Rebecca tries to convince her mother to let her go see someone.
.
Allen: It is more important for us to be together as a family.
Rebecca: I just want to see him for an hour or so.
Allen: Who are you trying to see?
Rebecca: Just a boy. He doesn't really want any publicity.
Allen: If you and this boy are serious, at some point he'll have to meet your parents.
Rebecca: Please, can I go see him for an hour?
Allen: Fine, but your detail is going with you. She can give you some privacy.
Rebecca: Thank you.

Jack and Tony try to lose their tail. Gaines wouldn't even like Tony protecting him, much less more CTU agents. But that brings up an interesting question. If Gaines is willing to turn himself over to CTU he would have to trust someone, so why just Jack? What kind of deal does he think Jack is authorized to make? At any rate, Jack knows Gaines might be their best chance to stop the next attack, so he and Tony are going to meet with Gaines.

Mason has been checked out by Medical and speaks with Alberta Greene.
.
Greene: Are you okay George?
Mason: I'll be fine. Has Chapelle given anything useful?
Greene: No. My superiors are still deciding whether to give him immunity.
Mason: He didn't hesitate to have me tortured.
Greene: I am more by the book than he is.
Mason: I know. If he gets immunity, will he at least be fired?
Greene: Obviously we don't want a convicted traitor working here, but he is also demanding his full pension.
Mason: Who don't we see if I can get him to talk.
Greene: Maybe you should go home, rest, cool your temper.
Mason: Yeah, why ruin my career over that piece of slime.
.
In truth Mason had no intention of going home, he just knew it was useless to convince Alberta Greene to break the rules. He needed someone else to help him with this.
