The Sovereign Of The Sunrise Kingdom

Chapter 6: Elephant Graveyard

Later on at the savannah of the Serengeti Plains, the royal twins Simba and Amani and their best friends Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama continued traveling throughout the savannah, and they all suddenly noticed the dreaded Shadow Domain is at the distance from the Sunrise Kingdom, much to their delight, and they began heading right towards it right after they have managed to lose Zazu who has been assigned to watch over them.

Also, the twins and their best friends are very delighted that they've managed to lose Zazu, and each of them began bragging about how they came up with the idea to lose Zazu even though it was all of their idea to do so by working together just as they all continued traveling to the Shadow Domain in order to visit the Elephant Graveyard.

"Alright, we did it, everybody." cheered Simba.

"We managed to lose the little birdie." cheered Amani.

"Now we can go to that awesome place you two told us about." cheered Nala.

"We just can't wait to see it already and it's gonna be so much fun." cheered Tojo.

"None of this would've been possible if I hadn't come up with the plan," said Simba.

"Simba, what the heck are you talking about?" asked Amani.

"It was all my idea to come up with the plan, and I am absolutely a genius." said Simba.

"Hey, genius, it was actually my idea to lose Zazu in the first place." said Nala.

"You mean, it was my idea anyway." said Tama.

"No, the plan to lose the dodo was all my idea," said Chumvi.

"Let's just say it was my idea to come up with it." said Tojo.

"Well, I was the one who pulled the whole thing off," said Simba.

"Actually, we pulled it off together, your highness." said Malka.

"Yeah, you wouldn't have done it without us," said Nala.

"Also, most of it was my idea when we worked together to pull it off," said Amani.

"Oh, yeah? Well, we'll see about that." said Simba.

Simba suddenly pounces on Nala just as they both rolled across the ground while Amani, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama came along with them, and Nala manages to pin Simba on the ground and quickly got off of him with a smug smirk while the other young cubs laughed with joy. Simba smirks mischievously at Nala and pounces on her again just as they roll across the ground again while the other cubs come along with them, and Simba and Nala roll down a very steep cliffside. Nala managed to pin Simba down on the ground again while the other cubs laughed in joy, and Simba and Nala shared a laugh together too.

Suddenly, the twins and their friends notice a nearby geyser erupts right in front of them, much to their surprise. Just as the steam from the geyser clears up, the group of young cubs also quickly notice a nearby large skull of a dead elephant, and upon seeing the dead elephant's skull, they quickly realize that they have arrived at the Elephant Graveyard in the Shadow Domain. They all stare at the elephant skull in complete amazement for a moment, and then they notice the vast view of the Elephant Graveyard and they become even more amazed. Also, unbeknownst to them, Zazu has managed to break free from under the rhino's rear and catches up to them, and he becomes very shocked to see them in the Elephant Graveyard.

"Guys, we made it. It's the Elephant Graveyard." said Simba.

"Whoa! This place is really amazing." said Tojo.

"Yeah, even though it looks very creepy too." said Amani.

"We're all gonna end up in big trouble if we get caught." said Nala.

"Not as long as anybody finds out that we came here," said Malka.

"For sure, and this is so great and we've never been here before." said Simba.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's explore this place." said Chumvi.

"Hey, guys, maybe that elephant still has its brains in its skull," said Tama.

"We all wonder if it's so true and it could be possible," said Kula.

"There's only one way to find out for sure, guys." said Amani.

"C'mon. Let's go check it out and see what it looks like." said Simba.

The cubs proceeded to begin exploring the Elephant Graveyard, and they are all about to head inside the elephant skull to check if it still has it's brains inside, but before they could do so, Zazu suddenly appears right in front of them, and he prevents them from going inside the elephant skull, much to their dismay. Zazu is very outraged and disappointed that the twins and their friends came to the Elephant Graveyard since they weren't supposed to be there.

"Wrong! The only checking out you children will be doing is the check out of this place!" exclaimed Zazu just as he shooed the twins and their friends away from the skull.

"Aw, man!" exclaimed Simba.

"Seriously?!" asked Amani.

"We're definitely beyond the border of the Sunrise Kingdom," said Zazu.

"Oh, look, Banana Beak is afraid." said Simba just as he chuckled.

"That's Mr. Banana Beak to you, Fuzzy Prince!" exclaimed Zazu.

"Alright, but there's absolutely nothing to worry about being at this kind of place, little hornbill advisor." said Amani just as she giggled.

"Actually, little lion princess, there is something to worry about being here, and that's because we're all in danger!" exclaimed Zazu.

"Danger? Ha!" said Simba just as he approached the elephant skull. "Most of the time, I would walk on the wild side, and I would laugh in the face of danger and nothing would intimidate me! Absolutely nothing!"

Simba laughed mockingly, and then he suddenly heard some peculiar laughing from right inside the elephant skull which caused him to become filled with complete fear and he quickly hid right behind Amani and their best friends as well as Zazu. Suddenly, the three spotted hyenas named Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed who are Scar's loyal henchmen emerge from the elephant skull and began approaching Simba, Amani, Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama while Zazu shields them with his wings in order to protect them.

"Well, well, well, Banzai, what have we got here?" asked Shenzi.

"I honestly have no idea, Shenzi. What do you think, Ed?" asked Banzai while Ed laughed hysterically. "I was thinking about the same thing and it's a group of trespassers!"

Zazu continues to shield the young lion cubs with his wings while they back up in fear. "Just let me assure you that coming here was a huge mistake and we're not supposed to be here anyway. We've just made a navigational error on our journey in the savannah.

Shenzi quickly puts her paw on Zazu's tail. "Hey, wait a minute. I know exactly who you are. You're one of King Mufasa's little stooges."

"Actually, madam, I am one of the members of the royal advisory council." said Zazu just as he got his tail from under Shenzi's paw.

"And that would make you two little lion cubs?" asked Banzai just as he, Shenzi, and Ed began circling around Simba, Amani, Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, Tama, and Zazu.

"I'm the rightful heir to the throne of the Sunrise Kingdom and I'm the future sovereign." said Simba.

"I'm the future sovereign's twin sister and I'm second-in-line to the throne." said Amani.

"Do you have any idea what we do to sovereigns and their siblings who have left their own kingdom?" asked Shenzi.

"Um...Uh...Understand that they've made a huge mistake and let them go free?" asked Amani in fear.

"Nope. It means that they'll be taught a harsh lesson for trespassing our land." said Shenzi while Ed nodded his head in agreement.

"And that kind of lesson would be?" asked Amani.

"Oh, you're gonna see very soon, little kitten." said Banzai while Ed laughed mockingly.

"Ha! You can't do anything to me since I'm the future king, and you can't do anything to my sister either since she's second-in-line to the throne." said Simba.

"Uh...Actually,those hyenas can do something to you since we've all come to their home in the Shadow Domain." said Zazu.

"But you just told us that the hyenas from the Shadow Domain are nothing but slobbering, mangy, stupid poachers." said Simba.

"Ixnay on the oopid-stay." whispered Zazu nervously.

"Who the heck are you calling "oopid-stay"?!" snapped Banzai.

"Nobody! We weren't calling anybody that! No way!" said Amani.

"The sun is already setting, and it's already time for us to go!" said Zazu just as he and the young cubs attempt to leave the Elephant Graveyard, but Shenzi quickly blocks them.

"Why are you in such a hurry? There's plenty of time." said Shenzi. "We love you to stay with us for dinner time."

"Thanks, but no thanks, ma'am. We're about to have some dinner back at our home soon." said Amani in fear.

"We mean that if you don't mind being the main course. You're gonna be our dinner this evening." said Shenzi while Zazu continues to shield the cubs with his wings in order to defend them.

"Oh, dear! That definitely isn't gonna..." said Zazu just as tried to explain, but Banzai suddenly interrupted him.

"Yeah, we can have whatever's lion around at meal time!" said Banzai. He began laughing while Shenzi and Ed began laughing along with him. "Get the joke? Get it? Lion around!"

"Wait, I got a joke of my own! Make me a cub sandwich with a side of a fried hornbill!" said Shenzi. "What do you think of the meal joke?!" She began laughing while Banzai and Ed began laughing along with her.

Just as the hyena trio laughed at the jokes they made together, the twin prince and princess, their best friends, and Zazu are filled with complete fear that the three hyenas plan to eat them after they came to the Elephant Graveyard in the Shadow Domain and they plan to escape from the hyenas in order to avoid being eaten by them. They then saw their way to escape from the hyenas and they began running off in fear while the hyenas continued to laugh at their jokes. However, Ed suddenly noticed the cubs and Zazu began escaping, and he warned Shenzi and Banzai about their escape.

"What is it, Ed? What do you need to say?" asked Shenzi.

"Hey! Did we order this dinner already and also ordered it to be delivered somewhere else?" asked Banzai just as he quickly noticed where Ed was pointing at.

"No, we didn't. What do you mean by that?" asked Shenzi.

"'CAUSE THERE IT GOES!" exclaimed Banzai.

Shenzi quickly noticed the royal twins, their friends, and Zazu escaping from them and running off in the distance, and she, Banzai, and Ed began chasing them in order to eat them. Just as they continue their escape, the cubs and Zazu suddenly notice the hyena trio begin coming after them which causes them to become filled with more fear, and they try to do the best that they can to avoid becoming their dinner. Suddenly, just as the chase continues throughout the Elephant Graveyard between the cubs and Zazu and the hyenas, Banzai grabs Zazu by his tail and pulled him back, and he, Shenzi, and Ed takes Zazu hostage and they began taking him to some geysers.

While the hyenas take Zazu hostage and took him to some geysers, Simba, Amani, and their best friends continue to escape from the hyenas and they quickly notice that the hyenas have stopped chasing them throughout the Elephant Graveyard all of a sudden, much to their surprise, and they also notice that Zazu is nowhere to be found. Suddenly, the cubs realize that the hyena trio have captured Zazu and they decide to go save him. At the geysers, Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed torment Zazu together and Banzai puts him in one of the geysers which is called a birdie boiler, and the geyser shoots Zazu high up in the air that sends him all the way back to the Sunrise Kingdom while the hyena trio laughed mockingly.

Suddenly, Simba, Amani, and his friends confront the hyenas and Simba attempt to face them bravely while the others became very nervous, but it ends up backfiring so quickly when the hyenas continue to chase them through the Elephant Graveyard while Shenzi nipped Simba and Nala's rears, Banzai nipped Amani and Tojo's rears, Ed nipped Chumvi and Kula's rears, and Shenzi nipped Malka and Tama's rears. The cubs manage to dodge the hyenas' jaws and manage to lose them, but they manage to catch up to them again and they emerge through some smoke of a geyser while they mocked them which made them scream in complete fear, and they continue snapping their jaws at them and they continue to escape from them all over the Elephant Graveyard.

Meanwhile, back at the Sunrise Kingdom, Wepesi and Jabari are hanging out together at the Ruaha Fields, and they are swimming together in one of the rivers and having so much fun while they are bonding with each other and are completely unaware that they have romantic feelings for each other. While they are spending time with each other, Zazu suddenly falls into the river and Wepesi and Jabari suddenly become filled with surprise, and they quickly help out Zazu.

"Oh, my goodness!" exclaimed Wepesi.

"Are you alright?! What happened?!" asked Jabari.

"Wepesi, Jabari, have you seen King Mufasa?" asked Zazu in panic.

"Yeah, his majesty is at the Royal Kopje right now," said Jabari.

"Why do you wanna see Uncle Mufasa, Zazu?" asked Wepesi in concern.

"Because your cousins Simba and Amani and their best friends Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama are now in danger!" exclaimed Zazu.

"Simba, Amani, and their friends are in danger?! Really?!" exclaimed Wepesi. Zazu nodded his head. "But how?!"

"They're at the Elephant Graveyard in the Shadow Domain!" exclaimed Zazu.

"What?! They're not supposed to be there, and what the heck are they doing there anyway?!" exclaimed Jabari.

"I don't know, but they're there! And some hyenas are trying to have them for their next main course!"exclaimed Zazu.

"Oh, no! Wepesi, we need to tell your uncle that your cousins are at the Elephant Graveyard and are being attacked by hyenas!" exclaimed Jabari.

"That's right! We gotta tell Uncle Mufasa right now and my cousins need to be saved!" exclaimed Wepesi.

Wepesi and Jabari then get out of the river, and they and Zazu leave the Ruaha Fields and began heading back to the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun at the Serengeti Plains in order to inform Mufasa about Simba, Nala, and their best friends are being under attacked by the hyenas in the Elephant Graveyard in the Shadow Domain. At the Royal Kopje, King Mufasa is carrying out his royal duties as the sovereign of the Sunrise Kingdom with the help of his wife Queen Sarabi, his younger sister Princess Zahara, and Zahara's husband Prince Ushindi and he is kindly reminding to a zebra, a vervet monkey, a lovebird, a hare, and a cheetah that's there's enough baobab fruit for everybody in the Tarangire Grove for everybody and that they must share it together no matter what since it's part of the great Circle Of Life while the animals made up with each other.

Suddenly, Wepesi, Jabari, and Zazu arrive at the throne room of the Royal Kopje and they all inform Mufasa about the situation his son Simba and his daughter Amani and their best friends Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama are in right now which they are being attacked by the hyenas in the Elephant Graveyard in the Shadow Domain and needs his help. Mufasa became very shocked upon learning Simba, Amani, and their best friends had gone to the Elephant Graveyard and put themselves in danger, and Sarabi, Zahara, and Ushindi became very shocked as well. Also, Mufasa became very disappointed in Simba and Amani for their insubordination.

"Uncle Mufasa! There is something you need to know!" exclaimed Wepesi.

"Simba, Amani, and their friends Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama are in the Shadow Domain!" exclaimed Jabari.

"Is what you're saying to me very true?!" asked Mufasa.

"Yeah, and some of the hyenas who live in the Elephant Graveyard are planning to eat them!" exclaimed Zazu.

"That's terrible! We can't let the hyenas eat the children!" exclaimed Sarabi.

"They really need some help and they're definitely in danger in that dangerous place in the Shadow Domain!" exclaimed Zahara.

"Besides, the young cubs of the Sunrise Pride aren't allowed to go to an awful place just like that one!" exclaimed Ushindi.

"Sarabi, I'm gonna save our son and daughter as well as their best friends from the hyenas in the Elephant Graveyard," said Mufasa.

"Alright, and promise that you, our son and daughter, and their friends will be okay," said Sarabi.

"I'll be right back and it won't be so long," said Mufasa. "Also, I can't believe that Simba and Amani went to the Shadow Domain and I told them earlier that they must never go there. Zazu, come along with me, and let's go save them and their friends."

"Absolutely, sire. Also, we can't believe your children did it as well." said Zazu.

Mufasa then leave the throne room and leaves the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun just as he began heading to the Shadow Domain to rescue his twin children Simba and Amani as well as their best friends Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama from the hyenas in the Elephant Graveyard along with Zazu, and while he does so, Mufasa is very disappointed that Simba and Amani has disobeyed him and put themselves and their friends in danger. Also, unbeknownst to Mufasa and Zazu, Scar has overheard the whole conversation in the throne room and decides to go to the Elephant Graveyard to make sure that his hyena henchmen Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed would manage to eat Simba and Amani while he doesn't even mind that his henchmen also eat his nephew and niece's best friends as well.

Back at the Elephant Graveyard in the Shadow Domain, Simba, Amani, Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama are still being chased by Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed all over the place. The three hyenas continue to eat the young cubs just as they continue to nip them, and the twins and their best friends continue to dodge the hyenas' jaws. Just as the chase continues, Simba gets an idea to face the hyenas and in order to escape from them as well as an attempt to be brave, and he quickly informs his sister and their best friends his plan and they agree to go along with it.

Then, the group of best friends split up from each other and they went into different directions in the Elephant Graveyard. Simba and Amani went together along with Nala and Tojo who also went together, Chumvi and Kula went together, and Malka and Tama went together, and upon seeing the cubs go in different directions, the hyenas quickly decide to split up in order to capture each of them and make them the next main course. Shenzi goes after Simba, Amani, Nala, and Tojo, Banzai goes after Chumvi and Kula, and Ed goes after Malka and Tama.

At Simba, Amani, Nala, and Tojo's direction, they spot some holes in the ground and decide to pull off a trick on Shenzi who is chasing them down. They all suddenly get inside the holes just as Shenzi manages to catch up to them, and Shenzi attempts to catch them, but she is unable to do so since they keep popping out from the holes so quickly while they make very funny faces at her, much to her irritation and annoyance. Suddenly, Shenzi gets exhausted from attempting to catch Simba, Amani, Nala, and Tojo, and they manage to escape from her unharmed.

At Chumvi and Kula's direction, they spot a very large pool of oozing hot bubbling tar and decide to pull off a trick on Banzai who is chasing them down. They suddenly began hopping on some of the small rock pillars that are inside the large tar pool just as Banzai manages to catch up to them, and Banzai attempts to catch them, but he is unable to do so since they keep hopping away from him on the rock pillars so quickly while they mocked him which annoyed him so much. Suddenly, Banzai gets so exhausted from attempting to catch Chumvi and Kula, and they manage to escape from him unharmed.

At Malka and Tama's direction, they spot massive hills of bones and decide to pull off a trick on Ed who is chasing him down. They suddenly began using a very large bone to ride over and under the hills of bones just as Ed manages to catch up to them, and Ed attempts to catch them, but he is unable to do so since they are really fast on the bone while they mocked him which irritated him so much. Suddenly, Ed gets so exhausted from attempting to catch Malka and Tama, and they manage to escape from him unharmed.

Soon, just as the chase continues in the Elephant Graveyard, Simba, Amani, Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama suddenly meet up with each other again and notice that they've manage to lose Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed, much to their relief. However, they noticed the hyenas catching up to them again which caused them to scream in complete fear, and the cubs continued to escape from them.

While the chase continues, Tojo accidentally tripped himself on the ground and both Banzai and Ed are about to catch him in their jaws and eat him alive just as he screamed in terror, and Amani quickly noticed Tojo being almost about to be under the mercy of the two hyenas and she quickly goes into action in order to save him. Amani quickly headbutts Banzai in his face, quickly tackles Ed in his stomach, and slams them both in the heads brutally while Tojo escapes before she also escapes along with him. Both Amani and Tojo manage to catch up to the others, and the hyenas continue to chase the cubs all over the Elephant Graveyard.

Suddenly, just as the chase continues, the cubs quickly climb up an elephant's skull while the hyenas continue nipping at each of their rears. Once they climb up the elephant's skull, they slide down its spine while they all scream in surprise, and they zip off of the end of the spine and land on a hill of bones. They begin climbing up the hill of bones while the hyenas continue chasing them in order to eat them. Simba, Amani, Tojo, Kula, Chumvi, Tama, and Malka manage to climb up the hill, but Nala ends up slipping on the hill right towards the hyenas just as she screams in terror. Simba suddenly notices Nala is about to be attacked by the hyenas and he quickly goes into action in order to save her. Simba went back down the hill and quickly scratched Shenzi in the cheek before she could eat Nala, and Simba and Nala went back up the hill together and caught up to the others.

The cubs continue to escape from the three hyenas just as they arrive in a cave, and they climb up to another skeleton of an elephant and attempts to climb over it, but they are unable to do so due to the rotting skin from under them break apart so quickly and caused them to fall down back on the ground. They gasp in complete shock upon seeing the three hyenas approaching them slowly, and Simba still attempts to be very brave by attempting to protect his twin sister and their best friends by attempting to roar at the hyenas, but since he was still a young cub, his roar was very hyenas mocked at Simba's attempt to roar at them and insists he should do it again, and Simba tries again to roar, but it suddenly got drowned out by a much more powerful lion roar.

The hyenas suddenly became filled with shock by the peculiar lion roar, and they all suddenly gets brutally attacked by Mufasa who have arrived in the Elephant Graveyard in order to save his children and their best friends, and Simba, Amani, Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama watches him fiercely fights off the hyenas in complete terror while Zazu arrives at the scene. Mufasa then pins the hyenas to the ground while they cower in complete fear and warns them to never come near his son and daughter again, and Shenzi and Banzai pretend that they don't even know Simba and Amani but Ed stupidly nodded which caused Mufasa to roar in anger and the hyena trio then run off in fear.

After the hyena trio ran off, Zazu flew up to Mufasa and nodded at him in satisfaction, but Mufasa glared at him which made him flinch nervously. Simba and Amani then approached their father nervously along with Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama and they attempt to apologize to him for what she did, but he expresses disappointment in them for their insubordination.

"Dad, we're really..." said Simba just as he tried to apologize, but Mufasa suddenly interrupted him.

"You deliberately disobeyed me. Both of you disobeyed my orders." said Mufasa sternly.

"Daddy, we're...we're sorry and..." said Amani just as he tried to apologize, but Mufasa suddenly interrupted her.

"Let's just go back home, everybody." said Mufasa sternly. He began leading his son, his daughter, and their best friends out of the Elephant Graveyard along with Zazu who sadly stared at the cubs.

"We all thought that you were very brave, Simba." whispered Nala while Tama and Kula nodded in agreement.

"And it turns out that Amani was almost being brave just like your dad." whispered Tojo while Malka and Chumvi nodded in agreement.

Simba and Amani began to feel very guilty and depressed for what they did, and their best friends Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama felt very depressed as well. Also, unbeknownst to everybody, Scar has already witnessed the whole thing nearby, and he is very furious by how his plans of assassinating Simba and Amani by having his hyena henchmen Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed has been foiled by his older brother Mufasa and quickly comes up with another plan to seize the throne of the Sunrise Kingdom for himself and become the sovereign.
