A/N: Guess who's been sick again? This guy! Nose completely stuffed to the point I couldn't breathe properly despite not having anything in there, sore throat from coughing up muck, hot flashes, Nightmares that left me restless. Ect. Stuck with me for a week and I wasn't able to get jack finished because of it. Normally I love Winter, but this year it's been a bit of a pain. I mean twice with getting sick? Now that's just not fair.
But I'm thankful nonetheless, I could have gotten something worse.
For now though, let's get right into the Chapter.
The Cell Games FIrst Battle! Battle of Power and Technique!
(Cell Games Arena)
Goku and Cell closed in and solided fist with one another, releasing a shockwave between the two warriors. The Saiyan gained a solid glare while the Bio-Android was smirking up a storm. They soon jumped back from one another, Cell firing ki-blasts at Goku who had jumped around to avoid the attacks. Goku kept dodging before dashing from his spot and closed in on Cell, delivering a devastating uppercut in his stomach.
While Cell hunched over from the impact, Goku swung his leg around and kicked Cell towards the edge of his arena before lunging at him with a ki-enhanced fist. Cell barely stopped himself before raising his hand up and catching the punch within his palm. He kept up his smirk as he threw a leg up, kicking Goku's head up before striking the Saiyan several times in his chest before finally using his free hand to force him to the other side of the arena. Goku recovered, but he rubbed his chest briefly before entering his stance.
Cell let out a mock laughter before doing the same himself. He then vanished from sight and appeared just behind Goku, throwing a leg at his head. However Goku managed to dodge this by flipping himself around and throwing his own kick into the Bio-Android's side. Cell landed on his feet, but was quickly assaulted by several punches across his chest and head, not letting up for a moment. Goku kept up his attack, pushing Cell back before he delivered a spinning roundhouse kick into his face.
Goku then held out his hand and began firing ki-blast. Cell however brought up a barrier and managed to protect himself long enough for him to get off the ground. With his hands held out, he rained down ki-blasts upon his arena, each of which exploded on impact. He watched as Goku stopped his attack and began dashing around to avoid the attack, but was ultimately caught up in the explosion.
At least that's what he thought until Goku suddenly appeared from behind and kicked him hard enough to send him crashing into the ground. The Saiyan dashed down and punched Cell in his chest, releasing a powerful wave of ki doing so. He jumped back and landed across from the Bio-Android, his guard never faltering for a moment. It took a moment, but Cell was back up on his feet, dusting himself off and soon regained his smirk.
"Is that all you have Goku? I do hope you're not giving it your A-Game right at the get go otherwise this is pathetic." Cell mocked, not affecting the Saiyan at all.
"If you're so sure about that, then come over here and force me to take you seriously then." Goku said, his own smirk up and running.
"Ohhh, you're going to regret that little comment, Goku." Cell said while powering up. Goku had done the same before they lunged at each once again.
(With Polar and Mira)
Polar dashed backwards with Mira right on his tail. The Demon was firing blast after blast, never hitting his target for a moment, being mocked all the while. "I've seen Frieza's Men with better aim than that, Demon."
Mira however only flew faster after him and grew close enough to land a solid strike across Polar's face. The Demon didn't heast to keep up with his assault, throwing punch after punch to take down the Frost Demon. He kept it up until he finally slammed Polar in the ground and jumped back with both hands over head. A large ki-blast formed overhead, tossing it down upon the Frost Demon and exploding on impact.
The Demon scoffed as the blast faded, expecting nothing more than dust. However Polar remained unharmed, standing in the middle of the crater without so much of a scratch on him. "You should know that with someone of my power and my specie's build, I can take much more than you can throw."
"And you should know I've been designed in exactly the same way. Your DNA is a part of me, same with many other warriors." Mira stated.
"...Well that's something I didn't need to know." Polar said bluntly, shivering involentarly. "Regardless, I have much more important things that require my attention, so I'm afraid that I'm going to have to make this quit."
"You seem quite confident in that statement." Mira said.
"I should be, I haven't even begun to take you seriously." Polar mocked while giving the Demon a lazy stare. Mira scowled and was about to say something, but a beam shot from the Frost Demon's eyes and blasted him back. "Tch. Some warriors. Too cocky for my taste."
Polar dashed right after him, several mountain-like boulders erupting from the ground and following him. Mira recovered from the blast, cursing himself from falling for such an obvious trick. He glanced up only to be kicked directly in his chest and forced straight to the ground. Polar jumped back as several boulders from above slammed down upon Mira's body, crumbling on top of him. A bright red flash shined through the debris, turning it into dust with Mira standing in the middle of it all.
Dust surrounded him quickly, but he paid no mind to it in favor of trying to sense Polar's position. Something bright shined through the smoke before revealing itself to be a Ki-Disk! Mira jumped over it before destroying it with a blast. He looked up through the smoke to see several more flying towards him and began blasting them. Most were destroyed, but few grew closer and forced him to dodge. Forming his own Ki-Disk, Mira tossed it into the incoming attacks and destroyed them briefly. He glanced around for a while before pain erupted in his back and through his chest.
"When did you…?" Mira trailed off looking down. He looked to see a hand piercing his chest with Ki wrapped around it. He caught Polar's energy for a mere split moment before he was attacked.
"You let your guard down. It's that simple." Polar coldly ripped his hand out of the Demon, kicking him away. Mira formed a Ki-Blade, slashing at the Frost Demon only to miss completely. "You see, I'm not like the others. While they have their honor amongst battle, mine has its limits. I'm putting you down permanently."
Mira was slapped aay by the Frost Demon's tail before being slammed into the ground. He tried to get up, but Polar stomped down on his wound, making him roar out in pain. Light soon engulfed his vision as he looked up to see the glowing fingers of Polar. Before he could react, Deathbeams fired upon his chest, piercing with ease. Blood splattered from his mouth while Polar kept his assault going. Once he was done, Mira was a bloody mess, his armor ripped apart and barely hanging and was limp over all.
"...Seems like we're done here." Polar stepped off the body and began walking back to the Cell Games. He was about to take flight before the sound of weak laughter came from behind, making him turn around with a scowl. "Great."
Purple mist erupted from the ground where Mira was as the Demon Realm's mark appeared underneath. Then it suddenly faded, being absorbed into Mira's body, glowing ever so faintly. Not a moment later he rose from the ground with a wide smirk on his face.
"I underestimated you. I didn't expect a mere Frost Demon to deal as much damage on me as you have, but you did. Very well might I add." Mira said, slowly ripping off his armor. Only his body suit remained as he clenched his fist. "You may be able to push me towards my goal. To release my true power!"
"Tch. Then please, show me what you got." Polar said while entering a stance. Mira merely laughed maniacally before a red aura suddenly exploded around him, pushing him further back. "What the-oh...you bastard."
Zenkai Boost. He had Saiyan Blood flowing through his veins and he just recovered from his beating!
"This is only the beginning! Come! Force me to go even further beyond!" Mira declared before vanishing. Before Polar could react, he was harshly uppercutted and sent flying back, digging deep into the ground. Mira stood in his spot, clenching his fist ever so tightly with the idest smirk on his face. "That is, if you survive long enough."
(Cell Games Arena)
Cell roared, firing multiple beams down at Goku. The Saiyan narrowly dodged each one, growing ever close enough to strike the Bio-Android across his face. He then grabbed him by his leg and swung them around until he tossed Cell straight outside the arena floor.
Goku remained in place while Cell picked himself back up, glaring at the Saiyan for his trick. However the smirk came back in full force. "You don't think I'm ending our fight because we're not in the ring anymore? It's more for appearances anyway and I'm sure you're smart enough to realize it. But if it bothers you that much, then we'll be rid of it."
Cell rose up his hand as the ground around him exploded, taking the arena and multiple Demon Realm Soldiers along with it. Once it faded, the Bio-Android was seen slowly floating up to the Saiyan's level, no remorse clear in his eyes. They shined purple briefly before he reentered his stance and dashed at Goku.
He closed in immediately, throwing several jabs at him and being blocked all the while. Cell then threw his leg up and kicked Goku back before holding up his hand. A Desructo-Disk appeared in hand before he tossed it, flying at near blinding speeds. Goku saw this coming however and managed to dash over it while it sliced a mountain in two. Dashing over to Cell, he stopped right in front of him with his eyes closed and hands overhead.
"SOLAR FLARE!" Light blinded Cell on impact, making him scream out in pain. Goku however swung himself around and uppercutted him directly in his back. The Bio-Android folded himself at the pain before being grabbed by his head and flung away.
Afterwards, Goku held out his hands and began firing ki-blasts at the Bio-Android. However Cell used his barrier to defend himself, not allowing a single blast to damage it. Cell maximized his barrier and let loose a shockwave that spread throughout the land. He glanced up to find Goku only for the Saiyan to suddenly appear in front of him with a Kamehameha in hand. Cell kicked it away though before grabbing Goku by his neck.
"You're not playing all that fair Goku. I haven't even gotten to show off my own techniques yet." Cell said while holding his hand out to the Saiyan's chest. Green energy built up from within his palm before a painful shockwave sent Goku flying back. He crashed into the ground hard, clutching his chest while he looked up to see the Bio-Android in front of him. "That was my Gravity Impact. Now let's see how you handle a technique from one of my former allies. My Deadly Bomber."
Cell held out his hands as a massive ball of ki appeared in front of him. Jumping up to his feet, Goku dashed up once the attack was fired and chased after him. The Bio-Android crossed his arms as the attack chased after the Saiyan, wondering if Goku would be able to outpower it or come up with something else. The Deadly Bomber inched closer and closer, almost hitting the Saiyan. Yet Goku suddenly dashed over it and down towards Cell, the attack giving chase. Seeing this, The Bio-Android merely brought up his barrier and surrounded himself. Goku dashed down even further with a fist reeled back and laced in ki before shattering through the barrier with a single strike. He left no time for Cell to react, crossing his arms and slamming into the Bio-Android's legs, flipping him over on the ground. The Deadly Bomber came after, stirking Cell and blowing up on impact while blasting Goku back.
The Saiyan recovered briefly, but cupped his hands together and began chanting. "Ka...Me...Ha...Me..."
The smoke cleared as Cell was seen dashing at Goku with a Ki-Blade in hand. "Come along, Son Goku!"
"HAAAAAAA!" Goku fired his attack before Cell could strike him down. It consumed the Bio-Android instantly, releasing an explosive shockwave that echoed. The beam itself tore through the area, reducing it to ash. Finally settling down, Goku lowered his hands and let out a breath. "..."
...Goku slowly went back to his stance, taking in a deep breath and closing his eyes. Everything felt still for a moment before he held out his hand and caught the Ki-Blade of Cell. He opened his eyes to meet Cell's, both of them glaring at one another then jumping away from one another. They vanished once more, reappearing and vanishing with each strike they traded. All the while Piccolo was watching on with a glare.
'...If you're going to do something Goku, you best do it now.' Piccolo thought, their previous conversation coming to mind.
(Flashback)
"What did you say?" Piccolo asked his oldest rival, making sure he was hearing right.
"Gohan's strong. Way stronger than me." Goku said with a smile. He was genuinely proud of his son and Piccolo could tell. "I guess because he's younger he's able to process it all a lot better. Man do I feel old."
"So...what exactly are you going to do then?" Piccolo asked. He wanted to know exactly where Goku was going with this and how it was going to affect his pupil. "Did you plan on making him face Cell?"
"...Honestly, I don't know." Goku said, going into a slump. "Gohan may be the only person who can actually defeat Cell, but..."
"But what?"
"...He's...not a fighter. At least, he doesn't like it. Not like I do." Goku said while the Namekian remained silent. "Though it's not like I can blame him. Every time he's ever trained, it's because we're in danger in some sort of way. I like it because it's what I grew up with and the dangers were something I grew used to."
"...You didn't tell Gohan, did you?" Piccolo asked.
"...No...I keep thinking about how happy he was today. Actually being...well a kid. I can't ask him to face Cell." Goku sighed out before gaining a small smile. "A lot of us are strong on our own, but I wanna have something just in case. And I need your help."
What on earth could this man have planned?
(Flashback End)
(Cell Games Arena)
'For Gohan's sake, I hope you know what you're doing Goku.' Piccolo thought, throwing his fist back and knocking out a soldier. He turned around to be greeted with groups of them rushing him, making him smirk. 'For now, I'll do my part.'
While he rushed into battle, he missed the sight of Gohan watching the battle from afar. He watched on with an unreadable expression before heading back out into the fight. There was much to be done after all.
(With Polar and Mira)
Mira grinned with glee as he dodged each and every Death Beam that Polar fired at him. The Frost Demon wasn't letting up either, letting loose a barrage of attacks that were far from weak. At the same time, he was only hitting after images at this rate and wasn't anywhere close to hitting his target.
"Come now! Don't tell me this is all that the Cold Bloodline can do!" Mira yelled out. It was at this moment however where a Death Beam went past his cheek, drawing a line of blood. "So you can hit something."
"Only when I want to." Polar responded back casually. However he was suddenly grabbed by his head and slammed into the ground.
"Don't act as though you have the advantage here. Your tricks are all, but a dry well at this point. My Potential will keep me growing at a rate that no other can keep up with." Mira said, pressing the Frost Demon into the ground.
"In my professional opinion, I disagree." Polar said, firing a wave of ki. Mira managed to avoid it while Polar got back up on his feet with his hand held out. The Demon found himself encased in a ball of ki that seemed to be shrinking. "Someone like you isn't all that intelligent. Least of all when it comes to battle."
Mira however only smirked as the ball suddenly cracked. Polar's eyes went wide before it suddenly exploded, blasting him across the field. He had to dig his hand into the ground in an attempt to recover himself. Too little too late though as Mira suddenly appeared behind him and delivered a barrage of kicks upon him. Despite his best efforts, Polar wasn't able to defend himself as Mira kept up his attack. Appearing and vanishing with each strike.
Not long after, Mira appeared in front of him and struck him across his face. Polar bounded off the ground before a ball of ki was slammed into his chest, sending him even further back. He stopped himself barely just in time for the Demon to appear before him. He attempted to fire a Death Beam, but Mira flipped right over him and kicked him hard enough to slam him into the ground. Not letting up, Mira yanked him up by his tail and uppercutted him away. Polar hit back first into the side of a mountain, unmoving, while Mira held out his hands.
"I wanted to see how you handle this. Perhaps you'll survive." A dark ball of energy formed in front of him. He smirked as it grew in size. "This is it. SERIOUS BOMB!"
The attack launched from him and toward the still unmoving Frost Demon. Consuming it and the mountain, the Serious Bom imploded and seemingly took everything with it. Mira looked proud of this, clenching his fist as power soared through him.
Then a Death Beam struck his chest.
"...What?" The attack did not damage, but Mira was still dumbfounded. He looked up to see a barely harmed Polar floating above him with a glare. "So you were hiding more power."
"And you've welcomed yourself to every little bit I can let out." Polar announced. Fist clenched, the Frost Demon let out a roar before being engulfed by a purple stream of light shooting out into the sky. Mira himself had to force himself to stand his ground, looking at the pillar of light with awe and excitement.
"Yes...SHOW ME YOUR TRUE POWER!" Mira yelled out, his own power exploding around him. He got his wish once the light faded and showed Polar with an Amethyst purple aura around himself and his red eyes now slited. 'His power...no doubt about it. Frieza's 100% form perfect and standing before me. You've surprised me with your power, but can you keep up? Can you help my evolution?'
"Those Saiyans. They've inspired me to make it this far. However, every bit of pain you'll be feeling from here on out will be because of me." Polar said, a solid glare coming across his face. Power exploded around him before he charged down. "NOW FACE YOUR JUDGMENT!"

Next Time on A Change in Time!
Hello! Superior Cell with a message. Goku has proven himself as expected, a warrior that can satisfy my need. No, my ambition to be the greatest! Though he's far more tricker than I would have liked. He's cooking up some kind of scheme yet I can't bring myself to actually stop him. Hmm? Oh! Now this is quite the development! I can't wait for this.
Last Resort of Goku! Who's Stepping Up?!
A/N: Well this is another short chapter, but I got enough done with it to be honest. Plus it was just fighting for the most part and I'm only showing so much because of what I have in store later. As for explanations, I really don't have much to say. Did I make Goku a bit better while making slightly out of character? No doubt? Regrets? None. I have no reason to add anything else on the matter.
Ignoring that for right now, Polar's 100% Form. Unlike Frieza who never trained in utilizing it, Polar's is mastered to the point where he won't be losing power with every second that passes. The idea merely comes from when Goku and Gohan showed off their Mastered Super Saiyan Forms and decided to do the same with his form. So no buff, no power loss, just a wide amount of power to use.
Side note on Mira, but he's currently using his Berserk Form from Heroes. That's all.

Ushindi: Cool short chapter! Polar against Mira, now that is exciting battle worth reading. I'm not surprised Cell would face Goku first, and Hercule doesn't count cause he's weak.

14. I'm wondering on what is Vegeta's reaction on seeing himself getting owned?
15. Here's an interesting thought, what if a Saiyan mates with a Tetramand and they have a child. And you know hybrids tend to be much stronger than both races, how strong do you this hybrid would be?
16. What if Raditz was with Goku on Earth? How do you think the changes would be?
17. If Bardock went Super Saiyan on the day when Frieza was about to destroy Planet Vegeta and kill all the Saiyan's, do you think Bardock would give Frieza a chance to transform or destroy him immediately?
18. Here's a crazy thought, what if Sasuke did kill Sakura and Naruto would be pissed at him for what he has done, would he let him live or kill him?
Answers: Thank you as usual.
1: Better than what most people make him out to be. He is portrayed as the most realistic version of a trainer compared to the ones we play out in games.
2: A little wild, but alright.
3: It's one of those, too little too late situations. Good, they did it, but what's the point now? They've been bumped down to side characters at this point and it feels like this only happened because they realized how silly it was to keep them children for this long when considering the timeline. Otherwise, I like their designs.
4: It's an upgrade at the very least. That's all I can say.
5: Steam...that's all I got for ya.
6: Natsu is the only one who would challenge them and get defeated. Otherwise, normal interactions in order to keep things fair while not making one seem unwanted compared to the other.
7: Z-Broly has a lot of mental issues and I don't mean him screaming Kakarot every chance he gets. Between technology suppressing not only his power, but his mind as well, along with said power proving that it corrupts his mind to finally being treated as nothing more than Paragus' tool. He needs all the help he could get, but I don't believe him to be a lost cause.
8: Kinda sorta.
9: Good, went in a great direction with how they treated both Sonic and Eggman while not truly betraying their characters within their current life. Donutlord isn't just a comedic sidekick for Sonic, but is actually treated like he's a part of the movie and not a tag along that gets in the way or somehow makes things worse. Overall, good.
10: Honestly yes. Though she does need to learn how to not be as clingy as she normally is.
11: I would assume that there would still be a limit. After all, infinite enegry doesn't mean that energy is the strongest. That was proven during the Cell/Android Saga. But they would have an edge over other Saiyans, not being able to get physically tired or having the need to rest/eat/drink would be something to take advantage of.
12: I don't blame you, but unlike Vegeta, Krillin damn sure made him disappear.
13: "Huh...I don't even remember half of those."
14: "...This variant of me is nothing short, but a mockery to the Saiyan Race. I refuse to be associated in the slightest. "
15: If they're compatible then there's a chance a strong child will be born. Extra limbs or normal, I can't say.
16: Quite literally the destruction of Earth. He was still a bad guy way back then.
17: If he had the power to do so, destroy him immediately. I've never actually seen him get overly cocky whenever it came to a powerful opponent.
18: I can't say for the writers, but that to me would be the last straw. Unironically, Sasuke never did kill anyone from the leaf as far as I can remember which helped his sentence. Of course I'm naturally biased towards Sasuke at the same time, so my words can't be trusted.
