Summary: After just one mistake, Luz is kick out and shunned by everyone she held dear. Feeling she no longer had a place, she left the owl house and went off on her own before discovering an underground combat organization called "Inferno." If there was any place she could belong, it was in a place where Luz could fight to create a new life.
Skills/Powers: Street fighting, master of wooden/metal bat, strong enough to break stone, fast as a cheetah (70 mph), adaptive in combat.

The duo looked around and saw they were now in a forest, a long ways from Bonesborough strangely.
"What the hell? Why are we around here?" Fighter Luz asked.
"This universe version of us must be here." Phoenix said to her, looking around for her.
"Maybe we'll run into Eda and she knows."
The duo began navigating through the forest, trying to find the direction of owl house at least, before they heard the sound of blunt hitting something else.
"You hear that?" Fighter Luz asked her.
"Yeah, I heard it." Phoenix said with a nod before moving towards the sound on her left. "It's coming from over here."
"Sounds like a bat." Fighter said.
The duo continued to follow the noise before as it became more consistent before reaching a clearing to see someone standing in the middle with a tree in front of them.
"Well, that looks like us." Fighter said.
"Yeah, with a lot of pent-up anger." Phoenix said.
Looking before them, the Luz Noceda of this universe appeared to be 16 years old and angrily bashing a wooden bat against the tree constantly. She was wearing a black tank top, a gray overcast with a hood, blue jeans, and black high tops. She also had biker gloves in her hands with metal studs on the knuckles.
'Wow, she has some anger issues.' Phoenix thought.
The two kept watch over this Luz until she stopped, breathing heavily and wiping sweat from her forehead before she put the bat in her shoulder.
"That's enough for one day." She said before turning to leave the clearing.
"Oh, I don't think it is." Athena said.
This Luz quickly ducked as Athena swung at her, pulling out her bat and swinging as Athena blocked with her arm!
"Ooh, that stings a bit. So you have combat experience?" Athena asked, interested in this version of Luz. "Impressive."
"You ain't seen nothing yet!" She replied, growling at Athena.
"Good, show me what you can do." Athena said.
Athena pushed her back and pulled her axe out, swinging at this Luz as she swung her bat to deflect the blade by hitting the sides! Athena pulled her axe back and let out a hum of approval.
"Impressive." Athena said before dropping her axe, letting it fade away into her shadow. "Let's see what you can do in hand to hand.
Athena charged at her and kicked, making Angry Luz lean to dodge before swinging again but Athena knocked the bat from her hands!
"I said hand to hand." Athena said, before punching her in the stomach, "Show me what you got."
Angry Luz growled before punching her back in the face!
"How's that?!" She screamed with a glare.
She didn't stop as she continued to fight, forcing Athena to fight back as she blocked and punched back.
'Hm, she has an anger in her, her joy is gone.' Athena thought, 'I can use that.'
Athena blocked and kicked her in the stomach before grabbing her by the jacket and pulling her closer.
"You're pretty good but why so angry? Did you and your little girlfriend get into a little spat?" Athena asked, mocking this Luz.
Luz growled and ran at her, trying to throw a punch, but Athena dodged it. Athena threw her own punch to Luz's side, and then to her jaw, then grabbed her by the shirt collar and pulled her close, delivering a strong knee to the stomach and a headbutt. The headbutt knocked Luz to the ground and made her start bleeding.
"Never try and fight someone with a metal helmet."
Angry Luz spat out some blood before throwing dirt in Athena's eye holes and kicking her in the crotch!
"OH!" She groaned before falling to her knees!
"And you should know armor should always have a cod piece!" Angry Luz said before kicking Athena to the ground!
Fighter Luz and Phoenix, who were watching from the side, winced and chuckled from the low blow to their enemy.
Angry Luz was about to throw a punch when Athena beat her too it and punched her, except this managed to go through her, into her side.
"Here's a lesson for you." Athena said, "Never mess with someone that can punch through you."
Athena, with her hand inside Angry Luz's side. She grabbed a rib and broke it.
"Aaaaaaah! FUCK!" Angry Luz shouted before she tried to pull away but Athena kept a firm grip.
"Ah Ah Ah, if you pull away I might just RIP your ribs out." Athena teased it.
"Okay, I think it's time we step in!" Fighter Luz said.
"Yeah, what gave you that idea?" Phoenix asked, lighting up, "I go high, you go low."
Phoenix flew up and Fighter charged.
Angry Luz continued to groan while trying to pull Athena's hand from her side before she noticed Fighter and Phoenix coming towards them.
'Oh god, am I hallucinating from the pain?!' Angry Luz thought before Athena pulled her hand out, covered in blood!
Athena was hit by a punch from Phoenix and then from a jumping kick from Fighter.
"Phoenix, heal her!" Fighter Luz shouted to her as she went to fight Athena.
"Got it!" Phoenix said as she went to Angry Luz and held her up, holding fire over the hole in her side!
"What the hell are you-" Angry Luz shouted before she felt a warm feeling on her side, being healed by Phoenix. "Oooooh, that feels good."
"Yeah, try not to talk, that's going to make this take longer."
"Not sorry." Angry Luz said as she watched Fighter Luz fighting Athena with more skill than her.
Every strike that Athena had, Fighter Luz had a counter for it.
'Damn, she's pretty good.' Angry Luz thought.
Athena swung her axe at Fighter Luz, who dodged it with ease and kicked it into the air. Fighter Luz jumped up and used her powerful leg to kick the weapon back at her.
"Ugh!" Athena grunted in annoyance! "Annoying human!"
"Fuck yeah, I'm human!" Fighter Luz shouted as she used her gloves to made plant whips and lashed at Athena.
Athena caught the vines and pulled Fighter Luz to her. Fighter Luz flipped and axed kicked as Athena blocked, before flinging her back!
"How's it coming?!" Fighter Luz asked as she flipped and landed. "Cuz I can't hold her off forever!"
"I'm working on it!"
"Work faster!" Fighter Luz shouted before dodging a kick and blocking another!
"Focus on me!" Athena shouted as she continued to kick, driving Fighter Luz back!
"Fine." Fighter Luz said.
She covered her fists in ice with her ice glyphs and ran at Athena. As she continued to fight, Phoenix had managed to fix Angry Luz and seal the hole in her skin but there was a scar.
"There. You're all fixed up but your bone might need some help healing a bit more." Phoenix said to her.
"Thanks, I guess. But first, explain who the hell are you and who is that." Angry Luz said as she pointed to Athena.
"It's a long story." Phoenix said, "All you need to know is that the woman in the mask with the axe is dangerous and needs to be stopped."
"And what does that have to do with me?" Angry Luz asked as she stood up, and asking to her bat.
"Because we've been traveling the multiverse and Athena has been targeting every Luz she could find, and her loved ones." Phoenix said to her.
"Oh, we'll okay but jokes on her, I have no loved ones." Angry Luz said as she picked up her bat.
'No loved ones?' Phoenix thought.
Before she could ask what she meant, Angry Luz ran towards the battle. Athena had knocked Fighter Luz away before Angry Luz bashed her in the face with her bat!
"That is for breaking my rib!" Angry Luz shouted at her before bashed her shoulder. "And that's for being a bitch!"
"And this-"
She raised her bat, but Athena held out a hand and used magic to choke her.
"And this is called "shadow choking." I could kill you right here and now if you don't stop-" Athena was cut off by Phoenix punched her away!
Angry Luz was released and fell to the ground while coughing a bit.
"It's moments like these I hate magic." She mumbled as Phoenix and Fighter Luz helped her up.
"You may want to get out of here."
"Why should I? I can take her!" Angry Luz said.
"Because, she's stronger than anything you could ever take."
"You don't know WHAT I've faced!" Angry Luz shouted at them as Athena got up.
"We don't care what you've face, you haven't faced Athena, now run!" Fighter Luz shouted to her.
The two alternate dimension Luz's grabbed Angry Luz's wrists and started running.
"Hey!" Angry Luz shouted!
"You'll thank us later!" Fighter Luz said as she threw fired behind them, giving cover for escape.
After they were a good distance away, they stopped. Fighter and Phoenix let out breathes of relief as they left Angry Luz go, who moves away and rolled her shoulders due to them dragging her along for about 1 mile.
"Okay, now can one of you look alikes FULLY explain what in god's asshole is going on?" Angry Luz said as she turned to them.
"Damn, you are filled with anger." Phoenix said, "We should call you Angry Luz."
"And I'll call you hot head. Now explain." Angry Luz said.
"Okay, just calm down. Here's the rundown. The multiverse is in danger because Athena is trying to conquer it and she's trying to kill all the Luzs in the multiverse to do it. Apparently, we're a threat to here." Fighter Luz explained.
"And she'll use anyone close to us and any means to do it." Phoenix said as she recalled what Angry Luz said before. "By the way, what did you mean from before? You said you don't have any loved ones."
"Yeah, I don't, and if you try and pry, I'll pry your head of your neck." Angry Luz said.
Phoenix Luz scoffed at this.
"Please, I've been through worse." Phoenix said.
"And why are you so angry, anyway?" Fighter Luz asked.
"If you knew what I had to deal with, you would understand." Angry Luz said, "You don't know what it's like for one mistake to cost you everything."
"One mistake?" Fighter Luz and Phoenix said, surprised.
"One mistake that cost me EVERYTHING and EVERYONE I though cared about me. But I guess I was wrong." Angry Luz said before turning to leave. "So that bitch can go after anyone because I don't give a shit anymore. I have my own life to live now."
"And what sort of life is that? Sounds pretty sad if you ask me." Fighter Luz said to her.
"I never asked for your opinion." Angry Luz said.
"Still, if Athena goes after them, you should still protect them." Phoenix said to her.
"Fuck that, like I said, I have my own life to live and I have plans tonight." Angry Luz said as she continued to leave before Fighter Luz moved in front of her.
"What the hell is more important than protecting Eda, King, Amity, Willow, Gus, and everyone else?" She demanded with a glare, one that Angry Luz returned.
"Not that it's any of YOUR business, but I have a match to fight in and win for rent money. Now if you don't mind." Angry Luz said, shoving them out of her way, "I'm going back to my rat hole of an apartment."
"You can't do this. Is a fight really more important than your friends lives?!" Phoenix asked, outraged.
"It is when you're in an underground fight club and you beg about 3,000 snails in yourself." Angry Luz said with a small smirk. "I'm known as the rising star of Inferno, you can't beat that. Besides... friends are just a waste of time."
Angry Luz walked off.
"This girl has some serious problems." Phoenix said.
"Yeah, but still, we need to find and protect everyone before Athena tries something. Just because this angry gladiator version of doesn't care, doesn't mean they deserve to die." Fighter Luz said.
"I know." Phoenix said, "So... where do we start?"
Fighter Luz looked around before looking back to where Angry Luz walked off to.
"Either you fly high up to give us an idea where Bonesborough could be or we follow Ms. Temper Tantrum in hopes she's heading to a town of some kind." Fighter Luz said.
"I don't really think I want to be near her honestly, she seems a bit... much." Phoenix said, lighting up and grabbing Fighter's wrist, "Hang on."
Phoenix flew into the air and they looked around.
"Okay... I have no idea where we are." Phoenix said.
Fighter Luz groaned as she spotted Angry Luz trekking through the woods, seemingly knowing where she was going.
"Then we have no choice but to follow the angry bird." Fighter Luz joked.
"Yeah, let's try and be quiet about it, I don't want to see how angry she can get."
Phoenix flew them back to the ground and they moved to follow the angry teenager. Fighter Luz would've used an invisibility glyph to make this easier, but she had no sticky notes or a pencil to draw on right now. And Phoenix... well, she doesn't really use glyphs that much, let alone knows about the invisibility glyph. So, they just had to keep quiet and follow her from a distance without making too much noise. As they did that, Athena was planning her next move. Unlike them, she had managed to find Bonesborough and hid out on top of the library without knowing that Angry Luz didn't live in town anymore.
"Now, how to go about this." Athena wondered, "I doubt she'd care about any of her little friends getting hurt, but maybe I can capture her."
'But where to find her and how would I capture her?' Athena thought as she looked over the edge of the roof, gazing over Bonesborough.
A stray flyer hit the roof. Athena grew curious of this and moved to pick it up, looking it over.
"Hmm, what do we have here?" She asked.
Under her mask she smiled.
"Inferno, huh?" Athena said, "Well, now I know where she is, maybe I'll check out the fights, see just how good she is."
Athena looked over the flyer and saw the location of inferno was location at the skull? Interesting.
'This is a more unique universe.' Athena thought as she looked to the skull. 'Sacred ground converted into a fighting arena, I'm jealous.'
'Well, better get ready.' She thought, 'After all, don't want to miss the main event.'
Athena vanished into a shadow portal and left the flyer on the roof, a plan forming in her mind to finally KILL a version of Luz and make her stay dead. Meanwhile, Phoenix and Fighter finally found a town. One that seemed rather close to the skull of the Titan but remote, like it was almost hidden from the rest of Bonesborough.
"Yep, she's definitely here."
"And we just need to find where she lives." Phoenix said as they continued following Angry Luz. "We need to keep an eye on her in case Athena tries something."
"Does that trench coat of yours have a hood?" Fighter asked, "I don't want to attract attention."
"No, but I can find a cloak."
The duo looked around before they saw a shopkeeper at his stand, selling clothes.
"Stay here, keep an eye on Angry and I'll be back with a cloak." Fighter Luz said as she quickly put her hood up and walked to the stand. "How much for a cloak?"
"25 snails." The shopkeeper said, not even looking up from his scroll.
Fighter gave him money and took the cloak. She came back to Phoenix and gave it to her, getting thanks, before they continued after Angry Luz and arriving at her apartment complex.
'Damn and I thought the owl house looked like a dump on the inside.' They both thought as they saw Angry Luz used a key for the front door.
"Anyway to follow her in?" Phoenix asked.
"Besides you melting the lock?" Fighter Luz asked before seeing a wrapper on the ground, quickly picking it up. "I also know the perfect glyph to help."
"Great." Phoenix said.
"I need you to make a small flame, not enough to burn through but to scorch the paper a bit." Fighter Luz said.
"Okay." Phoenix said as she held up her finger and made the specified flame. "Now what?"
"Now, I'll teach you how to draw the invisibility combo glyph." Fighter said as she grabbed her hand.
"Invisibility?" Phoenix said in surprise, not knowing that glyph before.
"Yeah, it goes like this." Fighter Luz said as she guided Phoenix's finger on the wrapper to burn the ice and light combo into it. "As long as you hold your breath, no one can see you. Got it?"
"Got it."
Fighter Luz finished them, taking a deep breath with Phoenix and grabbing her shoulder before activating it. The duo vanished into thin and walked to the apartment building.
'Oh my god, it worked!' Phoenix thought in awe, amazed and jealous of Fighter Luz for this glyph.
They quietly followed Angry Luz, who entered her apartment and went to her fridge. She grabbed an alcoholic drink and used the counter to pop the top off.
"I need some apple blood after running into that bitch." Angry Luz said as she took a sip and went to sit on her couch. "Now I can rest for a few hours before heading to Inferno."
"Got another one of those?" Fighter asked, as she and Phoenix leaned against the door frame.
"AAAH!" Angry Luz screamed in surprise at them. "How the fuck-"
"Invisibility glyph combo." Fighter Luz said, holding up the glyph before it burned away. "Am I the only one that knows glyph combos?"
"Why are you here?" Angry Luz said.
"To protect you. Athena still may try something." Fighter Luz said.
"I don't need to be protected!" Angry Luz said.
"Yeah, what you need is therapy." Phoenix said.
"Shut up!" Angry Luz said as she took a sip of had apple blood and got up. "Why the hell can't you just leave me be?"
"Because you're in danger." Fighter said.
"I don't give a damn." Angry Luz said.
"Yes you do. You may act like you don't care about anyone but yourself but we know, DEEP DOWN, there's a good person." Phoenix said as she poked Angry Luz's chest.
"And how would you know? Just because you're me?" Angry Luz said as she pushed her hand away, taking another sip of Apple Blood.
"Exactly. All that anger and selfishness, it's just a defense mechanism but you can't rely on that forever." Fighter Luz said.
"Says you." Angry Luz said, "I bet you have everyone you need to help you with whatever you need. I don't, it's just me, no one else. Friends are pointless."
"Friends are NOT pointless." They both said to her.
"And just because….just because they left you for whatever reason, they might've been wrong and want to make things right." Fighter Luz said to her. "They could be looking for you right now."
"I doubt it." Angry Luz said, "They abandoned me, threw me out, they don't want anything to do with me."
"That is not true and even if it was, that's no reason to not make new friends." Phoenix said to her.
"Not around here." Angry Luz said as she picked a remote and turned on her crystal ball. "You sound like that pony show from Earth."
"You just don't care about anything, do you?" Fighter asked, "You could be killed."
"Welcome to being abandoned in the Demon Realm, it's kill or be killed, and I'm completely fine with either." Angry Luz said, "Now get the hell out of my apartment or I'll throw you out."
Instead of replying, Phoenix turned her flames blue without burning her cloak and Fighter Luz created two ice gauntlets before she slammed them together.
"Try it." They said.
Angry Luz groaned before turning back to the crystal ball.
"Fine. Stay. Just don't get in my way when I head to Inferno." She said.
"You need to take this seriously." Fighter said.
"I am taking this seriously. I trained all day at that spot and now I need a resting period before my match at Inferno. I've got snails bet on me and a chance to move up the ranks." Angry Luz said.
"Match? A fightIng match is-" Phoenix said before pausing, thinking for a moment. "Sounds like the perfect spot to strike."
"You don't think Athena would... who am I kidding, of course she would." Fighter said.
"I'll take her on and whip the floor with her ass. She got the jump on me before but I'm gonna be ready for her." Angry Luz said.
"There is no being ready for her." Fighter said, "I'm also a fighter, and I know that you're being very cocky and egotistical. You think you can't be stopped, that you're untouchable... but I know you're using that to hide your fear. You can't move past whatever happened to you and you think that beating people half to death with make up for it."
Phoenix looked worried at this, gazing towards Fighter Luz as she clenched her fists tightly. All the trauma she's experienced on the journey, the void and getting her leg severely broken, has taken its role on her mental welfare.
"You think I don't know that? Bringing in matches that put your life at risk everyday just to get the money I need taught me that a long time ago! I don't need another version of myself telling me this shit!" Angry Luz said as she stood up.
"Obviously you do since you think you're hot shit!" Fighter Luz shouted in her face.
Angry Luz threw a punch, which Fighter easily caught.
"You've got power but no skill in using it. You can swing you fists around but you've got no chance if you can't use it right." Fighter Luz said before kicking Angry's Luz feet out and holding her to the ground with her leg.
"Jesus what is your leg made of?" Angry Luz asked.
"Just be glad I didn't use the other one."
"Look, just trust us. Athena is NOT someone to take lightly." Phoenix said as she walked over and looked down to her.
"She has fought against some of the toughest people in the MULTIVERSE and has almost killed them."
"And if you want even a CHANCE at surviving against her, you will listen to us!" Fighter Luz shouted to her.
"I don't need you!" Angry Luz said.
"Too bad! You're stuck with us until Athena's armored ass is outta this universe! So, you're gonna take our advice and our help until this Inferno match of yours! Got it?!" Fighter Luz shouted as she raised her other leg, stomping next to Angry Luz's head!
The ground cracked from the impact. Angry Luz gasped at bit, looking shocked at force behind the stomp.
'What the hell?' She thought, gulping nervously.
"Athena completely shattered every bone in my leg, and I had to get it replaced." Fighter Luz said, "If you think you can really beat her yourself, you're wrong."
"….So how do I beat her?" Angry Luz asked.
"With help." Phoenix said.
Fighter Luz moved her foot away and helped Angry Luz to her feet.
"Now, sit down and listen. Here's what you need to know about Athena is she tries anything." Fighter Luz said as she and Phoenix began explaining everything they knew about Athena.
Her spells, her weapons, her minions, and her underhanded tactics.
"Well, there's no emotional ties she can use against me." Angry Luz said, "I don't care if those bastards die."
"Even if she doesn't used your "old" friends, she could still brainwash someone to attack you. Maybe even whoever you face tonight." Phoenix theorized.
"Please, the person I'm facing tonight is new, barely capable of throwing a punch."
"Even a novice fighter can become a deadly monster under her control. She could make them stronger, faster, or even immune to pain." Phoenix said to her.
"We've even Athena turn two people into monsters." Fighter Luz said.
"I'm not worried."
"You've never seen them." Phoenix said before pointing to Angry Luz. "And cut the cocky stuff, or do I need to show you my Phoenix form to shut you up?"
"I don't give a damn."
Fighter Luz slapped her, making Angry Luz groan as she turned to her.
"What did we say about being cocky?" Fighter Luz asked with a glare.
Angry Luz glared at her. This was not how she wanted this day to go. For the next couple of hours, Fighter Luz and Phoenix "coached" her on all she needed to know and what she needed to do against Athena. Even teaching her some new moves via unwilling sparring with Fighter Luz. Soon, it was time for the fight. Against her better wishes, Angry Luz lead her two copies all the way to Inferno at the Skull of the Titan.
"Just stay out of sight and watch for her." Angry Luz said, "I don't need anything messing this match up."
"We won't step in unless Athena shows up." Fighter Luz said as they were lead into the skull. "So, where exactly IS this underground fighting arena?"
"Underground, literally." Angry Luz said as she lead them to a certain pillar, dragging her hand to draw the skull of the Titan on it. "I found it by accident after catching a ride to the town close by."
A secret passage opened and they entered it. A little behind them, Athena watched.
'Hmm, I wonder if this exists in other universes.' Athena thought as she slipping into the shadows and followed after them.
The group, that didn't know Athena was there with them, waiting as they descended down a magic elevator of sorts as they heard the sound of cheering.
"What the hell?" Fighter Luz asked, hearing the noise.
"Don't worry, it's just the crowd. You'd be surprised how many people around the Isles come to see this, some richer than others." Angry Luz said with her bat on her shoulder, "Here's my stop."
The elevator halted before opening, revealing a type of locker room for fighters to get ready before their fights.
"See you later."
Angry Luz went in as she slapped the button to take them to the audience level.
"I don't like her." Phoenix said.
"I figured as much. I don't like that much either but I still see a bit of myself in her before I came to the Boiling Isles. Alone, angry, and thinking more with fighting." Fighter Luz said as she crossed her arms. "I actually feel sorry for her. I still have hope that her friends in this universe realized their mistakes and are still looking for her."
"We don't even know what happened." Phoenix said, "Who's to say they didn't use her and then kick her out when she wasn't useful anymore?"
"Do you hear yourself? Do you honestly believe that?" Fighter Luz asked.
"No, but the multiverse is a crazy place. Who knows what some version of ourselves would experience?" Phoenix replied, "I mean, we saw a version of us that can turn into a giant bat, a version that is covered in burn scars, and a version of us that's a vampire."
"Okay, I won't deny those are crazy universe but still, our friends were loyal through and through. I don't think that will ever change." Fighter Luz said as the elevator arrived at the audience area, opening it show a GIANT section that circles a circular strong arena floor in the center!
"Ever fight in a place like this?" Phoenix asked.
"Nope….but I wish I did." Fighter Luz said with wide eyes.
The duo walked out of the elevator as it shut closed, leaving Athena to reform herself.
"My, what a crowd." She said with a smirk before gazing down. "This is going to be even better with an audience watching.
She sunk into the shadows and located Angry Luz's opponent. They weren't that intimidating, this would be a minute long match if Angry Luz was as good as she says she is.
'Well, I can't wait to watch.' Athena thought.
With a little snap of her fingers, Athena bestowed Angry Luz's opponent with a few gifts like enhanced durability, speed, and a LITTLE mind control to KILL Angry Luz.
'This will be fun.'
Athena disappeared and reappeared in the far back of the crowd to watch as the announcer walked onto the arena.
"Welcome, ladies and demon, to Inferno!"
The crowd cheered loudly as the announcer gave a quick run down of the match.
"Tonight's matches will start with a one on one match between one of Inferno's rising stars and a newcomer! Will the star continue to rise or will they fall to the new blood in the ring!" She shouted before gesturing to one side. "Let's give it up for our newcomer for their debut match!"
The crowd gave a small clap.
Coming out from the entrance of one side, an older looking Mattholomule walked out in beige pants, a yellow tank top, and his hair in a ponytail. He had a staff on his back with some hair covering his eyes.
'Mattholomule?!' Both Luzs thought in surprise.
"God I don't like him." Fighter Luz said.
"Tell me about it." Phoenix said, "Detention Room?"
"Detention room."
Both girls immediately knew who to route for as the announcer gestured to the other side of the ring.
"Now give it up for our rising star! A being with absolutely no magic power in her body, but can still go toe to toe with the best! She's lean, she mean, and she's on the scene! Give it up for "The Underdog," Luz Noceda!" she shouted as everyone that was a fan of cheered, seeing Angry Luz coming without her coat and wearing a black tank top with no shoes, socks, or hat and her bat on her shoulder.
"Well, guess we know who the fan favorite is." Fighter Luz said.
"Yep." Phoenix said as Angry Luz and Mattholomule walked to the center on both sides of the announcer.
"Alright, the rules of the match are simple. No Killing, No Sabotage, and No Illegal Enhancement. The ways to win are ring out, submission, and knockout! Are we clear?" She asked them.
Angry Luz nodded.
"Bring it on." Mattholomule said as his eyes quickly flashed black for one moment.
Phoenix and Fighter went stiff.
"You saw that too, right?" Phoenix asked.
"Yep." Fighter Luz said.
"So that means Athena gave him a little boost before this?" Phoenix asked.
"Most likely." Fighter Luz said as she began looking around. "She must be here watching the fight right now."
"And we don't even know what she looks like." Phoenix said, "She could've taken her mask off and be standing within ear shot, and we wouldn't even know."
Fighter Luz growled in anger, knowing she was right as the announcer moved away from Angry Luz and Mattholomule.
"We'll just have to step in and stop big mouth from going to far when he does." She said as Phoenix nodded in agreement.
"Gladiators, at the ready!" The announcer said.
Mattholomule smirked as he pulled his staff out, spinning it in his hand as Angry Luz gripped her bat with both hands.
"Begin!"
Angry Luz charged, faster than Mattholomule and swinging her bat to make him block! She didn't stop swinging as he was being forced back as he continued to block. She swung at him and collided with his jaw.
"Oh! And Luz has already landed a devastating blow to Matt's jaw!" The announcer shouted as Mattholomule was sent rolling before her got back on his feet, growling at Angry Luz.
"That all you got, rookie?" Angry Luz asked.
Matt got up and charged at Angry Luz, who was easily able to dodge any strike. She was just casually dodging with her arms crossed before she tripped him and kicked him to the floor.
"Truly pathetic." Athena said, looking down from the rafters, "Even with the boosts I gave, you fail. Still it is quite enjoyable to see how she fights."
Rough and unrefined but powerful and skilled none the less. She was very adaptive too.
'How long has THIS Luz been here to become down skilled and brutal?' Athena thought as Angry grabbed Mattholomule and mercilessly knees him twice in the chest!
'Ouch, there's a broken rib or two... hmm, maybe I could see what makes her tick.' Athena thought, 'After the fight, I'll strike.'
Mattholomule pushed himself away, powering through the pain and growing angrier as Atehna's magic kicked in more.
"Rah!" He screamed as he broke his staff in two and charged at Angry Luz, swinging as she blocked his attacks with her bat,
'Hmm, he's a bit faster than before.' She thought before deflecting, spinning, and slamming the pummel of her bat into his nose, 'I can do this though.'
Angry Luz then smacked the sticks out of his hands and kicked him to the ground, getting cheers from the crowd as they loved watching Mattholomule getting his ass kicked.
"This is very enjoyable." Phoenix said.
"Yeah, I wanted to kick his ass since he got me tossed in detention just to try and takeover Gus's club." Fighter Luz said.
"Ditto." Phoenix said as Mattholomule got up and charged blindly!
He swung at Angry Luz, making her block with her bat before it BROKE!
"Guh!" Angry Luz let out, shocked.
"What the hell?" Angry Luz asked.
She barely had time to think as she quickly ducked, dodging a kick as she tossed her broken weapon away! She decided to do her normal fallback... punch. Angry Luz began punching Mattholomule, who was getting more injured but keeps fight as he looks to be ignoring the pain?!
'What the hell?!' Angry Luz thought as she dodged two punches, uppercutting him and kicking his stomach!
Mattholomule backhanded her, sending her flying and bouncing off the ground. She picked herself up and got on a knee.
"Damn, what the fuck do you eat?" Angry Luz asked.
"Protein, bitch!" Mattholomule shouted with a wide grin, his eyes flashing black again.
'Wait, what the hell was that?' Angry Luz thought.
Now, if there was one thing Angry Luz knew, is there was no rule against aiming for the eyes. So she decided to throw some mud in his eyes or in this case, blood. Angry Luz brought her fist up and hit the back of her hand, tearing the skin open.
"Eat this!" She shouted and she threw a punch, actually throwing her blood into Mattholomule's eyes!
"Aah!" He shouted, wiping his eye before Angry Luz grabbed his shirt and kicked his feet out.
She threw him over her shoulders and SLAMMED him into the arena back fist! The ref checked on him and called the match, he wasn't getting up anytime soon.
"And that's the match! The winner is Luz Noceda!" She shouted as the crowd cheered for Angry Luz.
Athena smiled and made her move, jumping down with her Axe raised. Nobody would notice until Angry Luz heard the sound of wind cutting. She looked up and moved out of the way as Athena slammed the axe into the arena, shocking everyone! Angry Luz was knocked to the ground and Athena shoved the tip of her axe into Angry Luz's shoulder.
"Oh, I have some big plans for you." Athena said.
"And I don't give a shit! Get your fucking arm e out of my shoulder!" Angry Luz shouted as she kicked up, knocking the weapon up and out of her shoulder!
"That's our cue!" Fighter Luz shouted!
"Yeah." Phoenix said, jumping on the railing and becoming a phoenix.
Everyone in the crowd gasp, not just at Athena but at a giant flaming bird popping out from the crowd and flying to the arena as well! Phoenix flew in and grabbed Athena, grabbing her with her talons and bringing her up before letting her fall to the ground.
"It seems we have one surprise after another! Two new challengers have come into the arena and have begun an unscheduled fight!" The announcer/ref shouted as everyone watched, ignoring Angry Luz as Fighter Luz flew down to help her up.
"Didn't I tell you so?" She said to her "gladiator" self.
"Yeah, yeah! You were right." Angry Luz said to her, "Now kick her ass while I go get my shoulder wrapped."
"That's the plan, now get big mouth out of here too." Fighter Luz said about Mattholomule.
"Really?" Angry Luz asked as Phoenix flew down next to them.
"Yes, really!" They both said, even though it made them sick a little.
Angry Luz grabbed Mattholomule and dragged him out. Back with our heroes, they were battling Athena in the stadium as the other gladiators/audience watched and cheered for them! Fighter managed to get behind Athena and kick her. She went flying forward and Phoenix grabbed her by the neck and slammed her on the ground.
"Oh, you're getting more ruthless." Athena commented with a slight groan.
"Yeah, well, fighting you has really been testing our patience." Fighter said.
"I've already killed a giant undead corpse, I have no quarrels about killing you." Phoenix said
"Hahahaha, I like that." Athena said as her shadow expanded and formed tentacles, grabbing them both by the throats to hold in the air. "You're both becoming more fascinating with every universe we visit."
"God I want to skin this woman." Fighter said.
"I want to do nothing more than reduce her to ash."
Athena rose from the floor and dusted herself off before seeing the rest of the arena.
'Hmm, let's have a little fun and see what else these gladiators can do before I leave.' She thought before snapping her fingers, summoning a large horde of Husks!
"Great, more mindless mother fuckers." Fighter Luz said.
"Attack." Athena said as the husks charged at the crowd, causing patrons to scream as they ran for their lives while Gladiators jumped in to fight!
Fighter Luz used her gloves to make an ice blade to cut them free from the tentacles.
Phoenix fired at a husk, while Fighter was delivering strong punches to another.
"A Battle royale between gladiators and husks? This is surprisingly cool!" Fighter Luz shouted as she dodged and grabbed one before slamming it into the ground.
"Yeah but where is Athena?!" Phoenix asked as she sliced a husk in half with a flaming hand.
Athena managed to sneak away, and was following Angry Luz.
She saw she had entered an infirmary with her shoulder already patched up and Mattholomule being thrown on a bed.
"Take a few of these tonight and tomorrow and that hole in your shoulder will be patched up in no time." The doctor said as he gave Angry Luz some pills, which she immediately eats.
"Thanks doc." Angry Luz said.
"Well, this is a cozy little spot, isn't it?" Athena said.
"Aaah! Who are you?!" The doctor asked in surprise as Angry Luz groaned.
"Someone that's a real pain in the ass." Angry Luz said as she pushed the doctor away. "Take cover, doc. This may get ugly."
The doctor nodded and ran away quickly as Athena turned to Angry Luz.
"Oh, I have something big planned for you." Athena said with narrowed eyes.
"Not interested." Angry Luz said as she put her fists up again.
"Oh, you think you have a choice?" Athena asked her.
Athena held out a hand and it began glowing black.
'I do not like the looks of that.' Angry Luz thought as she began shuffling back a bit.
"Don't worry, this will only hurt for a moment." Athena said to her.
"HUZZAH!" A new voice shouted before a red blur tackled Athena away from the doorway!
"What the hell?" Athena said before she was then thrown into a wall!
The one that slammed into her stood before her, a large four armed female with red skin, gold eyes, and wearing gold and black armor.
"The Red Queen?!" Angry Luz commented in shock.
"Just another victim." Athena said softly, pulling out of the wall.
"The only victim will be you for defiling Inferno!" The Red Queen said as she slammed her four fists together. "And I, Looma Red Wind, shall be your punisher!"
Athena raised her axe.
"Then come on." She said, ready to fight.
Looma charged at Athena as she swung her axe, deflecting off her skin?! This surprised Athena before Looma grabbed her by the face and slammed her into the floor!
"Such a blade will never pierce my skin!" Looma shouted with a smirk.
"Then maybe I'll take you out from the inside."
Athena made a cloud of shadows come from her hands and began to travel into Looma's throat.
"Looma!" Angry Luz said in shock before Looma reeled her head back along with her arms.
She slammed them all in her diaphragm, forcing herself to push all of the air out of her body along with the smoke!
"Guh!" She let out before taking a deep breath and clapping her hands, sending Athena back with a shock wave!
'I won't be able to fight her. In order to achieve my goal, I need to think and fight smarter, not harder.' Athena thought.
Looma charged at Athena, forcing her on the defense as she blocked and dodged her attacks while being forced further away from Angry Luz as the human watched in awe.
'I've never seen her fight before but….why did she come to save me?' Angry Luz thought.
Athena swung her axe, which Looma dodged.
"I thought you realized I had unbreakable skin."
"Who said I was aiming for you?" Athena asked, pulling her axe out.
The barrel she hit released a blue liquid into Looma's eyes, temporarily blinding her. Athena took the opportunity to run over and grab Angry Luz.
"As I was saying... I have big plans for you." Athena said, opening a portal to escape from the place, "Now come with me."
"No!" Angry Luz said as she began punching her arm but Athena's grip and armor were too strong and tough.
"Don't worry. You'll be seeing things MY way by the-"
A hand grabbed Athena's arm and squeezed, making her let go of Angry Luz.
"Never take your eyes off your opponent!" Loona shouted as she pulled and slammed three fists into Athena's stomach!
"GUH!" Athena coughed up with some blood.
"Begone with you!" Looma shouted as she spun and threw Athena into the portal.
"What is this crazy woman's deal?" Angry Luz mumbled about Looma.
Looma turned to Angry Luz and gazed down at her, she reached her top arms out and picked her up to stand on her feet.
"It's rude to call a fellow gladiator "crazy" for saving your life." Looma said with a smile.
"We'll… almost dying can make you think a little less clear." Angry Luz commented.
Looma chuckled a bit before putting a hand on her shoulder.
"Worry not. As fellow warriors, death will never claim you if we stick together." She said.
"Stick together? But we're not friends." Angry Luz said to her, confused.
"Those that share the field of battle are battle sisters and one does not abandon a battle sister in need." Looma said with a smile. "But if you wish for us to be friends, I would not deny it. I have been a fan of your battles for some time now."
"R-r-really?" Angry Luz asked.
She was genuinely surprised by this, Looma was one of the strongest gladiators in Inferno and she not only wanted to be her friend, but she was a fan of hers!
"Of course. That fire in your eyes reminds me a lot of myself when I first began." Looma said while holding her hand up.
Suddenly, Fighter ran into the room.
"Where's Athena?!" she shouted.
Angry Luz jumped at this while Looma held her fists up for another fight.
"Are you her ally?" She asked Fighter Luz.
"Hell no! Her husks are finished off, now where's the armored bitch?!" Fighter Luz asked as Phoenix showed up.
"Looma threw her into her portal after she tried to kidnap me." Angry Luz explained.
"Really? Well, that's a bit of a relief." Fighter Luz said as she calmed down a bit.
That was a half truth, Fighter Luz kind of hoped Athena was still here so they could kick her ass some more for the shit she pulled….but at least this version of them was safe now.
"We should hurry after Athena before she tries to kill someone else." Phoenix said as she clicked her belt, calling her dimensional suit to her body.
"Yeah." Fighter Luz said with a nod.
She put on her own suit as a new portal was made for them. Fighter Luz and Phoenix turned to Angry Luz and gave her a small nod.
"See you, us. Try to stay out of trouble." Fighter Luz said.
"And remember what we said." Phoenix said before they entered the portal.
Angry Luz looked at Looma... maybe they had a point.
'Maybe I can trust people again….but I won't forgive THEM anytime soon.' Angry Luz thought, concerning her OLD friends and ex-girlfriend.
