Author Notes: this is a "My Hero Academia (Boku no Hiro Akademia) fanfiction story. I claim no rights, or anything associated with this series as they are rightfully owned by Kohei Horikoshi. This is an AU story that I came up with after seeing the images of Izuku looking like a snake. Some of the abilities and attacks that Izuku will have either come from other anime/manga series (so please don't hate). The images that I will be using aren't mine as I got them from the web so all credit goes to them. Warning before I begin, it won't be exactly like the series as I did change things to make this story my own. First thing is that Katsuki Bakugo isn't a bully to Izuku as he is a true and loyal best friend, second thing is that All Might never gives his quirk to anyone nor is he injured or getting weaker, third thing is that Izuku's have a quirk will have abilities similar to that of Mina's and Asui's but very different in the way that he uses it, and fourth thing is that I will be not having some people in the story because I don't either like them or don't find them useful for this story (Yuga Aoyama, Koji Koda, Toru Hagakure, Minoru Mineta, Manga Fukidashi, and Neito Monoma). Please be sure to leave your thoughts and comments telling me what you think of the story as I greatly appreciate the feedback. Also who do you guys think should win the sports festival? I have an idea of whom I would like to see win but I would like your guys opinion.

Chapter Thirteen: interns

The following day the students of class 1A all sat discussing about how they felt they did I the sports festival and about the sports festival in general. Many congratulated Izuku and Bakugo on their win.

"Izuku…. I never got the chance to thank you for opening up my eyes about my powers." Todoroki stated with a small soft smile on his face.

"It's nice to see you finally open up a bit as before you were a bit closed off." Izuku stated bluntly. Todoroki knew that Izuku didn't mean it to sound so mean so, he chose not to say anything as he just nodded his head in agreement. Izuku excused himself to go and talk to Iida. He had read and heard what had happened to his older brother Tensei also known as the hero Ingenium. Tensei was attacked and critically injured by a villain known as the Hero Killer Stain.

"Iida….. I heard and read about what happened to your brother. I hope that you don't plan on doing something stupid like going after the villain by yourself. It would lead you close to being killed." Izuku stated. Iida didn't get a chance to respond as Aizawa entered the room.

"All right everyone take your seats." Commanded Aizawa. The students took their seats as Aizawa began to write on the chalk board list of the student names who participated in the sports festival and numbers next to them. He then proceeded to hand out papers to all of the students with a list of hero agencies. "In front of you is a list of hero agencies that have agreed to take on interns. Those of you whose names are on the board have a number of choices from the many agencies to choose from. You will have till the end of the day to choose the agency that you wish to intern at." Aizawa stated as he gave the class time to go over the list. Many of the students had a good idea of where they wanted to intern at. Izuku was compiling a list of what agencies would work best with the abilities that he currently possessed.

"Izuku….. Take a break and come eat lunch." Bakugo called out taking the papers from the snake teen.

"Right….. sorry. It's just that I have so many options. I want to make sure that I make the right choice."

"I know… It's hard. But you have plenty of time." Stated Bakugo. As the two teens began to make their way to the cafeteria. But before they could get there, All Might approached the teens.

"Young Midoriya, Young Bakugo may I have a word with you about a possible choice for a hero agency to intern at." stated All Might. Both Izuku and Katsuki looked at each other before they followed Yagi. Yagi took them to a private room where he reverted to his normal form.

"Have you two felt any different or notice the power of One for All appear within you?" asked All Might. Bakugo shook his head no. Izuku's eyes were glowing as he could see three misty forms next to Katsuki.

"All I can see that appears the transfer was successful. The power of One for All was divided between the two of us. It will just possibly take some training to discover which abilities we have gained One for All." Replied Izuku.

"That's good to hear. May I recommend that you both intern with my teacher Gran Torino. He is the only other person who knows the truth about One for All. He also knew my mentor and the previous holder of One for All." Both Izuku and Katsuki looked at each other knowing that All Might had a good point. They both agreed to go with All Might's mentor.

A couple of days later class 1A all stood at the train station with the briefcases in hand. The briefcases held their hero costume.

"Alright… Remember to be on your best behavior and learn from the heroes that you will be interning with. And you will be return back to class after a week." stated Aizawa. The students boarded the trains heading off for their respected agencies. Izuku had made mental notes of questions to ask Gran Torino about One for All. Before their trip, All Might gave Izuku and Katsuki a notebook combing what he could remember about all the previous holders of One for All. So far, the only thing they both had gained is increased stamina, strength, and speed. Both Izuku and Katsuki hoped that their internship with Gran Torino. Izuku tried talking to Iida before their trip but the look on Iida's face showed that he was out for vengeance. Izuku hoped that he was wrong but when he saw that Iida chose to intern in the city where his brother was nearly killed. Iida chose to intern with Manuel in Hosu.

"Deku…..?" Katsuki called out snapping Izuku out of his thoughts.

"Huh?!" Izuku asked in question.

"You looked deep in thought and troubled. What's wrong Izuku?"

"It's about Iida. I think he is going after the hero killer. I'm afraid that the path he's going down may end up killing him."

"If that happens, then we will be there to help protect him as heroes should."

"Yeah….. I guess that you are right. I managed to copy All Might's notes and made some notations in the original copy." Izuku stated as he gave Bakugo one of the notebooks. Bakugo opened up the notebook seeing the added pages. "I made notes on the three quirks that I believe will work well with our original quirk along with the powers we could inherit because of One for All. Hopefully with our training and internship with Gran Torino will draw out some of One for All's ability. It's hard to say if my prediction is right or not."

"Knowing your analytical skill, I have a feeling that you could be right. Let's hope we learn something useful from Gran Torino. Then later on we can worry about Iida." stated Katsuki. Izuku nodded his head as he grabbed his briefcase as their stop was coming up.

Both Katsuki and Izuku got off the train as they both walked towards the address that All gave them. It didn't look like an actual agency but more like an apartment complex.

"Are we in the right place?" Bakugo asked.

"You have to remember that he is retired. So, he may not have a regular agency. Let's check it out first before we call All Might." Izuku stated. Bakugo nodded his head in agreement. They knocked on the door only to have it swing open suddenly. Inside is what looked like to be the body of an old man laying in a pool of blood. Katsuki wanted to rush to the old man's side but before he could move, Izuku stopped him. "You can stop pretending old man. I know that you aren't dead, I can still hear your heartbeat." The body of the old man began to move rising to his feet.

"Toshinori wasn't kidding when he told me about the snake quirk user. I thought that gag would definitely get you, but it appears that it failed." stated Gran Torino as he dusted off the ketchup from the front of his uniform. Gran Torino got a good look at the two who now hold the power of One for All. "I watched the sports festival as I can see why Toshinori would choose you. The first thing we are going to do is get One for All to manifest within you to see what abilities you have both gained from it. We will begin your training tomorrow as I will show you both to your rooms."

The next day both Izuku and Bakugo had breakfast with Gran Torino before he led the two teens to a nearby training room.

"I want you both to get into your hero costumes as I will be seeing personally what you are capable of and how well you can use One of All. I want you both to give me your all." stated Gran Torino. Both Izuku and Bakugo nodded their heads as they took their hero briefcases and got dressed into hero costumes. Bakugo decided to go first as he chose not to wear his gauntlets as he didn't need to destroy Gran Torino's place. Bakugo knew how destructive his explosion blasts could be even with his armed gauntlets. "Now let's begin. The rules are quite simple. You are able to use any of the power that All Might gave you." stated Gran Torino as he set a timer. Bakugo charged at Gran Torino setting off small explosions trying to catch Gran Torino but no matter what Bakugo did he couldn't land a blow as the time went off. "Nice try. You definitely possess talent and incredible power. You will definitely make a fine hero." Bakugo nodded his head as he felt a bit frustrated when he couldn't land a blow on Gran Torino. The elder then turned his attention towards Izuku who was watching everything. Bakugo couldn't help but to laugh as he knew that Izuku would give the old man a run for his money. "It's your turn Izuku. Let's hope you do better than your friend."

'He is greatly underestimating what Izuku is capable of. No doubt Izuku knows how to land a hit on the old man. I wouldn't doubt that Izuku has already got this man's ability and power figured out.' Bakugo thought to himself as he nodded his head towards Izuku. Izuku could see four misty forms next to him as they looked to be more in a human in shape now as each had a different color to them. His were green, orange, pink and white. Izuku could feel the power of One for All pulse throughout his body as energy became visible throughout his veins. Seeing this caused Gran Torino's eyes to widen.

*Because not to underestimate the old man. Because I couldn't even beat him.* stated a female voice in the back of his mind. Izuku looked around but he couldn't see who was talking to him. But Izuku had a feeling that it was the spirits of One for All. Izuku knew that he couldn't use his poison or acid on Gran Torino, so his best bet was the power of One of All. With the power coursing through his veins, Izuku camouflaged himself from Gran Torino's view.

'His jets allow him to move quickly. He used the walls to avoid Bakugo's explosions. But he won't be able to avoid what he can't see.' Izuku moved quickly, getting behind Gran Torino.

"You continue to surprise me Izuku. It seems that you are capable of more than five percent of One for All. Unlike your friend Bakugo. So, you are going to help me get Bakguo to achieve the same results you have managed to unlock." stated Gran Torino.
