Hello guys! I hope you are all well!
I'm back with another chapter! Yaayyy!

This time it was really not easy for me to write it and I don't know if I am 100% satisfied with it. However, I hope that I could convey the feelings of the crew reasonably well and that you like it.

I apologize in advance for the medical inaccuracies, as I am not a doctor myself. Nevertheless, I have given my best!

️Warnings: Mentions of Blood and Blood spitting. If you are sensitive to this content I would advise you to stop reading at this point.

And for those, who have no problem with it, have fun!

~5 days later~

It was quiet on the Thousand Sunny.

Too quiet to be exact.

The news about their captain had shaken the straw hats badly.

The usual happy and peaceful mood on the ship was replaced by a depressed and tense one. And also fittingly, it was raining and storming continuously for the last few days now.

Funny, how the weather practically reflected the current feelings of the straw hat pirates.

A few days ago, everything had been in perfect order without any worries. Everyone had been so happy. But now there was no trace of all this.

It was strange how life could change so rapidly and without any warning.

Or, the forewarnings had already existed, though, only they were deliberately not noticed, almost ignored. The feelings of guilt were big and plagued each and every one of the crew, making everyday life not as easy to manage as usual, even if they tried so hard to pretend that nothing was wrong. The crew wanted to stay strong, even in difficult times like these. Especially because they had learned from none other than Luffy himself, their beloved captain and guiding light, never to lose hope, no matter what.

In fact, life could not be any crueler to the straw hats than it was right now.

What had they, and specifically Luffy, done to deserve such a harsh fate?

That was exactly the question the orange haired navigator asked herself as she sat in the hot water of the bathtub, completely dejected. She had both legs bent against her body, her arms wrapped around them in a hug and her head, which felt heavy, was resting on her knees. Nami's gaze was fixed straight ahead into the void and she was so engrossed in her thoughts, that she didn't even notice the person standing in the doorway.

Of course it was Robin, because, out of fear, no one else would dare to disturb Nami while bathing.

The raven haired woman was already undressed and a big white towel was wrapped around her skinny body, obviously ready to take a bath as well. Robin was a bit surprised to find the navigator here, since she had said earlier, that she wanted to continue drawing on her maps. With a furrowed brow and a worried expression, the archaeologist watched Nami for a few seconds.

It was clear that the whole situation had affected the orange haired the most, although each of them was afraid for Luffy's wellbeing and also for the continuation of their journey. But since that particular day, she was the only one, who hardly ate or talked to the others.

Suddenly Robin could hear Nami sniffling softly, while at the same time tiny tear drops rolled out of her eyes, down her rosy cheeks, whereupon they finally dripped down and mixed with the bath water. She was crying softly.

This bitter sight broke Robin's heart even more.

"Nami, are you alright?" Robin herself knew it was a stupid question, since the young woman was obviously not fine at all, but she had to ask her anyway.

Nami was startled by the sudden voice that broke the silence, a soft gasp escaped her mouth and she turned her head to the black haired woman in the doorway.

"Oh...h-ey Robin." Stuttering a little, Nami greeted her friend, who now entered the room and came closer to her. With quick movements, the sad navigator wiped the tears from her face with both hands and forced a small smile onto her lips. You could see the corners of her mouth twitching tensely, showing how hard she was trying not to let on how bad she actually felt.

"I-I'm…ok…I was just not in the condition to draw my maps and had to distract myself somehow else." Nami hesitantly replied as she also avoided Robin's piercing gaze.

"You don't have to hide your feelings from me, you know that. We all feel the same. And we can also see how much you're suffering." Robin said in a soft voice and sat down on the edge of the bathtub, so that her upper body was turned towards the orange haired.

"I know..." Nami heaved a sigh and looked down.

"It's just so hard that I..." Again, Nami sighed heavily and took one deep breath to quell the panic rising in her, however this attempt failed.

"What if he never wakes up again, Robin? What would we-"

"Shhh, please calm down. You can't think like that. Our captain is very strong. He'll get through this somehow, like he always does." The archaeologist tried to reassure Nami.

"But that is exactly the problem! This situation is not like any other before!" Nami countered with a slightly raised voice and she sounded like she was almost about to cry again.

Robin was aware of this bitter truth, too, and remained silent, waiting for Nami to finally let out all her frustrations of the last few days.

"And the worst thing is, it's our fault...my fault! If we had reacted in time, maybe it wouldn't have come to this. He might not have had to suffer like this..." She put her face in her hands, sobbing.

"We all suspected something was wrong…b-but Zoro that damn idiot! It's all his fault!" Nami continued, but her sadness suddenly turned into anger and she clenched her fist and hit the bathtub with all her might, which made the black haired woman flinch a bit.

Robin pretty much knew that Nami was right with every word she said and felt guilty herself, since she had been the first to agree with Zoro.

But could they really have prevented the extent of the disease if they had reacted earlier? What if it had been too late anyway? The part that Luffy would have suffered less, however, was very likely true.

Robin heaved a heavy sigh, not knowing what to say or do next in order to calm Nami. She herself was endlessly frustrated and could no longer bear this whole situation they were in.

Nevertheless, a small smile formed on her lips, while she raised her hand to gently stroke through Nami's slightly damp hair.

"He'll survive, I'm quite sure of it. We must keep our hopes up."

Thereupon, a little nod from Nami could be seen. She wanted nothing more than to firmly believe in these words. Their captain was strong, Nami knew that for a fact, but she just couldn't help but feel distressed.

"Do you know if there is any change in his condition?" Nami sniffled and gave Robin an expectant look, again wiping away her tears.

Robin's smile fell as she could only shake her head slightly in response.

"I regret to say, unfortunately, no."

~Flashback~

"CHOPPER!"

"Chopper please you have to hurry!" Nami shouted in panic and rushed to Zoro, who was holding the unconscious Luffy in his arms, his limbs dangling lifelessly. She knew neither how to help nor what to do and fervently hoped that her ship's doctor would come as soon as possible.

In the meantime, the rest of the crew, except Chopper and Sanji, had already gathered on the deck and could not believe the sight that presented itself to them.

"What on earth is going on here?" Shouted Usopp hysterically with widened eyes.

"I-I don't know exactly. We took a nap and when I tried to wake him up, he wouldn't wake up and was already in this state." Zoro quickly explained, not once averting his gaze from Luffy's face.

Upon closer inspection he noticed, how the sick teen's face became paler with every passing second, if this was even possible, and how his tender lips slowly turned blue. While his nose was still bleeding incessantly, a thick drop of blood suddenly leaked from the corner of Luffy's mouth and made its way down to his chin.

"CHOPPER IT'S REALLY URGENT! PLEASE, OH PLEASE HURRY UP!" Zoro yelled again at the top of his lungs as he strengthened his grip on Luffy.

He could already feel the warmth leaving his body through his clothes. The green haired froze as he realized this.

That could not mean anything good.

Not at all!

Finally, a second later the galley door shot open and the little reindeer together with his small blue bag rushed out, followed by the blond cook.

And the first thing Chopper noticed, was the penetrating smell of blood in the air, which his sensitive nose directly picked up. The next thing he saw, was Luffy's lifeless body, along with his bleeding nose and mouth. At this sight, his heart began to race wildly in his chest.

Chopper immediately switched to doctor mode and rushed to Luffy's side in Zoro's arms.

One closer look at his captain was enough for him to know what was going on. He hoped that his assumption was not correct…

Without wasting any more valuable time, the reindeer doctor quickly took Luffy's wrist in his hoof to feel his pulse, while checking his breathing with the other.

Suddenly, Chopper stiffened and his eyes widened in realization.

He had guessed it right.

Luffy's pulse was extremely weak and barely there, slowly fading.

And his breathing was very shallow and uneven.

His lips had a bluish tint.

On top of all that, he was bleeding profusely from his airway.

It was more than evident.

Oh no…

"Chopper is somethi-"

"Quick Zoro, you have to get him to the sickroom as quickly as possible! Luffy's going into hypovolemic shock!" Shouted Chopper frantically.

If he, as a doctor, didn't have to stay calm and professional right now, he might have started crying.

At high speed, they made their way to the infirmary, closely followed by everyone else. "What does that mean?!" The swordsman asked Chopper with a panicky voice, having no clue about what this medical term could mean.

"He's suffering from severe blood loss. His vitals are very unstable, too. We could very well lose him if I don't treat him immediately!" Chopper replied, as they reached the sickroom.

"We might lose him?!" Asked Nami in shock. None of them wanted to believe that.

"Yes, but there's no way I'm going to let that happen!" Chopper assured the others.

"Please put him gently on the bed now, Zoro." The little reindeer ordered, running back and forth in the infirmary as he prepared his needed utensils.

At that, Zoro carefully laid his captain down on the snow white bed sheet, with Luffy's head falling limply to the side and his dripping blood instantly soaking into the pure fabric, turning it red. Zoro then takes a step back, his gaze still glued to Luffy's, comparatively to the bed, small form. Due to the incredibly vulnerable sight he gave off, he could hardly recognize him.

"I'm sorry guys, but I'm afraid you'll all have to leave the room now, so I can treat Luffy better." Chopper announced, turning to his patient without further ado.

The straw hats didn't have to be told twice, and with a heavy heart and a last glance at their deathly pale captain, they disappeared through the door into the galley, where they all sat down with bowed heads at the already set dining table.

It was a shame about all the delicious food Sanji had prepared, but in such a serious situation, with Luffy's life at stake, it was only natural that no one felt like eating. Silently they sat there and listened to the sounds from the sickroom, to which they couldn't assign anything.

All of a sudden, Nami gave the green haired swordsman a venomous look.

"This is all your fault, Zoro!"

The swordsman looked over to Nami with an appalled expression.

"What do you mean, it's my fault, you witch?"

"Hey, who are you calling a witch, you shitty moss head?" Sanji suddenly intervened from the side, ready to kick the green haired in the face.

"Shut up, curly brow!" Zoro hissed.

Suddenly, Nami banged her fist on the table, causing the other straw hats to wince.

"Don't play dumb, Zoro! We all knew it would happen sooner or later! As if Luffy would tell us on his own if something was wrong! He's been hiding it all along, and look at the state he's in now!" The navigator spoke roughly.

"And why does that make it my fault, huh?" Zoro retorted angrily, obviously offended. He just couldn't understand what Nami's problem was. At his words, the orange haired became more agitated and Zoro could see her clench her fist even tighter.

"You idiot had order-"

"Stop Nami, that's enough!" Jinbei suddenly interrupted and rose from his seat. All eyes turned to him.

"The circumstances are already difficult for all of us, you don't need to start fighting too!" The fishman scolded.

Jinbei was obviously pissed off by this argument, which in any case led to nothing but more unrest within the crew. That was the last thing they needed right now. They had to be strong and stick together, no matter what happened.

"Jinbei is right! And besides, I'm sure you're not helping Chopper with this, either. He needs the silence to concentrate in there!" Now Franky also interfered.

Nami took a deep breath to calm down again. Her comrades were absolutely right. What was wrong with her? Still, she felt that the green haired man was to blame for Luffy's condition.

But deep down, she blamed herself, because she could've personally dragged Luffy to the infirmary to see Chopper, before it could even get this far, no matter what Zoro had ordered.

"I'm sorry, you're right. I should've known better. What happened, happened, and arguing doesn't help us." Nami excused herself and stood up.

"Where are you going now?" Usopp wanted to know, as his concerned gaze followed the orange haired girl, who now made her way to the door.

"I need to be alone for a moment." Came the short reply, as Nami disappeared beyond the galley door.

"But-"

"Leave her alone, Usopp." Zoro said and stopped him from going after their upset navigator. The swordsman couldn't blame her for her behavior, since her reaction had been very normal for these circumstances. He thought she would come around somehow.

Sudden silence fell and no one dared to say anything anymore. They had no choice but to wait patiently for Chopper to tell them the news about Luffy's health.

And with each passing minute, the wait became almost unbearable…

~ Meanwhile in the infirmary~

Chopper tried to keep calm and concentrate, even though the shouting from the kitchen made his work more difficult. He was worried that the argument might escalate, but he couldn't let himself be distracted at any cost, or it might cost Luffy his life.

Step by step, the little doctor proceeded with the treatment.

First of all, he checked his pulse and breathing again. Relieved, he found that his pulse remained the same, even though it was very weak, which was no reason for relief, but in this case it was better than feeling no pulse at all. He was shocked, though, to see that Luffy could hardly breathe and the reason was clear. All the blood was clogging his airway and had to be removed in an instant or he would drown on his own fluid.

To do this, the reindeer picked up a bucket and placed it between the black haired teen's legs, before taking the next step to change into his human form to put Luffy's upper body upright. He opened his mouth slightly and positioned his head, so that it was above the bucket and began patting his back.

Unfortunately, Chopper didn't have any other tools needed to facilitate this process, so he had no choice but to try it this way.

It had to work.

"C'mon Luffy." The little reindeer encouraged under his breath and started to tap harder.

To Chopper's relief, it wasn't long before a large gush of blood flowed simultaneously from his mouth and nose, filling the bucket. An uneasy feeling came over him as he watched this amount of blood come out. Even though this was not a good sign, it still pleased Chopper to know that Luffy was at least breathing easier now. To really make sure he was getting enough oxygen into his body, he put a respirator mask over his mouth and nose.

Then he took the half full bucket and put it aside, because he wanted to take care of it later.

Since so much blood was accumulating in Luffy's system, the little doctor assumed that it must be due to internal bleeding. Most likely it was coming from his lungs, as his respiratory tract was apparently affected. However, this was still an assumption and he didn't really know where exactly the bleeding was and what could be the reason for it.

But since Luffy was almost bleeding to death, Chopper had to act quickly and next gave him a dose of hemostatic drugs to stop any bleeding inside him. He then hurried to his small blood bank, where he kept the various bags with the specific blood types of the Straw Hats, and took out a bag with F type blood.

The little doctor was shocked to find that he only had two left, which would definitely not be enough. Unfortunately, since he didn't know when exactly they would reach the next island, he would have to ask Jinbei for a transfusion later.

He then set about preparing for the blood transfusion by attaching one end of the IV tubing to the blood bag and then carefully inserting the needle into the crook of Luffy's right arm after finding a suitable vein and disinfecting the little area. He then hung the bag on an IV pole beside the bed. To be on the safe side, the ship's doctor let the blood flow slowly to avoid any possible complications.

When Chopper could now be sure that Luffy was temporarily stabilized, a slight sigh of relief escaped him while he also wiped away the sweat from his forehead with his arm.

However, there was still no time to rejoice, as Luffy's condition still seemed very mysterious to Chopper. He still had to do a lot of investigation to get to the bottom of the matter.

Chopper watched his captain for a few seconds, letting his eyes wander over his breathing mask, which fogged up with every little puff of air he exhaled. Fortunately, some color had come back into his face and the paleness slowly disappeared.

It pained Chopper so much to see his best friend in such a state.

He then ran his hoof through his pitch black hair as he noticed how sweaty Luffy's forehead was and how it was also furrowed in pain. He immediately slid his hoof onto the 19 year old's forehead to check his temperature.

The doctor's eyes widened at the realization of the high heat emanating from him. In addition, he also appeared to be in some kind of agony. Chopper then decided to inject him with a painkiller and something to regulate his high temperature, after which he returned to his patient's bedside with a bowl of cold water and a washcloth. He carefully wrung out the piece of cloth after dipping it and placed it on Luffy's glowing forehead, hoping it would cool him down. Instantly, the raven haired boy's facial features relaxed as a sign that it was doing him good.

After that was done, he stood up and then turned away from his patient with a last checking glance. After all, he had to continue his research.

Just as the small doctor was about to take a syringe from his cabinet to take a blood sample from the bucket full of blood from earlier, he suddenly heard a gasping groan behind him.

All at once he turned around and saw how Luffy had unconsciously put a hand on his stomach. Then a weak moan reached his ears again. He quickly rushed to his captain's side to see how his face was again distorted in pain while he held his belly convulsively. Chopper couldn't tell what was wrong with him, since he had just given him a dose of painkillers.

Looking closer, the reindeer noticed how Luffy's eyelids twitched, as if he wanted to open them.

"Luffy? Luffy?! Can you hear me?" Chopper asked hectically, hoping his patient would finally come to.

"Mhhmm…"

After a few tries, the sickly captain managed to open his eyes. Even though everything was spinning and his vision was blurry, he could make out Chopper leaning over him.

"Ch-Cho-pp-*cough* *cough*"

Before he could even pronounce the reindeer's name, he went into a wet coughing fit that fortunately didn't last too long. In the process, a few splashes of blood stained the inside of the mask he wore.

"That's right Luffy, it's me, but you can't talk right now, okay?" Chopper told him and gave him a little smile.

But without warning and without Chopper being able to stop him in time, Luffy straightened up on the bed and brought his shaky hand to the breathing mask he was wearing, only to take it off, much to Chopper's horror. Luffy blinked a few times, intending to clear his blurred vision, and you could clearly see from his expression how confused he was.

"Oh n-no Luffy! Lie back down, you're still too weak! And put your mask back on!" Chopper shrieked as he desperately tried to get his befuddled captain to lie down again.

Luffy audibly gasped for air and obviously couldn't get his breath under control, yet he started a new attempt to speak and sluggishly turned his head to the ship's doctor on his side.

"Ch-chop-"

Another coughing fit, this time stronger than the last. Luffy raised his hand in front of his mouth, intending to muffle it, but in vain. The palm of his hand was covered with blood and even the white bed sheet was not spared. Deep red splashes decorated the white fabric until the attack stopped. Chopper had no choice but to stroke his back in a soothing circular motion.

"Are you all right Luffy? Are you in any pain?" Chopper wanted to know.

As a reply, Luffy held his hand against his tummy once again and before he could answer otherwise, his eyes fell shut and he was about to fall limply backwards onto the bed.

"L-Luffy?!"

Completely taken by surprise, Chopper caught him with his hooves just in time to soften his fall and lay him down gently.

As actually expected, Luffy had not lost consciousness again, but was lying there still breathing heavily and with his eyes squeezed shut, obviously exhausted just from sitting upright. It was no wonder, because of the high blood loss and the disease that affected him, his body was very weakened and not even a Luffy could put it away so easily, as if it were nothing.

Without hesitation, Chopper put the oxygen mask back over his face so that he could breathe again. Luffy opened his eyes with great effort and you could clearly see how hard he had to try to keep them open and stared straight into Chopper's orbs.

"I-I'm...s'rry...C-Chopper...hahh." Luffy only whispered through his mask, and if Chopper's ears weren't as good as they were, he would have easily overheard. At his words the reindeer's eyes widened.

Why did his captain apologize? After all, it's not like it was his fault.

"Why are you apologizing Luffy? You don't have to. It's going to be okay, I promise." Chopper assured and was very close to tears, but he tried to pull himself together.

"Whatever this is, I will heal you!"

Luffy did not hear Chopper's last words, as his eyes fell shut and thus consciousness left him again.

Chopper sighed sadly when he noticed this and checked his vitals to make sure that he had indeed only lost consciousness due to exhaustion. Then he gave him another, but this time, smaller dose of painkillers, since the last one had not helped him as it seemed. Afterwards the reindeer felt for his fever, which had gone down a bit in the meantime, and then took the washcloth, which had fallen off earlier, and placed it back on his captain's forehead.

Since Luffy seemed to have a lot of pain in his abdomen, he decided to take a look at it.

The little doctor lifted Luffy's dark blue shirt up so that his belly was completely exposed. But what he saw first made him gasp in horror. Light green and blue bruises adorned his usual creamy skin, extending from his lower chest to his belly button. They seemed to be healed already but they were visible when looking closely. It was a sight that didn't fit Luffy's skin at all, since the rubber boy never got bruises thanks to his devil fruit powers.

The question Chopper asked himself was what the bruises could be from. Since they were almost healed, they had to be from a few days ago. Could they be from the fight he had had on the last island?

No matter what it was, it wasn't normal either way. At least not for Luffy.

Chopper was sure that this slight injury was not the reason for Luffy's discomfort. Since the raven haired boy was spitting blood, the pain in his abdomen had to be related. Chopper's suspicion was that not only was something hugely wrong with his lungs, as previously suspected, but also with his abdominal area.

The small doctor carefully scanned Luffy's stomach and chest with his two hooves, looking for anything abnormal. It wasn't a sprained or broken rib, which would be also strange for Luffy, because everything in that section felt normal and so did the rest.

When he came to the conclusion that this didn't help him, he pulled Luffy's shirt down again with a sigh, noticing how a shiver ran through the black haired teen's body. He seemed to be freezing, which was probably due to his fever. Chopper quickly grabbed a blanket from one of the cabinets and covered Luffy with it.

With one last look at his patient, the reindeer finally turned away from him to get on with his investigations as quickly as possible.

So, as before, he grabbed a syringe and took a blood sample from the bucket, hoping it would reveal more about Luffy's condition and then he disposed of the rest outside overboard.

Next, he took a seat at his work table and examined the blood sample under his microscope.

The discovery he made was more than shocking for him.

And to determine the exact diagnosis, he performed a few other tests on Luffy, including a small incision on his abdomen.

The whole process took a full 5 hours before Chopper settled on a diagnosis. No matter how many times he went over his findings and even ran a few of the tests multiple times, the result remained devastating.

Completely dejected, Chopper sat at his table and buried his head in his folded arms. At that moment, he was no longer able to stay strong and began to cry bitterly.

How could he share this terrible news with his friends?

After a long while, when Chopper had calmed down and got a grip on himself, it was time to tell his friends the news about their captain's do this, he gathered everyone in the kitchen.

He tried morbidly to put on a relatively neutral look so as not to worry his friends right away, which would be the case anyway after his announcement.

"Hey Chopper, it's about time! What took you so long?" Usopp, who had taken a seat next to him, asked.

Chopper escaped his piercing gaze and instead looked around, seeing all the crew members looking at him expectantly.

He had to swallow and could feel his heart beating like crazy in his chest, as if it wanted to jump out of his ribcage.

"C'mon Chopper, tell us! How's Luffy and what's wrong with him?" This time it was Nami who asked.

You could see the tension in everyone's eyes. Waiting in uncertainty had not been easy for any of them.

"Guys, I honestly don't know where to start..." Chopper began, his voice was shaking.

"Is it something bad?" Brook wanted to know, hoping Chopper would answer that question in the negative.

"Oh no, does luffy have to die?!" Suddenly Usopp panicked, but was immediately immobilized by Zoro.

"Shut up and listen to what Chopper says, dumbass!"

"Well, Luffy is stabilized for now and he's also no longer in danger of losing his life." The little doctor continued whereupon everyone breathed a huge sigh of relief.

"Still, there's a problem with his cells, and I think that problem has something to do with Luffy's use of his gears. He has pushed his body too far beyond its limits that it has caused great damage to his cells."

"That shitty captain and his damn gears!" Cursed Sanji as he lit up a cigarette.

"Because of that damage, his cells can no longer withstand, causing ruptures in his organs. I also found traces of bruises on his body, which means that his rubber body can no longer easily absorb blows and impacts due to the weakened cells."

Chopper paused briefly as he looked around again. The crew's expressions darkened with every word he spoke. They all understood immediately that this was not just a simple illness, as they had hoped.

Then Chopper took a deep breath and continued his explanation, careful not to use any medical terms, that his friends would not understand.

"The ruptures have already started in his lungs and gastrointestinal tract, causing internal bleeding. This is the reason why he bled from his mouth and nose. I also found definite signs that he was vomiting, which is related to the rupture in his stomach, making it impossible to eat solid food. Therefore, I have him hooked up to an IV, which is providing him with nutrients. Also, his heart is not affected by this yet, but it is weakened and certainly can't keep up with Luffy and his fighting."

Before he uttered the next sentence, he tried to calm down again and took a few deep breaths as not to start crying right away.

"In summary, Luffy is dying."

Their beloved captain.

Dying?

Was he even capable of it?

"D-dying?" The crew stuttered together in disbelief.

None of them could believe their ears. The things Chopper had told them were bad, but they didn't expect such a result from him. After all, it was Luffy and he and the word "death" definitely did not belong in the same sentence.

"You're joking, right Chopper?" Nami tried to laugh it off as she couldn't face it.

Her captain dying...never.

Chopper turned his face down, not being able to look at his friends and shook his head.

"No…" He muttered sadly.

"But there has to be a way to save him, doesn't there?" Asked Zoro, who would never give up his captain without a fight.

"Chopper?" Everyone had their eyes fixed hopefully on the little reindeer, waiting for a positive answer.

"There is a way to save him. I've been working on a medicine that can cure any disease since the beginning of our journey. That is the reason why I was able to stabilize his condition in the first place. So far, I've been able to create a prototype that improves Luffy's condition."

"That's super! Then you can heal him after all!" Franky shouted happily.

Suddenly a smile appeared on the lips of his friends, who were glad to hear this information. But the joy did not last long.

"However, this prototype only provides a temporary healing effect. I simply lack the proper healing herbs with which to complete the medicine. Luffy's condition will continue to deteriorate regardless."Clarified Chopper and looked up again, only to be met with the sad expressions of the straw hats.

"And also..." Chopper gulped before he continued.

"I don't know when he'll wake up…or if he'll ever wake up again…"

"I-I'm s-so sorry." The little doctor added and sobbed loudly.

He couldn't help it and started to cry.

~End of Flashback~

"I see...so then he's still dying." Said Nami dejectedly and lowered her gaze.

"Nami, you can't think like that. He is fighting. For himself, for you, for all of us. And as soon as he's done, he'll come back to us."

Robin grinned, hoping to put a little smile on the orange haired girl's lips as well.

Finally, the corners of Nami's mouth turned up a little, smiling slightly.

"Thank you, Robin."

Out of nowhere, a hysterical shouting was heard from the deck.

Nami and Robin turned at the same time in the direction of the window, which was located right next to the bathtub, and looked out in surprise.

It was Usopp.

"HEY GUYS! LUFFY IS FINALLY AWAKE!"

"What?! Luffy is...did you hear that Robin?!" Nami cried out in relief and turned to the equally pleased black haired woman, who now smiled at her again.

"You see? Our warrior has returned to us."
