Warning: The fight may be short due to the OST that will be played. Sorry I took long to write. I got distracted by playing some games like Bloodborne, Dark Souls III, and Code Vein. Now then, let's get on to the fight.
One more thing. I decided to put this story on Spacebattle. This is mainly due to the fact that not many people would read on the original site. Therefore, I decide to place it to another. I do remember placing this story on AO3, but I have some complication.
BTW, there won't be any fan service moments in this story. C'mon, I'm bad at doing that and it's going to ruin the mood and tone of the story. it's supposed to be a Lovecraftian Horror Story after all?
Fairyborne Sixth Hunt: Vicar Amelia
Wendy couldn't believe what she was seeing. In the middle of the room stood a beast. A beast that used to be a woman. She was still recalling what happened before the transformation and was too distracted by it.
Gideon, meanwhile, already got a hold of himself and turned to see the kid being very still. She was so still that she barely even noticed the beast crawling towards their position. He touched the young girl's shoulder and began to shake. "Hey, kid! Snap out if it!"
This didn't seem to get Wendy out of that state of shock for quite a while. Eventually, she felt someone shaking her and turned to see that the other hunter was shaking her. Her ears were still ringing from the shocking reveal, which seemed to die down. "Oi, kid! Can you hear me clearly!?"
"Y-Yes, Mr Gideon?!" She finally snapped back to her usual self, still looking at him in the eyes. Before he could answer, he wrapped his arms around her, and the two found themselves on the floor. She was about to ask why he did that, and the two heard the beast jumping towards where they were.
"Just focus on the beast, kid!" She immediately told her, grabbing his weapon and slung on his back. "Then we'll talk!"
The Young Dragon Slayer immediately nodded her head in response. She, too, did the same thing. "O-okay, Mister Gideon!"
The other Hunter looked at her with a bit of irritation. "You can just call me just either Gideon or Mister, alright?" She quickly nodded her head.
They had their weapons in their hands, and both looked at the recently transformed beast as they readied themselves to hunt the prey that was fighting in front of them. Wendy was hesitant about the fight as is about to partake in.
Insert Bloodborne OST: Cleric Beast
The beast slammed its free hand down to the ground before letting out an earful scream. Seeing the two hunters before her, she used her left hand to knock them down with a swipe. Unfortunately for her, they slide backwards to safety. Very soon, Gideon slides towards where the beast is and lands a blow on its arm. He retreated back to where the girl was at. Obviously, this made Wendy shout out about what he would do. "Are you crazy?!"
He just looked at her without any expression. "Like I said before, it's either us or the beast!" He saw the Beast approaching them rather quickly. "Focus on just surviving!"
The young Dragon Slayer nodded. As the Beast approached their position, she had no choice but to dodge the attack and swing her weapon onto the left arm. The Creature shrieked at the cut made by her. In retaliation, it scratched the floor towards where she was. The Young Dragon Slayer. She managed to avoid it, but her hair bun was caught onto one of its nails.
Wendy felt her long hair flowing through her back. She didn't have time to think about that as the Beast approached her and slid backward multiple times while avoiding swipe attacks that she made. When it stopped, Wendy used this chance to swipe her weapon onto her curled-up left hand. Although she did it, she wasn't quick enough to be punched to the floor by the Beast's exact same hand. Before it could attack her again, the young Hunter quickly got to her feet and slid towards safety. She let out a breath of relief. "If I was there, I'd be dead. It would have been much easier." This made her wonder if her strength wasn't affected like her Magic Powers.
The Beast saw the girl still. It brought both hands together and was held in the air. Just as it managed to land a blow, it let out an animalistic scream as it felt multiple cuts on its left leg. The girl looked at who had done it. She was about to open her mouth; Gideon had just warned her. "MOVE NOW!"
She didn't need him to repeat it again. She immediately went to safety and saw the Beast slamming its combined hands to the ground. Besides, she was relieved that she managed to dodge a fatal attack but didn't have time to catch her breath. She took a few steps back due to the Beast lunging towards her in an attempt to bite her. Seeing how relentless the enemy got her a bit irritated. "Just give me time to breathe!"'
The Creature tried to lunge towards her, but she caught a few breaths. Yet right before it could do so, it felt a powerful slice on its back. "Oi, you!" It turned towards the back to see Gideon with his transformed weapon in its cleaver form. "Try shifting your attention to someone else, will ya?!"
The Beast momentarily stared at him. Without time to think of what happened next, it lunged to where he stood and opened its mouth to bite him. Like the other Hunter, he slid to the left to avoid the attack. He aimed his pistol and shot as the head was at the same height level. The monster stumbled backwards a little, which caused the gigantic being to be temporarily stunned. Gideon saw this and immediately knew what to do.
He rushes toward the head of the Beast. Dropping his weapon to the ground, he grabbed onto the flesh of the left side of its face. Like the others he had done earlier, he ripped off a chunk of meat. The Beast staggered backwards in the aftermath of this attack. As this happened, he saw Wendy swing her weapon a few times before walking to his left side. The Young Dragon Slayer was out of breath as she found this exhausting. "Just…. just how long until this beast is no more?"
"A couple more swings could probably do the job," Gideon answered, feeling the same way as her. "All that is left is to—"
Both Hunters heard the Beast screaming again. They turned to where it stood and didn't expect what was about to happen. Instead of erratically attacking them, it put both hands like a prayer. Suddenly, a bright light seemed to surround her. Wendy's eyes widened since it was familiar to her. "What-WHAT?! SHE CAN HEAL!?"
Gideon immediately turned to her upon hearing the statement. "Wait, what did you say?!"
The cuts made by the two had seemingly vanished when she finished praying. By the looks of things, her prayer had helped her heal her wounds. Even the missing chunk of flesh has been completely healed. Now, the male Hunter wanted to change how this turned out. "You've got to be joking?
Wendy couldn't find the right words to display. All that work was for nothing. "What are we going to do now!?"
"What Hunters are meant to do," she heard Gideon declare, reading his Saw Cleaver to resume fighting. "We hunt our prey no matter what the odds are." Soon after, he rushed towards where the Beast was at.
All Wendy could do was shake her head. "This won't end well. Well, I cannot complain right now." She could aid the other Hunter in the battle. Then probably, both she and Gideon could have
The Other Hunter dodged a swing from the Beast. But he needed to be faster in time as he got hit by the backhand of the left hand. It seemed to momentarily faze him, which would almost be fatal if the Beast didn't turn its thought to the other Hunter, who threw a small pebble of rock at its face. "Kid!"
The Young Hunter didn't look at him as she readied up to distract the large Beast. "Just do what you have to do! I'll divert its attention!"
Already, he didn't like what she had stated. But it doesn't matter. The Beast in front of them is becoming quite the pest to handle. "Alright. If that's your wish…" He began to head behind the Beast's back to deliver some blows. "I hope you know what you're doing, kid."
With the Beast walking towards the Young Dragon Slayer, it swung both arms in her direction multiple times. Moving backwards to avoid the attacks made, she began to think about how Erza handles herself in these types of situations. As far as she knows, the most potent member would usually use her magic and swords to care for the monsters she'd encountered. This monster in front of her was different. She cannot fathom the fact that she has to kill another human for the sake of Gideon's life and herself. Right now, survival is a top priority.
The Other Hunter was doing his own thing. He swung his weapon, and midway through, he transformed it from his saw into the Cleaver. This is really effective as it causes the Beast to get stunned. He was starting to get tired. "Need to end this fast." Gideon was about to slide to safety when the Beast used its claws to scratch him, causing him to shriek in pain. It wasn't as fatal as it seemed, although it would have killed him if he didn't return to his feet and slid to safety.
"Damnit, I wasn't quick enough." He told himself, disappointed that he was caught off guard. He brought two Blood Vials, injected them into his right thigh, and tossed them aside. Now he was no longer feeling the pain since the wounds, and his attire had been restored. "That's better—"
Again, he needed to be faster as the Beast was near where he stood. It was about to use its sharp claws to attack it when it was quickly intercepted by the other Hunter, who swung her Saw Cleaver towards its right hand. "Are you alright?"
Gideon grunted in response. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for the save, kid."
She was glad to hear that. "You are welcome, Mister." Now they can only focus their concentration on the Beast. She and the other Hunter readied themselves wither their Saw Cleavers to continue their battle. Both of them slid in different directions to evade a leap attack. Gideon saw a window of opportunity to inform Wendy of their actions. "Kid! Just focus on hitting her left leg and arm. I'll do the same on the right."
Wendy clearly heard what he ordered her to do, thanks to her enhanced Dragon hearing. She quickly nodded in his direction. "Right. I got it!"
The Beast got closer to where they stood, and both nodded at each other before doing what they had organised. The Young Hunter slid to the opposite side whenever its free hand slammed towards where she once stood. She seemed to be a bit faster than Gideon due to her small stature. When the Beast stopped attacking, she and the other Hunter were at each side. They set to execute their plan.
They began to swing their weapon relentlessly without throwing any chance of putting the Beast down. Hitting both the Beast's Arms and legs worked as it was slow to progress with the number of injuries it endured and was continuing to shriek in pain.
Gideon and Wendy were breathing heavily from the strikes they dealt to the Beast. Seeing their prey be momentarily immobile, both already knew what the following action to take was. Gideon was the first to regain a bit of stamina. He quickly walked towards the creature's side and lifted his weapon up in the air. In the next second, he felt a hand wrapping around his body. The next thing that happened was the Beast throwing him across the room, which knocked him out cold.
Wendy saw this. Unfortunately, like him, she too felt a singular hand be wrapped around her body before being tossed towards where the other was lying. Fortunately for her, she wasn't knocked out and landed near the unconscious Gideon.
Getting to her knees, she shook him multiple times to wake him up. "Hey, Mister! Ger up! Please get up!" She continued shaking him and quickly shifted her gaze to the Beast that was quickly running to where they were. This only made the Young Dragon Slayer panic. She had no weapon on her as hers was on the other side. She could attempt to use the Other Hunter's weapon, though it would be inefficient.
Her ears caught the sound of beings she had heard not so long ago. She looked at the floor to see those Messengers again carrying a large gun and a single Quicksilver Bullet. Although she didn't know how to fire one properly like Alzack or Bisca, Wendy knew that time wasn't in her favour. Grabbing both objects off from, those grotesque creatures, she put the bullet into the gun before aiming it towards the Beast that was near.
She was shaking a lot, but her survival instincts were kicking in.
Impulsively, as the Beast approached Wendy, she immediately pulled the trigger. Her aim was uneven, but it hit it directly on the head, which caused it to fall to the ground. Seeing the chance to put it to rest, Wendy grabbed Gideon's Saw Cleaver and jumped on top of its head. Her bangs shadowed her eyes, and she gritted her teeth at what she would do. "I'm so sorry." She quietly muttered to the Beast.
Lifting the Blade of the Saw Cleaver a bit, Wendy stabbed the weapon into the Beast's head. It screamed in pain and agony. It tried to shake the girl off, but she tightly held onto the weapon's handle. This seemed to last for a while until the Beast stopped moving. A few seconds passed, it dropped dead onto the ground, and all of its blood splattered everywhere in the room.
Bloodborne OST Ends
Wendy found herself standing on the floor and stared blankly at the blood-soaked Golden Pendant lying on the floor. Fresh blood dripped on the blade's edge, yet it didn't catch the Young Dragon Slayer's scent. She seems to not care that she is covered in much blood. She was too hooked on what she had done.
She has taken a life away. Even though the woman was nothing more than a mere beast that had to be put down to end its misery. Still, she felt some regret for doing such a thing. She felt a hand on her left shoulder and looked up to see Gideon, who was awake and holding his left side. "Kid, you save me again. Thank you."
Wendy smiled sadly. "Thank you, Mister Gideon…." She looked back at the bloodied Pendant and thought about what she had just done. "I…I can't believe that…"
"I know." She heard Gideon speaking to her in a sympathetic tone. His eyes were giving looks of pity towards her direction as well. "You did what you had to do for the sack of your own survival."
"I see." She unsteadily responded back to him. Wendy gripped her left wrist with her right hand as she thought of what could have allowed the woman to unwillingly transform into a beast. "If that woman transformed, does…. does that mean…...?"
Gideon clearly knew where Wendy was going towards. Though that doesn't mean that he may all be right just yet. "If it's had to with the Blood transfusion, then yeah. Although I may be incorrect here. But we, Hunters, are immune to it."
Wendy did a double take of what she heard. She was both shocked and scared at the moment. "W-wa-wa-wait, what did you say?!"
The other Hunter was aware that she didn't take this too kindly. "Hunters like me and you are immune to the transformation into Beasts. As I said before, I am not entirely correct if it's true."
The Young Dragon Slayer cannot believe what she hears. Gideon may not be entirely right with his words, but the woman's beastly transformation is related to the Blood transfusion she had before. "No… It…It can't be. That means that you and I…"
"Kid," She was interrupted by Gideon, who wanted her to calm down. "I know this is a lot for you to take in. But…" Both he and Wendy saw a lamp that appeared suddenly in the middle of the room. "You should probably head back to the Dream and calm down there."
"What are you going to do?" She asked him. He pointed towards the Alter, and her eyes shifted towards a bestial skull on the table. "Oh, I see. I'll be taking my leave now." The other Hunter nodded to her. She walked towards the lamp and knelt. Wendy had vanished in a glow of purple light.
Gideon exhaled loudly to himself, thinking of what had transpired. Wendy may have been a kid and had been through rough times before, but to actually have her first ever kill. He knew it would take time for her to recover from that experience. "I need to check up on her after this."
Walking towards the Alter and picking up Wendy's Saw Cleaver and the Golden Pendant on the way, Gideon was near where the skull had sat. Looking at it for a few seconds, he pondered at the thought of having some questions answered about the Healing Church. He wasted no time in touching the object of interest.
His left hand was reaching towards the skull. And as he managed to touch it into one of his fingertips. Upon doing so, he was soon given a vision of the memories that once belonged to this skull.
-?-
"Master Willem, I've come to bid you farewell." A young voice of a man called out to an old man, who sat on a rocking chair while whacking a golden staff onto his right hand.
"Oh, I know, I know. You think now, to betray me." The other man, Master Willem, seems to be old yet he had quite an arrogance in his tone. His entire face cannot be seen as he was wearing a blindfold and a cap that covered the top half of his head.
"No, but you will never listen. I tell you; I will not forget our adage." The younger dismissively told Willem.
All of a sudden, the other man began to mumble something. It was as if he was reminding the other person about his teaching. "...We are born of the blood, made men by the blood, undone by the blood. Our eyes are yet to open..."
"Fear the OLD BLOOD." Both Willem and the other Man finished the sentence that the former had mumbled.
Once was that over, the over man bid farewell to the other man. "I must take my leave."
the door opened and the person then shut it as he exited the room. After he left, Willem began to mutter to the person that had just left. "By the gods, fear it, Laurence."
Jesus, that took long enough to write down. And hey, the First Ever Boss in Bloodborne that Wendy has killed. Though I can imagine her being traumatised by it due to the transformation and how the Blood is the source of it.
Next chapter will be a relaxing one. You may like it or not. But I want to say this for my story.
Fairyborne's plot has gone deeper into the Truth of what the Healing Church and Master Willem had done that caused the fuckup in Yharnam.
I apologise if there is any error seen in the story. I wanted to publish another chapter since I feel like Fairyborne deserves another this month. I want to complete this story so bad, no matter how long it take.
Do not worry, I am going try improving my writing to make it more interesting to read. Oh, and people are complaining about this story, then jokes on you. I write what I like writing.
With that, I will see you all in the next chapter…whenever it will come.
