mina's and Asui's but very different in the way that he uses it, and fourth thing is that I will be not having four people in the story because I don't either like them or don't find them useful for this story (Yuga Aoyama, Koji Koda, Toru Hagakure, and Minoru Mineta). Chapter One: gaining a quirk

Ever since Izuku Midoriya was little, he looked up to and idolized heroes. His favorite was the Japan's current number one hero, All Might. Izuku couldn't wait until he earned or discovered what kind of quirk he would get. You see in the world that Izuku lives in about eighty precent of the world's population possesses some kind of supernatural super power or what is alos known as quirks. Some people are born with them while most of the world's population gains theirs before they reach four years old.

Izuku showed some signs that he would gain or develop a quirk. When Izuku was born his senses where much sharper than your normal average person. Izuku's quirk didn't fully manifest until the winter shortly after his fourth birthday. Izuku saw that it was starting to snow outside as he wanted to go and catch some snowflakes on his tongue. Izuku ran outside without layering up. The second that Izuku stepped outside, he felt very sleepy as he fell face first into the snow, unconscious. When Izuku regained consciousness, he found himself within the hospital room with a heater by his bed.

"Mom?" he questioned weekly when he saw his mother Inko sitting by his hospital bed.

"Izuku... You're finally awake. You had me worried when I found outside unconscious. I couldn't seem to wake you up no matter hard I tried."

"I am sorry mom." Suddenly there came a knock on the door as it opened to reveal a doctor.

"Ah it seems that you are finally awake. It seems that the quirk that you were showing signs of getting has fully manifested." the doctor stated while holding onto a clipboard. Upon hearing those words caused a large smile to cross Izuku's face.

"What... Really?! What kind of quirk do I have?" Izuku asked.

"It is a rather unique variant as you fall into two different quirk classes. You have a unique snake-like qurik which also allows you to have both poison and acid abilities. We are naming the quirk, viper. Your abilities make you fall into both the emitter and transformation quirk class." the doctor explained.

The smile seemed to broaden even more on Izuku's face when he learned a little bit more about his awakened quirk. He could feel something twitch by his side as he pulled back the blanket to find a long tail that very similar to a snakes.

"Because of your newfound reptile nature, going outside into the cold without bundling up caused you to go into hibernation. So you have to be extra careful during the winter and cold months." the doctor explained. Hearing these words Inko seemed to breathe a sigh of relief knowing that her son was looking forward to the day that he fully developed his quirk. "I would suggest that Izuku stays here for a couple of days this way he can fully learn how to fully control his quirk."

"Yes... of course." Inko replied as she got up from her chair to lean over kissing Izuku on his forehead. "I will be back in a couple of days Izuku. Do you want anything before I go?"

"A notebook and writing materials." Izuku replied. Inko nodded her head as she clearly understood why Izuku was requesting those items.

You see Izuku was incredibly smart for his age. He had a unique ability where he was able to analyze a quirk. He could determine the strengths and weaknesses of a quirk. He could come up with ways to use the quirk and the various skills that would help the quirk and its user. No doubt that Izuku was going to do the same thing with his own quirk. Inko nodded her head as she left the hospital room. The doctor proceeded to explain to Izuku more about his quirk and its capabilities. Izuku listened making mental notes. He couldn't wait to tell and show his childhood best friend Katsuki Bakugo or as Izuku called him Kacchan since he had trouble saying Katsuki's first name when he was younger. Both Katsuki's and Izuku's moms where high school friends as they remained that way even after they had married and had children of their own. They felt that their sons should be friends. Instantly both Izuku and Katsuki hit it off as they both idolized the hero All Might.

Katsuki developed a rather strong quirk belonging to the emitter class as it combined both of his parents quirks together giving Katsuki the power to create explosions from his sweat. Most of the other kids picked on Izuku since his quirk hasn't fully developed yet calling Izuku "Deku." It came from the pun of the word Dekunobou which meant good for nothing or in other words "useless." But as Katsuki pointed out it could also be an abbreviation for the word Dekiru which meant one who can do anything. Izuku didn't seem to mind it if Katsuki called him Deku since he found another meaning for the nickname as he knew that Katsuki didn't use the name as to torment Izuku. Katsuki knew how incredibly smart Izuku was and would defend him from the bullies that would pick on him. Inko returned giving Izuku the items that he requested before leaving the hospital. Right away Izuku began writing into the notebook as the doctor told him that tomorrow they would begin to work on Izuku's quirk and start training. After the doctor had left the room Izuku went to the bathroom to see a full length mirror. Izuku's facial features didn't change that much as now two red slashes lined his cheeks with his freckles. In the center of his eyebrows was a red mark that looked almost like a lightning bolt. His ears were longer and more pointed similar to what he would picture an elves ears to be like. His eyes had a more reptilian look to them. Sharp fangs lined his mouth as his tongue looked very similar to a snakes. A long green tail came out of his tail bone as pink frills lined the tail. He noticed red markings similar to the ones on his face was also on his tails. The under belly of his tail was matching his pale skin tone. Izuku also noticed sharp claws lined both of his hands.

After his bathroom run, Izuku returned back to the bed making some more notes into his notebook before going to bed. He already had a good sense of what he should be capable of. He couldn't wait to begin training and learning everything he could about his quirk. The next morning Izuku was lead to an exercise and training room where they had also brought a few other kids to teach them how to use their newfound and awakened quirks. First thing Izuku wanted to try to do was transform or at least partially transform into a snake. It took a while as Izuku was able to transform his legs into a snake tail. It looked like his tail had covered his legs becoming longer. From the looks of the transformation, it seemed like it would be painful but Izuku didn't seem to feel any pain. Once Izuku's legs had become a snake tail, Izuku moved his body upright slithering across the floor much like a snake would move. He found out that in this form he was able to move much quicker than normal. Izuku dubbed this his slithering snake mode. Once Izuku had mastered this form, Izuku transformed back to his normal form. Next Izuku knew that some snakes could camouflage themselves hiding themselves within the surrounding area. Izuku managed to unlock another ability thanks to his scales. His scales became solid like iron. Izuku dubbed this technique as iron skin. Since Izuku was able to produce acid and poison, he theorized that he should have poison immunity. He also knew that snakes had the ability to hypnotize other creatures. Izuku tested this out on another kid. His binding snake glare was able to immobilize the child. With enough effort Izuku was able to use hypnotizing snake stare to get the child to do whatever he commanded.

After his first day of training, Izuku could hardly wait to learn more about his other abilities. Later on Inko had returned as this time she was accompanied by Katsuki Bakugo.

"Kacchan!" Izuku exclaimed happily as he jumped from the bed tackling Katsuki to the floor. Unconsciously without meaning to Izuku had transformed into his half snake form. He had wrapped Katsuki up into his coils.

"It has been only a couple of days Deku. Can you please let me up?" Katsuki asked. Izuku looked down at himself realizing what had happened as he let out a light chuckle before he released Katsuki from his scales transforming back to normal.

"Sorry Kacchan. I was just so excited to see you." Izuku replied as he helped Katsuki back up to his feet.

"I can see that. I went over to your place when you didn't show up to school. She told me that you had fully awakened and developed your quirk." stated Katsuki as he took Izuku's hand and got back up to his feet.

Izuku began to ramble about his newfound and fully awakened quirk. He had told Katsuki and his mom all about everything that he had learned and accomplished with his training.

"You have so much to learn but the doctors told me that it seems that you have a good concept of how to control and use your quirk which is faster than most kids are able to do at the same age as you. So you will be able to come home sooner than usual." Inko stated. A sheepish grin crossed Izuku's face as he knew that it was bound to happen considering how well he could analyze quirks and his given intelligence. But he could hardly wait to begin training with Katsuki to strengthen their quirks as they both had a goal in mind. They both wanted to become heroes.
