Rain sprinkled across Cherryton. The smell of it bringing an odd sense of peace. Legoshi stomped through the school's halls, determined to find what he was looking for. Not a killer, but a friend. He stepped in front of Keanu's dorm and knocked angrily.

-"Keanu! Open up! We need to talk!" Legoshi yelled, but there was no answer on the other side.

He waited for a bit before knocking again. Nothing. Not a peep. He slowly grabbed the door handle and opened the door. It was unlocked, strangely. He walked inside Keanu's empty dorm and noticed the state it was in. It was very clean. Almost brand new, which was very unusual considering Keanu's messy lifestyle choices. It looked almost ready for someone to move in. He then noticed a flower pot sitting on the windowsill. It was empty, with a sticky note attached to it saying "GARDENING CLUB". Legoshi thought for a second... No... It can't be... Right now? After he knew exactly how he felt about Haru? Legoshi groaned and stormed out of the room, making his way towards the gardening club. He climbed the stairs to the roof and opened the door. He saw Keanu sitting on a bench covered by a small roof, overlooking the school courtyard. He was smoking a cigarette and just staring out into the distance. Legoshi slowly made his way over to him, his anger in check. He stood next to Keanu for a moment, not saying anything. Keanu didn't look at him, he held an almost burnt out cigarette in his hand and just soaked in the view.

-"You ever think about us? Carnivores and herbivores." Keanu asked.

-"All the time." Legoshi answered, crossing his arms.

-"It's so... weird. Don't you think?" Keanu continued.

-"Keanu, we need to talk." Legoshi interrupted.

-"I mean, really, if there is a god he's gotta be a cruel one." Keanu ignored.

-"Keanu..." Legoshi insisted.

-"Who would decide to just... make us dependent on one another." Keanu kept going.

-"Keanu!" Legoshi yelled. Keanu stopped his monologue. "We need. To talk. About what you did." Legoshi affirmed. Keanu chuckled and flicked his cigarette off the roof.

-"Which one of my sins has come back for me now, hm?" Keanu asked, in his gravelly tone, turning his head towards Legoshi.

-"When I left for Gouhin's, you looked for me, you couldn't find me so you went to my dorm. What did you do to Jack?" Legoshi questioned, a low growl in his voice.

-"I asked him where you were." Keanu played dumb, knowingly smiling at Legoshi.

-"You have no goddamn right to treat him like that! He was so shaken up he barely told me what happened!" Legoshi berated, Keanu sighed.

-"I told him, the entire situation could've been avoided if he was just honest. And besides, I didn't even leave a bruise on him." Keanu brushed off.

-"Who the hell do you think you are!? Jack's my best friend, and I don't wanna ever hear again that you laid even a finger on him!" Legoshi yelled. Keanu stood up, looking Legoshi in the eyes.

-"Oh I'm sorry. I apologize for wanting to know if you're fucking alive or not. I saw the blood, and I saw Jack acting sketchy. What, I was supposed to go back to my dorm and sip tea while you were bleeding out in a ditch somewhere?" Keanu bit back, his sarcasm acting as a barrier between him and Legoshi.

-"I told you I didn't care if I got hurt finding the killer. And now that I see that THIS is how you plan on helping me? I don't want your help." Legoshi declared. Keanu chuckled.

-"That's how it is, huh? Y'know what? Fuck you. Fuck you and Louis both. You think you know so much with 17 whole years up your ass. What, you get into one dangerous situation and now you're a spiritual guru? You aren't even an adult yet." Keanu barked at Legoshi. Legoshi's eyes widened, and he took a step back.

"Just... Why? Why do you insist on doing reckless shit like this? You're young, don't waste the best years of your life on death and crime and acting like something you're not." Keanu sighed, walking past Legoshi and towards the roof exit.

-"I do it because I owe it to the herbivores. I owe them for all the fear I've caused to them. I owe it to Haru who I've so selfishly fallen in love with. I owe it to everyone in this school who keeps looking over their shoulder, afraid to be devoured." Legoshi explained. Keanu stood in place at the door to the roof, holding it open with one hand.

"I don't know where you come from, or why you do the things you do. But I know that I have to be better. It's not about finding the killer and then killing him out of revenge. I need to know why he did it. I need to face him, for everyone's sake. And I have to do it alone." Legoshi continued. Keanu stood in silence for a moment or two, before walking through the door and making his way downstairs.

He walked over to the principal's office, knocking on the door.

-"Come in." A voice spoke from inside the office. Keanu pulled the door open and stepped inside.

-"Good afternoon Principal Gon. I apologize for interrupting you in your work." Keanu humbly bowed.

-"It's alright. To what do I owe this visit?" Gon asked, fixing his glasses.

-"I will be taking a few days off from school. I have some... things to take care of." Keanu requested. The principal looked at him and nodded agreeably.

-"Understood. Take as much time as you need and come back to class. We would love to see you graduate."

-"Even though I'm not Beastar material?" Keanu jokingly asked. The principal smiled.

-"It's not for everybody. That doesn't mean you can't impact the world in a positive way." Gon reassured.

-"Of course. Oh, by the way. One of the pillars in the courtyard was smashed, and I noticed the bathrooms aren't exactly in the best condition. I'll be sure to put in a kind word, who knows. Maybe some kind soul will donate to the school's funding." Keanu remarked. The principal gave a slight chuckle.

-"We appreciate it." Gon thanked. "Please, give my warmest and humblest regards to Araki."

Keanu nodded and left the office. He walked through the rain to his car, still in his school uniform.
