It was the next morning after the finale was filmed when the cruise ship came to pick up the 16 ex-campers of Total Drama Island; Lincoln was bummed about not being able to go home yet but still he was now able to call his family and set up some video chats. After such call (where his parents were thrilled to hear him again and talk of how proud they were of his performance; plus hearing them tell his siblings to keep back as it was clear that they wanted to wrestle the phone to talk to him), he decided to look up the internet and blinked at how popular the show had made him.

His social media message boxes of his accounts were more filled than they ever were; compilation videos, posts about how cute he was and seeing the rivalry between those that paired him with Dawn and those that paired him with Gwen. "Wow... I'm famous and I don't really know what to say..." Lincoln muttered gathered together in an area with the other 7 contestants that qualified for the next Season with both girlfriends at either side of him.

"Well I for one have noticed people back home that wants to mooch off my fame; a girl that has only talked smack about me is saying that we were close!" Gwen muttered shaking her head as Lincoln pulled her close with a sigh as she snuggled up to him.

"Well I personally would like to use any fame to raise awareness of issues and causes that I am passionate about." Dawn smiled and Lincoln smiled back at her for taking all this in stride.

"Well I am weirded out and ecstatic at the same time; on one hand getting people to like me but on the other... Weirded out that there are so many people messaging me and talking about how awesome and badass I was as 'Commando Zoey' and how they were in love... Mixed myself..." Zoey put her two cents in.

"As long as people can see how determined I was and were able to see how robbed I was being eliminated like that..." Courtney muttered hugging Brittney close to her.

"I got messages from my momma about how proud she was and it feels weird personally... I think I am the only one who qualified for the next Season who didn't get to the merger." DJ pointed and they blinked.

"Would you rather Lindsay be getting the chance to compete for a million bucks instead of you?" Lightning asked and this caused DJ to shake his head and things were tense at her being brought up. "Well then; Lightning am thrilled for more people to see how awesome I am and more potential sponsors! They will see that Lightning is winning the Million in this new season and beating out his rival!" Lightning remarked and Lincoln sighed at the look he was giving him.

"How about you Mr Millionaire?" Courtney asked Ezekiel with everyone wondering if Courtney was about to regret asking.

"Yo-yo-yo! Being famous has changed my life but don't worry; I won't forget about the little people that got me this far! Especially my best bud Lincoln who I am sure we will final 2 next Season!" Ezekiel grinned putting his briefcase up causing them to roll his eyes. "Saw this video from my folks on the 'messages from home' bit saying how proud of me they were!" Ezekiel then said with tears of joy in his eyes and it managed to affect them and give him a look saying that they were happy for him. "They want to meet you sometime Lincoln; saying my first and best friend is welcome at the farm at any time!" Ezekiel said and Lincoln looked flattered but hoped that it wasn't anytime soon.

Nothing against farms especially as his friend Liam lived on it but he was still looking forward to just some time at home.

"Check this out; they were already holding auditions for Season 2 and are already accepting submissions. 8 newcomers for the Season." DJ informed them reading off something on the news section of the Total Drama website on his phone.

They took this in; "Well our veteran status should give us a clear advantage!" Courtney said and Gwen had to nod with her.

"I feel sorry for the new saps that has to experience this show's tricks first hand and have to find out the difference between watching the show and experiencing it." Gwen muttered and Lincoln began to think about what the newcomers would be like:

In a self styled 'lair' a boy called Max was cackling about the evil schemes that he would enact after being accepted for Total Drama season 2... Plus the friends he was going to make.

In another home there was a room filled with Chris McLean stuff and a top dressed like him called Topher was ecstatic to be accepted for Total Drama Season 2 and he hoped that his idol would be in good shape to host the Season after what the stupid Season 1 cast had done to him and Chef.

After the cruise ship ported; the ex-campers were taken to the hotel where they would be staying for a while and hooked up with computers for video calls to their families.

"You got grounded Luan? How exactly? You don't live at the house anymore!" Lincoln was laughing as the Loud siblings had launched into their stories of what they had been doing with him gone and them watching the show to support him. He was hearing of how his family and the Casagrandes had been watching together and had been supporting him getting together with Dawn and or Gwen. He was now getting the story of what happened after they saw the finale; while he could get them not thinking that Ezekiel had a chance at winning (neither did he), their reactions sounded funny and then hearing about Lynn's statement about what she would do if he actually won...

"I don't know how they accomplished it but they did..." muttered Luan as Lynn Jr was still glaring at Luan with the Loud siblings looking disappointed at her and the other siblings just tried not to laugh.

"We are real proud of you Lincoln and hope that your friends and girlfriend could join you on the next call so that we could have a chance to talk to them. Especially your surprise of how well Ezekiel performed under your mentorship sport." Lynn Sr told him and Lincoln had to give himself props for that.

"Well I would love to introduce you all to eachother and to my friends back home as well. Saw Clyde's messages about me on the show." Lincoln said remembering looking at Clyde's social media and how he was bragging that Lincoln was his best friend; Lincoln felt secure in his friendship with Clyde that he didn't have to worry about if Clyde was feeling jealous. He was sure that if they could all meet up; his friends group would warm up to Ezekiel being an unofficial member.

Soon it was time for the call to end and they were saying their goodbyes; "Totes hope you can at least get Dawn on the call for the next one. To think that she was your first kiss..." Leni said and this seemed to flick a reminder switch in the brains of the family and Lincoln's eyes widened in horror as she remembered that there on the cameras was the truth that Lincoln had kept from them for 8 years.

Fortunately the call ended before they could say anything but Lincoln was now kind of dreading the next call; Lincoln found Gwen coming to the door and explained to her "just finished talking with my family: proud of me but I can expect to hear them let me have it for keeping my first kiss a secret all this time. But it seemed that my other best friend Ronnie Anne was your biggest fan on the show."

Gwen smirked at that and said "would love to hear it; Dawn asked me to check if you were still speaking to your family. She is about to call to her parents and sister and knows what they would love to get to speak to you."

Lincoln thought that speaking to one of the girlfriend's family didn't seem so bad and got up as Gwen showed him to Dawn's room. He was still scared to face his next family video call but he knew that he would still have their love and support and his new friends and girlfriend to get him through this new Season of this show.
