Q: Thanks for the chapter!
A: Thank YOU for reading it!
Q: Khota should've been the MC instead of Takashi
A: Real and true, even Saya was like "What are you a manga protagonist?" when he explained his back story. Alas, the average Japanese boy would want to relate more to the "cool" guy than to the pudgy guy.
Q: I was wondering how you were going to implement the outside view of the cybernetics and skills that V is going to get. Because well how do you explain the sudden appearance of the rocket launcher arm or replacement spine that are decades more advanced than anything people are making at the moment. Or how she has a wide variety of skills that seem impossible to learn in eight lifetimes let alone by someone's 3rd,4th year in high school. But it seems that it turns out that V the tomboy with the body of a Amazon that can crush skulls with her thighs is also a super genius who will discover the answer on how to beat the heat death of the universe. Also I feel like it would be a little interesting if V just didn't have a inventory at all and with her not really purchasing skills anymore to stay more safe when the apocalypse starts. As it would make for some interesting interactions based off how she is the major protecter of her harem with minimal skill in combat with a gun just to whip out the mantis blade when close to her next victim.
A:
Cybernetics: Well, it's pretty well known in-game that you can get flesh-like cybernetics which are easy to hide and are only detectable via scanner, hell the wife of the Coyote Cojo bar guy had pretty much full-body cybernetic replacements to look like someone else but they were barely noticeable. Also, the fact that most cyberware goes inside your body or hidden by clothes means that it's not going to be obvious.
Experience and Skills: Well, that's another thing that's not noticeable, if you see your homie do a difficult math problem you're not going to immediately go "Damn, so you're like a superhuman with a math degree, huh?", you're just going to assume "Wow, this dude's good at math."
Most of that stuff is only noticeable from V's point of view, from everyone else's she's just a hot blonde who probably has a black belt in Judo and is incredibly athletic with decent smarts.
"But it seems that it turns out that V the tomboy with the body of a Amazon that can crush skulls with her thighs is also a super genius who will discover the answer on how to beat the heat death of the universe."
*Nods head sagely* Of course, of course. I'm glad you're catching on.
No Inventory and No more Skills: Yeah the inventory thing is retarded and doesn't really mesh with the experience and Cyberware stuff, the skills stuff tho. That's one of the main parts of the story, her getting skills from the system. If I wanted to make just V without cybernetics goes to Highschool of The Dead I would've made that fic(that's kinda interesting tho I probably should), but I definitely won't go ham on the cyberware. Playing the new ending made me realize how fucked it is to be a normal human against someone with chrome.(Still most cyberpunk skills are broken anyway so she's still gonna be strong)
Q: Is every perk and skill going to come attached with a memory dumps?
A: Most iconic skills contain the memories of the person who made it Iconic, so while most Iconic skills are extra strong. They also have that downside.
Q: how big is Vs harem gunna be?
A: Probably just Rei, Saeko, Saya, and Orange. I've kind of realized that most of the other characters are hot and V would definitely want to fuck them but building a relationship from that is not that interesting. I believe Rei, Saya and Saeko are the main girls who have the most personality ergo the ones that could actually be fun to write.
Q: Author I gave a suggestion, instead of making shidou a main antagonist make Rei's father kill him after the out break but dies to zombies. Now I know what your thinking why? Well because he is still going to be harassing his family while in prison and after the out break Rei's father has had enough and goes out of his way to kill him and protect his family. Then he gets a hero's death his wife would be a widow and in swoops the protagonist with her charm and comfort
A: While I like this in concept I'm sure I would start thinking "wait this doesn't make sense" while writing it, one because it doesn't fit with V's personality and second because it would probably ruin the relationship with Rei.
I'll keep it in mind but probably won't apply it.
Q: When are you going to add more Cyberpunk stuff?
Will V become a cyborg before or during the zombie apocalypse?
Will she also have some advancements added to make her more sexual active, spice up bedroom fun, and enhance her sperms' fertility?
A: Ending of Saeko Arc. Before most likely. Not probable, she's plenty good as she is already.
Q: Cyber skeleton?
A: It would probably be the easiest Cyberware to add, so I'm thinking probably yes.

"Catch Wrestling"
A long gone art, I'm afraid. Most people don't do it and it's become merely a submissions style in most MMA gyms I know of.
"Pro Wrestling"
Honestly, I once read an Isekai about a pro wrestler and thought "Damn that's the coolest thing I can think of" just a dude piledriving an armored demon or some shit. Goes hard. Should probably make a fic with some Pro Wrestling or even strong-style stuff(Strong style is basically working pro wrestling like it's a legitimate fighting style, so using realistic moves mainly).
"Guns"
Been using the website a lot lately, not even for fanfic stuff but just browsing shit. Thanks a lot for the recommendation!
"Inventory"
Gone for good, No inventory. Source: It came to me in a dream.
"Crafting"
Definitely not even close to AI, BUT, this is a big but. If a certain blonde gets certain cybernetic implants and somehow manages to reverse engineer how they work, maybe this type of technology can be applied to other things. *Wink Wink Wink with Both eyes*
For the Omnicrafting Table, probably a difficult thing to apply and make without Stark Billions on hand, even certain rich rockerboy who loves to throw money at problems don't have that size of eddies.
"Disco Elysium"
PERCEPTION [Formidable: Success] — You notice the grin on the author's face, he's clearly heard of the game you're talking about.
RETHORIC [Easy: Success] — His grin implies that he has positive opinions about the game, he likes it.
HALF LIGHT[Trivial: Failiure] — He's not thinking about the game, he's laughing at YOU! Beat the shit out of him.
"Tsunoda"
In martial arts finger bending and such is called small joint manipulation, it's pretty much illegal in all MMA organizations because of how easy it is to break or bend a small joint therefore stopping the fight or just straight up ripping off a finger(happened in Bellator once by accident, the finger ended up being inside the fighters glove).
Breaking a finger while you're being pumped with adrenaline is nothing, has happened to me. But when you're dry out of adrenaline and not expecting it, it hurts like a bitch. As my coach said to me once, the punch that knocks you out is the one you're not expecting.
"Spatial Awareness"
Yeup, that's why Saeko's Arc is important. V knows the muscle memory but she doesn't have the actual fight instincts necessary. Thankfully a little masochistic beatings by resident sworswoman can go a long way.
"Escalation of Trouble"
Hehehehehehe, yes. Never miss the moment to turn an argument into a fistfight to the death.
"Knowing Shido"
Well, people talk. I can think of at least one instance were I've heard someone talk about an event that happened to a friend of the family or something were they turned out to be shitty people and got got. Yet without thinking about it I'd probably forget in a week or so.
"I'll see you... in the next one"
Hopefully, I'm not too late. As that one reptile named soldier would say. Kept you waiting, huh?
Enjoy the chapter!
I stared at Saeko as she slowly stepped forward, little by little she placed small steps to close the distance between us.
Mimicking her motions I took a few steps as well, the steps became shorter and shorter as our gazes met.
SWOOSH
A quick vertical swing to the top of my head was dodged when I stepped to the side and turned my body, not wasting any time Saeko reloaded her strikes.
SWOOSH
Yet again the blade hit nothing but air as I managed to duck under the lateral strike, my hands stuck out at Saeko to grab her but she was ready and stepped back.
I took a deep breath as I tried to not let the frustration of not being able to grasp the slippery purple-haired girl overwhelm me, I saw said girl smile as she saw me do it.
"I think that's enough for now, V-san."
I dropped my stance and let gravity take me to the floor, laying down I looked at the swordswoman.
"How are you so fast?"
Saeko did a seiza and sat down next to me, the bokken placed on her right side with care.
"When father started my training I was 5 years old, by the time I was a teenager we were sparring every day with real blades."
That information made me sit up.
"Huh?! You and your dad were trying to kill each other?!"
Saeko giggled as she shook her head.
"To an outsider, it might seem that way. The Busujima style is formed around three concepts; fluidity, control, and void."
The purple-haired girl stood up taking her bokken in hand, at the same time she threw an expectant look my way.
Deciding to humor the lovely lady, I stood up and took a stance.
"Try and punch me."
I looked at her awkwardly.
"I... don't know how to strike..."
Saeko smiled.
"Even better."
Deciding that I might as well try, I ran forward with a wide swing.
In three steps Saeko spun lightly on her toes as she weaved under my punch, I felt the coldness of the wooden sword "slice" my throat in passing as the motion was completed and she stood behind me.
"Fluidity, move like the Koi fish swimming up the waterfall."
Turning back to look at her I went back to my makeshift striking stance, she waved me to attack with her sword.
Obliging her, I yet again swung.
With the side of her blade she parried my strike upwards breaking my guard and leaving my head defenseless, in a swift motion which seemed to carry more strength than I've seen out of her yet she swung down.
Almost unconsciously I closed my eyes, unlike what I expected I was not greeted by the feeling of my skull being crushed to pieces but by a light tap.
I opened my eyes and saw the charming smile of the purple-haired girl.
"Control, be like the Tiger who stalks their prey and delivers a single deadly strike. If I were to cut Father I would have to relinquish my title as heir of the Busujima style just like if Father were to cut me he would have to relinquish his of Master."
My surprised expression must have shown because Saeko lightly tapped my nose with her sword as she chuckled.
"Don't be too worried about me, I'm plenty strong."
"I wasn't worried or anything..."
I could sense myself pouting as I felt embarrassed for underestimating her, Saeko simply shook her head at me.
"And void?"
"By knowing what exists, we know what does not exist. That is void."
What?
"What?"
Saeko chuckled.
"Void reminds you to search other ways and learn of everything you can so that you might find that which has not been made yet, it is the way the Busujima style has kept moving forward through generations."
"So, it's like a reminder to keep trying your best?"
The purple-haired girl blinked a few times, afterwards, she gave a full-on belly laugh.
A few more seconds passed and she wiped a tear from her eye.
"I've never heard Void described like that, your mind is truly unique V-san. "
"I feel like I'm being called dumb."
Saeko shook her head as she smiled.
"You're not, I merely appreciate your creative thinking."
I smiled at the girl.
"I'll believe you for now."
"Thank you."
I sat back down and lay on the floor, Saeko yet again sat beside me.
"Thank you."
Saeko repeated herself.
"Yeah, I heard you."
"No, thank you... for giving me your friendship..."
I looked towards the girl who now had a conflicted expression on her, I sat up to be able to converse better.
"What do you mean?"
The purple-haired girl rubbed her left hand with her right as she took her time thinking.
"I... used to think that I didn't deserve to have anyone by my side. Because of how- No, of what I am."
My face must have shown my worry as I scooted over closer to her, I laid my hand on hers and she looked up at me.
"Saeko, don't speak of yourself like that."
I could feel her clenching her hand in a fist as her eyes looked away from mine.
"But it's true... I- When-"
I could see the frustration on the girl's face as she tried her hardest to spit out the words she was choking on.
"Breathe, It's okay. I'm not going anywhere."
Saeko did as instructed and took a deep breath, exhaling slowly she looked up at me her eyes glistening as she held back tears.
"I'm scared... that you're going to hate me when you discover what I am..."
I hugged the girl and I felt her go stiff, I started to caress her head.
"Saeko, I will never hate you."
I felt no noise coming from the girl but a wet sensation covered my shoulder, even now she seemed like she was holding back her emotions.
"Thank you..."
Pulling back, all the evidence that the girl might have been crying were her slightly reddened eyes and a wet spot on my school shirt.
"Don't force yourself, okay? Whenever you're ready, I'll be here for you."
The girl nodded with a small smile at my words, as I went to stand up I remembered something.
"Wait, you never answered how you were so fast."
Standing up and picking up her bokken, Saeko giggled.
"Precision and timing beat power and speed, I know you're trying to grab me and where you're aiming to grab. Your Judo is predictable to someone who also knows Judo."
I raised an eyebrow.
"You know Judo?"
"Judo, Karate, Tae-Kwon-Do, Sambo, Muay Thai, Boxing, Savate, Wrestling, Jujitsu, and many more. Void, remember?"
The girl raised both hands and started counting with each finger until she ran out.
I blinked a few times as I processed the information.
"You might be the prettiest killing machine I've ever seen."
Saeko giggled loudly and blushed while covering her mouth.
"Thank you..."
Getting over the blush she stood in the middle of the Dojo, lifting her sword in her usual Kendo stance she looked at me expectantly.
Sighing, I stood in front of her.
"You haven't been using your family style, right?"
"It would be hard to hold back when you're making a face like you're enjoying it."
"Can we try it once?"
Curiosity got the best of me as I asked the question, Saeko's face blushed as I said those words.
"As you wish."
I was soundly defeated in 10 seconds as Saeko moved in ways that I couldn't move fast enough to stop.
BAMF
The sword struck the side of my face and I went down as everything seemed to be shaking and spinning.
"Oh no! V-san I apologize!"
The purple-haired girl was quickly next to me with a worried expression on her face, I smiled at her.
"It's fine, I asked for it after all."
I couldn't hold myself up on one knee and fell on my back, I saw Saeko standing up out of the corner of my eye.
"Wait a second, I'll be right back with an emergency kit!"
And so she started to run as I stayed on the floor, face hurting and eyes still spinning.

"Nice..."
The last thing my eyes saw was that message before I passed out.
"Blondes are obviously better!"
"Oh my dear friend, you are wrong. This is just a point of view because they are scarce in Japan, pale brunettes and exotic hair colors are obviously better."
Hirano pointed his finger at me.
"But that is your opinion because you lived in a place where you didn't lack blondes!"
I shrugged smugly and Khota shook his fist in rage.
"Hey."
I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned to look, I instantly recognized the face of the kid whose finger I broke the other day, I saw Hirano become a bit stiff out of the corner of my eye.
"Do you need something?"
The teen glared at me as he tried to stick out his chest.
"Come with me."
Not being able to hold it in, I scoffed at him.
"Or what?"
I could see his face contort in anger as he looked at me, biting his lower lip with rage the teen contained back any insult he wanted to throw at me.
"Please, the boss wants to see you."
I raised my eyebrow at the words Boss, looking at Hirano I saw his surprised face.
"What's this about?"
The chubby boy panicked a bit before reigning in his emotions.
"U-Um, he's probably talking about Momogawa Akira. A 3rd year who is rumored to be involved in, um, not good stuff..."
Well, it ain't that interesting.

The sound of the quest made me jump a bit on my seat but without waiting I opened it.

~Information
Since there's a number next to the quest I would assume that means there's more after this, taking a nice long breath I stood up with a sigh. I even saw the punk flinch a bit and I couldn't hold back the smirk.
"Take me to your boss then."
The teen almost snarled as turned around and began walking, unexpectedly next to me stood Hirano who was almost shaking.
"You know you don't have to come with, right?"
The chubby boy nodded but still stood straight.
"I'm not letting my friend go into the wolves' den alone."
I chuckled.
"That would have been a cool line if you weren't seconds away from pissing your pants."
"I-I'm not going to piss my pants!"
I laughed at the outrage Hirano felt, I'd forgotten what it was to talk with a male friend.
"B-But can we stop real quick by the bathroom, please?"
Unable to hold back I started to have a belly laugh.
"Come on, man! I have needs too!"
After a piss stop at the bathroom, we arrived at the supposed meeting place, entering the place I saw a couple of uninteresting students surrounding what I assumed was the third year in question.
A black-haired teen possessing a crew cut with tattoos underneath his clothes, looking at me as I arrived the teen put out a cigarette that had been hanging from his mouth.
Tsunoda stood forward and bowed, looking up he frowned at me.
"I brought her, aniki."
Whatever the 3rd year was about to say was quickly shot down as I interrupted him.
"Look, let's cut to the chase. What do you want?"
I could see his facial veins protrude as his anger rose from my words, standing up to full height I realized he was taller than me.
"You beat up my juniors. Maybe you gaijin don't understand how stuff works around these parts but you don't go around beating up newbie members of the Taiji clan."
Taking a few steps closer the man loomed over me, his hand placed on my shoulder while the anger remained on his face.
"So, I'm hoping you're willing to pay some type of remuneration."
I looked at his hand and then back at his face, I couldn't help the shit-eating grin from showing on my face.
"And if I don't?"
The hand of the man started clamping down harshly on my shoulder, and a predatory smile formed on his face.
"Well, I've heard your little cousin is very pretty. I bet she could work well on a hostess bar with an undefined time contract."
A twitch in my hand informed me of the sudden violent reaction I almost had but managed to get under control, he's doing a good job pissing me off but I should get some answers before I do anything excessive.
"Taiji Clan, huh?"
"That's right, one of the major clans of the region."
I pushed the man's hand off my shoulder and gave a deadpan expression.
"Don't know them."
Visible anger appeared on the man's face as the veins on his forehead seemed about to pop.
"Is that so..?"
I nodded.
"It is so, must be some shitty no-name organization in the end."
I didn't give a shit about the Yakuza, but this guy did going by the fact that he's made his whole personality into this.
A few button pushes were all I needed.
"You piece of shit..."
The man quickly raised his fist and struck me without any skill, compared to previous encounters I could the see punch and its trajectory. I could predict what he would follow it up with.
As you may notice I said struck me, well that's because I let the punch hit me in the nose.
BAMF
In an exaggerated manner, I threw myself backward and impacted a bunch of chairs, this was both for theatrical effect and to avoid being hit by the follow-up shot.
"Valerie-san!"
I heard Khota shout and I smiled, all according to keikaku.
I stood up from between the chairs and passed a hand through my face, I felt my nose was twisted in an angle and there was blood dripping from it.
The rush of pain reached my brain which quickly converted the chemicals, I covered my mouth to hide my disgusting smile.
"Hirano."
The boy did a salute and stood straight.
"Y-Yesh, ma'am!"
I removed the hand from my mouth letting my smile show, out of the corner of my eye I saw the 3rd year get a chill and tremble.
"This counts as a self-defense situation, don't it?"
I saw the chubby boy understand what I meant and he smiled a wicked smile, I've seen it before on his face but nowhere near as clear as I did now.
"Yes, it does under Japanese law."
That was all I needed to know, Lucky me for justified violence~
I walked towards the Yakuza-wannabe and he swung at me, he was so slow, like he was moving underwater compared to Saeko.
She felt like a thunderclap, a sudden movement, and if you couldn't predict it you were dead.
I weaved under the arm of the 3rd year, a surprised expression came over the man's face as I grabbed his wrist.
Using my other arm I weaved it under the armpit of the man while still holding onto his wrist, dropping my bodyweight I made him fall with me[1].
CRACK
"AAAAGH!"
Both of our weights combined hit the floor and I felt his shoulder dislocate, or maybe break, hopefully, it's a break.
Standing up with quickness yet elegance, I looked down at the man as he grabbed his arm in pain.
I placed my foot lightly on the man's throat, this made him try to push me off. Yeah, that's not gonna happen, buddy, I could stomp your head to bits.
"Listen to me, and listen to me well. You're leaving with just one broken bone today because that's the acceptable amount of retaliation that I can provide. If you come to me or any of my close ones with a little group of 3 or more, just know, you will be spending the rest of your life rehabilitating your broken bones."
I pushed my foot harder on the man's throat, at this point I could see the buildup of cold sweat on his forehead.
"Understood?"
He wanted to bite back, to show that even in this moment he was still strong. But a teenager is still a teenager, as soon I started to put more pressure and the sound of popping from his neck sounded around the room he immediately started to nod.
I smirked, I enjoyed this feeling of having someone under me, of being better.
'Narcissism is not a good look...'
I turned around as I felt a whisper in my ear, I saw the students around the classroom with a scared face, nothing else.
Well, that was weird. Looking down I saw crew cut turning purple so I removed my boot from his neck, He quickly took a deep breath and backed away crawling into a corner of the classroom.
I saw the guy that brought me here quickly scamper away, whether out of fear or something else was left unknown.
"Anyone got a mirror?"
I looked around as I asked the question and quickly noticed a familiar face, light orange hair, pretty yellow eyes, and clearly not a 3rd year.
"Orange."
"Huh?! Who are you calling an orange?!"
Oops, I said it out loud. The orange-haired girl walked up to me with a small hand mirror and an annoyed expression on her face. As I went to grab the mirror she quickly pulled away.
"I'm Miku Yuki, not orange."
"Yes, yes. Now hand over the thing."
"Hmpf..."
She handed me the mirror and I looked at my nose, damn that looks pretty bad. I touched it a little bit and the pain gave me a nice chill down my spine, my brain quickly went to the fact that I could probably make myself cum just by touching something that hurts.
Wow, I'm like the ultimate M.
"Yuki-chan, help me a bit with this."
"E-Eh? Yuki-chan?"
I promptly ignored her anime-like reaction and handed her the mirror, I then grabbed her hands and made her hold it up to my face so I could see what I was doing.
"Okay, let's do this."
Using both my hands I put them to the sides of my crooked nose and in a sudden motion I straightened it out.
CRACK
"Oh! Shit!"
I quickly covered my face and lowered my upper body like I was bowing, I could feel my tongue out of my mouth as I cried tears of pleasure.
Waiting a few seconds for the pleasure to go away I stood straight again, Yuki stood there with shock on her face at what just had happened.
Ignoring her yet again I took the mirror off her hands and looked at myself in it.
"Hmm, that's good enough."
Closing the lid on the thing I threw it back to the orange, I mean, Yuki Miku.
"Thanks for the help, see you around."
I turned my back and motioned Khota to follow me with my hand, I saw him smile with his normal pudgy smile as he nodded.
"Valerie-san, you're so cool."
I smirked at the boy and then proceeded to blow my nose, snot and blood shot out of the orifices as I heard a few "Eww!" in the background.
"I'm just mentally unstable, actually."
And with that, the recess bell rang at the end of lunch.
【「Chain Quest: I'm the boss of this Gym」Completed!】
I waved goodbye at Khota as we parted ways with him getting into a Rolls-Royce, I expected money since he has a gun range but somehow just the image of my pudgy buddy getting into a quarter-million dollar car was too abnormal for me.
"That dude is an anime protagonist in another reality..."
Walking towards the entrance away from the parking lot, I saw a head of purple hair standing there.
I grinned to myself and my mischievous prank started forming as I closed in on the girl.
Changing the tone of my voice and slightly making it lower, I approached from behind.
"Onee-san~! Interested in going for some tea with me~?"
I could see Saeko's face scrunching up at the words as she tried to ignore me.
"I would rather not."
I quickly wrapped my arms around her in a hug with my head laying on the crook of her neck and switched to my normal voice.
"Come on, Saeko~! You don't want to have some tea with me~?"
The purple-haired girl twitched but relaxed as she saw my face over her shoulder, realizing what had happened the swordwoman shook her head.
"You're quite the trickster, V-san."
I chuckled as I hugged her, my arms completely wrapped around her body.
"I thought you'd be more prepared for an attack, Saeko."
The last thing I saw was a small smile on the girl's face before a small push on my foot destabilized me, as I was in the process of switching my weight to my other foot in order to stabilize myself, I felt that foot rapidly get dragged forward making me fall on my ass and breaking my hold on the girl.
The beautiful girl then pointed her Kendo stick at my face whilst still hidden in its bag as she gave me a sweet smile.
"What some may see as an advantageous position may also leave you with openings which you are unaware of."
I rubbed my ass while I stood up, I chuckled at the words and pushed away the sword.
"In plain Japanese?"
A charming smile appeared on her face.
"I'm always prepared."
"Your hubris will be your downfall."
"That only applies to people who are not aware of their own limits and capabilities."
"Damn it, why are you so cool? Might as well just strike a pose at this point."
Saeko gave me a sultry smile as she grabbed the hem of her long skirt and lifted it slowly showing most of her leg and getting dangerously close to the holy place and what seemed like black underwear.
"Is this good?"
I may not have Kiroshi Implants on my eyes but you can bet your ass I quickly analyzed every single part of the long leg before realizing we were in public, I quickly blushed and closed in on the girl to cover her from whatever prying eyes might see.
"H-Hey! Pull that down people are going to see!"
The purple-haired girl giggled and did as ordered, she then got even closer and stared right into my eyes.
"Is little V jealous that other people might see?"
I huffed and turned my face away, I was not embarrassed mind you. I was merely surprised that she would even ask something like that straight up, yep, It definitely had nothing to do with the blush spreading throughout my face and neck or the other part of my body to which blood was flowing.
Saeko giggled at my reaction but I decided to ignore her and definitely not be bothered by being teased, coughing into my hand, I decided to change topics.
"So, were you waiting for me?"
The purple-haired nodded.
"I had free time since Sensei took over for me today, since there's mostly freshmen I thought we could spend some time together." The swordswoman gave me the equivalent of puppy eyes as she leaned forward with her hands behind her back "If you don't mind that is?"
I smiled at the action.
"When you do all that there's no way for me to say no, you know?"
Saeko proceeds to nod sagely with a small smile on her face.
"Of course, the plan is for you to be unable to reject my offer after all. One Strike Certain Death."
I chuckled at the girl's antics.
"I didn't expect you to be quite like this when I first met you."
The purple-haired girl looked at me with questioning and almost sad eyes.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Well, from your looks I expected a cool older beauty who goes Ara Ara. Instead, I got a cute girl who's into swords, teasing, and blushes when you compliment her."
Saeko's cheeks gained a small amount of pink dusting as she rubbed the handle of her Kendo sword.
"Is that a bad thing?"
I shook my head as a smirk remained on my lips.
"Not at all, just goes to show I shouldn't judge a book by its hot and sexy cover."
The swordswoman giggled at my words and I saw the previous sad expression dissipate like it was never there in the first place.
"Let's go, you still have training to go through."
I did a mock salute towards Saeko and nodded with a serious face.
"Yes, ma'am."
The girl in question merely shook her head and began walking, I quickly caught up to her and we began walking next to each other while talking about mindless topics such as classes and her club.
Eventually, we reached the entrance to her dojo, as we approached I noticed suspicious men standing around the door. My instincts took over and I tried to get in front of Saeko, my movement was quickly stopped by the girl herself as she lightly placed the Kendo stick against my chest.
"Good afternoon, gentlemen." Saeko spoke before I could even think of opening my mouth.
The men walked up and slowly formed a circle around the both of us, my hands clenched and unclenched unintentionally as my brain went straight to what I could do to take them down.
Yakuza, they had to be. The suits and the barely noticeable irezumi underneath clothes meant that this was not just another run-in with some thugs but actual dangerous people, I looked at the collar of their suits and saw a gold button with an emblem.
A male with black hair swept back stood at the front of the five men, his facial expressions were marred with a poker face as the other men gave us light glares.
"Busujima-san, good afternoon. We are here to collect our payment."
Saeko nods and begins walking inside, she motions me to follow her but doesn't say a word. As we enter she leaves me at the entrance of the Dojo and moves to an unknown part of it, when she returns in her hand lays an envelope.
I want to ask questions, of course, but just seeing the seriousness on her face I can tell that now wouldn't be the right time for that. Opening the door Saeko steps outside and I follow suit, extending the envelope the man took it and checked its contents.
Inside it were a bunch of bills, yet the expression on the man's face didn't show any glee about it.
"Where is the interest?"
Saeko's expression remained stoic.
"They will be delivered later."
The man's eyes passed over us as he pocketed the money, snapping his fingers two men walked forward.
"That is what your father told us before, yet here we are again. We will need an incentive in order to believe you this time, I'm afraid."
A bald man and a man with a scar on his cheek began to walk forward, they were quickly stopped as the purple-haired girl swung her covered Kendo stick down in front of them.
Saeko took the cover off her shinai and held it to the side, following suit I took off my jacket and rolled up my sleeves.
"I'm afraid that I can't let you do that, please reconsider." The swordswoman said with a cold tone in her voice and with eyes that showed a cutting glare.
If confrontation came, I was ready. I could feel 「Analysis」working in the background as I saw places where I could destabilize them in order to throw them, I also knew that if push came to shove and I had to do something extreme I had the「Ittō Hissatsu」.
A few tense seconds passed, the Yakuza's eyes darted across his companions and a realization seemed to come to him. The man clicked his tongue, turned around, and began walking away.
"You've got until Friday, I will not be so lenient with you anymore."
Saeko didn't move nor reply, she seemed stuck with the weapon in her hand until the men retreated to a black car and drove off. I looked her over and saw her knuckles were white as she gripped her sword tightly, lightly I grabbed hold of her hand.
"It's okay, they're gone."
I felt the muscles in her forearm and hand slowly relax as her head turned down, a multitude of expressions passed by her face as she seemed to be trying to find words before she could speak.
"Thank you, and I'm sorry." Her expression was filled with undecipherable shame and sorrow.
"What do you mean?"
"I'm thankful that you're willing to stand by my side even against someone you don't know, and I'm sorry for bringing my troubles to you."
"You don't need to apologize for that, we're friends and friends help each other."
I looked at the face of the girl in front of me, she passed me a cigarette and I took a huff.
"Just friends, then?"
I smirked at her.
"Who knows? Maybe you'll get lucky, Judy."
The girl with multicolor hair smiled at me and pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear, she was cute but hurt on the inside. She was like me, I could feel that.
"Oh yeah?"
But I knew that if I stuck too close I would get hurt, I knew this was momentary. And yet I closed in on her, our lips touched and cigarette smoke created an ethereal scene. As I parted my lips from her I could see thousands of emotions, adorations for a thug like me, sadness for something that I didn't understand, a tender melancholy, and fear of being honest.
"Yeah."
I fell to the ground, gasped, and took deep breaths. My head was splitting, like someone taking a hammer to a nail. I covered my eyes, the light burned and the sounds were too rough and loud.
"V-san!"
I heard a girl's voice, I knew her. Judy, no, Saeko. Judy wasn't here, she left me after all.
Electronic sound blasted in my brain, I knew this sound. It was a song, a song by someone I know.
Opening my eyes slightly greeted me with a head of blonde hair and green eyes who squatted next to me, her eyes looking melancholic as she looked over my figure.
"She couldn't handle being the other dog licking my wounds, yet I knew that would happen. As you do as well, don't you V?"
And then, black.
The older man sighed, his phone next to his ear as he looked at a quaint — at least for him — Japanese house.
"Are you sure this is the right place?"
The woman could be heard scoffing at him.
"You can doubt a lot of things about me but never doubt my info."
The man grumbled a bit but relented, on his hand two large cases which were almost as tall as him. Looking at his phone he realized the "friend" of THAT man had hung up on him, yet again he sighed.
"Fucking Silverhand..."
"Excuse me can I help you?" A voice called to him from the side.
Turning around he saw a younger girl with brown hair and some kind of long spear thingy hanging off her back, oh, also a school uniform.
"Oh, uh? Shit, I should've hired a translator. Umm, I'm looking for..." He took a piece of paper out of his pocket and began reading out loud "Valerie Joan León, do you know her by any chance?"
Some kind of recognition seemed to pass by the girl's eyes as she looked the older man up and down, in her best attempt of English she asked him.
"Etto.. Name what you?"
He was used to overseas fans not being able to speak English very well so he didn't show any reaction, instead, he took out a small presentation card which he used in business meetings. He had heard the Japanese seemed to trust this kind of thing more.
The brown-haired girl took the card and read it out loud.
"Kerī Yūrodain..?"
Footnotes(A.k.a the techniques performed):
[1] Ude-hishigi-waki-gatame - Armpit arm-entanglement
The version used in this chapter is the illegal in-competition one where after you complete the lock you drop your body weight to the floor along with the opponent guaranteeing a break. For example search on YouTube "Hwang Hee-Tae's illegal waki-gatame" and for an interesting watch I recommend "Old Judo was CRIPPLING" by Chadi
Author's Note
Kept you waiting, huh?
Shitty repeated jokes aside, thanks for reading. If you're reading my other gayer story and you saw the last author's note you know I've been having a rough time but hey. Since I've got nothing better to do I might as well just write(he says after taking months to write 5k words).
I'm back playing Cyberpunk too! I've forgotten how great that game was, but man. The new ending is cruel to my poor little heart
[SPOILERS ON PHANTOM LIBERTY AHEAD]
I sided with Reed and got the cure thingy surgery, and damn they make 2 years look like 10 after you wake up from a coma. What do you mean everyone has moved on? Fuck man, this shit hit hard. Especially the call to Judy where she tells you she's married now, real Boku Dake ga Inai Machi(Erased for the normies) vibes.
Just one happy ending is all I ask for, and yet...
Also, Aurore Cassell is so fucking hot and I'm so sad you can't run away together and become international criminals.
[SPOILERS ON PHANTOM LIBERTY END]
So yeah, that's pretty much it. I'm having a little motivation to write now, trying to get the discipline back. Also, I'm trying to get better at writing scenes fluidly but I don't know if it shows yet.
Again, thanks for reading. If you like it leave a review if you didn't like it leave a Guest review telling me to die in a fire.
See ya later.
