Please forgive me by not having this be a new chapter. I'd like to take this time to actually thank those who left reviews for this story and actually respond to some.

Guest/Helljumper206: Thank you! I've actually been conceptualizing this story for a real while but never actually got to writing it down.

Mobian/Helljumper206: This was actually one of the main problems I had when conceptualizing this story: characterization of Ruby. Was I gonna keep her as the optimistic and innocent Ruby from Volume 1 or a variant version of the Dick Grayson character during his solo runs. I decided to do a bit of both by having Ruby's attitude be different between her younger years of Robin and post Batman disappearance.

VxgonlaX: Not exactly. But I do plan on tackling "Death in the Family" comic, but in a different way than expected. Take into consideration that Ruby's nightmares shouldn't always be taken face value.

Guest: That's the plan! These omakes actually help me with both character development and world building. Additionally, it helps give the audience an idea who Ruby was during her early years as Robin.

RadBman21: Expect to see more character interactions in the future! I do plan on future interactions between Ruby and Blake since Weiss already had her share (But she isn't completely done yet!).

With that out of the way, I really encourage you to leave a review before or after reading the story. It really inspires me to make more time on writing this story, instead of just doing it in my free time. Expect chapter 9 to come out either this month or next month. Once again, thank you all for your support!

Here is a short preview for Chapter 9. Still a WIP and I plan to still change things.

A month had passed since team RWBY's first day of school. Since that time, everything was going quite well for Ruby.

Thanks to their one-on-one talk, Her and Weiss' relationship was slowly being patched up bit-by-bit. They occasionally traded notes and had study sessions with one another while occasionally giving tips and advice whenever they practiced combat with each other. Yang found it cute, while Blake was kinda baffled by it actually.

Speaking of which, nothing much changed with either girl. Yang was still the fun and loving sister that often teased Ruby at her social development. Blake was still fun to hang around with. She and Ruby would still found time to read and exchange selections of books and genres (with the exception of Blake's 'spicy' taste in literature).

With all that said, there was almost no other problem and mystery that needed to be resolved. Key word being 'almost', because there was still one more mystery that Ruby had yet to solve.

RIIIINNNGGG. "That's enough. Students, as you can see, Mr. Arc's aura has dropped into the red. In a tournament style duel, this would indicate Jaune is no longer fit for battle and the official may call the match. Mr. Arc, it's been weeks now. Please try to refer to your scroll in combat."

Who the hell was Jaune Arc?!

I do not own any of the characters. All characters and names used are owned by either Rooster Teeth and Detective Comics (DC).
