The scene was bittersweet this time at the apartment in Great Lake City as the Casagrande & Loud families dealt with Lincoln being elmininated while being proud of his performance and the relationships that he made while on the show. The Louds got to Lincoln's friends and they were on the same boat and checking out the finale as well with the same with Ronnie Anne asking her friends about what they thought.
They got ready to watch this episode.
A shot of Camp Wawanakwa is shown as Chris makes himself known; "A beautiful good morning in Ontario, Canada... We started out with 16 campers and through these weeks that number dwindled down to just 2! Who is going home with the prize money... The hipster girl turned commando Zoey or the homeschooled farm boy who surprised everyone by not getting kicked out first... Let alone making it to the finals Ezekiel!" Chris said as it shows Zoey doing push ups to prepare herself while Ezekiel was nervously doing star jumps. "Which one of our two finalists is going home with the money? What can we expect from the future? What gigs does my agent have for me next? Find out in this exciting finale of... Total... Drama... Island!"
"Time to watch Zoey take home the million." Lynn Jr said as they all made up who they thought was going to go home the winner in the episode.
The opening is shown.
They managed to have it in them to sing along.
Chris was seen next to the confessional as he smiled at the camera; "We have asked our finalists to record their final thoughts before their final competition... Finally." Chris explained.
"How would I describe my time here in the contest aye? Didn't handle it as well as I thought I would yo but I got friends to help me get through it and though the challenges were quite hard... I actually made friends!" Ezekiel said in the confessional.
"First of which was our Lincoln and he actually got you to get down from the idiot scale." Lori said and most giggled at Lori's words.
"My time here? I thought foolishly that everyone here would all be fast friends and so trying to make that happen was a let down but things got better... To find out that I and others were fooled by Lindsay but..." Zoey said in the confessional and sighed at the reminder of her desire for friends.
They were frowning at the reminder of how Zoey's story went in the show.
"Serving all those ungrateful campers... Wanting less rat droppings as if this was a five star resort... The time I saw the Hamsters guess what animal was made in a meat loaf, so insulting... Wish fat kid stayed longer as he was appreciative..." Chef muttered in the confessional.
They were grossed out at this; "He actually cooked with rat droppings?" Lynn Sr and Rita asked aghast as Lola was close to actually throwing up.
"Food... Unpleasant, if I am being honest... We did have that feast before the not falling asleep challenge..." Ezekiel said on the confessional.
They thought that the feast did look good; especially compared to the other food.
"Food was terrible but I stomached it... Especially the Brunch; while others chickened out; I took it on..." Zoey smirked in the confessional and sighed looking more like her normal self. "Okay... I may have puked my guts out when I got to the toilets after that Brunch challenge but I eat everything..." Zoey admitted.
"Looks like Commando Zoey isn't as unshakeable and unfeeling as she looked..." laughed Lynn Jr as they were ready to believe that Zoey would do that after the episode considering what was in that so called 'Brunch'.
"The people here? I think I didn't make the best first impression but they warmed up to me... Got to see that the girls weren't as helpless as dad said they would be, Dawn and Gwen ended up being very cool and I got to meet Lincoln my first and best friend! Buddy; I am winning for you!" Ezekiel said with a confident smile in the confessional. "But Lindsay..." Ezekiel said and made a disgusted look on her face.
They shook their heads at the reminder of Lindsay; "It is almost sad how confident he is that he coudl actually win..." Luan laughed and others joined in.
"Well he giving credit to Lincoln for helping him get this far." Carlos said.
"Everyone was... Fine for the most part... Lincoln and Dawn... Got to make close friends and Ezekiel didn't turn out too bad..." Zoey said looking more like her old self before becoming stoic and glared at the camera. "But Lindsay..." Zoey said as she put a kill motion with her finger underneath her neck.
More hints of the old Zoey and then the reminder of Lindsay again.
"What do I want to be remembered for? My personality!" Ezekiel said in the confessional as he made a confident pose.
"Well I will certainly remember his..." admitted Ronnie Anne with a laugh as others joined in.
"What do I want to be remembered for? My personality..." Zoey said in the confessional.
They thought that she certainly had a particular one after going into her 'Commando' persona.
At the starting line there were 2 sets of stands with pictures of Zoey and Ezekiel on them and the 14 eliminated campers were coming forward as Ezekiel and Zoey were standing together next to Chris.
"The losers are watching then..." Lynn Jr said as others beamed.
"This means that we can see more of Lincoln!" squealed Lily.
There was Tyler & Cody acting like cool playboys together whiel high fiving eachother, Lindsay who was walking from a distance from just about everyone in fear, Courtney who was glaring at everyone who was involved at the Playa De Losers episode and they looked nervous at her when they saw her and there was Lincoln hand in hand with both Gwen and Dawn.
They laughed at Courtney's glare and smiled at Lincoln in hand with his girlfriends.
Ezekiel waved to them and they waved back; "Good luck to you all!" Lincoln called out as Ezekiel grinned and Zoey tried to look stoic.
"May the Earth mother have fortune for you both!" Dawn shouted out.
"Do your best guys and especially good luck to you homeschool! Shocked you made it to here!" Gwen had shouted.
Smiles at the good losers they were being and giving encouragement to the finalists.
"Surprised he is in the finals and not me the Sha-star!" Lightning stated dumbstruck that Ezekiel of all people had made it to the finals instead of him.
Lynn Jr had to agree with him.
"I don't doubt that I would be there if I wasn't unfairly eliminated!" Courtney ranted with her arms folded as the majority of the eliminated campers were tense around her.
"She will never let them hear the end of it..." laughed Lori and the others.
"Okay campers... Before I start the challenge I need 6 volunteers! These 6 volunteers will be allowed to act to help or hinder our 2 finalists during this competition!" Chris called out as Lincoln got his arm up at the same time as Dawn.
"Definitely more LIncoln." Ronnie Anne as they smiled as Lily, Leni and CJ were glad that Dawn would be joining in.
"You know what... Why not..." Gwen said and put her arm up to join her boyfriend and his other girlfriend in taking part.
Ronnie Anne and Lucy smiled at seeing her joining in.
"Lightning is not being outshined in the finale!" Lightning said with his arm up as DJ and Courtney put up their arms as well.
"Might as well make my presence known in this finale!" Courtney said looking determined.
"Helping out any way that I can!" DJ said as Chris looked to the other ex-campers.
"So these 6 are taking part in a way..." Lynn Sr said as they wondered how this would go.
"Okay now to the rest of you go to the stand of the finalist you are rooting for and you will not be allowed to leave once the competition has started!" Chris shouted out and Ezekiel gulped as he saw that the rest went to sit in Zoey's stand and no one was sitting in his. Lincoln and Dawn did their best to give him encouraging looks but the rest of the volunteers didn't look like that they fancied his chances.
"Wow; everyone knows who is winning this..." Lynn Jr said as others couldn't help but feel pity for Ezekiel here.
"Oh... Looks like we have a clear favourite but let's start the final of Total Drama Island!" Chris said as he got the 2 finalists to come with him to 2 poles with flags at the top. "A 3 part final challenge: first part is to go up your pole and retrieve your flag. Only if you retrieve your flag can you continue on!" Chris said as Ezekiel gulped and Zoey looked serious.
"Best of luck Zoey..." Ezekiel told Zoey who gvae him a stoic look and nodded as if to say it back to him. Chris blew a whistle and Zoey went and easily climbed her pole and Ezekiel struggled to get up his.
"Come on Ezekiel... At least make this more fun..." Luan groaned as they thought that this finale was going to be a one sided victory that's not going to be so much fun to watch.
"Come on... At least make this a little challenging for me..." Zoey complained at the top of her pole as Lincoln and Dawn finally had enough and went ot help give Ezekiel a boost up his pole with DJ joining in with Ezekiel managing to climb up as the others just stared.
"He really does need all the help he can get." Carlotta sighed and others nodded.
"Dad is watching this at home and seeing that this homeschooled kid is in the finals and not his son..." Lightning groaned in the confessional.
"I would be embarrassed knowing this if I was in his position." Lynn Jr had to agree with him again.
"Watching Ezekiel struggle and realising that he outlasted me to get to the finals..." Courtney sighed in the confessional.

Ezekiel finally managed to get to the top and grabbed his flag and jumped down along with Zoey.
"Onto the next challenge!" Chris said having them come with him.
At the top of a cliff there was a plank to the other end of the cliffs with a nest of 2 eggs on it; "Down below are hungry sharks and your challenge is to take an eagle's egg and bring it to the other end of the cliff unharmed and then race to the finishing line. First one to cross is the ultimate Champion of Total Drama Island!" Chris explained as they looked up and saw a scary looking eagle with Ezekiel nervous as the helpers were open mouthed.
"A real eagle's egg..." Lana asked outraged as they were all wide eyed.
"I can only imagine Sam's reaction..." muttered Luna.
"You are sick..." Dawn glared at Chris and he grinned at her as if that was a compliment. He then had him go and Zoey ran to the nest and got her egg and started crossing the plank as Ezekiel nervously picked up an egg.
"I am going to help you Ezekiel; I am sorry but I don't trust that you won't break it and won't be pecked to death by an angry momma eagle!" Lincoln said going to the back of Ezekiel and helping him to steady it as DJ went to help him.
"Good thinking!" Rita said knowing that if her son didn't help out then they would probably see Ezekiel being killed there.
"Come on Ezekiel; you can do this..." DJ said going to the other side of Ezekiel as they carefully started walking the plank but it started moving. There was gulping but Courtney, Gwen and Lightning held onto the plank to keep it still.
"No way are we letting you all get killed!" Gwen called out as they were gratefuly as Zoey was almost done reaching end of the plank with her egg but then there was the eagle swopping down as Zoey began trying to push it away.
Dawn then ran the plank and held onto Zoey and got her egg; "Don't worry mother; you're offspring is safe with me... Trust me..." Dawn said soothingly as this seemed to satisfy the mother as she slowly walked the plank and put it at the nest along with Ezekiel putting his egg down as he reached the other end.
They smiled at the nice display especially Lana and Luna thought that Sam would be more of a Dawn fan now.
Ezekiel fell down tired as Zoey looked at Dawn gratefully for a second before running the plank and down the road to the finishing line.
"Is this how he loses?" Carlotta asked as they watched tensely.
"Come on homeschool... You made it this far and should at least give it more..." Lightning said as they tried to help Ezekiel up.
"Yes... You should have at least more to give!" Gwen told him.
"Come on Ezekiel... You surprised us before..." DJ said as they got him up on his feet.
Ezekiel looked nervous and worried about his chances but Lincoln looked at him in the face and said "at least give it all that you can Ezekiel; I am proud of your progress and I know that you can still end this contest fighting! Even if you don't win; you can at least be proud of giving it all that you can Ezekiel... Do your best for all of us who think that you can do more!" Lincoln said as Ezekiel looked at him and then sucked up his gut and then started running and thinking about all the encouragement that he got.
They were feeling proud of Lincoln for encouraging him to at least keep going and Carlos nodded pointing out all this time about how much Ezekiel has learned while under Lincoln's mentorship.
He then started running faster.
"So anyone think that he could actually win and be honest?" Gwen asked and the 7 helpers ended up shaking their heads with Lincoln, DJ and Dawn being the most reluctant. "Didn't think so..." Gwen muttered as they then began running to get a look.
They laughed at this.
Zoey was running but was shocked as she heard footsteps behind her and looked behind her as she looked behind her and saw Ezekiel giving it his all in his running to catch up with her. She ended up tripping into a bush and Ezekiel ended up doing the same. He then got out his swtichbalde and got them both free. "Thanks for giving this back..." Ezekiel said as he started running and Zoey was taken aback before resuming the chase.
"Well he is being a good sport..." Frida muttered.
There was the area of the finishing line with the 6 helpers/hinders taking a shortcut to get there before the finalists; they looked and saw the finalists neck in neck as they were running to the finishing line with the eliminated campers cheering. Ezekiel looked at them and to Zoey and looked serious as he forced himself to run faster and faster until he outpaced hs opponent.
They were wide eyed; "Could he actually..." Carlitos asked as they just stared.
He ended up tripping and getting into an unwitting sommersault before getting up dazed and kept running and Zoey was right behind him at the finishing line when Ezekiel fell...
His head and arm over the finishing line...
Everyone's eyes widened and their mouths fell wide open unable to make a sound.
Silence as everyone stared and Zoey stopped as they took in what happened.
"I don't believe this... EZEKIEL IS THE WINNER! EZEKIEL WINS TOTAL... DRAMA... ISLAND!" Chris yelled out holding up Ezekiel's arm as he just realised what had happened and then the campers started cheering and Lincoln ended up patting Ezekiel on the back along with the helpers who started clapping for him politely.
"... I have to be daydreaming..." Lola said breaking the silence.
"I know trillions upon trillions of words in my vocabularly and they are all failing at the moment..." Lisa muttered.
"You can't be serious..." Lori muttered.
"I have been his biggest advocate and I still never thought that..." Carlos muttered.
"This is a joke..." Lynn Jr muttered
"You won Zeke... You won..." Lincoln told him as Ezekiel was speechless.
"Have to hand it in you... You definitely surprised me..." Gwen said as Dawn smiled nodding along with her words.
"Can't believe it but congratulations..." Courtney admitted with a sigh.
"Just wow..." Lightning muttered.
"Just well done dude..." DJ said as Ezekiel started smiling and jumping up and down on the spot excitedly.
"They say seeing is believing but... Noo..." groaned Ronnie Anne still unable to accept what just happened.
Then came Zoey coming up to Ezekiel and things were tense. They looked and Ezekiel looked scared at Zoey who stared at him...
Then smiled and took off her headband; "Well done Ezekiel; A bit of a bummer that I didn't win but 2nd place out of 16 teens is nothing to be ashamed of..." Zoey said looking and sounding like her normal self as she patted Ezekiel on the back as the others stared at her with Dawn, Lincoln and Gwen hopefully. "Listen... I want to apologise for how aggressive and serious I have been... Sorry but my anger at Lindsay and wanting to train to get revenge made me act differently and..." Zoey said apologetically but she was taken into a hug by a huge smiling Dawn as Lincoln and Gwen gave her a thumbs up.
Big smiles on their faces as they cheered at this; "Zoey is back to her old self." Frida grinned.
"Liked the old Zoey." CJ smiled.
"Plus having all the friends that she wanted..." Leni said.
"Nice even though I will kind of miss Commando Zoey..." Ronnie Anne managed to say.
"Glad to have you acting like yourself again Zoey..." Dawn smiled in relief.
"Both versions of you were cool but nice to have hipster Zoey back..." Gwen said with anod.
"As much as Commando Zoey was cool... I prefer the actual Zoey!" Lincoln agreed as Zoey squealed.
Some nods at this.
"I finally get to think about how you got with your dream guy Dawn! So happy for you and Lincoln and you too as well Gwen! Don't mind you being with him as well!" Zoey said as the two joined in a group hug along with Ezekiel and the other helpers decided to join in as the other campers watched with especially Katie and Sadie finding it adorable.
"Oh yeah; I forgot... She was totes helping Dawn pursue her crush on Linky!" beamed Leni as they smiled at this display.
That night at the campfire pit there was almost everyone seated with Lindsay looking shocked as Heather went to sit next to her. "Kind of impressed what you pulled here and you had me fooled and played like a fiddle... Make sure it doesn't happen again with me and we can be friends again." Heather told her and Lindsay was shocked and eagerly nodded.
They just shook their heads at this display.
Chris went to face them with Chef at his side holding a briefcase; "Campers... Your Total Drama Island winner Ezekiel!" Chris said as Ezekiel excitedly joined Chris with everyone cheering and clapping for him.
Still looked so surreal.
"The ultimate symbol of victory... The final marshmallow!" Chris said as Ezekiel was presented with the marshmallow and swallowed it with a gulp.
"Now do I get my check?" Ezekiel asked and everyone was stunned as Chris shook his head.
"He gets a million dollars... A waste..." cried Lola as they remembered this.
"What's the big idea? Ezekiel won and he should get his hundred grand!" Lincoln yelled with a glare.
"Sorry snowball but no... I decided to shred the check and so Ezekiel doesn't go home with 100 thousand dollars... Instead he gets this briefcase and inside... One million dollars in cold hard cash!" Chris said as everyone was stunned as Chef opened up the briefcase and Ezekiel looked at it in shock and awe.
"Good work Ezekiel!" Lincoln called out and the cheerings continued.
"A million dollars..." muttered Courtney along with Gwen and Lightning.
"I could have bought a lifetime supply of lip gloss..." Lindsay muttered as Heather ewho was open mouthed silent then looked at Lindsay silently asking if she was serious.
Even Carlotta & Leni glared at Lindsay for this as they took in Ezekiel accepting his prize money.
"Still good for him." Albert smiled.
"Yeah... Homeschool actually showed everyone that he is more than his first impression might imply..." Luna said.
"All thanks to our Lincoln!" Rita smiled.
Ezekiel was in glee as grabbed notes as he counted some up and passed it to Lincoln who looked confused; "Here Lincoln... For being my first friend, guiding me and helping me see things beyond what I was told... Have a hundred grand out of my winnings!" Ezekiel told him with a smile as Lincoln was open mouthed.
They blinked at this and were shocked and excited; "Never say that he isn't grateful..." Carlos said as they then began cheering for them.
"I just did the calculations and it's only 375,982.25 US dollars..." Lisa said doing the calculations on her machines.
"Zeke... This is your money... I don't know what to say..." Lincoln muttered stunned that he woudl do this but had hands on his shoudler to encourage him to accept the money. "Thanks man!" Lincoln said finally accepting it and hugging Ezekiel.
"Thank you all as well..." Ezekiel smiled to everyone and then to Zoey as he closed his briefcase and hugged it close to his chest.
"Guess he was a better friend to our Lincoln than we thought he would be..." Lori said as they were all managing to find it happy for him.
Zoey just smiled good naturedly and said "I made a lot of friends which I wanted to do coming here so not a total loss... Would have been nice to win a million dollars though..."
"Tell me about it..." Lightning muttered as Chris coughed to get their attention.
"Don't worry Lightning as our winner, the runner up and you 6 helpers will have a chance to win another million dollars..." Chris spoke as this got the 8 teens' attention. "In... Season 2... You all qualify!" Chris explained as their eyes widened.
Their eyes widened and now the Loud parents and grandparents were groaning; "This is what I was dreading... I don't know if my heart can stand watching Lincoln suffer through another season of this..." Rita cried.
"Does this means that he has to stay longer..." Lily asked sadly.
"At least he has some awesome friends and awesome girlfriends to be there with him and we will be able to see him soon: I promise!" Luna assured the youngest sister as it did feel like a sad feeling that he might have to be away longer.
"I don't know if I can take more..." DJ muttered as Gwen glared at him.
"Oh no... I am done! You can't make me..." Gwen ranted only to get her contract shoved into her face and she looked at the highlighted part and shouted to the heavens.
They sympathised with her so much.
"Another chance to win... " Courtney beamed along with Lightning.
"She certainly deserves a spot considering how unfairly she was kicked out." Frida pointed out and they had to agree.
"...I was looking forward to going home with my friends and family..." Lincoln muttered with a sigh.
"We will just have to miss you longer..." Myrtle said as they all sighed.
"That's what video calls are for... Get back in touch with them!" Chris said as Lincoln looked resigned.
That did make them feel a bit better.
"...Well should be fun... If I have my new friends and girlfriends at my side..." Lincoln said as Dawn and Gwen went to his side and embraced him.
They smiled at this.
"One more thing to do..." Owen said as the 16 teens then smirked at Chris and Chef.
"Why do I love those looks..." Ronnie Anne asked as they were anticipating this.
Chris and Chef were screaming as the 16 teens along with Dennis the bear were teaming up to hold them up as they went to the top of the tall cliff and then ended up throwing them down to the water as their screams and splash then the sounds of them screaming in terror and splash about to get away from the sharks were music to their ears. They then started to laugh as the camera crew showed the 8 chosen.
They bursted into laughter at this.
"We might as well close this up..." DJ said as they faced the cameras.
"Whether we like it or not; we will be returning for Season 2..." Gwen remarked with a sigh that turned into a smile as she snuggled up to Lincoln and Dawn did the same.
"We don't know what challenges are up for the next season yo but you will be here to watch it with us!" Ezekiel said.
"We will be definitely be giving it more to give especially with a million dollars on the line!" Courtney said.
"We hope you enjoyed yourself as we did... Mostly!" Zoey said.
"We will see you possibly same Total Drama time and same Total Drama channel!" Lincoln said.
"I knew that complete 60s Batman DVD box set was a great gift idea!" smiled Myrtle to Albert.
"So that ends..." Dawn said as they got ready to say together collectively:
"Total... Drama... Island!"
"Wow what a finale..." Ronnie Anne said as they took this in.
"To think that Homeschool would... Wait a minute!" Luan said and went and grabbed Sergio and yanked out feathers with him yelling in pain and glaring at her as they looked at the prankster girls. "Lynn... What did you say you would do if Ezekiel won?" Luan asked as Lynn Jr's face fell into horror as she remembered her own words.
She then just ran out of the door being chased by Luan and the feathers as the Louds all went to chase them and get them to stop. "Why does that look normal?" Sid Chang asked going through the door an fist bumped with Ronnie Anne. "Seen the finale?" Sid asked as Ronnie Anne nodded.
"Still trying to wrap my head around that Ezekiel of all people won... But still Lincoln is in the next Season and while it's a bummer that he has to be out of home for longer, we can still video chat with him soon and we can cheer on him on. Qualifying for the next season with his girlfriends; he had better win next!" Ronnie Anne said as Sid gave a big smile.
"I can't wait to meet up with Lincoln and he can introduce me to his girlfriends!" Sid said with a smirk and tossed Ronnie Anne her phone with an email out. Ronnie Anne looked at her phone and she gasped.
"You got the next US spot in the next Season?" Ronnie Anne shouted as the Casagrandes were shocked but began congratulating Sid. "Now I can cheer on you both on!" Ronnie Anne said embracing Sid as she hugged back.
"Just be careful with those challenges; hard enough to have to watch Lincoln go through them..." Maria told Sid as she nodded.
"I will be fine Mrs Santiago; I bet I can be on Lincoln's team and we can help eachother out! This is going to be a blast!" Sid cheered as they heard out in teh hallways yelling and thrashing and people try and separate 2 fighting.
"GET THAT FLEA FILLED BIRD'S FEATHERS AWAY FROM MY FACE LUAN!" snapped Lynn Jr as there were screaming as while the other Casagrandes were concerned; Ronnie Anne and Sid shared a laugh.
"Fleas? I just had a shower last week!" Sergio snapped outraged.
