Author Notes: this is a "My Hero Academia (Boku no Hiro Akademia) fanfiction story. I claim no rights, or anything associated with this series as they are rightfully owned by Kohei Horikoshi. This is an AU story that I came up with after seeing the images of Izuku looking like a snake. Some of the abilities and attacks that Izuku will have either come from other anime/manga series (so please don't hate). The images that I will be using aren't mine as I got them from the web so all credit goes to them. Warning before I begin, it won't be exactly like the series as I did change things to make this story my own. First thing is that Katsuki Bakugo isn't a bully to Izuku as he is a true and loyal best friend, second thing is that All Might never gives his quirk to anyone nor is he injured or getting weaker, third thing is that Izuku's have a quirk will have abilities similar to that of Mina's and Asui's but very different in the way that he uses it, and fourth thing is that I will be not having some people in the story because I don't either like them or don't find them useful for this story (Yuga Aoyama, Koji Koda, Toru Hagakure, Minoru Mineta, Manga Fukidashi, and Neito Monoma). Please be sure to leave your thoughts and comments telling me what you think of the story as I greatly appreciate the feedback. Also who do you guys think should win the sports festival? I have an idea of whom I would like to see win but I would like your guys opinion. For this chapter I will be only focusing on Izuku's fights as the rest of the fights happen just like they do in the series.

Chapter Eleven: the sports festival – round three
"Welcome back everyone. Are you ready for some epic one on one match ups?" asked Present Mic. The crowd roared as this was what they were looking forward to. This would showcase the students and who help the heroes in choosing whom they want to get for the internships. "From the General Studies course we have Hitoshi Shinso and from Class 1A of the hero course we have Izuku Midoriya." announced Present Mic. Both Izuku and Shinso walked into the arena and to the ring where they would fight.
"The rules are simple. Fight until your opponent summits or can no longer fight and continue on. Also if you manage to get your opponent to step out of the ring will also allow you to win." announced Midnight. Both Izuku and Shinso nodded their heads understanding the rules. Midnight stepped off shouted to begin.
"It must be nice to be the most recognized person as it seems your power will take you is stupid to quit instead of continuing on. It seems to me that your quirk is more on the villainous side but you have the gall to call yourself a hero..." It wasn't the first time that Izuku had heard about his quirk being villainous. But hearing about how Mashirao was stupid not to continuing onward because of his morals. Because of that he had forgot about Mashirao's warning about Shinso's quirk.
"Look here..." began Izuku before he could feel Shinso's mind control take control over his mind.
"Now I want you to go and walk out of the ring." commanded Shinso. Izuku could feel his own hypnotizing snake stare starting to break him free of the brain washing. Izuku could see in the wings All Might watching in his true form but, he wasn't alone. There was seven other misty forms of humans that was with him. Izuku finally broke free of the mind control. Izuku turned giving a evil glare towards Shinso before he charged at the purple hair teen. Shinso tried to get Izuku to speak but he wasn't having much success. Izuku grabbed Shinso by the arm when the purple haired teen tried to throw a punch. Izuku tossed Shinso over his shoulder slamming the teen hard into the matt. Shinso's feet managed to land outside of the line of the ring that they were in.
"Hitoshi Shinso is out of bounds! That means Izuku Midoriya wins!" announced Midnight. Izuku walked over towards Shinso offering him a hand up.
"No one quirk is truly villainous or heroic. It is how you use it that defines you. Your mind control was quite strong as it would come useful for capturing criminals and villains." Izuku stated. Some of the pro-heroes whom was watching the event agreed with Izuku's statement. Hearing these words caused Shinso to break down in tears. All of his life, Shinso was told that his villainous no one has ever made him realize that his quirk could be very useful given the right situation. Shinso offered his hand towards Izuku as he helped Shinso get back up to his feet.
"So how in the world did you manage to break free of my quirk?" Shinso asked. Izuku gave Shinso a taste of his hypnotizing snake stare. It hit Shinso hard as he could feel his own quirk breaking him out of it. Once free from Izuku's hypnotizing snake stare, Shinso seemed to understand. "I see... I guess I have to work hard in order to achieve my goal and join the hero course."
"I look forward to it." Izuku stated as he shook hands with Shinso.
Izuku watched the rest of the one on one fights as most of them played out exactly how Izuku predicted them to go as the next round he would face against Shoto Todoroki. Izuku went to get ready as he was confronted by Shoto whom told him a bit about his tragic past and his thoughts about his own quirk. He would use Midoriya to show his father, the number two pro-hero Endeavor that he rejects his fire side of his quirk. The next person to confront Izuku was Endeavor whom told him that Shoto was destined for greatness and someone who will surpass the hero All Might. Hearing these words from the number two pro-hero greatly angered Izuku as now he understand the reason why Shoto was the way he was. Izuku knew what he had to do. He had to make Shoto except his power and break free from the expectations that his father had placed upon his shoulders. Izuku saw All Might as he headed down towards the arena.
"Young Midoriya do you have a plan on how you are going to fight Shoto Todoroki?" asked All Might knowing what his ice quirk would do to someone with the type of quirk Izuku possed.
"I had made some adjustments to my hero costume which shall keep me warm against Shoto's ice quirk. I had a feeling that there was a chance that I would have to fight him. I also need to help him come to a realization about his power." Izuku stated.
"I see... I look forward to what you plan to achieve Young Midoriya." stated All Might. That's when All Might noticed Izuku's eyes were glowing as they looked more reptilian than normal. "Young Midoriya is there something wrong with your eyes?" Izuku reached up to his eyes blinking several times. But no matter what he did, he could still see the seven misty humans next to All Might.
"Frankly to tell you the truth All Might, I think my eyes can see something other worldly about your quirk." explained Izuku before he told All Might what he was seeing. All Might looked at Izuku stunned by his words.
"I have to get going All Might." Izuku stated as he went towards the arena.
"All right lets get ready for the second round of the one on one fights. Coming to the arena from Class 1A's hero course it is Izuku Midoriya. And his opponent also from Class 1A's hero course it is Shoto Todoroki." announced Present Mic. The crowd roared out as both students made their way to the arena.
"You both know the rules so lets have a clean fight... Begin!" announced Midnight.
"Sorry Midoriya but I am not going to let this drag out as this round is mine." stated Todoroki as he produced his Heaven Piercing Ice Wall covering the arena with ice. Shoto thought that his ice would put Izuku to sleep but he began to notice something burning through his ice. Izuku had used his acid to burn through as his claws helped dig him out of the ice. Todoroki looked at Izuku shocked. "How?"
"Let's just say that I was prepared as I knew that there was a good chance that I would have to face you in a fight so I requested to wear my winter costume." replied Izuku. Shoto sent another wall of ice towards Izuku. Izuku tore through the ice using laceration and acid shot. Izuku noticed that the ice was beginning to freeze parts of Shoto's body. Izuku put Shoto into in his binding snake glare. "It seems that you aren't giving it your all as you aren't going to win with using only fifty percent of your power." snarled Izuku.
"I refuse to use his fire as I will win using only my mother's quirk." replied Shoto as he tried to break free of Izuku's binding snake glare.
"It's yours! Your quirk not his! You should be giving it your all regardless!"
Hearing those words from Izuku caused something to snap within Shoto as his fire side activated. It broke Shoto free of the binding snake glare as Izuku could tell that Shoto needed to hear those words. Izuku could hear Endeavor shouting out something to Shoto about finally accepting and using his fire side of his quirk. Izuku put Endeavor into his binding snake glare causing the number two hero to freeze up completely.
"Shoto isn't you Endeavor and will never be. He should have the right to chose what kind of her he wants to be. Not what you want him to achieve because of your own selfish desires." Izuku hissed at Endeavor. Shoto looked at Izuku stunned as it seemed that he was willing to not only help Shoto out but also put Endeavor in his place.
"Midoriya... Thank you." Shoto stated as he lifted his hand. Izuku coated himself in his iron skin ready for Shoto's fire blast. "I surrender." Shoto stated as he powered down both sides of his quirk.
"Shoto Todoroki has resigned and no longer wishes to continue. That means Izuku Midoriya moves on to the next round!" announced Midnight. Izuku went over to Todoroki whom sat on the ground.
"Feeling better about yourself and about your quirk?" asked Izuku.
"Yeah... Thank you Midoriya. How long will he stay like that?" Shoto asked pointing at his father.
"For a while. Are you certain about surrendering?"
"Yeah... I feel that I need to better understand myself and the type of hero I want to be. Besides I have feeling that you are more deserving to move on." replied Shoto. Izuku offered his hand to Shoto helping the bi-color teen back up to his feet.
Izuku watched the rest of the matches as in the third round he would face against the speedster Tenya Iida while Bakugo was up against Fumikage Tokoyami after they had won their matches. Izuku knew that Bakugo would easily win against Tokoyami as his quirk dark shadow is naturally weaker against a light based quirk as Bakugo's quirk definitely produced light because of his explosions. Izuku sat in the waiting room going over his notes. Bakugo walked into the waiting room to see Izuku hunched over his notebook mumbling to himself. Bakugo knew that no matter what he does he wouldn't get Izuku's attention. He knew of only one way to get Izuku's attention. Bakugo went up to Izuku as he flicked Izuku's long ear causing him to jump snarling at the person who disturbed him. The look of surprise crossed Izuku's face when he saw Katsuki.
"Kacchan?"
"Sorry... I know that you were deep in thought. Don't stress out too much about your match with Iida as I know that you will win."
"It's not going to be easy as most my abilities Iida has seen first hand as most of my attacks won't have a chance to land. Plus there is Iida's speed. I won't have a chance to attack if he doesn't stay still." Izuku stated while pouting.
"Then come up with something he won't expect. I want to face against you in the finals. I know that you will give me a decent fight. I know that you will give me a decent fight. We will show everyone why we are the best!" Katsuki stated with a large smile on his face. Izuku smiled back as he watched Katsuki leave the room. Izuku thought long and hard about combining some of his abilities together.
'But what ones should I combine and how do I use it against Iida?'
"All right you maniacs... Are you ready for the third round of match ups? This will determine who will advance to the final one on one match to determine the winner of the sports festival." announced Present Mic. The crowd roared out in shouts, cheers, and applause eager to see whom makes it to the finals. "Now approaching the stage is the speedster from the famed Iida family... Tenya Iida of class 1A's hero course. Also from class 1A is everyone favorite little devious reptile, Izuku Midoriya." announced Present Mic. Both students entered the arena making their way to the center ring.
"You both know the rules so give it your all. Ready... And begin!" Midnight stated as she quickly stepped off to the side.
"I'm sorry Midoriya but I plan to win and end this match." Iida stated as he revved his engines located on his legs. Izuku allowed his nails to lengthen as acid dripped from them. Iida knew how dangerous Izuku's acid was as he couldn't allow Izuku to land a hit on him. Iida wasn't certain if Izuku would be able to keep up with his speed. Iida decided to attack Izuku unsure of what Izuku had planned. Iida revved his engines as he moved quickly shifted into his slithering snake mode as he dodged Iida's attack. Izuku decided now was the best chance t try one of the new attacks out that he had come up with. Tucking into a ball and allowing his nails to stay fully extended, Izuku moved to attack.
"Fang over Fang!" Izuku stated as he rolled over towards Iida as he slashed at the speedster wildly. What Iida didn't realize was that Izuku had figured a way to have his acid and poison give off a paralyzing effect that he usually manages to do with using his fangs by using the paralyzing fang bite. Iida didn't realize it until it was too late as he soon found himself unable to move.
"What?! Why can't I move?" Iida asked. Izuku stopped moving as he faced Iida.
"I managed to paralyze you. The acid was used to throw you off as I knew that you would be careful to get hit by my claws. But with my new attack, it was much harder for you to avoid those hits." Izuku stated. Iida found Izuku's words to be true as he knew that he wouldn't be able to fight any longer since he had been paralyzed.
"I surrender!" Iida sighed hating the fact that Izuku had managed to outsmart him.
"Iida has surrendered that means Izuku Midoriya moves on to the finals to face against Katsuki Bakugo!" announced Midnight.
