Chapter 46
Special Class Fun
The next morning. Freya walked with Bakugo and Todoroki. Bakugo had woken her up and told her that she got permission to come with him so he could keep an eye on her. Freya held Bakugo's hand as she carried a mug of coffee with her. She still felt emotionally drained and tired. Bakugo held her hand tight.
"Walk behind me, damnit!" Bakugo hollared at Todoroki, who was walking ahead of them.
"Poor Mr. Aizawa. I feel bad making him train us after everything he just went through." Todoroki said.
"He'll be fine." Freya said. Bakugo let out a growl.
"I'm not gonna make small talk with you, icy hot!" Bakugo growled. Freya pulled the two boys to a stop as Todoroki went to say something. All Might and Present Mic were standing there.
"You're late! Ya bad boys!" Present Mic said. He winked Freya. Freya rolled her eyes.
"Present Mic. All Might. Why are you here?" Todoroki asked.
"We'll be taking you to training today." All Might said. Present Mic started poking Bakugo in the forehead.
"Eraser's gonna be playing hookee thanks to all the Yakuza chart toppers who were taken out the other day." Present Mic said. Freya had to grab Bakugo from attacking her uncle.
"Oh, is he injured worse then we thought?" Todoroki asked.
"He would of told me if he was injured more." Freya said.
"Nah. Apparently, they needed his power to help with the girl they rescued. Don't worry, I'm all over this. Conside me your new bodyguard." Present Mic said. Freya groaned.
"We're taking extra precautions due to the League's activity. Freya is still allowed to come with us." All Might said, giving Freya a nod. Freya smiled. All Might had a far off look on his face. Freya wondered if there was more that they were keeping from them. The three friends share looks. "Right. Let's go." Bakugo and Freya sat together on the bus. Freya stared out the window.
"Brat." Freya looked at Bakugo. He had a worried look on his face. "You alright."
"Yeah. Still emotionally and physically tired, but I think a day out and watching you and Todoroki in the Special Class will be fun." Freya said with a reassuring smile. Bakugo sighed in relief. Bakugo pulled her against him and kissed a kiss to her forehad. Freya laid a head on his shoulder. All Might watched the two with a small smile. He heard how hard Freya was hit and had agreed with her father to let her still come long as Present Mic came along.
They reached the place the Special Training was suppose to be.
"We'll be watching you from the stands. Freya will join us there." All Might said.
"Do your best! Yeah!" Present Mic said. Freya kissed Bakugo's check for luck as she walked with All Might and Present Mic to head for the stands. They reached the steps when a sudden shadow falls on them.
"Oh. If it isn't the former number-one hero. Thanks for babysitting Shoto. You're so useful." The new number 1 hero that replaced All Might stood there waiting for him.
"Endeavor." All Might said. Endeavor sat glaring down at All Might. Freya knew he didn't like All Might and was always trying to get past him. Freya could see the difference between Todoroki and his father.
"This is perfect. I've been wanting to sit down and have a chat with you man-to-man for awhile." Endeavor growled. Freya felt the tension.
"I'm going to find seats in the front for a good view." Freya said. Endeavor's eyes land on Freya. "Hello Endeavor." Freya walked up the steps as Present Mic disappeared.
"Freya Aizawa. I heard your as good as your father and skilled as your mother. Maybe you can do work studies at my agency." Endeavor said. Freya knew Endeavor had been trying to get her father in his agency, but Aizawa never wanted to leave the kids.
"Thank you for the offer, but I am with Ryuko Agency and I like it there." Freya said. Endeavor still eyed her, but she ignored him and headed into the stadium. She found a good spot where she had a perfect view of the area. She took a sip of her coffee and checked her phone as she waited. The students came out onto the floor. Mera was waiting for them.
"So, we rented out this sports center in order to put you through some specialized training." Mera said. He yawns. "Sorry about that I've actually been afraid of falling asleep recently. I'm Mera. Today will be fun." He laughs. Freya wondered what this training will be about. "Oh, one more thing before we begin. Up until now, we've had ten people in this remedial training class. But starting today, we'll have 11.
"Shoto!" Endeavor's yell made Freya jump and she turned to glare at him. "You never should've failed the inital exam in the first place! Show these weaklings that you're in a completely different league!" Freya facepalmed and turned back.
"What? No way!"
"It's Endeavor! The number-two hero! Or wait. He's the number one hero now."
"Seriously? That's kinda random." Freya noticed the guy that was fighting with Todoroki during the exam, glaring at Endeavor.
"Wait a minute. Look whose standing next to him! Are you guys seeing this?"
"Whoa! All Might!" Mumbles ran through the crowd. Freya sighed. Bakugo seemed to be glaring up at Endeavor and All Might.
"Yeah, if everyone could just calm down. I wasn't finishsed." A girl with the same hat as the other guy came out. "This girl will be joining us from now on." The girl took off her hat.
"Hey, second year at Shiketsu. The name is Camie. Hi, everyone!" Camie said.
'She didn't pass the exam either? Why is she late coming into this?' Freya thought.
"Right, so like the rest of you, she made it to the second exam. And she did well enough to take this supplemental class. But some foggy memories leading up to the first test made it difficult to place her." Mera said. Freya raised her eyebrows at that. "That's why she hasn't particated until now."
"They said toese to making an exception for me, which is so wicked coolio, you know? So anywhos, let's keep it fresh!" Camie said. Everyone looked so confused and Freya wondered if she was weird or what. But Freya wondered what happened at the test that made her have to join the others. Something didn't seem right. Mera sat at the table and opened his laptop.
"Right, then. Let's bring in your instructor." Mera said. A door opened and Gang Orca stepped out into the stadium. "Gang Orca." Gang Orca approached the 11 students.
"So, I've got even more disappointments today. What shame you must feel to be standing before me. Given how easy the exam was." Gang Orca said, glaring at everyone. Everyone stood straight. Gang Orca walked down the line of students. "There's something I've realize while observign your training thus far. There's nothing heroic about any of you! You'r bottom feeders! Nothing but rotten fish turds."
"Sir, yes, sir!" Students said.
"I can't hear you." Gang Orca said.
'Geez. He is tough.' Freya thought. Gang Orca came up to Bakugo.
"Especially you! Do you even want to be a hero?" Gang Orca asked.
"Well, first of all. I'm not a fish turd." Bakugo said. Gang Orca grabbed Bakugo and tossed him.
"Wrong!" Gang Orca said. Freya put her hand to her mouth to stiffle a laugh as Gang Orca turned on Todoroki.
"How can a pile of excrement help humanity prosper?" Gang Orca asked.
"Technically fertilizer is interal to.." Todoroki started. Gang Orca tosses Todoroki off to the side.
"Wrong!" Gang Orca said. Freya was gripping her stomach.
'Oh this is going to be interesting.' Freya thought. Gang Orca turned on the Shiketsu guy that Freya forgot his name already.
"Do you expect to be praised just because you have powerful attacks?" Gang Orca said.
"Sir, yes..." He never got to finish and Gang Orca tossed him.
"WRONG!" Gang Orca said. The three laid on the ground and Bakugo looked pissed as Camie looked at the three with concern. "I am well aware that the three of you have impressive combat abilities. But that's all you have. Your behavior is unacceptable. You're disrespectful to those in need of rescue and ignore your enemies to compete with one another. Today, we will put you through a special trial. It's time you start training a new muscle. The one that beats in your chest. If you hold out a hand as someone in trouble, will they take it? Not as you are now! It's fine to have fangs, but when a life is on the line. You must have trust." The doors start to open. Freya watched with interest. "You need a special connection with the person you're trying to rescue." Bakugo got up along with the others as they got ready to fight. "Remember that as you train today. Now, meet your opponents! Through this life-or-death battle, show that you can come to an understanding with them! That's the hurdle you face!" Freya's eyes widen as kids burst through the door, yelling.
"Wow! Real heroes!" A kid yelled. The three heroes looked like what the hell is this as Kami was still looking at Gang Orca, wondering if she belonged there. The kids surround the four. Todoroki just stared at them as the Teacher tried to get control of the kids, but was having no luck. Bakugo seemed pissed as a kid started punching him.
"You're dumb! Bombs are lame!" A kid said, pointing at Bakugo. Bakugo was glaring up at Freya. Freya was laughing with a huge smile.
'And she wants kids in the future and I don't know yet. I'm gonna hate this.' Bakugo said. Gang Orca started talking but Freya was video calling Class 1-A.
"What's up Freya?" Kirishima said.
"You guys got to see this." Freya said.
"Put it on the tv now!" Kaminari said as Freya flipped the video so they could all watch. Kirishima got the phone plugged into the TV so the whole class of 1-A could watch.
"We're taking responsibilit for your students now." Gang Orca said. The teacher started bowing.
"Thank you for your help, Mr. Orca." The teacher said.
"WE'RE WHAT!" Bakugo yelled. A kid goes running away, crying.
"Hey, look! This mean guy made Takuto cry!" A kid shouts. Another kid punches Bakugo in the stomach.
"Who do you think you are, bomb man?" The kid said. Freya heard Kirishima and Sero laughing. Bakugo was glaring at the kids when he saw Freya holding her phone up and sideways. His eyes widen.
"Suck it up, brat! Freya. I swear you better not be videochatting with our sidekicks." Bakugo said. All Might couldn't help but chuckle seeing Freya doing that.
"To late!" Freya called. Bakugo growled.
'I'm not gonna hear the end of it from those losers after this.' Bakugo thought.
"Oh, so you're one of those." Freya saw a blonde boy leaning against the wall. Bakugo turned to look at the kid. "A grown up who thinks they can get their way, by yelling, by not letting anyone else get a word in edgewise." The kid looks at Bakugo and puts his hand up. "Well, we're not impressed by that." Bakugo felt a vein pop.
"Who the hell's this punk?" Bakugo growled. Freya shook her head. Todoroki was explaining his tools on his belt. Freya saw the patinece with the kids, but they looked bored and one jumped up and punched Todoroki.
"Woah. Those kids are out of control." Jiro said. Freya shook her head. Kids were punching the Shiketsu guy, who seemed to be glaring at Endeavor. Freya wondered what the hell his issue was with the new number 1 hero. The kids grabbed his attention and then were kicking and punching him.
"Shoot. I got distracted." Freya finally remembered his name as Yoarashi.
"Geez." Freya said. Camie was talking to Gang Orca.
"Uh, yeah, so explain to me again why I'm part of this group?" Camie asked. Freya looked interested.
"Hey, it's the girl that Izuku got to see naked." Mineta said. Iida slapped his head. "Ow."
"We didn't get a chance to see you in action at the exam. Also, to be honest, you seem like you wouldn't be very good at this." Gang Orca said.
"Hey, whoa. That's so unfair." Camie said. She grabbed one of the kids and pressed him into her chest.
"Oooh. How I want to be the kid." Mineta said. Sero tapped up the purple pervert from watching the rest.
"Thank you Sero." Freya said.
"There. You see?" Camie asked. She patted the kid on the head. "I get along super with kids." Camie said. A kid grabbed Camie's butt. "Owie!" She dropped the kid.
"That girl is trying to seduce Sho." A kid said.
"I think the best thing to do is ignore her." The other kid said.
'Wow. Kids are really this smart.' Freya thought as the kids were running around and the four heroes were looking around, not sure what to do. Bakugo on the other hand was chasing a kid around. He put aside his gauntlets and Freya saw a kid running around with one of them as the teacher told Gang Orca how out of control the students were and wouldn't listen. Gang Orca glared at the Students.
"The four of you will accomplish this together. You must win the hearts of these unruly youngsters." Gang Orca said.
"What do we look like, nannies?" Bakugo growled.
"And I want kids in the future. Don't make me regret this." Freya grumbled.
"Settle down! The rest of you will have a lecture after your practical exercises. Do you understand?" Gang Orca said.
"Sir, yes, sir!" Trainees call. Everyone but the four scatter. Freya sat watching, wondering what was going to happen. The kids were getting unruly and the four stare at each other, not sure what to do. Present Mic was starting to get impatient and unrested.
"That's it, the MC in me can't take it anymore." Freya raised an eyebrow as she looked at her uncle as he stood up. "Where's the mood music?"
"He's not going to do what I think he's going to do?" Kirishima asked. Freya sighed.
"He is." Freya said, rubbing her temple with her free hand as Present Mic got on the floor in front of the teachers. "He is disowned by me."
"Now! LEt's get this party started!" Present Mic said into his microphone. "Oh, yeah!" Kids were jumping all over the others. "The smackdown between the future heroes and the rugrats have begun."
"GIVE THOSE BACK!" Bakugo yelled and Freya turned and nearly dropped the phone. Two kids had his gauntlets and were kicking them around. "They aren't toys, ya damn brats!" Bakugo chases the kids.
"Anyone recording this?" Kaminari said.
"Yep." Kirishima said.
"Did they really swipe your gauntlets that easily?" Todoroki asked.
"How?" Freya and Jiro said together. Bakugo was fuming as he glared at Todoroki.
"I took them off because it's too dangerous to keep the things on. Next time. I'm leaving them with Freya!" Bakugo growled. A girl growls at Camie.
"I mean, winning your hearts is, like, super vague, you knows? What are we even supposed to be doing here? This is way weird." Camie said. The girl hisses at Camie.
"Team Fish Turds looks like they've completely lost the beat and are flailing like flounder!" Present Mic called. Mera sighed.
"Try not to go overboard. This is still a training course." Mera said.
"Roger that, yo!" Present Mic said. He turned towards the teacher. "Let's hear from their teacher. Got any special requests?" Freya saw tears in the teachers eyes. "What do those kiddos need?"
"So much." The Teacher said. Freya got worried on that.
"These early elementary school years are an important time for character development. Because the difference between children's Quirks has a huge effect on their self-esteem, we offer counseling in order to support healthy emotional growth. But counseling is not a cure-all. The students in this class have completely closed their hearts to us. I understand that this is my responsibility. But, still. I hope meeting heroes who are working hard to achieve their dreams will help lead these kids down a more respectable path." The Teacher said. Everyone looked at the teacher in shock. Bakugo growled as he clenched his fists and walked away.
"There's no time for us to bicker with each other. We have to save them." Todoroki said.
"In other words, all we have to do is make friends. No problem." Yoarashi said, looking at the kids.
"Let's get this babysitting over and done with." Bakugo said. He stopped walking. "I'm ready to go back to some actual training!" His face was pissed off.
"Maybe try not to make that angry face, Bakugo." Present Mic said. Bakugo glares at Present Mic as Gang Orca roars.
"Now, how will UA's walking explosion handle this?" Present Mic said. Sero and Kaminari were rolling on the ground laughing. Bakugo heard his friends laughter.
'I'm gonna get Freya for this.' Bakugo thought. Bakugo looked at Yoarashi, Camie, and Todoroki.
"The stupid teacher didn't fulfill her role as a leader, so the brats ended up taking over the class. This isn't somethign that just happens. If they're not listening to her, then somebody else must be in charge here." Bakugo said. Freya was impressed. He was good at figuring stuff out. "There's definitely some kind of boss kid these little monsters are following. We just gotta figure out who it is."
"Wow. I never seen Bakugo like this." Iida said.
"I have." Freya and Kirishima said.
"And then?" Todoroki asked.
"We beat him up and hang him from a post to make an example out of the punk. Then we make the kids throw rocks at him! It'll be the most effective way to make them realize what an insignificant pest their leader is!" Bakugo growled. Freya looked like she wanted to jump down and slap him.
"I thought the idea was for us to be nice." Yoarashi said.
"Uh, Freya. You sure he'll be good with kids." Kirishima asked.
"I don't know who he is. He's a complete stranger to me." Freya said.
"Wow. Bakugo certainly has a unique perspective!" Present Mic said.
"Katsuki. REALLY!" Freya yelled. Bakugo got in a fighting stance with a crazed look on his face. Freya could just imagine what he be like if he was a dad. Heaven help her.
"Whichever one of you is the strongest, step up! Come fight me!" Bakugo challenged.
"Dial it back, son!" Present Mic said.
"Such an outdated and violent way of solving problems." The blonde boy that was leaning against the wall sitll, said. Bakugo turned on him with a growl and Freya was wondering if he was the boss man. The boy looks at Bakugo and touches his head. "You're showing your true colors."
"Burned by an ankle biter!" Present Mic said. Bakugo felt a vein break.
"Enough already! Just bring it!" Bakugo growled.
"Um, sir. Please forgive me if this comes across as ungrateful, but are the kids gonna be okay?" Present Mic said.
"That's what worries me." Tsu said.
"Just sit back and watch the show." Present Mic said. Camie looked at Bakugo.
"Delinquents aren't in fashion, you know." Camie said. Bakugo glared at her.
"The hell they're not!" Bakugo growled.
"Getting to know each of the kids is the fastest way to become friends." Yoarashi said. He shoots an arm up in the air. "Who wants to be a hero?"
"Shiketsu takes the stage!" Present Mic said.
"I do!"
"They're cool!"
"Yeah, I wanna be super strong! Me!"
Yoarashi picks up two of the kids.
"That's great! I wanna be one, too! Doesn't heroic passion make your blood bubble with excitement?" Yoarashi said.
"Inda weird phrasing, but it looks like this might work!" Present Mic said. Freya had a feeling it might not.
"It's the job of a hero to make sure everyone smiles. Think if you cause your teacher trouble, you're likely to become good heroes?" Yoarashi said.
"I guess not?" The boy said.
"Right. So then..." Yoarashi said.
"But wait. That means... Since you gave the teachers and the commission guys more work by making them do this class, you can't become one either. Is that right?" The kid asked. Freya snorted.
"That's true!" Yoarashi yells, flying away as the kids laughed. Yoarashi falls head first into the floor making Freya flinch. "I'm in no position to act so high and mighty! Please forgive me!"
"This dope's gotta big heart, huh?" Present Mic said.
"Is it just me or are these kids like super twisted?" Camie asked.
"Yeah, exactly! So a little violence is necessary!" Bakugo said. Freya rolled her eyes.
"Bakugo. They're just kids." Todoroki said. Bakugo looked at Todoroki.
"Huh? Well, that's how I was raised and look! I turned out awesome." Bakugo said. Freya and Class 1-A that was watching snorted. "No comitary from you, Brat!" Bakugo glared at Freya.
"No. I think I might have a better way." Todoroki said. Bakugo's face seemed to calm down a bit.
"Oh? Why don't you show me what you have in mind. I'm sure this is gonna be good." Bakugo said, stretching his body. Todoroki walked towards the kids.
"Right." Todoroki said. Freya watched her friend wondering what he had planned.
"Next up Shoto Todoroki, exuding both fiery passion and chilling calmness!" Present Mic said.
"Beat them, Shoto!" Endeavor yelled. Freya sighed.
'Will you let your son be!' Freya thought. Todoroki stopped in front of the kids.
"Now, how will he win over these youngsters?" Present Mic said.
"This should be interesting." Jiro said.
"What you guys watching?" Izuku said, joining them.
"Bakugo and Todoroki's special class. Freya's video calling us there." Kirishima said. Izuku joined them. Two girls gasped as they looked at Todoroki and even Camie looked at his handsomeness.
"I know right. A hot guy who likes kids? Dreamy!" Camie said. Freya couldn't help but secretly agree.
"Stupid Five Wienies here is boring." The kid said. Freya wondered how that name came up and didn't want to know. "Let's go punch the gorilla instead." Bakugo looked at Yoarashi.
"That be you, baldy." Bakugo said. Yoarashi lifts up his hat.
"I told you, I'm not bald!" Yoarashi said. Todoroki sighed and looked at the kids.
"My name is not Five Wienies. I am Shoto from UA and I wanna be a hero. My father, Endeavor, is currently the number-one hero, but to be frank, I've always hated him and wanna forge my own path..." Todoroki started.
"What is this, a character introduction page? Come on!" Present Mic spoke over him. The kids looked bored.
"So boring!" The kids said.
"Total fail!" Present Mic said. Todoroki walked back to the others.
"Poor Todoroki." Yaoyorozu said. Freya felt bad for him.
"He tried at least." Shoji said.
"Sorry." Todoroki said.
"That was a nice try, Todoroki!" Yoarashi said. Bakugo sighed.
"I guess we have no choice." Bakugo said.
"Hey. You three have been yelling and running after them this whole time, but, I dunno. Wouldn't it be faster if we, like, just showed them how cool all our Quirks are?" Camie said.
"I was just about to suggest that!" Bakugo growled.
"Whoa, that's a coincidence, huh?" Camie said. Bakugo looked at the kids.
"We have a lot of work to do. And plenty of these snot-nosed twerps seem to think it's fun to cause us trouble. We can't just try to gain their trust and think that's enough. We gotta go all in with a demonstration of our skills." Bakugo said. There was a calmness in his voice.
"I see. Got it!" Yoarashi said. The kids all turned to face the four heroes. The teacher gasped as the kids got evil looks and Freya looked worried.
"Careful. Don't hurt them." The teacher called.
"Ha. You guys aren't fooling anybody." A kid said as the kids got all their quirks ready.
"Um. I'm gonna let you go." Freya said, hanging up on her friends, knowing it was going to get back.
"We're better than you and we'll take you down to prove it." Yoarashi said. Bakugo caused explosions in his hand as him, Yoarashi, and Todoroki got ready for a fight. Camie just stood there in shock.
"Oh? Then bring it on. Let's have a proper fight." Bakugo said. Freya stood up as the Meatball guy, Shishikura jumped to the floor by Present Mic.
"Stooping to their level would be the epitome of folly, my peers!" Shishikura said.
"Who is this guy?" Present Mic said.
"It is apparent that you have not recognized the superiority of Shiketsu High. In order for this commentary to reflect the truth, I have decided to assist you." Shishikura said.
"Say what?" Present Mic sasid.
"As Present Mic should already have deduced, if my peers fight seriously, the children will be left beaten, ashamed. Or the other hand, if they use their discretion and let the children shine, then it will only make the delinquents even more brazen." Shishikura said. The kids were moving towards the want to be heroes. "Abandoning discourse will result in failure."
"Hold on! I don't think you all know how dangerous this is." The teacher said. Freya looked at the kids. "Those children are strong and believe wholeheartedly that their Quirks surpass those of the heroes. They won't hold back against your trainees!"
"Well that's one thing you don't understand with those trainees." The teacher looked at Freya. "I know two of the students and they won't hold back either. They won't hurt the kids, but they will fight if they have to and will teach those students a lesson. Just watch." Bakugo smiled with pride knowing Freya was right.
