-Titan-
-March 2018-
Eddie tried to lift himself up; and felt the bones in his chest grind in opposition of his movement. Eddie could feel the adrenaline leaving him. He turned his head and looked at his battered self, his black and red combat suit was torn and burned, he had bruises all over, his normally neat peppered hair was unkempt and covered in soot, his face was bloodied and broken.
Eddie moved his bright blue eyes over to the perpetrator, the thumping pain that engulfed his body was difficult to ignore, but all that mattered to him was getting a look at the Mad Titan Thanos. The large purple man stood a few feet away, wearing his gold and purple armor as well as a gauntlet which stored the soul, power, reality, and space gem. After everything He, Tony, and the others had thrown at the titan he showed no sign of injury. Thanos had a grim look as he marched toward the middle-aged male.
Thanos spoke softly, his deep voice barely louder than a whisper, but to Eddie it felt like he was yelling. "You fought hard, but you failed nonetheless."
Eddie glared at Thanos, not saying a word, he slowly got to his feet, if he was going to die it would be standing. He gritted his teeth, sucking in air through his nose, despite the red blood pouring out of it. He had lost, that thought kept repeating itself over and over. Eddie had lost before no doubt about it, but the stakes had never been this high, so many had been counting on him.
Thanos sighed, the time had come, he slowly raised the incomplete infinity gauntlet, the red gem of power began to glow. Each second that passed by was pure agony for Eddie. Thanos' look of sympathy turned to one of determination, this wouldn't be hard, this man was just another obstacle to be cleared.
Eddie slowly shut his eyes. A tear role down Eddie's cheek, and the world went dark.
