Jack and Tony leave the park, hoping that they can lose their tail and meet Ira Gaines. They hope that Gaines can help them stop the next terrorist attack, and it is apparent that they have very little time.

The embassy continues the evacuation. Barnes is concentrating on the evacuation of refugees who fear the resurgence of the Taliban. He is waiting to remove his final soldiers, in case president Keaton is forced to call off the withdrawel. Many of the soldiers aren't happy about risking their lives in the final hours of the occupation, or about the possibility of staying longer, but they follow orders. The sun is setting, whether any of them will be in Afghanistan when the sun rises is anyone's guess.

Rebecca Allen learns who president Keaton's friend is, and his address. She hopes he might have some intel on the people who caused her brother's suicide. Rebecca just needs to convince her Secret Service escort to let her go.

At the hospital Kim tries again to apologize to Jamal's mother Mary, but Mary is still angry that Kim waited so long to call her.

Mary: Why would you wait three hours to tell me my son was hurt?
Kim: No offense, but you're not exactly easy to talk to. You didn't come to our wedding.
Mary: I always thought Jamal could do better.
Kim: And you wonder why we didn't want you in our daughter's life.
Mary: Jamal always had a habit of making bad choices. First he drops out of school to join a gang. After he was incarcerated I tried to convince him that he should find God, but somehow he rejects Christ and chooses Islam. Then he marries a white terrorist.
Kim: Former terrorist. And I was an eco terrorist, not a white nationalist.
