Summary: The Kure Clan is an assassination clan that has stood by the sword for 1300 years and through selective breeding, have acquired power that make them super human. All members of the clan follow the path of assassination by choice, all but one member that believes life shouldn't be taken, no matter how vile. Though it makes her a bit of an outcast in her family, Luz is still proud of her heritage and vows to make a name for herself as the "Pure Demon," even if it's in another world.

Phoenix and Fighter landed in their next world.
"Okay, it looks like the Boiling Isles."
"That means this is another universe where we end up here." Fighter Luz said as they suits retracted into their belts. "Now we just have to find us."
A loud BOOM was heard as they looked around in shock, wondering what made that loud of a boom!
"Do you think that could be Athena?" Fighter Luz asked.
"Honestly... that could be another Luz." Phoenix said, "We are known for making those. Only difference is I'm the Emperor in my world and can get away with it."
"Yeah, I guess that makes sense." Fighter Luz said before another BOOM was heard. "But let's see if that is a Luz and see just what made her powerful enough to do that."
"Alright." Phoenix said, grabbing Fighter Luz, "Let's go see."
Phoenix flew off to the source of the explosion. Both of them followed the booms as they got louder and a bit more frequent. Within a few minutes, they reached an empty quarry in the forest where a dust cloud was kicking up against a wall.
"Down there!" Fighter Luz said, pointing to the cloud.
Phoenix flew down and landed. The two looked at the cloud. This dimensions Luz walks out... with solid black sclera and white iris eyes.
"Athena got her." Phoenix said as she got on guard.
"That means she must be close." Fighter Luz said in agreement.
"Who? Also, who are you two and why do you look like me?" The Luz asked, confusing them.
'She's not under Athena's control? But then why are her eyes like that?' They both thought.
Their thoughts were disrupted by Athena's axe getting between them.
"So, I see you're still following me." Athena said.
The trio turned to Athena as she summoned her axe back to her hand, her armor was still cracked. Meaning she didn't have any time to repair her armor.
"When you threaten the multiverse, we'll always be on your ass to stop you!" Fighter Luz shouted at her.
"Multiverse? That explains why you two look like me." The black eyed Luz said to them, "So, who's this other person?"
"She's trying to conquer it." Phoenix said, lighting up, "But that's not going to happen."
"Because you two are going to stop me? Keep telling yourselves that." Athena said as she looked towards the new Luz, who immediately gained her interest. "As for you, just by your eyes, I can tell there's something special about you for a human Luz."
"Oh, I'm more than just Human." Kure Luz said.
'More than just human?' Phoenix and Fighter Luz thought in confusion.
"Really? Then why don't you give us all a show? Let's see if you're more than human!" Athena shouted as she charged towards her, her axe ready!
"Fine then." Kure Luz said.
Kure Luz charged at Athena with a challenging glare before she moved to the side as Athena swung her axe!
'Kure Tradition: Hard Slam!' She thought as shoulder slammed Athena, launching her away with surprising power!
Athena got up and looked at Kure Luz.
"Want some more?" Kure Luz asked.
"No, which is why I got my insurance policy." Athena said, motioning for something behind her, "It's amazing what a well-placed axe to the head of a parent will do."
Behind her, the Blight Children were forced forward by a couple Husks.
"Amity!" The three Luz shouted in worry.
"Luz!" Amity shouted, looking towards Kure Luz.
"And Luzs?" Edric and Emira asked in surprise.
"Now, I'm wondering which of these three I should hurt first?"
The three Luz's got ready to attack.
"I don't advise that." Athena said.
"And why's that?" Kure Luz asked.
Athena turned and swung her axe, cutting off Emira's leg.
"Aaaaaaah!" Emira screamed in pain.
"Emira!" Everyone shouted in shock.
"Or else I chop them to pieces one at a time." Athena said as she put her axe on her shoulder, looking to Kure Luz. "Now, why don't you tell me a little about yourself? I'm curious to know what makes you so unique."
"…My name is Luz Kure Noceda." Kure Luz said with a glare.
'Kure?" Phoenix and Fighter thought in confusion.
"Kure? Interesting and what does that entail?" Athena asked
Kure Luz got quiet, until Athena put the edge of her axe against Edric's neck, threatening to decapitate him.
"….The Kure is a branch clan that has lived in Japan and stood by the sword for over 1300 years." Kure Luz continued as she pointed to her eyes. "These eyes are our trademark."
"Stood by the sword?" Athena asked, lowering her axe a bit.
"It means…we're a family of assassins. And through selective breeding and adoption techniques or combat arts, the Kure have attained peak physical performance in regards to strength, speed and durability." Kure Luz said as she look at her arm. "In our blood, we possess over twenty kinds of endorphins and, combined with our abnormal physical resilience. Meaning we can withstand, being smashed into the ground and fatally cut by a blade."
Everyone gasped from this information, not believing that the human world of this universe could have a clan of people like that!
"You're a living weapon, born and raised to be a killing machine. Incredible!" Athena said with awe, slowly smiling under her mask.
"I DON'T kill. No matter what the clan says or how they view me, it's wrong to take a life with or without reason." Kure Luz said with a firm tone. "They may have taught me how to kill but I will never do the deed."
Under her mask, Athena smiled.
'I can use this.'
"Well then, I'm glad to have gotten to know another version of you." Athena said, "But I have to take my toys with me... unless you want the poor girl to bleed out?"
The Luz trio glared at her. The only way that Emira could be saved from blood loss would be if Athena takes her. Getting into a fight would only put the other Blights at risk of dying, but could waste valuable time. Athena knew this and was enjoying it. She kicked Emira's leg away.
"She won't be needing that." Athena said, before snapping her fingers and disappearing in a cloud of black smoke.
"No!" Fighter Luz and Phoenix let out as Athena had gotten away, AGAIN!
Kure Luz was the most upset as she growled in anger, releasing an aura of rage as she gazed at Emira's severed leg.
'This woman took my friends!' She thought as she clenched her fists in rage!
"You two…..can you find her?" Kure Luz asked as she looked to Fighter Luz and Phoenix.
"We have several times, but we need help." Fighter Luz said, "Did this assassin group teach you how to track?"
"Clan, and yes. They did teach us how to track our target." Kure Luz said as she kneeled down and picked up Emira's leg.
"While you do that, I'll check the place out in the sky." Phoenix said.
Phoenix jumped into the air and transformed into her bird from, flying off and leaving Fighter Luz with Kure Luz. Kure Luz went over to where Athena was standing. She touched the ground, looking for something she can track.
"Tell me everything about this woman." Kure Luz said.
Fighter Luz could feel her anger, slowly gulping as some sweat ran down her brow.
"Okay…..so far, all we know is that Athena is a mysterious witch that seeks to conquer the multiverse. So far, she's been targeting versions of us." Fighter Luz said.
"Any idea why?"
Fighter Luz rubbed her chin in thought for a moment.
"Now that I think about it, no. The gods that called us to help didn't explain much about her, maybe something happened in her own universe to make her this way?" She considered as Kure Luz began walking. "Wait, where are you going?"
"Blight Manor for clues." Kure Luz said to her.
Fighter Luz got a little nervous, last time she was near the Blights, she almost got killed.
"Ummm, are you sure?" Fighter Luz asked.
"In order for Athena to have captured them, she must've gone to their house to get them. And if what she said was the truth, she might've killed one of their parents." Kure Luz said to her.
'Well, they kind of are assholes.' Fighter Luz thought.
Putting her with aside, Fighter Luz followed Kure Luz as she lead the way to Blight Manor. Even if they were assholes, Fighter Luz didn't want to think about actually wanting one of them dead. Parents are still parents. They got there and saw the door completely destroyed.
"Damn." Fighter Luz said.
They went in and saw a body on the ground, with a giant axe wound going right through the top of her skull. The single attack hit her brain and killed her.
"Well, it's safe to say that Odalia is dead." Fighter Luz said.
"You know, I never actually met her." Kure Luz said.
"I have... she tried to kill me." Fighter Luz said, "Come on, maybe Alador is okay."
"Okay, don't know who that is either." Kure Luz said as she followed Fighter Luz through the manor.
"Abomination inventor, but kind of slow in the emotions and common sense department." Fighter Luz quickly explained.
Now that she thought about it, with Odalia dead, Alador could grow as a person and as a father. They arrived at a door and opened it, it led down to a lab. They found Alador on the ground, injured but very much alive, just unconscious.
"Uuuh." He let out in pain as Fighter Luz and Kure Luz rushed to him.
"It's alright, Mr. Blight. We've got you." Fighter Luz said as she helped him sit up and used the used her healing glyph on him.
He slowly opened his eyes and looked at them. He recognized Kure Luz, despite not meeting her, her eyes and being a human make her stand out a lot, but the other one, he had no idea about.
"What….is going on? Why am I seeing double?" He asked them, slowly feeling better.
"You were attacked and someone took your kids. This…is from Emira. She's alive but injured." Kure Luz said as she held up her leg.
"What?!" Alador asked in shock, leaning up too fast and groaning in pain. "K-Kids."
"It's okay, we'll get them back." Fighter Luz said.
"And... what of Odalia?" He asked.
Fighter Luz's silence was all he needed to know.
"I….I see." Alador said as he looked down to the ground.
"I'm so sorry, Mr. Blight." Kure Luz said as she put Emira's leg to the side.
"It's…..fine. Our marriage was mostly business but…..she was still my wife and I loved her, even if we didn't show it more as we should've." Alador said as Fighter Luz gently patted his back.
"I can understand that. And don't worry, we'll save Emira, Edric, and Amity. We came here to look for some clues to help." Fighter Luz said to him.
"What happened?" Kure Luz asked.
"I... It all happened so fast." He said, "I heard something moving through the house faster than I was able to process. I barely was able to turn around when they grabbed me and threw me into the wall like I was a ragdoll. I... I saw her walk up to me, and then slam my head into the ground. I blacked out and next thing I know, you're here."
"That means she dealt with you before kidnapping the kids." Fighter Luz said as she finished healing Alador.
"Which means we have to find her before something bad happens to them." Kure Luz said as she looked around for any since that Athena was here.
She found footprints in the spilled Abomination goo.
"She must've gone this way." Kure Luz said.
They followed the steps and they reached Amity's room. The door was kicked open and the room was destroyed.
"Looks like she tried to fight back."
"Amity is a pretty tough girl, it's only natural." Fighter Luz said, remembering her girlfriend from her home dimension.
Kure Luz looked around.
"Athena kicked the door open and swung her axe on the bed, where Amity was. Amity rolled out of the way, which let her avoid getting killed, but completely destroyed the bed."
She pointed to the destroyed bed.
"Amity summoned an Abomination, trying to get a chance to escape, but Athena cut through it and charged her, slamming her into the wall."
Kure Luz pointed to the wall with a massive crack in it and the large amount of Abomination goo on the floor.
"She was knocked out... at this point the twins came in."
She pointed to the footprints in the Abomination goo.
"Athena easily overpowered them with those dark creatures of hers and took them all with her."
Fighter Luz was impressed.
"Wow, you're really good at putting this stuff together."
"It's a part of the clan training but it's mostly for analyzing during battle." Kure Luz said as she looked at the footprints. "And if Athena still has this on her boots, even the smallest bit, we can find a trail."
Nodding to this, Fighter Luz remembers how damaged Athena's armor was before coming here and an idea came to her mind.
"Do you think she's going to try and repair her armor? Before we got here, the Luz of the last universe hit her pretty hard with a magic blast." Fighter Luz said.
"If that's the case, we need to find a place that has the proper materials. I know of three places that could work." Kure Luz said, "Do you have something that broke off her armor? I can use that and narrow it down where she could be."
"Unfortunately, I don't." Fighter Luz said.
"Then we need to split up." Phoenix said, coming in behind them.
"How was your search?" Kure Luz asked her.
"Not good." Phoenix said.
"Well, this Luz might know of three locations Athena could be." Fighter Luz said, pointing at Kure Luz.
"You do?" Phoenix asked in surprise.
"I do." Kure Luz said with a nod.
"Where are they?" Phoenix asked.
"They're on different parts of the Isles. One is a few miles out of Bonesborough, one is near a mine on the Knee, and one is on the on the foot."
"I can get to the knee easily." Phoenix said, "And the cold has no effect on me since I can ligjt myself on fire."
"I'll take the one on the foot." Kure Luz said.
"And I can get you there." Alador said, holding himself up by the door frame, "We have a flying carriage that I can fly you there with."
"Really? Thank you, Mr. Blight." Kure Luz said with surprise.
"Please, call me Alador." He said to her.
"That leaves the place a few miles out of town for me." Fighter Luz said.
"We'll meet up back here after we've checked them out." Phoenix said.
The trio of Luzs nodded to each other as they all went their separate ways to the three areas. Phoenix jumped into the air and changed into her nickname to fly to the Knee, Kure Luz followed Alador to the family flying carriage, and Fighter Luz took off on foot before she used her right hand to make a trail of ice on the ground while used her left hand to make a fire booster to get to outside of Bonesborough faster. No surprise, Phoenix got to her location first. She landed and turned back.
"Alright, it should be nearby."
Phoenix began to walk through the Knee in search of the mine Kure Luz was talking about. With any luck, Athena would be there making repairs to her armor and holding the Blight children hostage. What she found at the mine though... was horrifying. Nailed to the entrance... was Amity's arm.
"Oh... fuck." Phoenix said.
She fought a giant rotting corpse, but there was something about the girl she loved being tortured and having her limb cut off, that made Phoenix want to puke.
'That means, they're not here.' She thought as she moved to take it from the wall. 'That means Athena is either at the foot or a few miles outside of Bonesborough.'
On the foot, Kure Luz arrived. The flight with the flying carriage was only 16 minutes and Alador was able to land then only a mile away from the mine.
"Thank you for the ride, Alador. I should be able to get there by foot, please wait here." Kure Luz said to him.
"I will." He said.
Kure Luz ran to the place that Athena might be, an old store house from the Savage Age, it hasn't been used in almost a hundred years, rumored to be haunted, but it is still as filled as the day it was abandoned. Kure Luz kicked open the door, seeing several things taken from the place.
"She was here recently." Kure Luz said.
She walked over to a box that was knocked over. She opened it and began to gag... Edric's leg was in there, along with a note. She grabbed the note and looked at it.
'Twins should match'- Athena.
Kure Luz crushed the note before taking the leg out of the box.
'If she isn't here and possibly not at the Knee, than she's…' Kure Luz thought as she turned and ran back to Alador. 'She was so close, and we didn't even know it!'
Fighter Luz got to the place she was looking for.
"Alright, let's see if she's here."
'If they're not here, how am I going to find them?' Fighter Luz thought as she approached the mine with her guard up.
She went into the mine, using her glove to make a light spell in order to see. She looked around and saw several things that belong to Athena, but her, and most importantly, the Blights, weren't there.
"Damn."
The light spell was quickly destroyed, and Fighter Luz was knocked to the ground.
"Didn't your mother teach you to knock?" Athena asked.
Fighter Luz was unable to see in the dark and got several hard punches to the ribs. She began to drag herself out.
"Oh, let me help you with that." Athena said.
She dragged Fighter Luz out and tossed her onto the ground. Fighter Luz saw that Athena's armor was fix, but more importantly, it was covered in blood.
"Excuse my appearance, but amputations are a bit messy." Athena said.
"What did you do? What did you do to them?!" Fighter Luz asked, pushing herself to stand up.
"Nothing TOO serious. I just thought since one sibling lost a limb, ALL of them should lose a limb. It's only fair." Athena said as she waved her hand. "Don't worry, they're still alive though. I'm not a monster after all."
"That's debatable." Fighter Luz said.
Fighter Luz ran at her and threw a punch. Athena easily dodged.
"Still trying to use brute force, huh?"
Athena snapped her fingers and Fighter Luz was unable to move. Athena grabbed her by the neck.
"Now listen, I could easily crush your throat if I wanted, but I'm not going to." Athena said, "So, here's what you're going to do. You're going to tell this dimensions Luz and tell her to meet me at the Covention Hall in one hour... or the three Blights die."
"W-Why?" Fighter Luz let out, able to only move her eyes and mouth.
"Because…..I want to see just what this Luz is capable is. Born and raised in a clan of assassins? Selectively breed to be the strongest humanity has to offer? How could I NOT want to see more of what she could do?" Athena asked with glee. "Just the shoulder slam from before held so much power for a 14 year old girl. I want to see what she's like when she get serious, DEADLY serious."
Athena let go of her throat and moved away from Fighter Luz, creating a black metal pocket watch to putting it in her hand.
"One hour, Covention hall, on the dot. Please don't keep me waiting." Athena said before she disappeared in a plume of black smoke.
When she was gone, Fighter Luz was able to move again and stumbled before standing straight.
"I guess there's no choice." She said, "I have to let her know, there are lives on the line."
Fighter Luz quickly jumped back in the ice trail she made and used her fire boosters to quickly glide back to Blight manor! She didn't have any time to lose, and she hoped Phoenix and Kure Luz are on the way as well! When she got there, she saw the others.
"Well, I have some news." Fighter Luz said, walking up to Kure Luz, "We have a little under an hour to get to the Covention Hall. She wants to fight you and if you don't show, she'll kill Emira, Edric, and Amity."
"What?!" They said in shock as Fighter Luz showed them the pocket watch as proof.
"Then we don't have much time to lose! Let's go!" Kure Luz said with a glare.
They all ran to the Covention Hall, finding the entire place dark, with the exception of the entry way to the arena. They walked in and looked at the stage. They saw the three Blight Children, Emira and Edric missing a leg and Amity missing an arm.
"Welcome!" Athena said, walking onto the stage and looking at the top of the stands to the three Luz's, "I'm so glad you made it, I really didn't want to behead them, I would've hated having to leave that for the janitor."
"Kids!" Alador shouted, rushing to the stage before a husk appeared in front of him.
"Ah Ah Ah, no one enters the ring EXCEPT her." Athena said as she pointed to Kure Luz.
"You want to fight?" Kure Luz asked, jumping off the stands and in the arena, "Bring it on then."
Athena smiled under her mask as she summoned her axe but stabbed it in the stand next to the Blight siblings.
"Let's see what you can do with an even playing field." Athena said before jumping into the arena a few before Kure Luz. "The bell has been RUNG."
Both of them assumed a battle stance and slowly moved towards each other, their hands up before them. A few steps forward before their hands tapped! Phoenix looked at the two in the arena, before whispering to Fighter and Alador.
"We need to free them, if we do then she doesn't have her bargaining chip."
In the Arena, the two were already in full combat. Athena has proven that she is just as skilled in hand to hand as she is in magic. Kure Luz dodged and blocked her attacks before she ducked under Athena and got behind her.
'Kure Family Tradition: Silhouette!' She thought as Athena tried to turn around to her, but she mimicked her movements perfectly, like she was her shadow!
Before long, Kure Luz ducked down and swept Athena off her feet then kicked her in the back to send her tumbling across the ground!
"Give up!" Kure Luz said.
"No." Athena said, using magic and tying Kure Luz's legs with a tendril, "I'm just getting started."
Athena pulled and swung Kure Luz into the air, making swing around and slam into the wall! She was strong enough to endure it, but she didn't want to experience it anymore as she was pulled into the air again before she sliced through the tendril with her bare hand! Kure Luz landed in the edge of the stands before jumping back towards Athena's with a Superman punch! Athena put her arms up to block, which did enough to prevent her from getting knocked back. She was forced to put her arms back, which allowed Kure Luz to start delivering powerful strikes to her armor. While the armor blocked most of the strikes, it was beginning to take their toll on Athena. Athena headbutted her, the metal helmet making Kure Luz stumble back. On the stage, a small amount of Abomination goo feel in front of Amity. She looked up and saw Alador emptying a small canister of it. He motioned his head towards the twins handcuff. Amity understood what to do and nodded. She used her only arm and made a spell circle. The Abomination goo moved towards the locks and into them. The sound of clicking could be heard and Emira's cuffs were unlocked. Emira realized this and took off the gag. She pulled out a hair pin and began to unlock Amity's cuffs, while Amity used the goo to unlock Edric's. In the arena, Athena held Kure Luz up by her neck.
"I have to say, you're good." She held out her hand and her axe flew to her, "But I'm better."
'Like hell you are! Kure Family Tradition: Avidyā!' Kure Luz thought as she quickly clawed at Athena's eyes through her helmet!
"AAAH!" Athena screamed in pain, even if the helmet too much of the attack, it still hurt!
'Buddha Killer!' Kure Luz thought as she used her arm up to elbow uppercut her!
Athena landed on the ground and saw Kure Luz aiming for another strike but she rolled out of the way. She grabbed her axe and held it up, intercepting the strike. Athena kicked Kure Luz off and got up, she was about to attack when she attacked from behind. Athena turned around and saw Fighter Luz and Phoenix, while behind them, Alador was blocking his children on the stage. He would die to protect them, even if he never showed it before, and he's upset that it took him this long to be a father, a true father.
"Well, it seems you all have cheated." Athena said to them.
"Like you have any right to call us "cheaters!"" Fighter shouted at her.
"Maybe but you still cheating and cheating has consequences." Athena said as she dropped her axe, making it vanish in a small portal!
Everyone was on guard because of them before the sound of flesh tearing was heard!
"Guh!" Amity grunted, blood pooling in her mouth as she was stabbed from being through the chest.
"AMITY!" Everyone shouted but Kure Luz and Phoenix said in shock!
Kure Luz looked shocked and frozen until Athena's chuckles pull her out of it.
"You should've played fair."
Something inside Kure Luz snaps and she releases a killer aura directly at Athena.
"You know, there's one more thing I forgot to tell you about the Kure Clan. We have a special technique that only we can perform, a technique that shuts off all limits and unleashes our latent potential." Kure Luz said as she stared coldly at Athena. "Do you want to know what it is?"
She didn't wait for an answer as she growled, and her skin began to turn a dark shade of red-violet and her blood vessels bulging on the surface of her body. The pressure she was giving off made the room seem like it was shaking as everyone watched Kure Luz become…a monster.
"Removal, 75%." She said with a growl.
As Kure Luz went to attack, Phoenix immediately ran towards Amity and put her hands on her. She activated her powers and the red on her arms moved onto Amity, but they faded. Athena did something that was preventing her from healing Amity!
"No... no no no!" Phoenix said, "Fighter, get over here!"
Fighter Luz got on her knees next to Amity and checked her pulse.
"Phoenix, she's fading fast." Fighter said.
"I know, my powers aren't able to heal her for some reason!" Phoenix said, "But... if we combine our healing, maybe we can save her."
Fighter Luz activated the Healing Glyph and Phoenix activated her powers again. They both both their hands on her chest.
"On three." Phoenix said.
With Athena and Kure Luz, Athena had no idea what to say about this, it was unlike anything she's ever seen. The strikes were faster, more savage, and aiming at all the vital areas that her armor couldn't protect! Athena was forced on guard as she was hit in the face, stomach, left leg, right shoulder!
'She's even more of a monster than I thought!' Athena thought as Kure Luz threw her to the ground and kicked her into the air!
Kure Luz jumped with a spin!
'Heaven-Shaking Supreme Fang!' She thought as she slammed her elbow into the back of Athena's neck, sending her crashing to the ground!
Athena was almost rendered unconscious, but the crash managed to knock her back awake! Kure Luz grabbed Athena's axe and raised it over her head, fully intending to kill her. She swung the axe at her but was stopped when someone got in the way.
"Stop!" Amity said.
Kure Luz let out a gasp as she saw Amity was alive, the blood in her clothes was burned away with a visible scar shown through her torn shirt. Kure Luz threw the axe away and slowly regressed out of Removal as she looked over Amity.
"H-How?" Kure Luz asked.
"We healed her." Phoenix said, "We aren't going to let anyone die as long as we're alive."
"Couldn't get her arm back though." Fighter Luz said.
Athena began to get up and held her hand out. The axe flew into her hand, and she looked at the group. It was clear that she wasn't going to succeed in this one.
"You're getting off lucky." Athena said, opening a portal.
She went through and Phoenix and Fighter Luz put on their suits and opened their own portal as Athena's closed. They ran into their portal and went to their next dimension.
