(Our new heroes are at the same place we first saw Parker and Maddie at, indicating that the home base of the Blazing Team still stands after all this time)

Taylor: So, how exactly did you get that aura?

Tyson: Don't know. I see it as a blessing, that's all.

Mason: Yeah, well...blessing or not, we got a lot more to deal with than we first realized.

Jay: What exactly are you thinking?

Vikki: What the rest of you should also be thinking about...training!

(We soon see a news report covering yesterday's events)

Reporter: And in other news, after a second day of heavy fighting, U.S. Marines were successfully able to drive North Korean forces out of Seoul. With an additional division arriving soon, hopes are high that we may finally see a return to peace and stability in the region.

(This news is being televised from a hospital, where apparently, Scott just so happens to be wounded there as Wilson comes to visit)

Wilson: Hey.

Scott: Hey.

Wilson: What is this? A hospital room or a greenhouse?

Scott: Well, when you're labeled W.I.A.; that just means your career is over.(He looks saddened at these words)Wilson...

Wilson: Yeah?

Scott: Why is one man spared, while another taken? I'm supposed to have all a soldier ever needs, but now...(He seems to be on the verge of tears. A few days later, we see Jay and Taylor at the workplace of another familiar face)

Jay: So, how'd it feel? Having Belloc for an uncle?

Taylor: He...didn't wanna talk about it.(The two soon notice Leo being thrown out of the building)

Jay: And I think I see another reason why I shouldn't bring it up to him.

Leo: Aw, come on Mr. Shaw. You do not know what you're missing...

Henry: And return to a life that had me used by someone else? Never!

Leo: Fine. But there will be some retribution for this upset!

Jay: Looks like the Overlord isn't stopping at five new generals for his Dark Army...

Taylor: I know. But if Uncle Shaw decided not to take the deal, then who will?

(Meanwhile, another news broadcast is being shown- depicting how Parker and Maddie remodeled their old HQ after their wedding. Needless to say, Scott isn't impressed; something the Overlord senses)

Overlord of Chaos: Negative emotions. And from the looks of things, I may finally attain what I desire!

Ariadne: Uh, that's great and all, master. But, what about a power-up?

Leo: Those guys have gotten stronger in the past few days.

Johnny: I think I know the kind of upgrade you guys are thinking about, and I know just who you may be interested in...(Back at the hospital)

Scott: Doc, when's this suit going to be ready for action? I don't need to waste another moment while my friends steal what should be mine!

Dr. Grayson: Easy now, boy. I think your conscience is running away with your heart.

Scott: Who cares?

Johnny: Yeah, doc. Why aren't you spouting out some good news?

Scott: You?!

Johnny: Who else, pal.

Scott: Oh, your actions have made it clear we are far from...

Johnny: But Scotty, I really am on your side today. I've come to offer you a new life- a better life. Oh, I know you. How valiantly you served, how horribly you've suffered. You were to retire distinguished, not in disgrace. But now, here you are...

Scott: If you're looking to rebuild the Nexus, Parker had it stashed separately.

Johnny: Okay... Well, we both know from experience that the dark shards have power all their own.

Scott: So?(Johnny gives a wicked smirk, and the two men come to the same kind of conclusion. Later that night, the HQ gets a surprise visitor who immediately finds where Parker has stowed the shards away, taking only the dark ones. The next day, our heroes are unaware of what has transpired, continuing to train)

Jay: Whoo! I can barely keep up with you, M.

Mason: Don't worry, man. You'll do so eventually.

(Meanwhile, Parker is frantically searching for the dark shards, unaware that another friend of his has turned traitor)

Taylor: Something up, Teach?

Parker: They're missing!

Boys: Huh?

Maddie: What's...(She soon realizes what he's talking about)Oh no!

Vikki: You don't mean...

Parker: Afraid so.

Tyson: Bro, what's missing?

Parker: The dark shards of the Nexus.

Tyson: What?

Vikki: It's the source of both light and dark powers.

Maddie: And if rebuilt, it could potentially threaten the whole world.

Mason: Sounds like only the dark shards were stolen.

Jay: If the Overlord didn't want to use the Nexus, why steal the shards of darkness?(The gang soon realizes the answer to that question)

All: The Dark Army!(Back at the temple, the eleven generals are already ecstatically using their new upgrades)

Ariadne: Ha! This. Is. Great! If those heroes try to stop us, they'll be toast. If not, the whole world is ours!(Laughing evilly)

Zerg: Either way, we triumph!(He notices something)Say, where's our new comrade?

Overlord of Chaos: I have sent him on another task. With the power of the Dark Nexus Stone, preparations are assuredly completed. Now, my army will have access to more of the shards in a spot I have chosen...(That 'spot' is where Scott is now, and so are our new heroes)

Parker: Scott!

Scott: This doesn't concern you.

Wilson: If it involves our closest friend, it very much does.(The boys and Maddie are shocked to discover that Scott's yo-yo has the aura of the Overlord emanating from within)If the Overlord is using his power to somehow control you...

Scott: He's helping me be who I want to be!

Wilson: But Scott...

Scott: Why is one man spared, while another taken? I was supposed to have all a soldier ever needed, but now... Now, I have something I can use all I want!(He gets into a stance the new heroes are familiar with)And by the power of Darkness, inner beast arise!(His transformation looks like he's undergoing pure emotional torture the whole time, shedding a single tear during the process, and when he's finished instead of an imposing figure, we see someone whose stance is tired and limp, like they've been drained of energy.)

Mason: Whoa! Th-that's like an Eagle Man!(Jay soon enough steps up to the plate to face this now-deranged menace)

Jay: I looked up to you!

Scott: Of course, you did.(As they fight, Scott completes his mission)

Jay: Why use the Dark Nexus?

Scott: It's not just for me, but for us!(Jay is shocked)Oh, guess you haven't noticed yet, huh? I'm of the Dark Army now!

Jay: The Overlord can't be trusted, Scotty. Once you, Johnny, Jane, Otto, and the rest have done all he wants, you'll all be next year's trash!

Scott: That's what you think!

(The fight is truly an intense battle between Eagle and Hawk. Unfortunately, Jay can't take much more)

Scott: Aw, sputtering out already?

Jay: No. Just waiting for my second wind!(Now, his yo-yo and he is enveloped in a powerful aura)Chozai Taisen!

Vikki: By gaining the confidence to soar above his physical limitations, Jay seems to have unlocked his own potential...(Jay gets enough energy to push back against his foe, forcing him to retreat)

Jay: Hang on! I know your wickedness is not your doing, and should you ever find the goodness within you, you are welcome to return.

Scott: NEVER!

(The others join Jay as he hangs his head in shame)

Vikki: For the record, I knew you'd had it in you all along.

Jay: Greatness?

Vikki: No...better than that: Goodness.

Jay: Thanks. But I'm afraid we haven't rescued Scott from the darkness. But I know we haven't seen the last of him, nor of this Army of Darkness...(We soon get a tour of Union City but pause at several turns to see people with reptilian faces, mammal faces, fish faces, amphibian faces, insect faces, and bird faces)Because now that he has the Dark Nexus, the Overlord can rally his army to achieve his goal of conquering our world! We don't know how many minions he has in this army, but there's at least one thing we know... They could be anywhere.

Parker: They could be anyone.
