-"FUCK!" Keanu cried out. He turned his head only to see an arrow jammed in his shoulder, he was bleeding profusely. "Mother of fuck..." he muttered angrily. He pulled out his glock, cocked it and started shooting wildly at all sides around him. Legoshi laid down on the ground, as to not get hit.
Gunshots thundered throughout the air, giving support to the ongoing storm. The gun clicked, now empty.
-"Keanu what the hell are you doing!?" Legoshi yelled.
-"I'm trying to shoot whoever fucking shot me!" Keanu yelled back, loading another magazine. Suddenly he felt the arrow pull out of his shoulder. He yelled in pain again, falling to his knees. Then he felt relief, cold and...minty? At the same time.
-"My mistake, I didn't recognize you." Gouhin said, wrapping Keanu's wound with bandages. Keanu winced in pain. "You don't need to pay me for this one, it's on the house." Gouhin laughed. Legoshi crouched down next to Keanu.
-"What are you two doing here?" Legoshi asked. Keanu looked at him, angry.
-"Trying to stop you from getting killed." Keanu replied, standing up. His wound was now completely patched up by Gouhin.
-"You're not stopping me from doing this. I'm going to save Haru." Legoshi responded, determined in his cause. Suddenly, our trio heard a gunshot from behind them. It was a sharply dressed lion, and he had a gun pointed at them.
-"You idiots, you really thought the three of you could attack the Shishigumi?" The lion cackled.
Gouhin slowly put down his crossbow, and Legoshi put his hands up. Keanu put one hand in his pocket, lifting his other hand in the air.
-"What are you reaching for?" The lion asked, focusing his aim at Keanu.
-"Some cash, so we can forget any of this ever happened." Keanu responded. The lion laughed, messing up his aim.
-"Rea-"
*BANG* *BANG* *BANG*
The lion didn't even have time to think of a response, before he had 3 holes in his torso. He fell on the ground dead. Keanu's suit jacket was smoking, and had a hole in it. Keanu pulled out his gun and tucked it in his belt. He looked over at Legoshi.
-"Everyone already knows we're here, no turning back." Keanu told him. He put a ski mask over his face, and lit up a cigarette. He grabbed his AK from his shoulder and cocked it.
"You ready to start some shit?" Keanu asked. Gouhin grabbed his crossbow, putting in a new bolt, turning to Legoshi.
-"Thank you, both of you..." Legoshi replied. They could hear goons rushing out from the front door.
-"You take care of anyone who's not packing, me and Gouhin will take care of the rest." Keanu commanded. Legoshi nodded.
The three ran towards the front door. Keanu started shooting lions left and right, while Gouhin shot two in the middle. Legoshi knocked one to the ground and ran inside the hideout. Keanu ran after him, shooting the lion that was on the ground on the way. Gouhin followed suit. Inside the mansion Keanu kept shooting wherever he could, not really aiming. The lions were ducking and hiding from his spray, making way for Legoshi to run upstairs. A few lions started shooting back at Keanu. He got behind a pillar for cover, and Gouhin hid behind one on the other side. They were getting shot from at least four guys, and they could hear Legoshi struggling upstairs. Suddenly a table flew down the stairs, hitting two of the lions with guns. As they were stunned, Keanu and Gouhin popped out, shooting them dead. Keanu noticed he was out of ammo for his AK. He dropped it on the stairs, along with the magazines. He cocked his glock and started bolting upstairs towards Legoshi. He was in the kitchen, fighting with three unarmed lions. Keanu aimed to shoot one of them, but he was hit in the arm with a bat, dropping his gun. The lion then hit him in the chest with the bat, making Keanu drop to his knees. Right when the lion was about to swing for Keanu's head, Gouhin shot him in the throat with an arrow. Keanu jumped up, knocking the lion to the ground and stomping the arrow through the back of his neck. He ran to help Legoshi, punching a lion in the back of the head. The five of them fought in the kitchen, it was chaos. Gouhin shot one in the stomach with his crossbow, the lion fell to the ground, and started crawling away. Keanu grabbed a pot of boiling water from the stove and threw it in another lion's face. The lion screamed in pain as Keanu grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the eye, grabbing him by the head and slamming it against the counter so the knife entered his skull. Legoshi threw the last lion against the wall and stomped him out. Suddenly, a gunshot was heard. The lion who crawled away found Keanu's glock on the ground and shot at him. Keanu was shot in his left leg. He yelled out in pain and fell on the floor. Gouhin quickly kicked the lion in the jaw, knocking him out. He then shot an arrow through his head. Keanu was leaned against a kitchen counter, bleeding profusely.
-"Bandages won't stop that, and we don't have anything to suture it. You know what we gotta do." Gouhin told Keanu.
Keanu groaned, drawing a knife from a drawer. He handed it to Gouhin. Gouhin took the knife, and jammed it in Keanu's wound. Keanu cried out in pain. Legoshi turned his head in disgust, he couldn't watch that, he nearly threw up. Gouhin took the bullet out, throwing it on the ground. He grabbed the knife and put it on the stove to heat.
-"Legoshi, head on upstairs, we'll be with you in a moment." Keanu told him.
-"Are you sure you're gonna be okay?" Legoshi asked, worried.
-"Certainly better than Haru if you don't get your ass upstairs!" Keanu yelled at him. Legoshi snapped out of it and ran upstairs.
Keanu groaned in pain, sitting on the kitchen floor. Gouhin handed him a bottle of whiskey from a nearby table. Keanu took it, downing a few big gulps. Gouhin took the knife from the stove, it was red-hot. He looked at Keanu, who was already biting down on a wooden cutting board. Keanu quickly nodded, closing his eyes. Gouhin pressed the red-hot knife against Keanu's leg wound. Keanu screamed, albeit muffled from biting down. Gouhin pulled the knife away from Keanu. Keanu spat out the cutting board from his mouth, it was broken in half, with his teeth marks clearly embedded into the board. A lion ran up the stairs towards them, his gun drawn. Gouhin quickly threw the knife, hitting the lion in the neck. The lion fell backwards down the stairs. Gouhin ran and picked up Keanu's glock, throwing it to him. Gouhin grabbed a big wooden table carried it to the kitchen, flipping it to it's side. Keanu reloaded his gun. The two took cover behind the table. Voices yelled from downstairs, and footsteps were rapidly approaching.
-"We've got some more company, can you shoot?" Gouhin asked Keanu. Keanu nodded, taking another sip of whiskey from the bottle. Gouhin and Keanu aimed their weapons towards the stairs, across the table, eager to shoot.
(God damn you Legoshi, I've officially gone crazy.) Louis thought to himself as he was running. He ran through the black market, in a huge hurry. He could hear the gunfire, it was practically an orchestra. He ran towards the shishigumi hideout, and saw that lions were pouring in from the front. He couldn't go through there, he'd get killed in an instant. He thought for a second, before getting an idea. He sneaked around the back, and saw a door that was open. He entered inside quietly, still hearing gunshots. He decided to lie low in there for a bit. His heart was pounding. He reached into his waist band, pulling out a gun. He cocked it, and aimed it at the door in case anyone came in.
Lions were dropping fast, and it didn't seem like there was a lot of left. Keanu and Gouhin were still behind the table, shooting at anyone who came through. A struggle could be heard upstairs, glass breaking, and a girl screaming.
-"Go! Help Legoshi! I'll handle the rest." Gouhin told Keanu. Keanu nodded, got up and started limping upstairs, holding onto his injured leg, he made it halfway up the stairs before stopping, and turning around.
-"Gouhin wait!" Keanu shouted. Gouhin turned to look at him
-"What?" Gouhin asked, impatiently.
-"Grab my AK downstairs, throw it in my car and drive my car to your place, I'll pick it up tomorrow if we live." Keanu told him. Gouhin lowered his crossbow, looking at Keanu in absolute disappointment.
-"You're kidding me, right? THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE CONCERNED WITH RIGHT NOW!?" Gouhin yelled at Keanu.
-"Yeah Legoshi, Haru, I'm on it. Just don't scratch it up." Keanu replied, tossing his car keys at Gouhin. He limped upstairs. He saw a big door, and he could hear fighting behind it. He threw away his cigarette, and opened the door.
He saw Legoshi fighting an older lion in the middle of the room, they were punching, kicking and biting each other. Haru was sitting in the corner of the room, absolutely terrified and crying. Suddenly the chief lion bit into Legoshi's arm. Legoshi yelped in pain, and fell on the floor. The lion still had his teeth in Legoshi's arm, trying to rip it off. Keanu mustered up all the strength he had left in him and ran towards the lion, dropkicking him in the back. The lion let go of Legoshi's arm, falling on the ground, hurt. Legoshi stood up into a fighting position, helping Keanu stand up. The lion turned around and looked at them.
-"Really? Two on one?" He asked.
-"It took 3 of you to take one rabbit, it's only fair." Keanu responded. The chief lion chuckled.
-"Alright, let's finish this." The lion said, putting out his cigar. He stood up and cracked his knuckles.
Legoshi rushed at the lion, but he punched him and Legoshi was knocked back. Keanu picked up the lion's cane from the ground and hit him in the knee. The lion fell on one knee and Keanu hit him again, this time in the teeth. The lion bit onto the cane, breaking it. He punched Keanu. Keanu was knocked back a bit, and the lion rushed at him. Keanu took the broken cane and stabbed the lion in the gut. He yelped in pain and fell back. Legoshi ran up again and hit him in the head with his knee. The lion fell on the ground. Keanu rushed him and jumped behind him, putting him in a choke hold. Legoshi started punching the lion repeatedly in the head and chest. The lion headbutted Keanu, prompting him to let go of him. Keanu fell on the ground, stunned. The lion kicked Legoshi in the chest, knocking the wind out of him. The lion then turned around and started choking Keanu. Keanu struggled to breathe, kicking the lion in the knee, but it was worthless. Keanu's vision began to blur.
(Is this it? Is this how I die?) He thought to himself. (Not how I wanted to go...but it doesn't look like I have much of a choice.) Everything was turning dark. (Mom... I hope I'll see you...) His final thoughts rang. He closed his eyes.
Suddenly, he could breathe again. He heard the chief lion screaming. He opened his eyes, and saw Legoshi on top of the lion, with his teeth buried in his shoulder. The lion was on the ground, not moving. Keanu caught his breath for a bit, looking at the lion. He was bleeding a lot. He looked up at Legoshi,whose mouth was all bloody. Legoshi looked at the lion, then at Haru, then at Keanu. He reached his hand out towards him. Keanu grabbed Legoshi's hand and stood up. They both walked towards Haru, who was still sitting scared in the corner.
-"Haru...are you alright?" Legoshi asked, weakened from the fight.
-"Legoshi...you came for me..." Haru responded. Legoshi said nothing, just embracing Haru in his arms.
-"I thought I lost you..." Legoshi said, falling down on top of Haru, exhausted from the fight.
Keanu lifted him up across his shoulder, and walked over to the lion chief again. He was still alive, although barely. Keanu took his gun out and aimed it at his head. Legoshi looked in Keanu's eyes. Keanu looked at Legoshi, then at Haru. He stood for a moment, before putting his gun back in his belt.
-"Let him bleed out." Keanu said, walking out of the room with Legoshi and Haru.
