Chapter 10

Mirror Mirror

The house was immaculate, that's what kept running through Mercedes's mind as Sam gave her a tour of his second home. It was warm with it's modern industrial build, neutral colors and plush looking furniture but the thing that stood out to her was the glass. It was basically a glass house but as he explained it, they were privacy windows and no one could see on the inside from outside.

Sam made sure to show her the entire house because what he planned to utilize every surface and wall once the time came which was nearing because for the past few moments he's watched her slowly walking around the large living room taking in her surrounds. He watched the subtle way her her curls bounced when she turned her head, the way the warm lighting hit her dark eyes making them look like pools of honey and the way her hips swayed when she walked.

"Mercedes." Sam said walking closer to her watching her turn around slowly noticing the shimmering of her dress dancing off her the deep brown tones of her skin. He looked down at the beautiful woman standing in front of him running his arms down her bare arms before slowly running them back up making her shudder.

"You can still change your mind." He breathed out restraining his self from taking her right there, she wasn't doing anything but standing there and looking at him. Her doe eyes pulling him into her and the satin feel of her skin against his hands was making him increasingly aware that she had a serious effect on his control.

"Is that what you want? Me to change my mind?" She asked shuddering again when he drug a finger along her collarbone before dipping it at the junction of her breast.

"I want you to be sure." He responded hooking his finger around her dress strap sliding it down her shoulder doing it to the other as well lightly brushing his fingertips along her skin. His room was nothing like the one back in Savannah, it was warmer almost more lived in with a full gaming system, built speakers and a large tv much bigger than the one in Savannah. She could tell by this room alone that he didn't bring many people here because it felt like she was entering a piece of him that he kept away by his commanding presence and smooth demeanor. "Marley child go home, I'm trying to get my beauty rest!" Unique replied rolling her eyes and wishing like hell she would go away.

"I recognized the dress!"

"Shit!" She said under her breath before rolling out of bed knowing she wasn't getting any rest at this point, she buzzed her in and walked downstairs to let her in.

"How could you?" Marley said as soon as Unique opened the door.

"How could I what Marley? I thought you were in Paris…" Unique asked closing the door behind her when she stormed in like she lived there.

"You know how I feel about him and you still helped his new little project. I know your work when I see it and she was screaming "beat by Unique!"

"She looked amazing right? Baby has curves for days and with her natural hair already being so full and…" Unique started but stopped with a guilty look. "Look that man don't want you honey and I thought we talked about you and that Jake character trying things out."

"Jake was supposed to make him jealous nothing more." Marley responded rolling her eyes.

"Well if I were you I would make him a permanent fixture in your life because Sammy has moved on to some dark chocolate and he is already hooked."

"He's not hooked, he's just testing the waters and I guarantee she'll be gone after he gets whatever he wants from her." Marley said and Unique couldn't help but think she was trying to convince herself more she was her.

"Let him go child and do you and me a favor by going home!"

"As my friend I expect you not to further help him or her until I am able to get more information about who this woman is."

"And as your friend respectfully I think the fuck not. Sam was my client before you two decided to derail your career and jump on his dick because he flashed that cute as smile at you and he will continue to remain my client despite this crazy as idea you have of him wanting you. Good night." Unique said before walking over to her door and opening it.

"She's nothing special and you know." Marley spat walking towards the door before Unique grabbed her arm giving her a stern look.

"We have been friends for a long time so take this a friend giving really good advice. She is special to him, no I don't know her and I don't know what type of whatever they have going on but Sam hasn't been back here in years and he brought her. Do yourself a favor and let him go before you end up on the wrong end of things yet again because you can't handle rejection." Unique said before letting her arm go and watching her walk out angrily

"Whew chile…" Unique said to herself shaking her head and locking up making a mental note to check on Marley again in a few days.
