The End of the Androids! The Beginning of a Bright Future!
(Capsule Corp, Underground Basement)(Age 785)
"...Okay." Bulma said calmly as she sat across from the trio. Beside her were Tights and Launch, currently in her blue haired state, all looking at their children with blank expressions.
"Okay? That's all you have to say?" Ranch asked, disbelief across her face.
"Honestly, between everything that's happened these past years, this is honestly tame in comparison." Tights admitted with a small shrug.
"It's a shame that Goku decided to not come back. I will never understand that boy." Launch admitted with a sigh. However a smile came on her face right after as she looked at them. "But I am happy you finally got to meet your fathers!"
'Leave it to mom to find the bright side of everything.' Ranch thought before speaking. "Well my father was clearly the best."
"Excuse me? Last I checked my father still existed." Corvus said.
"Last I checked, he wasn't a Super Saiyan 2." Ranch shot back with a smirk.
"Funny, I can say the same about you." Corvus said with his own smirk.
"Oh you didn't just go there."
"I did."
Trunks watched them bicker with a sweatdrop, knowing he would get stares if he said anything for his father. His mother seemed to notice and gave him a weak smile, making him force out a chuckle.
"I take it Vegeta put you through the ringer?" Bulma asked, seeing her son nod. "Guess that's expected. He was always prideful when it came to a lot of things. That goes for you as well."
"Trust me, I understand. Father may have been...a challenge at first, I know he cares for us." Trunks said with confidence.
"Tch. You and dad were embarrassing if I'm being honest." Ranch said while glancing over her mother.
"Oh dear, that's a parent's job." Launch said without so much of a regret.
"I thankfully wasn't subjected to hearing my parents go at it at night." Corvus muttered.
"I still can't believe your father is with another woman. Good thing you were still born though, gotta thank me for that." Tights said.
"Yeah...too bad I still had to hear these two go at it." Corvus said, pointing a finger at Trunks and Ranch. Furious blushes across on their faces while Bulma and Launch cheered.
"FINALLY!"
"It isn't like that at all!" Trunks exclaimed, red in the face.
"Yeah! Worst we did was almost kiss-SHIT!" Ranch cursed, realizing her slip. Instead she focused her eyes on Corvus and snapped on him. "You just had to say something, didn't you!"
Uncharastically, Trunks was also glaring at Corvus, making him sweat a bit from their combined anger. He wanted payback for Ranch's comment on having future children and this was what he got! 'What the hell did I do to deserve this!'
Thankfully he was saved by the radio. "The Androids have begun attacking Parsley City! I repeat, the Androids have begun attacking Parsley City!" The mood changed upon hearing the news, with the older women looking at their children with worried expressions. As for the future trio, they immediately got nex to one another with Corvus and Trunks placing their hands on Ranch's back.
"There's no time to waste, we're going now." Trunks said.
"I'm really going to enjoy this." Ranch declared.
"Can you hurry up? I actually want this done and over with already." Corvus said.
"You three..." Bulma muttered while looking at the trio. For a moment she saw them as their bloodied forms from when they fought the Androids previously. Yet it was quickly overwashed with the grown warriors before them. A smile made it on her face as did for Launch and Tights. "You better be home in time for dinner."
"We will, mother. Take care." Trunks said with a smile. Without another word, Ranch focused on the closest life signature in Parsley City before using Instant Transmission and teleporting them away.
(Parsley City)
Chu and 18 watched on with scowls on their faces as they watched 17 fire endless ki-blast amongst the screaming populace. For Chu it was because of how long it was taking annoyed with 17's sick games whenever he decided to go on killing sprees. It was a waste of time to her.
18 was only mad because he blew up several stores she never had the chance to explore.
"Can you hurry up and kill them already?" Chu snarled out.
"Oh come on, Chu. Learn to live a little." 17 said, stopping his assault for a moment. "If you don't like it so much then you can just leave, you know."
"My objective-Is to watch over us, we know." Chu turned to glare at 18, who had interrupted her. "You know we really don't need a babysitter."
"I beg to differ." Chu said with distaste.
"Wow, now you're just killing my mood." 17 said, releasing a dramatic sigh. "Just for that, I'm gonna pick them off one by one."
"Ugh. If this is all you're gonna do today then I might as well try out another city for myself to destroy." 18 said annoyance laced in her voice. "Maybe even find myself a new toy to play with~"
"Hell. No." 17 said, disgust coming across his face. "I had to learn you were a screamer because you brought your animal back to our home. Glad I killed him too."
"Oh. That's why I destroyed your gamer room." 18 said, almost mockingly.
"And my mood is worse now!" 17 exclaimed, waving his hands up. Once he calmed down he glanced around in annoyance. "Where are those punks anyway?"
"Who? The Aliens?" Chu asked in disgust. She had wanted to kill them for the longest time, defined in favor of keeping the teens happy.
"Yeah them. Normally they're here by now." 17 pointed out with a frown.
"Maybe they finally got the hint." 18 said, a sick smirk coming across her face. "We should go pay them a visit or better yet that Bulma woman. It'll be a fun way of bringing them out."
"Oh you don't need to do that." The Androids turned around in surprise to see Corvus, Trunks and Ranch standing behind. All there were already Super Saiyan, giving them harsh glares as Corvus went on. "We're right here"
"Yeah we can see that...hey did you get taller or something?" 17 asked, tilting his head.
"Forget it, I say we kill them already." 18 said, gaining her sick smirk.
"...Something's not right." Chu said, glancing at the trio with unease. There was a difference between cockiness and confidence, these three holding the latter. However she shook her head and kept her glare upon them. Specifically Corvus. 'No. I'm Dr. Gero's chosen! I won't let his last mission be threatened any longer!'
Without another word she lunged forward with her pointed out, having the full intention of ripping out Corvus' heart. She plunged her hand forward only to be shocked that she didn't pierce his skin. Not only that, but she hadn't even made him move an inch. Corvus glanced down at her, making her feel extremely small in comparison.
"Hey, are you playing around or something Chu?" 18 asked, completely oblivious to the Android's thoughts.
Chu scowled as jumped back before she suddenly found herself held in place. In a quick motion, Corvus ripped off her entire arm from her body. Pain exploded throughout her body as she let out a wail of pain while 17 and 18 looked on in horror.
"W-what the hell!" 17 exclaimed while 18 was completely frozen.
Corvus stared down upon Chu without any shred of mercy. Instead he used her arm to land a slap hard enough to send her to the ground and silence her. Chu tried to stand herself up, but was kicked up and sent flying past the other two Androids. She crashed into a building as it crumbled on top of her.
"You two have fun. I'm not done with her yet." Corvus said casually before taking off. The Androids themselves were too stunned to actually stop him, leaving them at the mercy of Trunks and Ranch.
"Dibs on Blonde." Ranch said, already walking towards them. Trunks remained silent, glaring over at 17 while preparing his move. "Don't tell me you're afraid already?"
That seemed to get 17 and 18's attention as they settled for glaring at them. 17 went to move, but suddenly found himself kicked in his face and sent flying on his back. Glancing up he saw Trunks above and a ki-wave right afterwards. It pierced through his stomach as an explosion insured, completely destroying him and leaving nothing behind.
"17!" 18 cried out, rushing at Trunks with nothing more than pure hatred. However Ranch suddenly appeared in front of her with her hand held out. Her eyes widened ever so slightly before she was completely annihilated by the blast.
"...Tch." Ranch scoffed, glancing at her hand and looking away. "Looks like I went overkill. I didn't even go at full power either."
"You can't say that's a bad thing, can you?" Trunks asked.
"No, I can't. Still wanted to make sure she suffered." Ranch admitted without a care. "Then again, I'm sure they'll have plenty of fun in hell."
"Only one left now." Trunks said.
"Not for much longer." Ranch added on.
Chu pushed herself up from the debris and slowly crawled her way out. Upon standing up she realized that Corvus was already in front of her and jumped back in shock. However a swift foot implanted itself into her stomach and slammed her up against a building. She looked up weakly and tried to fire an attack, but Corvus cut off the remaining her with a ki-blade. Panic spread across her face as she backed up until Corvus closed and beheaded her in a single blow. He stepped back and looked at the Android's corpse for all, but a second before finally wiping her out with one final wave of ki.
"Good riddance." He had no intention of keeping this going longer than it needed to. It wasn't long before Trunks and Ranch joined him, each sporting their own smiles. "And 17 and 18 are gone too."
"Was there any doubt?" Ranch asked with a scoff.
"They weren't a challenge." Trunks said. "At least not anymore."
"Yeah...though we're still not done yet." Corvus added on. It was clear he was talking about Cell, something that his friends caught on with their frowns showing. "We may have some time before he arrives, but this isn't over until he's gone for good."
"Agreed." Trunks said.
"As if he could take even one of us now." Ranch said, only to wither at the glances sent her way.
"None of that. It's because we allowed ourselves to be caught off guard that Cell got as far as he did in the past." Trunks scolded, making Ranch feel extremely small.
"S-sorry!" Ranch said, looking away quickly.
"...She has a point though." Corvus admitted, catching them off guard. "Cell isn't going to be much of a threat to us. Not that we should take him lightly, but I'm not gonna be cowering under him if I can take him out in one shot."
"Even so, it'll be better if we prepare for him...whenever he arrives." Trunks said thoughtfully.
"Whatever. It's not like it's gonna take forever...right?" Ranch asked, unsure.
"...Didn't you discover where Gero's hideout is?" Corvus asked, turning to Trunks who blinked in realization.
"Oh...that's right. We can destroy him right away." Trunks said while slapping his own head.
"If he hadn't moved anywhere. Wasn't that Chu girl supposed to be Cell's helper or whatever?" Ranch pointed out, earning sighs from them.
"Damn. Well if he was moved, then we either need to find him or wait for him to pop out." Corvus said while rubbing his head. He really, really hoped this wasn't gonna take long.
(West City, Capsule Corp)(3 Years Later)
Three years had passed since the destruction of the Androids. It was unknown to the world as to why the Androids had suddenly disappeared, but they were grateful all the same. It took months before Earthlings had accepted the Androids gone and had started rebuilding their world. With such a low population of people now, many were forced to gather together in the major cities in order to properly rebuild themselves. Thankfully with the return of Capsule Corp, this made the process significantly easier for them.
Now there was only one last threat that remained on their planet.
'Those brats.' Cell thought with a hiss as he peaked around the corner. He currently had his own power reduced to the lowest point, something that was currently easy to do within his imperfect form. 'It had to be them! They're the only ones who could have taken my Androids out!'
Currently he was looking at Bulma Briefs standing in front of some sort of machine while the three Hybrids awaited in front of her. They were all wearing Battle Suits similar to Vegeta while Bulma was in her normal jumpsuit.
"You sure you don't want to come with us? It'll be an awesome opportunity to meet everyone again, won't it?" Ranch asked, confusing Cell slightly.
"Nope. You're the time travelers here, not me." Bulma said while shocking the Bio-Android completely.
'WHAT! A Time Machine? This...this is what I need! I can kill those three and take it for myself!' Cell thought with a sick grin on his face. He could achieve his goal! His purpose! 'These three can perish with their current power level. A mere sneeze would be more than enough to end them and then no one will stand in my way!'
"Oh wait, I have to get the fuel! Be right back!" Bulma yelled before running back inside. Once she was out of sight, Corvus turned his gaze towards where Cell was and called him out.
"Cell! Get your ass out here already!" Cell froze at being caught, wondering how they sensed his presence. However rather than freak out, he stepped out while gazing down at them. "Holy shit, you are actually Fugly!"
"Wow...I could have gone my life without seeing you like...this." Ranch said, her face green upon looking at him.
"Told you." Trunks said with a frown while looking at Cell.
"How...how the hell do you know about me?" Cell asked, clearly annoyed with them.
"We'll get into that in a moment. We have something far more important to talk about." Corvus said.
"We know about your plan for the Androids. Or rather what's left of them." Trunks began to explain while Cell listened on in shock. "You wanted to absorb them and achieve your perfect form that Gero promised to you."
"And now you're thinking you can just kill us off and take the Time Machine we've laid out before you." Ranch pointed out, giving him a pointed glare. "Don't even try that Solar Flare move either. It ain't gonna save you from us."
'Damn it.' Cell thought while shaking.
"However, we are not completely brain dead either." Corvus pointed out, catching Cell's attention. "We know you were created without a choice and to serve under Gero. Same thing for the Androids. Unlike them however, we're giving you the chance for another path."
"To put it simply, we're offering the chance for you to surrender yourself and keep your life intact." Trunks added on, surprising Cell. Diplomacy was the last thing he was expecting if he was being honest upon looking at the trio. "Your programming for finding the Androids and your natural evil Nature will be changed interiorly. You'll have your memories retained and you can still fight. Just not for the sake of proving yourself at others expense."
"If not, we blast your mug off the face of the planet." Ranch growled. "So what's it gonna be? New life or getting destroyed?"
"...Heh. You think you can actually beat me?" Cell asked mockingly. He allowed his power to flow freely, his hands held up and energy built around them. "Your power is nothing compared to my own! All you are is just snacks compared to the main course. Take pride in knowing that you'll be part of me! The Perfect Lifeform!"
"...Tch. So much for that." Corvus said, uncaringly. He lifted his hands up with a small glare. "Okay, out of the city you go."
"Wha-" Cell suddenly found himself propelled off the ground and flying out in the distance against his own will.
"This is gonna be overkill." Corvus said, not surprised with how easy Cell was blown away.
"But extremely therapeutic." Ranch said with a bloodthirsty grin.
"...For the future." Trunks declared, taking off after Cell to not lose him. Corvus and Ranch followed suit, debating on exactly how to end Cell.
Meanwhile Cell was far off in the distance and close to the ocean. He was completely shocked by what just happened. Realization dawned on him that they were hiding their power this entire time, making him shake. However he shook it off, believing that he could still beat them.
He brought out all of his power to make sure it was known. The trio soon caught up to him, stopping just across from him. "Don't think just because you caught me off guard that it means you can kill me!"
'How cocky can he be? Must be the Vegeta in him.' Corvus thought.
"Can we kill him already?" Ranch asked. Corvus didn't respond, only turned Super Saiyan with Trunks and Ranch following suit. Cell's eyes went wide at feeling the display of power wash over his own.
"What...what is this!" Cell snarled, hating the smug expressions on their faces.
"The result of hard work." Corvus said simply while his grin grew. "And do you wanna know the best part? Even if you had absorbed 17 and 18, you would have never been able to beat us. Least of all me."
Before Cell could react Corvus transformed into Super Saiyan 2, almost blasting away his friends.
"HEY! Watch it!" Ranch yelled.
"You're just showing off now." Trunks said with a chuckle.
"...What...?" Cell muttered out, terror finally taking hold. These...these aren't the weaklings he assumed to be. These were people with power. Power that could end him! "W-wait! I'll take your offer! I'll allow you to change me! F-for the better!"
"Too late. We gave you the chance earlier and you wasted it." Trunks said darkly while watching Cell's shaking form. However instead of attacking, he turned to his friends while offering a smile. "Anyone of us can take him out and we wasted enough time on him. Why don't we just end him together."
"That...is complete overkill. Let's do it." Ranch agreed.
"He does have Piccolo's regeneration. Might as well make sure he can't come back." Corvus said thoughtfully. "...Alright, just to be safe. Least this way, we don't have to fight about the kill."
Cell's terror only grew as he watched the trio hold out their hands towards him. Immediately, he turned his back towards them and dashed up for the sky. He thought that just maybe, maybe he could get off world fast enough before-
Then all he knew was pain.
"GAAAAAA!" Cell screamed out in pure and utter agony as he was consumed by the combined blast. Death came the second after, his entire body reduced to nothing.
Cell was gone...it was anticlimactic.
"Well...that's over." Ranch said with her friends nodding. "...I don't know about you two, but I'm starving."
"If there was a moment, it's ruined." Corvus sighed while getting a glare from Ranch.
"The hell is that supposed to mean!" Ranch yelled only for Corvus to swiftly take off. "HEY! GET BACK HERE ASSHOLE!"
"CATCH ME FIRST!" Ranch immediately chased after him with a vengeance, leaving Trunks alone. He chuckled briefly before glancing up at the sky, a wide smile growing on his face.
'I hope you're watching us, Gohan, Father, everyone. We won't allow the Earth to fall. Not while we're still here.' Trunks thought happily. He then turned around and dashed away, hoping that he could make it to lunch before it was all eaten.
Peace was attained for now, but it wouldn't last. That was a fact, not just for Earth, but for everywhere in the Universe. However the warriors of Earth will do all in their power to ensure to protect their home. If not, they know they can always head back to another time should they ever need assistance. For now though, it was time for rest.
(Chapter End)
Next Time on A Change in Time!
It's Polar. Cell's Games have come to an end and things seem peaceful. For now, anyway. Who knows when the next threat is gonna appear. Right now, I'm tired of living out and about. I need my own place. I could always go to the Briefs for...Oh? A Tournament in honor of Satan's Defeat over Cell? Winner gets to face Hercule himself…Hello misplaced aggression.
Next Time: Tournament of Hercule? Unbound Hatred!
A/N: Done. Not as fast as I wanted, but IRL stuff got me busy.
Explanations...well there really isn't any. The Androids of the Future are much weaker in comparison to the ones in the past, they're pretty much the same as cannon. That goes for Future Cell as well. As you're also aware, Trunks, Ranch and Corvus are well beyond the original Trunks' power level. In conclusion, it was overkill from the start.
As for the small bit towards Cell and trying to get him to surrender; he didn't TECHNICALLY do anything wrong yet. Least in my story. It makes sense that if the Androids of the past can be allowed to redeem themselves, Cell should be given the same offer. Even if he wouldn't take it at all.
That's everything so I hope you enjoyed it, that you return for more and overall that you have a great day. Until next time we meet!
Reviews
Denisegalante1009: Have you seen the new Legend a Dragon Ball tale fan film? Idle so what did you think?
Answer: No, I haven't, though apparently it's really good from what others have told me.
denisegalante1009: Do you think you might use Shula,Melee, and Gola since they are residents of the Demon Realm and that they seem to be loyal to Dabura as they were looking for him in DBZ Dokkan Battle's story mode?
Answer: I'll be honest with you, I forgot Dokkan had a story. They haven't updated it in forever at this point. Regardless, I don't think I'll be using them for the story. While it would be good to bring them in, too many characters at once can cause a lot of problems.
denisegalante1009: Two questions.
do you think of the story ode in Xenoverse 2's new DLC?
Rukido is married to Tights and Vegeta is married to Bulma since Tights and Bulma are sisters would that mean that Rukido and Vegeta are brothers in law?
Answers:
1 Love it. It's the kinda chaos in the time stream we should have gotten back in base game. What I loved even more is the small choice we got between having Goku or Vegeta transform against Baby, and damn did they do Vegeta justice during that scene.
2: Yes. It is a very...strange family and it's gonna get even stranger.
denisegalante1009: What do you think of the new trailer for Xenoverse 2's new DOC?
Answer: Epic.
reader2020italia: Will you had some arcs of dragon ball gt in the story or are only focusing on dragon ball super and xenoverse.
Second do you think you could make a dragon ball super and ben 10 crossover story.
Answer: It would be a crime if I ignored GT at all. As for the Ben 10 and Super crossover, I will sadly have to decline. Mostly because I got my plate already set on stories, all of which that are gonna be long term like DB is currently.
denisegalante1009: What did you think of the latest episode of Ultra God Mission? Do you think you'll use Aeos and the warriors in black for this story? Also you can read the manga version of this on Mangavuddy if you're also interested in the manga.
Answer: Well thank ya for telling me that. As the newest episode, I liked it. They got Gohan with that Jiren back story though and I ain't a big fan of that.
Jeanne D'Arc My Waifu: well...what I don't like about this story is that I feel like you completely side-line rukido though 90% of the fic and there is far more screen time with the other Z-fighters then he has, and it's to the point where rukido is nothing more than a side-character Playing second fiddle with the rest of the cast with chronoa and tights being the exception as they have even less screen time than rukido.
My point is that for being the main character Rukido is nothing more than a glorified Side-Character that is the conclusion i came to reading up to this point.
Answer: Being honest, I honestly don't see it that way. Between Cooler, Meta-Cooler, Turles, I've been doing well in making sure there's a balance. I don't want to be one of those people that make it seem impossible for the main cast to get through the story without. I just show enough influence throughout the story to have cause and effect that's reasonable. Plus I don't want to take away moments like Frieza and Cell from other characters. Not to mention, I can't just bring in characters without good reason, such as the non fighting cast outside of talking or evacuating the area. I actually know a thing as a limit, unlike some shows.
