Keanu's a Sophomore in Cherryton Academy. Maybe just your average delinquent getting himself involved in various illegal activities. Or maybe, there's more than meets the eye. How will the events and characters of Beastars affect him and the dangerous world he's got himself rooted into? Only one way to find out. 3. So How Bout A Coffee?

Keanu woke up to knocking on his dorm door. He grunted and tried ignoring it but the knocking persisted. He opened one eye slightly to check the clock, it was 8 am. Who in the hell wants to come in his dorm at 8 am? Did he piss off another girl yesterday?

Having enough of that, he got out of his bed and swung the door open only to see Jack standing in front of him.

-"Hey Keanu, I just wanted to- JESUS CHRIST WHY ARE YOU NAKED!" Jack cried out and covered his eyes after seeing the jackal, ass naked standing in front of the door.

-"Well you woke me up, it's your fault really. Give me a sec." Keanu muttered sleepily. He grabbed a pair of boxers and put them on. "Go on, come in" He told Jack.

Jack nervously and slowly stepped in the room, all dressed up in his uniform. He scanned the room in front of him. It was surprisingly clean, well except for a few filled ashtrays, porn mags on the bed and a dirty plate or two.

-"So, how bout a coffee?" Keanu asked while putting some water in a coffee maker. "I take mine as a latte, what about you?"

-"Uhh, yeah a latte sounds good" Jack replied nervously and sat down on an armchair next to a small coffee table.

Keanu put a cup of coffee in front of his seat, and another one in front of Jack. Jack thanked him and sipped on his coffee. The two sat in silence for a bit, both staring out the window overlooking the academy courtyard. Keanu decided to break the silence.

-"So, to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?" He said while sipping on his coffee.

-"Well, I don't know what exactly came over me but, I just really wanted to see you." Jack replied, now a little more comfortable, smiling from ear to ear and sipping on his coffee "This is really good by the way, you got the milk to coffee ratio just right!"

-"Haha, thanks, I've had some experience mixing you feel me? Anyways, I get it, I seem to have that effect on people. It's a blessing and a curse really." Keanu replied. "Some would say I have an aura around me" He chuckled and lit up a cigarette, offering one to Jack. "You smoke?"

-"N-no I don't, wait are you crazy? You can't smoke in your dorm, you're gonna get in trouble!" Jack replied nervously. He had never seen someone smoking in a dorm room, let alone being so nonchalant about it.

-"Ah don't worry Jackie boy, I ripped out the smoke detector, we should be fine." Keanu replied while exhaling some smoke into Jack's face. Jack coughed a little, and continued drinking his coffee.

-"So, what classes do you have today?" Jack asked curiously, his tail lifting up slightly anticipating a response.

-"Nah man, I think I'm gonna skip today. Don't feel right. Gonna just write myself a sick note, stay in my room." Keanu replied. A bit of ash from his cigarette fell on his chest, he blew it off, and looked up slightly only to find Jack staring at him again. "You keep zoning out, you alright?"

-"H-huh? Oh! Oh I'm alright, thanks" Jack blurted out. "But, what's up with you? You don't look sick.." Jack questioned the young jackal.

-"Don't overthink it, I just wanna take one day off to rest." Keanu replied, putting out his cigarette.

-"Ah, I see... Well I should get back to my dorm. It was really nice seeing you again Keanu, I hope we can do this again sometime!" Jack replied cheerfully, his tail wagging.

-"Sure mate, you come over any time you like." Keanu said while he was escorting Jack out his door.

Keanu went to shake Jack's hand only for Jack to hug him. Keanu stood in shock for a second, but before he could say anything Jack walked away to his dorm

-"Bye Keanu!" Jack said happily while walking downstairs.

(Huh, weird.) Keanu thought to himself (At least I've got the whole day off) Just then, a message popped up on his phone

Drama club kid: Hey man, I need some weed, 5000 yen worth, think you could hook me up?

-"Fuck" Keanu said while responding

Keanu: Yeah sure man I gotcha, I'll bring it over to ya later today I'm busy doing shit.

-"Guess today won't be a rest day then." Keanu sighed and sat down on his armchair, calling up his dealer.

-"Yeah?" A gruff voice responded on the other end -"Yeah man I'm gonna need 5gs today, just deliver through someone to me."

-"I got you, gonna take 2 hours."

-"Love you bro, stay safe"
