[Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex]
[2:00 A.M.]
a Twelve Year Old boy with messy brown hair and wearing a blue shirt
panted anxiously as he ran up the inactive escalator of the Lobby.
(("ARE YOU HAVING FUN YET?")) spoke the distorted voice
of the 'dancing rabbit lady' that was currently hunting Gregory.
Gregory gasped as he ran into one of the elevators that led to the Atrium of the Pizzaplex.
(("THERE YOU ARE...")) spoke the Rabbit Lady.
Gregory gasped as he rapidly pressed the 'UP' button.
His eyes nearly popped out of his head as he saw the Rabbit Lady approach.
The big, red eyes of her static mask somehow blinding the boy's vision the closer she got.
Gregory froze, terrified. He couldn't even scream.
As the Rabbit Lady brandished her long, silver knife...the elevator doors finally closed.
Gregory breathed a sigh of relief.
(("...SEE YOU SOON.")) spoke the distant voice of the Rabbit Lady.
As Gregory tried to calm himself down, he felt his FazWatch vibrate.
(("BZZ!, -REEE-GORY...GREG-GOOORY."))
spoke a familiar, deep voice from the watch's speaker.
"Freddy!?" spoke Gregory, alert. "Freddy, HELP! That rabbit lady found me!"
((BZZ!, If you G-GET this messssage. Come to the Roxy RA-RACEWAY entrance on the second floor.
I piled up some boxes SSS-SO you can hop over the construction fence and find me.."))
Gregory groaned, disappointed that he was listening to a pre-recorded message
and not actually talking to Freddy himself. Regardless though, he listened to the message intently.
(("SS-Something is J-JAMMING my communications signal..."))
continued the message. (("C-Come to Roxy Raceway...))
"I can hear you!" spoke Gregory (hoping Freddy could hear him.) "I'm on my way!"
As if on cue, the Elevator doors opened up into the Atrium.
Gregory took a moment to ensure someone was around (like that annoying Map Bot)
and once the coast was clear, he sprinted out of the Elevator and to the Directory Map Sign.
Taking another look around, Gregory growled in his throat upon seeing
all of the Security S.T.A.F.F. Bots that were now patrolling the area.
Gregory found all of the STAFF Bots annoying...but he LOATHED the Security Bots the most,
as everytime he got spotted by one of them, Monty, Chica and Roxy just seemed to appear out of nowhere.
And, Unfortunately...These Flashlight shining Rollers
were patrolling Gregory's only way to where Freddy apparently was.
With an aggravated sigh, Gregory ran back to the Elevator and hugged himself against the wall.
He made short sprints along the wall, trying his best to keep his distance from the Security Bots.
It was stressful...but not too difficult.
Eventually the boy got past them, and ran along the balcony that overlooked the entrance
to the Fazer Blast attraction down at the bottom floor, which neighbored Roxy Raceway.
Gregory then stopped to quickly survey the area.
Just ahead of him was a construction barrier with two open pathways,
and a large sign that read: [THIS ATTRACTION IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED.]
Gregory QUICKLY sprinted to one of the pathways and entered a dark corridor.
Switching on his own Flashlight, Gregory walked down the dark tunnel...only to find a dead end.
Nothing but more Construction Barriers, and closed OUT-OF-ORDER shutter doors
that apparently led to the Glamrock Beauty Salon according to the signage above it.
"crap!, I must've gone the wrong way." scowled Gregory.
As Gregory was turning to leave, he spotted a lone, pink Duffle Bag on the ground
that was no doubt left behind by a random guest that had to leave the Pizzaplex 'abruptly.'
(and since similar bags always had something useful inside, Gregory unzipped it open.)
Inside was the usual assortment of items, as well as a scribbled note
that Gregory quickly scanned with his FazWatch so he could read it better.
[CUSTOMER COMPLAINT - Why did you reopen?!, Everyone remembers what happened to those kids!]
Gregory shivered after reading the note.
Most everyone was aware of Fazbear Entertainment's 'disturbing' reputation from decades past.
How back in the 80s, numerous children went missing, with scary stories of their angry souls
haunting the older Animatronics, and acting like monsters during the night time.
But that's all those were, right? Just wild campfire stories.
Little more than an Internet Creepypasta that was the basis of that one VR videogame.
R-Right?...
well...Gregory had to admit that there was an oddly strange similarity
between those old stories, and the numerous missing children reports that were going on NOW.
How random kids that Gregory had interacted with sometimes at local playgrounds
had just went missing one day, with the one common link being that they were last seen in the Pizzaplex.
Part of why Gregory was even in this place was his curiosity at what became of his 'playmates'
(though, Gregory would be lying to himself if he claimed that to be the ONLY reason he was here.)
Gregory shook his head, putting those concerns aside for the moment.
He ran back the way he came, and stopped at the doorway to ponder his next move.
Looking over to the side, he saw more closed Shutter Doors.
One was also Out of Order, but another didn't have such signs plastered on them.
After one last quick look, Gregory sprinted for the far off side shutter doors.
And to his relief, they began to open up as soon as he walked near them.
"YES!"
Gregory ran through the doors, and found himself in a narrow tunnel
made from construction barriers, with a construction fencing giving a scenic view of Fazer Blast.
With nowhere else to go but forward, Gregory carefully walked down the artificial corridor.
As Gregory walked, he saw the signage of Roxy Raceway at the far end of the area,
beyond some shipping crates and forklifts...which confirmed he was headed in the right direction.
When he eventually reached the end of the path and to a larger area, He peered around a corner...
...and saw a pile of boxed stacked like a staircase over a barrier JUST as Freddy described.
HOWEVER, there was also a lone Security STAFF Bot patrolling the area new said boxes.
Gregory huffed, realizing the robot was literally between him and his goal.
The boy then hid from view, and switched on the Camera Video on his FazWatch.
He selected a camera that showed where he needed to go, and analyzed the Security Bot's patrol route.
However the same camera also showed him exactly where Freddy was.
And the boy grew pale upon seeing the downed form of the orange, Animatronic Bear.
The image was fuzzy...but it looked like Freddy was laying on the ground.
(almost as if he had been 'shot in the street', something Gregory was unfortunately familiar with)
Switching off the cameras, Gregory peered around the corner again
and waited for the Security Bot to make a pass by the boxes.
Once It did, Gregory ran as fast as his tiny legs could take him
and made a Bee-Line for the boxes, and scampered up them like a Squirrel.
Gregory then dropped down like a rock on the other side of the barrier.
Brushing himself off, he stood up and gazed out at the dark Sub-Lobby.
...and his eyes fell right on Freddy at the center of the area.
Carefully walking quickly down the staircase, Gregory then ran across the room over to Freddy.
He then froze upon seeing the state that the Animatronic Bear was in.
Twitching as if experiencing a seizure, with his hand over his chest.
"FREDDY!, Are you okay!?" exclaimed Gregory, Hoping Freddy was operational.
"There you are-ARE!..." spoke Freddy, his voice glitchy.
"I was sss-so worried. I waited, and waited for you. I missed the hourly recharge
and have been trying to get down to P-Parts, and Sss-Service. I think sss-something is wrong."
"Is there anything I can do to?" spoke Gregory, without hesitation.
"He-help me get to P-Parts and Sss-Service." answered Freddy (still twitching.)
"Of course I will...How do I get there?"
"It is down under the main stage." continued Freddy.
"Normally, the stage lift takes me down there after every concert.
Apart from my Green Room's Maintenance Elevator, it is the only way I know how.
Use that door be-behind me. It will take you to the rehearsal room on the other side of the building.
Look for a Backstage Pass then find a way to turn on the lift. Good luck, superstar...Entering reeest mooode."
As the light in Freddy's optics dimmed, Gregory just stared blankly.
Time seemed to slow to a crawl as he remembered all the times Freddy had been there for him tonight.
Never once had Freddy lied to him, or deceived him in any way.
He never revealed where he was to that Security Guard lady, Vanessa.
And Gregory could neve forget how Freddy saved him just in time when the other Animatronics
almost caught him after that crazy Daycare Attendant threw him into danger.
(("GOOD JOB, SUPERSTAR! I KNEW YOU COULD DO IT!"))
echoed Freddy's voice in Gregory's head.
Gregory nearly shed a tear. He then lowered down, and gave the inactive Robot a hug.
"I'll do my best." said Gregory.
Gregory reluctantly released Freddy and stepped away.
He hated the idea of just leaving him here like this.
But, even if he could hotwire one of the forklifts here to move Freddy,
there was no way he could do so without alerting security (not that he knew where to take Freddy.)
His only hope was to find a way to turn on the stage lift like Freddy said,
and HOPE he had enough reserve power to make it there on his own without much assistance.
As Gregory looked to a far off door, he took one last look at Freddy behind him.
Inhaling deeply, he turned and approached the door...only to stop at a nearby
Flashlight Charging Station to replenish his flashlight's battery (never can be too careful.)
Gregory exhaled as he finally opened the door and enter a room
with an assortment of shipping containers all lined up like walls of a maze.
Gregory walked down the narrow path pass the containers.
It was so quiet, one could hear a pin echo as it dropped.
And, sure enough...Gregory DID her a voice echo from a distance.
(("Are you LOST?"))
Gregory felt chills upon hearing the voice of Roxanne Wolf.
An Animatronic Character who was as Mean, as she was Beautiful
...and she was VERY beautiful (just ask anyone.)
Gregory quickly sprinted to the otherside of the makeshift maze and reach another door.
Deciding to be smart, he looked at his FazWatch and brought up the nearest security cameras.
Fortunately, there were camera in the next room beyond the door.
However, it was a very LARGE room (a Loading Dock, in fact) that was nearly pitch black.
There were A LOT of Security STAFF Bots patrolling the area...and ROXY was already in there.
Gregory breathed heavily, feeling great tension at what lay ahead of him.
He really didn't want to go into that Dark Dock he knew danger was waiting for him.
His common sense began to wonder why he doesn't just head back
to Freddy's Room in Rockstar Row, and just wait until the Lobby Doors open at 6AM.
He would be safe there, and a knew a safe route back to the Lobby.
And yet...as simple as that strategy was, he just couldn't do that.
He couldn't hide and do nothing for Four Hours, knowing full well that Freddy needed his help.
He just...COULDN'T abandon Freddy. Not after all he did for him.
Gregory was many things, but 'Heartless' wasn't among them.
Despite his fear, Gregory opened the door and entered the dark cavern.
He gasped upon seeing the light beams of the patrolling staff bots.
and the distant 'clanking', and whirling gears of Roxanne Wolf.
(("You can't hide forever."))
spoke Roxy's echoed voice. (("You might as well give up."))
Gregory hated to admit it...but Roxy's taunting was getting to him.
His inner voice was screaming in his head how this was such a bad idea.
He was just a Kid!, a Twelve year old boy in a dark room with a monster hunting him.
Anyone sensible would just turn back and run to somewhere safer...Gregory wanted to do the smart thing.
But the image of Freddy hurt and alone gave him the motivation to keep going.
He was indeed scared...But he was more afraid of losing his only friend in this place.
So, against far better judgement...Gregory walked forward.
Gregory sprinted pass some patrolling Security Bots, trying hard to avoid the beams of their flashlights.
Hugging against a wall in shadow, Gregory quickly checked the cameras on his FazWatch.
He saw Roxy patrolling a more lit area not far from where he was (so, best to avoid any lights.)
and to his left...a LONG, narrow hallway with tight corners
in which an objectively unnecessary number of Security Bots were patrolling them.
"oh, come on!" exclaimed Gregory...who then covered his mouth.
(("I heard that.")) spoke Roxy's voice.
In a panic, Gregory made a mad dash for the narrow corridor.
He didn't look back to see if Roxy was chasing him, he just ran.
(("YOU CAN'T OUTRUN ME!"))
shouted Roxy. (("I'M THE BEST!"))
Gregory huffed and puffed, feeling panic start to set in.
But he also felt his legs start to grow weaker, his stamina draining rapidly.
Unable to keep running, Gregory quickly dove into an empty Laundry Cart.
As he breathed heavily, he checked the cameras on his FazWatch located where he was.
...and he saw Roxy start to approach.
The boy covered his mouth, trying desperately bot to give away his location.
Roxanne Wolf lingered, and began to 'sniff the air' like a predator on the hunt.
(("little coward...")) growled Roxy.
(("I bet you don't even have any friends."))
Gregory ignored the tears in his eyes as Roxy walked closer to where he was.
"Nobody will even MISS you..." spoke Roxy, coldly.
For some reason, that specific taunt really cut into Gregory.
He wanted to cry. but knew that if he did, he would be DEAD.
THEN Gregory saw something on the cameras that REALLY made him panic.
...Roxy was LOOKING INSIDE the other Laundry Carts.
((*CRAP-CRAP-CRAP-CRAP-CRAP!*)) screamed Gregory in his head.
As Roxy looked inside the cart RIGHT next to the one he was hiding in,
Gregory's 'Fight-or-Flight' response kicked in, and he jumped out from his hiding place.
(("GET BACK HERE, LOSER!"))
shouted Roxy, as she slashed at Gregory.
Gregory cried out, feeling a stinging pain on his back.
But he ignored it, and just ran as fast as he could from Roxy.
Being the fastest of the Glamrock Animatronics, Roxy was RIGHT on Gregory's tail.
The sound of stomping feet and grinding gears filling Gregory's ears.
He couldn't see behind him, but Roxy was viciously swiping her claws at the boy.
Behaving much like a Werewolf would in some old, black-and-white horror movie.
(("RAAAAWWWRR!")) Roxy roared as she performed a lunge,
closing the distance between her and the boy.
Gregory screamed as he felt sharp, metal teeth clamp onto his shoulder.
the dagger-like teeth easily piecing his flesh, and fracturing bone.
Roxy lifted the boy up, and shook his body like a dog would with a rope toy.
She then tossed Gregory into a nearby door, which smashed apart from the sheer impact.
Gregory flew into the small room, and slammed into a wall.
He cried out, feeling the most intense pain he had ever felt in his life.
Everything hurt, but his shoulder hurt the most.
He tried to grasp his injury, but more pain shot through him as he touch it.
Looking at his hand, he saw it caked in crimson red. He was bleeding severely.
Gregory looked ahead...and saw Roxy enter the room through the only door.
(("You think you're better than me?!"))
shouted Roxy, angrily. (("YOU ARE NOTHING!"))
Gregory desperately tried to crawl away, despite his immense pain.
He couldn't stop his tears as Roxy slowly stalked him like a Cat would a Mouse.
(It seemed that Roxy was actually Enjoying this.)
(("I'm the BEST.")) spoke Roxy, proudly.
As Gregory backed away...he was stopped by something behind him.
Turning around...he gaped at a tall, snow white, Animatronic Chicken looming over him.
"ch-chica!?"
Chica turned, her purple eyes gleaming as she looked down at Gregory.
(("Lost Boy Over Heeeeere..."))
droned Chica, slouching like a Zombie.
Gregory backed away, feeling trapped. "No-NO!"
Suddenly, Roxy snatched up Gregory and slammed his broken body into a wall.
Gregory clenched his teeth, feeling more pain as inhumane pressure was put against his chest.
(("YOU'RE NOT BETTER THAN ME, BRAT!"))
shouted Roxy, as she kept slamming the boy into the wall.
(("I AM THE BEST!, YOU ARE NOTHING...NOTHING!"))
Gregory cried out, coughing up blood as he gasped for air.
While this was happening, Chica's body began to twitch. Sparking violet electros.
Her eyes remained focused on Gregory, and began to scan the child's body with a blue beam of light.
Her HUD then displayed some text that set off alarms in her system.
[WARNING! CHILD IN DANGER!]
[ALERT! MULTIPLE FRACTURES DETECTED!]
[ALERT! EXCESSIVE BLOOD DETECTED!]
[RED ALERT! SEVERE INJURIES DETECTED!
IMMEDIATE MEDICAL CARE NEEDED!]
[INITIATING CHILD PROTECTION PROTOCOLS.]
[ERROR...ERROR. SYSTEM MALFUNCTION.]
Chica's body began to jerk around like she was experiencing a Seizure.
Her eyes flickered between purple, and the bright blue that they were suppose to be.
(("WHO...WANTS...CA-CA-CA-CANDEEEEE!?
*BZZZZZ!*, TA-TA-TAKE YOU...P-P-PARENTS!"))
Chica's body began jerking even more erratically.
He voice cycling through various pre-recorded audio that was now glitching.
Her HUD was also glitching, displaying conflicting directives.
[PROTECT CHIL-TERMINATE INTRUD-
PRO-PRO-PROOOOTECT-TEEEERMINAAAAATE-]
Chica's A.I. began to overload, her eyes flashing like a strobe light.
It finally became too unbearable...
(("Gre-Gre-Gregor...EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"))
Chica let out an ear-piercing screech that could be heard for miles.
Roxy dropped Gregory, and screamed as her own systems became scrambled.
Confused, Roxanne Wolf bolted out of the room...leaving Gregory alone with Chica.
Gregory remained slumped against the wall...unable to move without feeling pain.
he looked as saw Chica drop to the ground, her eyes flickering before going dark.
The boy was now in pitch black darkness...ALONE.
Hid body hurt so much he couldn't stand it, he was trapped in a dark room with Chica
while Roxy, although gone for now, was still nearby and might be back any minute.
Gregory cried as he struggled to turn his FazWatch on.
"F-F-Freddy?..." groaned Gregory, fighting his pain.
"I'm...sss-sorry, f-freddy. I...Roxy, she...she found me."
Gregory choked, and gasping for air. "I'm sorry Freddy. I'm sss-sorrr..."
Gregory slowly started to lose consciousness.
He fought to stay away, but n longer had the strength to.
The world soon became dark...and Gregory passed out.
[SYSTEM REBOOTING...]
[SAFE MODE INITIATED.]
Chica's eyes flickered as the Animatronic Bird came back online.
Her gears then whirled as she planted her hands onto the floor and slowly rose onto one knee.
[BATTERY POWER AT 89%]
Chica finally rose back up, and surveyed the area.
Her violet eyes then zeroed in on the chocolate haired boy laying slumped against a wall.
The Robot Chicken ran over to the boy, and knelt down to get a better look at him.
"gregory..." spoke Chica, concern in her electronic voice.
Chica then carefully picked the boy up with both hands, and rose back up.
She looked down at him sadly, holding him like an attentive mother would.
Chica then ran out of the room.
"INTRUDER ALERT!" exclaimed a Security STAFF Bot, shining a light at Chica. "INTRUD-(*KLANK!*)"
Chica silenced the bot with a swift kick, knocking it down.
She then proceeded to run down the long hallway to the nearest First Aid Station.
[To Be Continued?]
[Author Notes]
With the hype of the FNAF movie just around the corner,
I decided that NOW would be a good time to write my first ever
Five Nights at Freddy's story while the series is trending again.
Think of this as a proof of concept for a story idea
that I may continue at a later date.
Basically, this is a rewrite of the plot of the Security Breach base game,
and a majority of this chapter was taken directly from the game itself.
What deviates into AU territory in my decision
to have Chica out herself in Safe Mode like Freddy did
and will now serve as Gregory's secondary guardian/"Mother Hen."
Yeah, I know. There are TONS of "Roxy Guardian" fics out there.
But I like Chica better, and her turning good makes more sense
(I will explain why I believe this in a later chapter.)
So, to be blunt: This is a prologue chapter
for a story that I think could be good.
(and if I do continue this, I may write Foxy in at some point.
I have a whole thing planned regarding him and Bonnie.)
