Danielle Oliver and Schuyler Tate Collins, two best friends who had grown up together since they were 3 years old. They did everything together from being partners in martial arts to Sky coming to her every gymnastics tournament. Nothing could separate these two or so they thought.

"I win again" 10 year old Danielle smirked as she tackled her friend.

"Not fair I wasn't ready" Sky groaned as he took her hand and pulled her down

"Hey" Dani yelped as he took her by surprise, when they both got up they saw their parents walking towards them with Sky's mother holding a large envelope

"Mom, Dad whats going on" Sky asked with Dani by his side

"Open it" Jessica, Skys mother and Wes's wife smiled

Sky opened the letter and smiled "I got in, Dani I'm going to SPD academy…Dani" Sky frowned when he saw his best friends upset reaction

"You're leaving me" Dani cried and ran for the treehouse they had built with their dads.

"Dani, I'm not leaving you, you're my best friend" Sky ran after her and looked up the ladder

"You have no best friend" Danielle said from the top

"Danielle Elizabeth, come down this instant" Kimberly said with authority as her daughter slowly climbed down and faced Sky

"I'm never going to see you again" Dani said tears in her eyes

"Of course you will, its not forever and we have FaceTime" Sky tried to reassure her but he was also upset to leave his best friend

"It wont be the same"

"I have an idea, take my red phoenix pendent, so you'll always have a piece of me" Sky said removing his charm off his necklace and put it on hers

"Take my white dove, so that you'll never forget me" Dani removed her white dove charm and put it on his chain.

"I could never forget you, Dani and Sky forever" Sky smiled linking their two charms together the way they always did whenever they teamed up.

"Forever"

~10 YEARS LATER~

"Mom, Dad…NOOO!" Dani woke up screaming from a recurring nightmare.

"Hey, hey, shh, its ok" Matt said as he held his sister, he was used to these screams, they've only been happening once a month for the past year.

"It was all my fault" Danielle cried in his arms like she did every time the dream woke her.

"No, it wasn't, we knew the dangers, we as a team couldn't have survived without their sacrifice" Matt said rocking her softly brushing her hair back

"Hey, you're awake. someones here to see you" "Uncle" Hunter came into the room having woken up by the scream

"Its 5 am" Matt said

"He says its urgent" Hunter said leaving the room as Dani put on her robe and slippers and followed her brother and uncle

"Miss Oliver" A large blue dog stood in her living room with her uncle Hunter and aunt Samantha, along with her brothers Matt and David

"Doggy Cruger, chief of SPD, what are you doing here." Dani said sitting next to her aunt

"I've come asking for you help, Grumms monsters are getting stronger we need someone with your experience…" Doggy said but was interrupted

"I'm done being a ranger" Danielle said coldly and emotionless

"I understand especially given todays date, but I wouldn't ask if it wasn't urgent" Kruger pleaded with the young woman

"Doggy you cant force her" Hunter said standing between his niece and the dog

"I see, well thank you for your time…" Doggy turns and notices a picture on the mantel of Danielle and Sky as children

"Would you reconsider if I told you that Sky was the red ranger." Doggy looked at her, her eyes filled with shock

"He's a B-squad cadet" Dani remembered from what his mother Jessica had told her

"He is, well was, until A-squad got taken by Grumm, they had to step up. Its to my knowledge that you two haven't spoken in 3 years." Doggy explained

"That was my fault" Danielle spoke softly

"You did what you did to protect him" David said sitting next to his sister

"I was afraid he would be used against me, like they were, like you two were" Dani said looking up at her brothers

"That was quiet admirable, you know he is a very dedicated and focused leader." Kruger spoke of Sky's role

"I knew he would be" Danielle unconsciously touched the red phoenix charm around her neck.

"The white morpher is yours if you chose it" Kruger placed the morpher on the table and was about to leave

"Doggy…he can't know, not until I reveal myself"

"Of course"
