Summary: Luz always knew that vampires existed, she just never imagined that she would become one. Now with new powers, she uncovers secrets that have been hidden for years and attempts to bring peace to the Isles

The watchers smiled at the two of them, gazing to each other with a nod.
"Excellent." Equilibrar said as she snapped her fingers, opening a portal before them.
"Your first world awaits you." Orden said.
"Before we go, what do we have to do? Who or what are we looking for?" Luz asked.
"There is a person." Equilibar said, making a holographic image of her, "She is a being of darkness and hatred, she's been dubbed Athena."
The two nodded and headed towards the portal. They put the belts on and the suits cover their bodies. They go through.
Dimension V-73:
The two step out of the portal and look around.
"It looks like the standard Boiling Isles." Luz said, "So... in order to avoid getting confused, what should I call you?"
"You can call me Phoenix."
"Phoenix?" Luz asked, "There a reason for that?"
"Yeah, but it's not a pretty story." Phoenix said as their helmets retracted to show their faces and the suits retracted into their belts.
"Try me." Luz said as they began walking through the forest.
"Well, long story short, I was born prematurely, and I wasn't expected to survive, so mom used dark magic on me. It gave me the powers of a Phoenix and kept me alive. If you're me, then I'm guessing you had the whole, fighting on the bridge of the castle, right?"
Luz nodded.
"Yeah, so, unlike you I actually got impaled on a spike, went right through my heart." Phoenix said, "After dying, my powers awakened, and I was alive. I saved Eda and even managed to regress her curse a little bit. That's the short version, there's much more after that, but that's beside the point. So, what about you? What can you do?"
"Well, my story isn't as bad as yours but it's not any prettier. An incident when I was young traumatized me, making me scared of my own shadow. Until I went to see a therapist, who suggested I do something to help give me a sense of control in my life again. One of their suggestions was taking kickboxing classes and that's what I did. I made rivals, I got in trouble beating up bullies, and I lived my life until I was given a choice of being sent to military school or Reality Check Camp." Luz said to Phoenix, who shivered at the mention of that camp. "Anyways, I obviously didn't go because Owlbert stole my Azura book, and I ran after him. I came to the Boiling Isles and began life anew with friends, a girlfriend, and a home until I can find a new way back."
"Let me guess... Amity?"
Luz nodded. They kept walking until they heard growling. They looked around, seeing a brunette girl devour a dead animal.
"W-w-who's that?" Luz asked.
"I'm... not sure." Phoenix said.
Their talking was enough for the girl to stand up and looked at them. The glasses and brown hair wasn't enough to disguise her.
"Boscha?" They said.
Another difference, her eyes were changing between red and black, almost like one was fighting for control. Boscha started walking towards them, keeping her mouth open to show off her fangs.
"What the hell?!" All three of them shouted in shock.
"W-w-who are you two?" Boscha asked, in pain, as she sniffed the air around them. "And... and why... do you look and smell like Luz?!"
She fell to her knees and held her head.
"I can't... stop it!" She said, "H-h-help!"
The black took over and Boscha stood up and hissed at them.
"Well, it seems she's not... there." Phoenix said, "Can you do magic?"
"I do." Luz said, holding up her hands, "What about you?"
A familiar red crawled up Phoenix's arm and her hair caught fire.
"You could say that." She said, lighting her arm on fire.
"Wait!" Another voice said, getting between them, "No, not you too! I don't know what happened to you, Willow, and Emira, but this isn't you!"
The new Luz couldn't break through, as Boscha charged. The new Luz said a simple sorry, and hit Boscha right in the nose, knocking her a couple dozen feet away.
"Follow me!" She said, running in the opposite direction.
Both Luzs didn't thing to question it as they turned to follow the main Luz of this universe, but they were surprised to see she was incredibly fast!
"We're gonna lose! We got a pickup the pace!" Luz said to Phoenix!
"You read my mind!" Phoenix said to Luz with a nod.
Moving fast, Phoenix jumped in the air and turned into a small phoenix, while Luz put her arms out behind her and activated her the fire glyphs on her gloves to push herself forward faster! They ran/flew out of the woods and to the only place that could be safe... the Owl House. They ran inside, where they found Lucia on the couch. Bottle in one hand, scroll floating in the air, and an arm in the other. She didn't notice that her sister seemed to copy herself, she didn't even notice that Luz was back until a girl with black and red hair ran down the stairs and hugged this dimension Luz.
"Luz! I was so worried!" Amity said.
Said Luz hugged her back as Lucia turned to them and saw 3 versions of her sister!
"Whoa! What is in this apple blood?" Lucia said as she looked at the bottle of apple blood she had been drinking.
"Uh, sis, it's not the Apple Blood." Vampire Luz said, "I found them in the woods, whatever happened with Willow and Emira happened to Boscha too. They were about to become her next meal."
Lucia got up, taking a big bite out of the arm.
"So." She chewed and swallowed the flesh, "Where did they come from?"
"I don't know now. I just found them with Boscha before she tried to attack us." Vampire Luz said as she looked at her lookalikes.
"To answer your question, I'll ask another question. Do you know about the multiverse theory?" Fighter Luz asked as she tried not to stare at Lucia but failed. "And why do you look like us and are eating flesh?!"
"Well, I'm Luz's older sister and the reason I'm eating flesh is because I'm a cannibal." Lucia said.
"Long story short, she was kidnapped and experimented on." Vampire Luz said, "So, she's no longer human. Now, back to the Multiverse, yes, I believe it, I'm not in the Human Realm."
"Well, that makes things easier." Fighter Luz said.
"It really does." Phoenix said with a nod and letting her power go out, "So, if you don't mind me asking, can you tell us about yourself and this universe? It will help us understand exactly what is going on around here, so we can help."
"Not unless you tell us as well." Lucia said as she gestured to them with the severed arm. "Like your orange hair and the other one's punk get up."
"I am not a punk. I may look like one, but I am NOT a punk." Fighter Luz said as she placed her hands on her hips.
"Pretty much, she's a kickboxer and I'm... well, I'm an Unkillable Fire God." Phoenix said, "But we really need to find out what's going on and fix."
"Okay, I can explain everything." Vampire Luz said as she gestured for them all to sit down in the den, "Alright, so, it started out as a normal hunt. Boscha, Willow, Emira, and I were hunting down a wounded animal. Then, we ran into some kind of deer, not the normal one we usually feed on. This one was black, with these weird red marking on it. It charged us and we ended up fighting it. Willow and Emira sunk their fangs into it in order to immobilize it, then Boscha went in for the final strike because of her fangs being better suited for that. I don't know what happened after that, but Emira and Willow's eyes began to turn black, and they started to attack us."
"Okay, okay, but by fangs, do you mean "vampire fangs?" As in you, Amity, Willow, Emira, and Boscha-" Fighter Luz said before being cut off.
"AND Skara are all vampires, yes. They exist here and I was turned by one before killing him and replacing him as the royal vampire." Vampire Luz said as she showed them her fangs.
"Amity, have you been able to reach Skara?" Vampire Luz asked.
"I've been trying, but her and Max are not answering." Amity said, "Damn vacations."
"So, we only have ourselves, but I think we can manage." Phoenix said as she looked around the room. "We have two vampires and a cannibal to help us."
"Yeah, but it would be good if we have heavy hitters like Eda or Lilith. They can really help with this unknown threat." Fighter Luz said.
"That could work." Vampire Luz said, "MOM!"
A groan came from the upstairs and Eda came trudging down.
"Kid, not all of us are nocturnal." Eda said, rubbing her eyes and seeing the three Luz's, "What kind of Shadow Magic is this?"
"And did you just call Eda, "mom?"" Fighter Luz asked Vampire Luz.
"It's not Shadow Magic, mom." Vampire Luz said, "These two are from different dimensions. Something's going on with Boscha, Emira, and Willow, and we need help."
"Okay, let me make a call to our 'Esteemed Emperor and Empress'." Eda said, "Let them know their kid is in danger."
Fighter Luz looked at Phoenix.
"She called Eda, 'Mom', right?" She asked, "I wasn't the only one that heard that?"
"No, I heard it too. But if Eda is her mom, what happened to our mom?" Phoenix asked, a little worried about the Camila Noceda of this universe.
Sure, it wasn't their mother, but she was still a version of her! How could any version of Luz not be worried about their mother? Lucia noticed their look, and nodded sadly, indicating that what they feared, did in fact happen. She was intentionally not talking about it, as she didn't want Luz to have to hear it. Deciding to change the subject, Fighter Luz took a deep breath and asked an important question.
"What did Eda mean by Emperor and Empress? Does that mean Belos is married?" She asked Lucia.
"No, Aunt Lily is." Lucia said, "She married Boscha's mom and they're kind of the new Emperor and Empress."
"And Belos?" Phoenix asked as she had her own problems with Belos/Titan and won't hesitate to put another one down.
"Poisoned by the Queen of Vampires." She said, pointing at Luz, "That girl has something about her, something about our family, that made her strong. We don't know what, but we're looking into it."
"Dang, Belos is dead here? I'm envious." Fighter Luz said with her arms crossed. "He's still a giant ass in my universe."
"Oh, don't even get me started on the Belos from my universe." Phoenix said.
Meanwhile with Vampire Luz and Eda, they had just finished explaining the situation to Emperor Lilith and Empress Elizabeth and the appearance of two Luzs here to fix it.
"Don't do anything dangerous, we'll be right over." Lilith said.
"Lily, there are three versions of Luz here. How can you be so sure I can do anything to stop all of them?" Eda asked her sister.
"Well for starters, don't let them leave the house." Lilith said before the call ended.
"Oh, yeah, why didn't I think of that." Eda said, sarcastically, "That's what my tax money's going to? Jeez. Alright, no one... where the fuck did they go?"
Lucia pointed upstairs.
"They're in Luz's room."
'How the hell did they sneak past me so quickly? Only one of them knows Shadow Magic!' Eda thought with surprise.
Eda walked up the stairs and opened Luz's room, seeing the three displaying what each of them can do. Eda was very nervous around the flamy one, for the fact that vampires are weak to fire.
"Wow, your Phoenix fire is so pretty. It's unlike any fire I've ever seen before." Vampire Luz said with awe.
"Thanks. I've learned about all I can about it but I'm working on to heal other with it." Phoenix said as she held up her flaming arm, holding a blue fire ball, "I've even been able to make Eda's curse regress."
"I thought phoenix used tears to heal?" Fighter Luz asked.
"Legends say that but I'm a Phoenix GOD. Different rules apply to some things." Phoenix said as she put out the fire ball. "Speaking of rules, how do you glyph gloves work exactly without the material crumbling up to be used as fuel?"
"I got them from Eda. She said they're made of a rare material that could have magic imprinted on them. So with them and the glyphs, I can manipulate the magic of the isles to use them in tons of ways." Fighter Luz said as she held up her left hand, using the ice glyph to back a small ice cube in her hand. "I can also imprint glyph patches on the back of them. I've got the power and healing patches on the back of my hands."
"What about you?" Fight Luz asked Vampire Luz, "What can you do?"
"Well, it might be easier if I show you."
She disappeared into Fighter Luz's shadow, before they watched another shadow jump between shadows.
"Wow!" Phoenix and Fighter Luz said as they watched Vampire Luz jump around the room's shadows.
"This is Shadow Magic, a type of magic only vampires can use and it's very useful for battle or travel." Vampire Luz said before she began making shadow puppets while still being a shadow. Her head popped out of the shadow.
"There's a lot of other things I can do, such as shapeshift, walk on walls, make claws out of shadow." Vampire Luz said.
Eda cleared her throat.
"Hey... Kids." Eda said, "Could the... sparky one get put out before she lights my house on fire?"
"Mom!" Vampire Luz said to her. "That's rude!"
"No, it's fine. I get it, she's just worried. Vampires and fire don't mix." Phoenix said as she held her hand up.
"Plus, I know a combo that can make water to extinguish the fire." Fighter Luz said.
Phoenix let her powers go out.
"Alright, here's the deal, Emperor Prissy is coming over, and since Boscha's in danger, she's probably going to be pissed." Eda said, "Try to be on your best behavior, all of you. She's smart, she might be able to help fix this."
Fighter Luz nodded to this, knowing that someone like Lilith would be a lot better as a ruler and is one of the smartest witches she knows. They heard the door kicked open and heard steps running up the stairs.
"What happened to my baby!?" Lilith screamed.
"Where is she?!" Elizabeth asked.
"Dang, they got here fast." Phoenix commented.
"Mom's will do anything to keep their kid safe." Eda said.
All the Luzs and Lucia could agree with that, but Fighter Luz was surprised a bit.
"Wow, you really are motherly, Eda. I guess babysitting Owl Queen's babies was practice without even knowing it." She commented.
"Ah, shut it." Eda said, "I... I just couldn't let the kids wander around the Isles alone."
"Sure." Fighter Luz said with a smirk before Lilith and Elizabeth barged into the room.
They were visibly surprised to see the three Luzs but quickly got over it to focus on the task at hand.
"What happened to my child?" Lilith said.
"We already told you. Some creep came and infected them with some strange magic." Eda said to her sister.
"Edalyn, be more specific! I can't help if you don't go into more details!" Lilith said before turning to Vampire Luz. "Luz, could you explain it clearer?"
Vampire Luz nodded to Lilith as she explained what happened during once more, all while the trio of vampires in question were in a cave and bowing to their new master.
"I've messed with dark magic, but this... this is incredible." Athena said, "A Vampire army, I could destroy the multiverse with this!"
Unlike Fighter Luz and Phoenix Luz, Athena could instantly know about the universes she traveled too and she was elated to know vampires lived in this one! With just one under her control, she could make an entire army in just a matter of hours but three makes it even better!
"You three, tell me what magic you all possess. Both as witches and as vampires." Athena said, knowing they weren't born vampires but turned vampires.
Emira was the first to walk forward and kneel.
"I was an Illusionist." She said, "Now I specialize in making Shadow Clones."
"Oooh, impressive. How many can you make?" Athena asked her.
"10 in the day but around 25 in the night." Emira said.
"Such a number but what do you mean during the day?" Athena asked her.
"Our Hexside uniform are for the new shadow track, made specially for vampires. They have a protective enchantment that lets us walk in the day without worry of death." Emira explained to her master.
"Interesting." Athena said, "And how strong are they?"
"They are stronger than Illusions they can even hit someone."
"Incredible." Athena said, "Who's next?"
Boscha stepped forward and kneeled.
"I was a potion expert, but now I'm a shapeshifter. People, objects, animals, I can become them all." Boscha said.
"A shapeshifter? That's a very useful skill. Show me what you can do by turning into me." Athena said to Boscha.
"As you command." Boscha said as she got up and began to shapeshift, becoming an exact copy of Athena, before turning into Emira, then changing into Willow.
"Perfect, and what of you?" Athena asked.
"I was and still am a botanist." Willow said, "Only now I deal with plants that feast on blood and are made of shadows."
"Shadow plants? This is just getting better and better!" Athena said with a chuckle under her helmet.
"I can't wait to have fun with this." Athena said.
At the Owl House, Vampire Luz was trying her best to remain calm. Half her Brood was in danger, and she doesn't know how to fix this.
'If we can't fix this before tomorrow night, then we're in trouble.' She thought.
"Hey, Kid, why don't you calm down a little?" Eda said, "You've always managed to fix problems, this is no different."
"But I don't know how to fix this." Luz said.
"Well, you're smart enough and strong enough to fight this." Eda said, "Now let's get downstairs, the sparky one seems very nervous around Lilith."
"You mean Phoenix? Why would she be worried about Aunt Lily?" She asked as Eda.
"Not sure. Maybe they don't get along yet in her universe." Eda said.
Downstairs, Phoenix's leg was shaking as Lilith sat next to her. It wasn't that she disliked her, but... you really can't help but get nervous around the person that killed you... twice. Okay, maybe Golden Guard delivered the final blow, but she was still the one that formulated the plan. Even if this Lilith didn't do it, she still looked like her, she can't get past that.
"Are you alright, Phoenix? You I seem a bit nervous." Lilith said to the alternate Luz, knowing about them after they told them about themselves.
"F-F-Fine. Just nervous is all because of…..Athena!" Phoenix said, using some truth to tell a lie.
"She's not the only one. We're all nervous about this." Fighter Luz said as was in the kitchen for a little food, can't fight on an empty stomach.
"Well, if you need to talk to someone, I'm here." Lilith said, "You may not be this dimensions Luz, but as far as I'm concerned, you're my niece all the same."
Phoenix went stiff. She got up and walked out of the Owl House, confusing Lilith.
"Did I say something wrong?" Lilith asked.
It took a second for Fighter Luz to realize it.
"Oh, damn!" She said, "I totally forgot, in her dimension you killed her by tossing her off the castle's bridge!"
"I did what?!" Lilith said as Elizabeth looked shocked at her wife.
"My goodness!" Elizabeth said as she covered her mouth.
Neither of them could believe Lilith would do such a thing, throwing an innocent child off a bridge?!
"Yeah, you did that to me in my dimension, difference is, I didn't get impaled by one of those spikes." Fighter Luz said, "It awoken her powers though, but maybe it was still a horrible memory or something, I don't know. You made up for it in my dimension by splitting the curse with Eda."
Lilith stood up and walked towards the door.
"Love, what are you doing?" Elizabeth asked.
"I'm going to go talk to her." Lilith said, "I need to tell her that I'm not that horrible version of me."
"Are you sure that's a good idea? She walked out to SPECIFICALLY get away from you." Fighter Luz said to her as she came in the den with a sandwich.
"Avoiding a problem will only make it worse. The only way to fix it to face time head on." Lilith said as she walked after Phoenix.
Lilith walked to the cliff and looked down. She made a spell circle and teleported down there. She saw Phoenix, using her powers. Lilith finally got a good look at her. Orange hair with fire, red going up her arms, her eyes being red and orange. Lilith had to say, this was incredible to witness, and at the same time, terrifying. Lilith felt a little nervous for her counterpart, as she probably had to stare down this... God. Phoenix moved at speeds that even Vampire Luz couldn't achieve and slammed her fist into a rock. It didn't break, it completely shattered, there weren't even pebble.
"Incredible."
Phoenix turned around and looked at Lilith. Her fire didn't go out, which made Lilith slightly nervous.
"Now, I know that my counterpart threw you off a bridge-"
"It isn't just that!" Phoenix said, "You hunted me down for months! You tried to kill me, you tried to kill Eda! You succeeded in killing me for several days! I... I want to like you, but every time I look at you, I get reminded of... her. I know you haven't done anything to me, and from the sounds of it, you've never hurt this version of Luz or anyone, but I keep seeing the woman that nearly ended the world."
'Ended the world? Just how far did I fall in her universe?' Lilith thought in shock before taking a breath, "I understand that it's hard to look at and not see her, but I assure you, I am not you Lilith. I am a caring mother and a kind emperor; I will do everything in my power to protect my family and my citizens. That includes you during your stay here."
Phoenix closed her eyes and Lilith heard the sound of water evaporating quickly, realizing that it was the girl crying and her powers are burning the water faster than it can come out. Lilith walked over and hugged her, making her powers go out.
"I'm not that version of Lilith, I will never be that version of Lilith." Lilith said.
Phoenix didn't know why but she felt protected now, even if it was Lilith, and hugged her back.
"Come on, let's go back."
They arrived at the Owl House and saw Vampire Luz explaining this.
"We have to stop this... Athena person before tomorrow night."
"What's tomorrow night?" Fighter Luz asked.
"The New Moon."
"What's the New Moon?" Phoenix asked, getting their attention.
"It's a phase of the moon, where it is completely gone from the sky. It sends young vampires into a fit of uncontrollable instincts, also known as being Feral." Vampire Luz said, "If we can't stop them before that, I won't be able to help you, I'll end up being more of a problem than my Brood."
Fighter Luz and Phoenix gasped at this news, the thought of facing Feral vampires was something neither of them could handle without having to kill them and they didn't want to kill alternate version of their friends.
"Then we need to find Athena and end this now!" Fighter Luz said before turning to Lilith. "The Lilith of my universe was able to make a Scrying Potion that let us spy in the Emperor's Coven. Can you do the same?"
"I'd need all the ingredients first and a big caldron for mix it all." Lilith said to her.
"I got plenty of caldrons. So we just need the stuff." Eda said as she pointed to the kitchen.
"I can help as well. If my memory is correct, we need Fire Bee Honey, Porcusline Quills, Snaggleback Snaggleteeth, and Fairy Tears." Elizabeth said.
"I can deal with the fire bees." Phoenix said, "I'm immune to fire and I can heal instantly."
"Okay, that works well." Lilith said, "Luz-"
The three Luz's looked at her.
"The one with fangs." Lilith said, "Can you get the quills?"
"No problem. I can sneak up on or blitz an animal before they even know it, only this time I won't be drinking its blood." Vampire Luz said with a nod.
"Excellent." Lilith said before turning to Fighter Luz. "You'll be in charge of getting the Snaggleteeth from a Snaggleback. I don't know what they're like in your universe but -"
"The only one I've met was the one Eda ate as an owl beast and then was used as the disco ball for Grom." Fighter Luz said, interrupting Lilith.
"Sadly, I feel like that's the least disturbing thing that's been in Eda's mouth." Lilith said.
"You'd be right on that!" Eda said from the kitchen.
"All that leaves are Fairy Tears." Elizabeth said as Lucia raised her hand.
"Leave that to me. I've also wanted to know what a fairy tastes like for a while now." Lucia said as she finished the arm she was eating.
She held the bones from her meal up and eyed them.
"I'll save you for later." She said.
Lucia put them in her pocket as Fighter Luz and Phoenix grimaced from it, they still couldn't believe the older sister of the vampire version of themself was a cannibal. The group split up, each going to their respective target. Everyone got directions from Lilith and Eda about the last known locations of their targets, in case they needed the help in finding them. First one to reach her target, was Phoenix. She had been told of a nest near the northwest corner of the forest, so she took off flying to find it quickly. A sky-high view would help as she gazed around the forest for the fire bee nest.
"Alright, just follow the flames." Phoenix said.
Searching the forest, she found a faint smell of smoke and a glow of flames coming from a spot not far from her.
'Bingo.' She thought as she flew down to the spot and landed in the ground.
"Alright bee's, let's talk this out, fire to fire." Phoenix Luz said, "I need your honey."
She saw the fire bee nest was actually a big colony that had several trees with orange honey all around them. The fire bees were just that, gerbil sized bees with fire burning around them. They noticed Phoenix and began moving into a swarm to attack her. She had a blank stare, like what would they do to her? She walked past them as they stung her, not affecting her at all.
"Oh wow, it hurts so much." Phoenix Luz said with sarcasm as she pulled out a jar, scooping in a generous amount of fire honey with her hand. "There."
Putting a lid on the jar, Phoenix Luz licked some of the honey from her hand and liked the taste a lot!
'Mmm, it's like sweet and spicy sauce but with a kick of hot sauce. I should make a note to get some of this when I get home.' She thought as she turned to leave the colony.
"Easy." She said.
In another part of the Isles, Fighter Luz was having a little more of a problem. Eda had told her the location of the Snaggleback after she let it go about a month ago. He was exactly like the one back in her universe and because of that, he was running for his life from Fighter Luz because he didn't want to WILLINGLY give her his teeth.
"Just stop running! This will only hurt for a second!" She shouted as the Snaggleback ran ahead of her!
"That's what they all say!" He screamed back to Luz!
"Ugh, I hate this!" Fighter Luz said, "Why can't things be easy!?"
She didn't have time to waste chasing him, she had to get his teeth for the Scrying Potion and Damnit she was going to her them!
'Sorry buddy but I don't have time to waste in you anymore!' Fighter Luz thought as she used her gloves to create 3 plant bombs to capture him. 'Three shots, make them count!'
"Line up the shot and..." Luz lined up the shot, "Fire!"
Fighter Luz threw her three plant bombs, making the Snaggleback looked back with a scream as all three hits him!
"OW!" He said in pain as he was sent rolling as vines wrapped him up in a large ball, making him roll into an alleyway.
"I tried to be nice, but you didn't listen." She said as she stopped by the ball, "Now I need those teeth."
She used the power glyph on her right hand to increase her strength, so it would be like picking flowers.
"Ow! Ow!" The Snaggleback let out before Fighter Luz put her left hand on his head.
"Calm down. I'll fix you up while taking a few more." She said as she activated the healing glyph to fill the pain and regrow his taken teeth. "About 7 should be enough."
After that, she gathered the teeth and left.
"Um, are you going to let me out?" The Snaggleback asked Fighter Luz, making her stop.
"Oh, right. Sorry." She said as she came back and use the ice glyph to freeze the vines and the power glyph to break them apart to free him. "There you go."
With the teeth collected, Fighter Luz made her way back to the owl house as her Vampire self was searching another part of the forest for a Porcuspine. She sniffed the air, getting the scent.
"Three miles North." She said, taking off in a sprint.
Moving as fast as she could, Vampire Luz ran through the forest while slipping in and out of the shadows so she could stay on the straightest and fastest path! She arrived at it and saw the giant spiked creature sleeping.
"Okay, I need to be careful with this." She said.
Vampire Luz had never run into a creature like this, it had spiked nearly all around its body to give it a perfect defense and offense.
"Alright, I shouldn't have a problem getting a couple quills." Vampire Luz said.
The second she grabbed it; the creature woke up.
"ROOOOOOAH!" it screeched out as its spines extended, making Vampire Luz turn into a shadow to prevent from being impaled!
"Okay, this is going to be one of THOSE kind of missions." Vampire Luz said, "I was feeling hungry anyway."
She sprinted and jumped at it, looking for a place to bite. The Porcuspine tried to impale Vampire Luz again by firing some spines to its right, but she stayed as a shadow to avoid it and saw its neck was now open!
'Gotcha!' Vampire Luz thought with her mouth open!
Luz sunk her fangs into the Porcuspine.
"SCRAAAA!" The Porcuspine screeched as it tried to throw her off but the vampire's fangs have too good of a grip on its neck!
They began sucking the blood out of it and feeding Vampire Luz as the beats was slowly tiring. She drained the animal and went to pull out quills.
"Thanks." She said, "These are going to help."
Vampire Luz turned on her merry way and walked off towards the owl house as she held 8 quills in her hand. All that was left was the fairy tears, and Lucia was on the case. As she walked, she hummed a little and ate the bones like someone eats a carrot.
"I had no idea that Bone Marrow was so delicious." She said, "It's like tang cream filling."
After accepting her new life as a cannibal, Lucia enjoyed many of her new abilities that came with it. Enhanced strength, a high pain tolerance, and a slight healing factor. Still, getting your leg blown off by the Golden Brat sucked, and the black blood took a bit to get used to, but she had to admit... being dead is awesome.
"Alright." She bit into a finger bone, "Where are the fairies?"
Lucia knew this was the right location as Lilith told her but maybe she had to look up higher for a possible nest. Lucia looked up and smirked.
"Alright, time to climb."
Right above her, Lucia saw an entire hive of fairies. All ready and waiting to be picked clean of their tears or eaten by Lucia as she put the remainder of the finger bone in her teeth to hold. Lucia grabbed the bark of the tree and began climbing up, using her strength to hang on with ease. She reached the nest and smiled, swallowing the bone.
"Evening!" She said.
The fairies started to bite her, until they saw her black blood. One thing to know about fairies... Cannibals are highly toxic to them.
"AAAAAAH!" they began to scream, spitting out the black blood and flying off in fear. "Fly away!"
"Oh, I don't think so!" Lucia said as she clenched her legs around the tree, holding on tight, before she began grabbing at various fairies, "Now then, I need to borrow some tears. We can do it the easy way, or we can do it the hard way, and just so you know, the hard way involves me eating you."
The fairies in her hand about 6 of them, shivered in fear of Lucia as they shook their heads.
"No! No! Please don't eat us! You can have our tears!" A female one said as she opened her mouth and began pulling a tooth out, a way to force herself to cry.
Lucia smiled as she pulled out a jar, holding it to them as they pulled out their own teeth and cried tears of pain and fear into it. Right until it was full.
"Thanks, see how easy that was?" Lucia asked.
Lucia dropped the fairies, sealed the jar, and climbed down, before heading back to the Owl House. She went in and handed the jar of tears to her mom.
"Here you go." She said.
"Wow, that was quick. You're the first one back." Eda said as she looked over the tears in a jaw. "And you got a single hive worth, that's even better."
"A few well-placed threats and I showed why Cannibals are at the top of the food chain." Lucia said.
"Just under Vampires." Luz said, appearing behind her, "And here are the quills. It didn't go according to plan but it was easy to take down."
"Excellent work, sweetie." Eda said as she too the quills from her youngest daughter and gestured to Lilith and Elizabeth on the couch. "Lily and Liz are just about ready for us."
"Now we just have to wait for-"
Phoenix and Fighter Luz walked in.
"We got the stuff." Fighter Luz said.
"Good, come on."
The group followed Eda to the married rulers and set down all of the ingredients on the coffee table. A jar of Fire Bee honey, 7 Snaggleteeth from the Snaggleback, 8 quills from a Porcuspine, and a jar full of Fairy tears.
"Good, now we can make the Potion and find out what is going on and where this person is." Lilith said.
"Great but how long is this going to take to make?" Fighter Luz asked.
"With three highly experienced potion makers like us, give us 10 minutes." Elizabeth said, referring to herself, Lilith, and Eda.
"Then get to work." Vampire Luz said, "I hate standing by while my Brood is in trouble, it makes me feel like I'm failing as a Primus."
"Don't worry. We'll find them and we'll save them." Phoenix said as she put a hand on Vampire Luz's shoulder.
The potion trio got to work on the Scrying Potion. Soon they were able to see the rest of the Brood.
"Yes, that's them!" Vampire Luz said with a smile, happy to see them.
"But where are they?" Fighter Luz asked, looking closer into the potion.
They saw Athena with the Brood kneeling in front of her.
"Soon, we'll begin the next step." Athena said, "Soon, this world shall be mine."
Vampire Luz growled; she was going to crystalize this woman's blood!
"What do you want us to do, master?" Willow asked Athena.
"This world needs a new leader." Athena said, "Your mission is to kill the current Emperor."
"Yes, Master." The three said.
Lilith went pale.
"But... that would mean..." Lilith realized what this meant, "She's going to send Boscha to kill us."
Vampire Luz went over and hugged her aunts, trying her best to calm them down.
"Don't worry, I won't let them get you." Vampire Luz said.
"I might have an idea." Phoenix said.
Later, In the woods, Lilith was standing, waiting for Boscha or Willow and Emira to show up. Personally, if she was going to die, she wanted to die at the hands of anyone BUT her daughter. She didn't want her last memory before death was to die by Boscha's hand, mind control or not.
"So, you're the Emperor here?" Athena asked, startling Lilith.
Lilith turned around and held her staff towards her.
"Indeed I am." Lilith said, "And you've poisoned the Princess's mind, which means you're a criminal here."
"Princess? Oh, you mean Boscha? Hehehehe." Athena said with a chuckle. "I was honestly surprised when I learned that you were her stepmother. I thought she just had one parent that could barely tolerate her."
"Do not speak of my daughter like you know her." Lilith said with a glare.
"Is she really a princess if she's second in line?" Athena asked, "Eh, I actually don't care. Kill her."
From behind Lilith, Boscha ran towards her. Lilith smiled before turned around and turning back into Vampire Luz. Vampire Luz held Boscha up by the neck.
"Now!"
Phoenix flew in and blasted with Athena with fire. The armored woman was sent flying back from the fire, smoking but not visibly damaged as she crashed through a few trees before she stopped herself.
"Well, that was a surprise." Athena said before she snapped her fingers, summoning Willow and Emira. "Change of plans. Kill them all."
Willow and Emira went to attack, but Fighter Luz jumped from a tree and slammed her hand on the ground, activating the light glyph. The sudden flash blinded and slightly hurt the vampires, but they wouldn't die... again.
"AAAAAAAH!" Emira and Willow screamed!
"Sorry girls but this is for your own good!" Fighter Luz said before she charged at them, clotheslining them both to the ground!
"Alright, hold them down!" Vampire Luz said, "I'm going to try and get control again!"
Fighter Luz used the plant glyph on her gloves to hold down the vampires. Meanwhile, Phoenix was stopping Athena from getting close... she wasn't doing a good job. Athena was clearly stronger and more powerful than she looked... then there's the giant battle axe she carries. Athena ran at Phoenix and swung her axe at her. Phoenix stepped back to avoid it, which gave Athena the opportunity spin around and slam the base of her axe against Phoenix's stomach. She hunched over and Athena used the broad side of her axe to slap Phoenix across the face. Athena swung her axe again and cut off Phoenix's head.
"I thought you'd put up more of a fight." Athena said, walking past her.
"Really?"
Athena stopped and turned around, seeing Phoenix's body stand up put her head back on her neck, with her body healing it. Phoenix cracked a few joints in her neck before her hair turned white, her eyes turned blue and white, her arms turned blue, and blue fire started to burn on her hair.
"Well…. I honestly did not see that coming." Athena said in a very surprised tone.
"They never do." Phoenix said before blitzing Athena and kicking her in the face, slamming her into the ground! "Being unkillable has its benefits, but it still hurts!"
Athena got up and threw a punch, which Phoenix caught. Phoenix threw a punch of her own and it sent Athena into a tree.
"Now then, do you really want to mess with an Unkillable Fire God?" Phoenix asked, throwing a blue fire ball at Athena.
Athena dodged it and picked up her axe before charging. Phoenix was expecting another swing, but the axe suddenly turned black and she slammed it against Phoenix's side, making a deep cut, but not killing her. Phoenix fell to the ground and felt nothing but pain, that's when she realized it... she wasn't healing.
"Don't worry, you won't die, but your Healing isn't going to save you while I do kill you."
Athena raised her axe and was planning on slamming it onto Phoenix. Phoenix turned into ash just a second before her axe hit, landing in the ground instead. Phoenix reformed behind Athena and grabbed her by the shoulders. She threw her down with incredible speed.
"Heard it before and I'm still standing!" Phoenix shouted as she kicked Athena away!
As they clashed in the forest, Fighter Luz continued to hold Emira and Willow down as Vampire Luz was breaking them free of Athena's control.
"Emira, Willow, this isn't you." Vampire Luz said, "I am your Primus, your queen, you listen to me and me only."
Vampire Luz placed her hands on their heads.
"Break free of this mind control."
Both girls struggled from both the mind control and the call to her command as Primus, it was an internal war that showed as their eyes were flashing between the normal red and pitch black. Vampire Luz tried harder, eventually breaking through.
"L-L-Luz?" Willow asked.
Luz pulled her hands away, seeing Willow and Emira were back to normal as a black and red mist expelled from their bodies.
"W-What happened?" Emira asked.
"¡Mi dulce cría!/My sweet brood!" Luz said as she pulled them up and pulled them into a hug.
"Uh... Luz?" Willow asked, noting that her girlfriend was near.
Vampire Luz realized this as well as she turned around to see Boscha sprinting at her. She got ready to counter, when another blur got between them and held Boscha down. Luz knew that black and red hair anywhere.
"If you think I'm staying near Hooty while you have all the fun, you have another thing coming." Amity said, holding Boscha's head in the dirt with one of Boscha's arms in her hand.
"HSSSSSS!" Boscha hissed as she struggled in Amity's hold before Vampire Luz placed her hands in her head.
"Boscha, it's alright! I'm here, you can stop now. Please." Vampire Luz said, doing the same thing she did with Willow and Emira.
Seeing the situation was handled, Fighter Luz turned and rushed to help Phoenix against Athena. God or not, backup is always helpful. Athena was holding Phoenix against a rock with her Axe, both of them holding the handle of the axe, locked in a brief power struggle.
"Give up, and I'll spare your dimension." Athena said.
"Go... die in a fire!" Phoenix said.
Phoenix raised her hand and was about to blast Athena with fire, but Athena used her dark magic and Phoenix's hands were stuck to the rock. Behind Athena, Fighter Luz punched her in the back of the head... it honestly did more damage to Fighter Luz than Athena. Fighter Luz held her hand and was about to use the Healing Glyph, but she was stopped by Athena, who held her by the neck.
"I'll admit, I'm impressed you tried that." Athena said, holding out her hand, which was glowing black.
She aimed for Fighter Luz's chest, planning on corrupting her heart, which would kill her, when she was grabbed.
"Get your hands off her." Phoenix said, throwing Athena a couple dozen feet away.
Phoenix checked on Fighter Luz as she was healing her hand with the healing glyph.
"You alright?" She asked her.
"I'm fine but I didn't expect her to still be standing. I'm strong enough to knock out most adults if given a shot but she's different." Fighter Luz said as she fixed her hand and activated her power glyph.
"Yeah, there's something about her, she has magic that I've never seen before." Phoenix said.
Fighter Luz got up and the two started moving towards Athena. The dark, masked witch herself was getting up from the ground and rolling her neck.
"Hmm, this is getting interesting. I wonder what else you both can show me?" Athena asked as she held her axe at the ready.
The two ran at Athena, who dodged them with ease. She swung her axe and hit Phoenix in the stomach, before swinging her axe and tossing Phoenix off it and into Fighter Luz.
"I must say, this is the most fun I've had in years." Athena said, raising her axe, "But I can't have you-"
Athena was cut off when it felt like her insides were being ripped apart. She was spun around by Vampire Luz spinning her finger.
"Like it?" Vampire Luz asked, "I don't know why, but Blood Magic just comes natural to me. Want to see what I can do with it?"
Athena looked behind Luz and saw the Vampires.
"It looks... like this... realm... isn't going... to work."
She struggled, but managed to click a button and open a portal. The sudden flash of light hurt the vampires and made Vampire Luz drop her. She went into the portal and it closed.
"I... I think we should get back to the Owl House." Vampire Luz said.
At the Owl House, Boscha was reunited with her mothers.
"Oh Boscha! We're so glad you're alright!" Elizabeth screamed as she and Lilith hugged Boscha tightly.
'This would hurt if I wasn't undead, but I don't care.' Boscha thought as she hugged them back.
Phoenix and Fighter Luz smiled, glad to help a family reunite.
"You should be glad Becky is away right now, she would've gone on a murder spree... and she's the future Emperor, so she could get away with it." Lilith said, "Come on, let's get back to the castle."
"Okay, mama." Boscha said, before turning to the two doppelgangers of Luz, "Thank you."
They left and Phoenix and Fighter looked at each other.
"Well... we need to get going to the next Dimension." Fighter Luz said.
"We do, we need to stop her." Phoenix said.
They pressed their belts and the suits covered them. They pressed the belts again and a new portal opened.
"Let's go." Phoenix said.
The two ran into the portal, with it closing behind them, on their way to the next dimension.
