Summary: During the times of the Salem Witch Trials, a group of innocent witches is blessed with immortality and unlimited healing. With these powers, as well as their magic, they work in the shadows of human society to protect/save humanity from the darker side of the world. For centuries, they worked by themselves and trusted only themselves but when a HUMAN outcast is given the same gifts as them, how much would their work change and how will the human find a place among them?

They land in the new world and look around.
"Yep, this is the human world." Phoenix said.
"Yep. Meaning my gloves are useless here." Fighter Luz said, looking up at the blue sky. "It also means that the Luz of this universe could be like Mr. Hardcore."
"Really hope not." Phoenix said, "Don't want to deal with anymore vigilantes with fighting experience under Athena's control."
"I'd take that risk if it means Athena getting her ass handed to her again." Fighter Luz said as their suits retracted into their belts. "Come on, let's get out of this alley and find ourself."
"That might be easier said than done."
Both of them jumped at the new voice and turned around, seeing someone standing behind them with their arms crossed.
"Athena." Phoenix said, "This game is getting old."
"Well, why don't I introduce a new player?" Athena asked, snapping her fingers.
This world's Amity walked up. This Amity looked similar to the Amity from the Vigilante universe. An adult with wild green hair in a black shirt and black pants with boots, also having pointed ears to prove that she was a witch.
"Tell me, are you going to hurt her?" Athena asked, "Kill them, my pet."
This Amity nodded before pulling out a gun!
"Duck!" Phoenix shouted, getting in front of Fighter Luz.
The gun rang out and someone jumped in front of both the young Luz's. They looked up and saw this dimensions, Luz. She looked almost homeless with mangy hair in a pony tail, a brown overcoat, and blue jeans.
"Amity, stop." She said, grunting as she felt her body being filled with three bullets.
This Luz fell to her knees and groaned.
"Fine... we'll do this the hard way." She said, before throwing a knife and hitting Amity in the head.
This Luz ran kneed Amity in the nose and pulled the knife from Amity's head.
Fighter, Phoenix, and Athena were EXTREMELY shocked to see the Luz of this universe kill Amity without a second thought!
"Oh shit, did that just happen?" Athena asked, blinking.
"Yeah, it did. And so is this." This Luz said, lunging at Athena and stabbing her in the stomach!
Athena tried to pull back, but she was stabbed... if only it was that easy.
"Impressive but I can't be killed that easy." Athena said, grabbing the arm and pulling the knife out. "You will have to try better than that."
"I know. That's why she's going to shoot you." Luz said, smirking.
"She?" Athena asked.
The click of a gun was heard and Athena turned to see Amity holding a gun to her.
"Let her go." Amity said.
She pulled the trigger and fired at Athena, putting several bullets in her armor legs parts.
'How is she alive?!' Athena thought as she was pushed back.
"I have been on this earth for almost 350 years." Amity said, "I have been involved in some of the biggest events in human history, and you somehow managed to do something that not many have done... you pissed me off."
"350?!" Fighter Luz and Phoenix shouted in shock.
"Immortality is a wonderful thing isn't it?" Amity said, before firing again.
Athena jumped to avoid more bullets, holding one of her wounds and using shadow magic to force the bullets out of her body!
"Immortal?" Athena asked.
She was stabbed in the back by Luz.
"Yeah, it's a pretty cool and crazy thing." immortal Luz said, "Sure comes in handy though!"
Shaking off their shock, Fighter Luz and Phoenix rushed to help them as Athena blasted Immortal Luz away and summoned husks!
"Kill them!" Athena shouted.
"ROOOAH!" The husks roared as they charged.
"At this point we're just seeing who can kill more Husks." Phoenix said.
"At least you have your magic." Fighter Luz said, popping her knuckles.
"Whoever you two are, you're going to answer my questions after this." Immortal Luz quickly said to them.
"Yeah, we're use to that." Fighter and Phoenix said at the same time.
Phoenix rushed in first and stomped on the ground, sending flames at the shadow creatures. Amity drew a spell circle and put her hand through it, creating a spiked abomination gauntlet.
'Wait, so magic works here?' Fighter Luz thought, 'I wonder.'
She tapped her ice glyph. Her ice glyph glowed slowly before spreading from her hand, growing into an ice sword!
'I can use magic here, YES!' Fighter Luz thought, gripping the sword.
"Oh, I think I like this dimension!" Fighter said.
She rushed forward and slashed a husk in half, ducking another and stabbing it in the back before slicing upward!
Phoenix burned one approaching Fighter.
"Yeah, I like glyphs too, but maybe focus!" Phoenix said.
"You don't focus."
"I can't die." Phoenix said, "Unkillable Fire God, remember? You don't have that title."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Fighter Luz said before pushing her plan glyph, making a plant bomb.
While they fought, Amity and Immortal Luz were attacking Athena. Both of them fought with abandoned recklessness, not carrying if they got deathly injured since their injures would heal in seconds! Immortal Luz punched Athena in the back. Amity kicked her in the chest, making the armored woman spin her axe to cut off both of their limbs!
"I don't care if you heal, I just have to find your limit!" Athena shouted at them.
Immortal Luz grabbed her arm and hit Athena in the face!
"Well that will be fun, because I haven't found mine yet!" Immortal Luz said.
"Agreed!" Amity shouted, jumping and kicking Athena with one leg!
She then SLAMMED her other leg back into place as she healed.
Athena was taken to a knee. Immortal Luz put her arm back in before aiming her gun at Athena's right eye hole. Blood came out of it as the bullet embedded itself into Athena's eye. Her body went limp on the ground, the husks vanishing in waves of smoke as Fighter Luz and Phoenix stopped fighting.
"Is she dead? I'd be completely fine if she is." Phoenix said.
Athena disappeared and Immortal Luz thought of something.
"No, she's in deep sleep." She explained, "Amity explained it to me, it's when someone with powerful magic is injured very badly and we need to go into a coma like state in order to heal properly. If we can find her before she fully heals, then we can stop her now."
"But that begs the question of where she is. We don't know this world like you do." Fighter Luz said before melting her sword and burning her whip.
"Speaking of that, explain who you two are and why you look like Luz." Amity said, gesturing to Immortal Luz.
"Multiverse." They both said.
"Make sense to me!" Immortal Luz said.
"Really?" Amity asked her.
"You're an over 350 years old witch, one of several, that fights to save humanity from the shadows and you're my girlfriend. Would you believe that?" Immortal Luz asked, "I'm still trying to understand the whole immortal thing myself, so why not throw in the Multiverse?"
"...I don't know why I can't comprehend new weirdness even after 300 years and meeting a human chosen to be an immortal." Amity said, face palming.
"I love you too." Luz said with a smirk.
'So they were chosen to be immortals.' Fighter and Phoenix thought.
"Come on, let's get to the cave." Amity said.
"Cave? What, are you a group of Batmen and Batwomen?" Fighter Luz joked.
"No, we're not because we don't wear costumes." Immortal Luz said, shaking her head, "Now come on."
With no other options, the two young Luz followed their immortal counterpart and her girlfriend.
'I wonder who else is in her group?' Phoenix thought.
"So, are there... more of you?" Fighter asked.
"We just said there was a group of us, kid." Amity said, turning to Fighter Luz. "Can I assume you're a little slow?"
"Can I assume you're still a snooty bitch even after meeting me?" Fighter Luz asked, gesturing to Immortal Luz, "We've had a crazy few days, this is by far the most normal moment we've had."
"How crazy are we talking?" Immortal Luz asked.
"I've lost track of how many universes we've been to trying to stop Athena." Phoenix said.
"Yeah, nearly dying, getting thrown around, the mental and physical games she's been playing on us have been killer." Fighter Luz said.
"Yikes, that's almost like everything I've been through in the first year of being an immortal." Immortal Luz said as they watched a parked car.
"And I keep saying, you'll get used to it." Amity said, pulling out a key and unlocking the car. "Everyone inside."
"You keep saying you'll get used to it, I have yet to get used to it." Immortal Luz said.
"I experienced everything from the creation of America to the smartphone, if you want to complain about getting used to it, I'm not the one to complain to."
"Hmph." Immortal Luz said with a pout before Amity began driving away to the cave.
They arrived at the cave.
"Word of warning, it looks like a normal cave but it actually has-" Immortal Luz was cut off.
"An illusion spell to hide it from others? Yeah, we have the same magic in our universes." Fighter Luz said, gesturing to her and Phoenix.
"Yeah but it's still nice to see new uses for it." Phoenix said as they all got out of the car.
"Can't wait to see this place." Phoenix said.
"Trust me, you'll love it." Immortal Luz said
"I hope so." Fighter Luz said.
"As long as there's a bed, I don't care, we haven't slept in days... I think." Phoenix said.
Once again, the duo found themselves tired and in need of rest after traveling to universe after universe.
'This is worse than any jet lag.' Fighter thought.
Her healing glyph or Phoenix's self healing could only go so far, it could heal their bodies but it couldn't make them feel rested and restored.
"Come on, I'll show you the place while Amity parks the car." Immortal Luz said as she lead Phoenix and Fighter to the other end.
"Lead me to a couch. I'll be sleeping." Fighter Luz said.
"Same."
They reached the end of the cave or at least that's what they thought as immortal Luz kept walking and passed right though the cave wall.
"Not even top ten weirdest things I've seen during this entire thing." Phoenix said.
"Yep." Fighter Luz said as they walked into the wall.
"Welcome to Immortals HQ." Immortal Luz said, gesturing to their cave that actually looked like a penthouse apartment now.
"Everywhere I go makes the Owl House look worse." Fighter said.
"I own a castle, nothing one ups that." Phoenix said.
"Don't know what this owl house is but I'm sure it's quaint. Come on, let's get you some food before you rest." Immortal Luz said.
"I'll agree to that." Phoenix said.
Amity walked in behind the trio as Immortal Luz lead them to the kitchen for some food.
"Remember, Luz." Amity said.
"Don't touch what's labeled! I know!" Immortal Luz said. "Hunter blew my head off because of that! You do it one fucking time."
"Once was enough!" Amity shouted.
"What's with all the yelling?!" Someone asked, slamming their door open. "I'm trying to sleep!"
"Sorry, Boscha, but Luz and I were showing around our new guests."
"Guests? What fucking guests?!" Boscha asked, stomping out of her room. "We don't bring mortals our base!"
"I know but these two are exceptions." Amity said to her.
"Why?" Boscha asked.
Amity just decided to lead Boscha to the kitchen and gesturing to Luz, ALL three Luz as Immortal Luz watched Fighter Luz and Phoenix devour sandwiches like carnivores.
"Dang, when was the last time you two ate?" Immortal Luz asked.
"Don't know, don't care!" Fighter Luz said, chugging water, "I mean, if you do want to get technical, Phoenix is unkillable, so I think she technically does belong here."
"Phoenix?" Boscha asked, coming out of shock.
"The Luz with the flaming hair and arms." Amity said, pointing towards Phoenix.
"Titan, I will never question the food on the Boiling Isles ever again!" Phoenix said.
Boscha was about to open her mouth, but was stopped when Amity held up a finger.
"It's a bit of a story." Amity said, "I think you better wake up everyone else. With who we're facing, we need all hands on deck."
"It better be, you know how Bria gets if she doesn't get her beauty sleep." Boscha said.
Amity nodded to her as the Luz's finished eating, both belching loudly as they leaned back in their chairs.
"Nice. If that doesn't wake everyone up, nothing will." Immortal Luz said with a smirk.
"I hope everyone back home is okay." Fighter Luz said.
"I hope my world isn't on fire." Phoenix said, "They really are blind without me."
"I'm sure your worlds are fine." Immortal Luz said with a shrug.
"They're quite literally the demon realm." Phoenix said, "And I'm the Emperor of one of them."
"And I'm just a kickboxer with magic gloves but that doesn't mean I can't fuck someone up." Fighter Luz said with a yawn. "Now hurry up and get your team together. I'm fading fast."
"Yeah, yeah, they're coming."
Hearing multiple footsteps, the trio of Luzs turned to the entrance of the kitchen to see Amity had returned with several familiar, older faces. Even one that one of them only saw once.
'Gus, Skara, Hunter, Bria from Glandus, Willow, Edric, and Emira.' Fighter Luz thought.
"Okay, I've seen everyone else, but who's the purple haired woman?" Phoenix asked.
"I remember her. Her name is Bria and she goes to Glandus High in my universe." Fighter Luz said.
"Glandus? What sort of school is that?" The older Bria asked, crossing her arms.
"Different universe, multiverse." Phoenix quickly answered.
"I hope she isn't a bitch here." Fighter Luz said, "After all, in my world, she threatened to hurt Gus."
"Why would I be a bitch to my man?" Bria asked, putting her arm around Gus.
"You just are in my universe. Another guy explained how Glandus was a shitty school but that's for another day." Fighter Luz said. "Back to our current problem and her name is Athena."
"And what's so bad about it?"
"She's a maniac that's out to either rule the multiverse or destroy it. And to do that, she's been targeting every Luz she can find." Phoenix said with a serious face.
"...Okay so she sounds pretty fucking bad." Bria said with wide eyes, the same as every other immortal.
"Yeah, and honestly, you might be the only ones that can actually help stop her." Phoenix said.
"Why?" Skara asked, crossing her arms.
"Because you all seem to be unkillable. Your immortality is an ace to go all out and up close with Athena." Fighter Luz said.
"Plus her mind control can be fixed with a shot to your head before you heal." Phoenix added.
"It's true. I know." Amity said, rubbing her head.
'Even if it was uncomfortable.' Amity thought.
"Does she have any other abilities we need to know about?" Hunter asked them.
"She controls shadow magic, she can summon mindless monsters called Husks, and she can open a portal to a realm that makes your worst fears come true." Fighter Luz said, holding up three fingers. "She's also good with an axe, so be careful if you use blades."
"Not really like that stops us." Boscha mumbled.
"It stopped me." Phoenix said, before snapping her own neck.
Everyone flinched from this before Phoenix's head burst into flames before her neck and head healed.
"I'm basically immortal but she somehow found a way to prevent my healing abilities." Phoenix said.
"So pretty much, if she wanted to, she could've killed me." Phoenix said.
"Well, our immortality works differently and we've grown numb to the pain after about 300 years. We should be fin." Boscha said, confident.
"Still, we can't go into the is half cocked." Willow said to everyone. "We'll need to bring a lot of firepower if we want to put this Athena down."
"Uh, how much firepower do you have?" Fighter Luz asked, "Because this girl is literally a Fire God."
""Can she survive an heatseeking missile mixed with a pseudo nuke?" Hunter asked.
"You are not using that!" Willow and Emira shouted at him.
"I've had it for years! I want to use it at least once!" Hunter said.
"We are not using a nuke, especially in a place that Mortals live!" Willow said.
"What if she's not in a place with mortals?" Hunter asked.
"The explosion would attract TOO much attention. Attention that a group like us do not need!" Emira said to him.
"Cool as it would be, they have a point. A big boom is a big no-no." Edric said, shaking his head. "Just bring normal missiles."
"Well, nice to know somethings don't change in other dimensions." Fighter Luz said.
"My siblings in your universe still like to cause destruction?" Amity asked her.
"Yep." Fighter Luz said with a yawn. "Anyway, one last subject. If we know Athena is sleeping somewhere to rest, how do we find her?"
"Simple, portals create a massive field of magical energy." Willow said, "If she went into a slumber, she probably wouldn't be able to go far, so if we can find the magic energy similar to the portal, then we can find her."
"You can do that?" Phoenix asked in surprise.
"We can here. Different laws of magic." Boscha said with a theory.
"At this point, that's not even that surprising." Fighter said.
Fighter Luz yawned again as she slowly laid her head in the counter, feeling sleepy after a big meal.
"I think I need a Power Nap before going after that bitch." She said.
"Yeah, we've spent who knows how long going after her."
"Then take this time to get some rest while we get everything ready." Skara said to them.
"Yeah, we will." Phoenix said.
Phoenix stood up and threw Fighter Luz over her shoulder, walking to the den.
"What are you doing?" Fighter Luz asked.
"Don't question a god." Phoenix said.
"You're not my god."
"Don't care." Phoenix said, placing Fighter Luz on a couch.
Phoenix laid on the other side of the couch. Both of them fell asleep in seconds as the group of immortal teenagers prepared to go to war. It was only against a woman who could summon an army of shadow creatures, control dark magic, and send people to a nightmare dimension.
Saying it was going to war was putting it gently. It may be the start of the apocalypse.
'Oh god, if the apocalypse does happen, we'll all basically be Adam and Eve.' Immortal Luz thought.
"Stop being weird." Amity said, just knowing what Immortal Luz is thinking from her expression.
"How am I not supposed to, we're going to war with that... woman." She said with a shiver.
"Calling her a woman is too gentle. She's a fucking maniac." Amity said, checking her guns.
"Even if we haven't met her, I agree." Skara said, putting on body armor.
You know it's bad if the immortal puts on armor.
"Hey, we bringing our original weapons too?" Bria asked.
"You just want an excuse to use your sword again." Boscha said to her.
"So? Bullets run out, a sword doesn't." Bria said with a shrug.
"God you are... hot." Boscha said.
"Can you two save it for later?" Gus asked them.
"And save it for you? Gladly." Boscha and Bria said with tiny grins.
Gus blushed a bit and looked away, causing the two girls to look at each other.
"We still got it, 100 years later." Boscha said.
"Damn right we do." Bria said with pride.
'Why do I have to have two girlfriends that are like this?' Gus thought to himself. 'I love them but they are just too much sometimes!'
With Willow, she was slipping on a pair of brass knuckles. She gave a few shadow punches, testing her speed with the new weight.
"Good. Still got it." Willow said with a nod.
"You haven't broken those out since I met you." Amity said, "You knocked five of my teeth out that day."
"Yeah, I know. Good think out teeth heal as well or you'd have to go to the dentist." Willow said with a small chuckle.
"Yeah, not the best way to spend your 259th birthday." Amity said to her.
"And I still look good too." Willow said with her hands on her hips.
"I hope you're ready." A voice said.
Willow turned around to see her boyfriend, Hunter, standing behind her.
"I'm always ready." Willow said with a smile.
"Don't underestimate her." Amity said.
"We're not." Hunter said to Amity. "Half of us are great in close combat and the other half are great snipers or distance shooters."
"That won't work unless we have a good plan of attack." Amity said to them. "She's a very big challenge."
"We know and we've handled big challenges like her before. Stopping human trafficking, helping with the Underground Railroad, even helping with overthrowing overlords in other countries." Willow said, revealing some of their missions over the past 300 years.
"God I would love to punch that annoying Austrian's face again." Hunter said, smiling at the memory.
"Well, none of those missions had people that could use magic." Amity said.
"A few of them did but those were humans trying to do magic. Not many of those are left today." Willow said.
"Still, I'm going to get the magic protection charms too." Hunter said, walking off.
Amity rubbed her arms, which Willow noticed.
"Hey, you good?" Willow asked.
"She... took over my body with her magic. It's terrifying, you know what you're doing, but you have no ability to stop it, it's like you're a puppet under the strings of the puppeteer." Amity said, explaining her mind control experience.
"That sounds horrible." Willow said to her friend.
"That doesn't even describe it. And to only die to break free, I actually thought that dying would be a godsend until I came back to life." Amity said as she gulped in fear. "She's found a way to turn my immortality against me. Because now I'll be forced to live with that forever, those thoughts I got... they scare me."
Amity held herself and shivered a bit, the memories still fresh from when Athena first popped up before her and put her under mind control.
Willow put her hands on Amity's shoulders.
"Hey, everything will be okay." She said, smiling.
"And if this crazy woman controls you guys too?" Amity asked.
"We'll get through it and overcome it together." Willow said. "We've been in crazy situations before, this is no different."
"Even with two younger versions of Luz from different universes?" Amity asked.
"...This is craziest so far but still a crazy situation." Willow said blankly. "Don't worry, we got this."
"Yeah...We do." Amity said firmly but she was still worried.
So worried she even gave a small prayer that they would all be safe and come back from this alive, even if Amity's faith in God was shaky and Phoenix's warning about Athena having a way to kill an immortal was still on her mind.
It was never wrong to be a little hopeful.
Meanwhile, inside a hidden location, a dark cocoon like structure was floating in the middle of the area as Athena was lifelessly floating inside.
She hasn't needed dark slumber since Boscha tried to assassinate her... her bones made a wonderful throne. It was a very fond memory, one of several Athena had to look through in her mind as she patiently waited for her body to "heal from death."
From melting Boscha's skin off while she was alive, to ripping out Hunter's Galdorstone heart, to watching her magic slowly destroy Belos. After everything he did to her, after everything he took from her... there was no bigger satisfaction than to give him a fate worse than death.
Seeing it again almost made Athena miss him being alive but after she took care of the Luzs of the multiverse, all the Beloses are next. Oh that will be the best time of her life.
Only then could she say that she got true justice against everyone she lost.
'Soon, soon everything will be ready.' Athena thought, twitching her fingers.
Back at the cave, the immortals were ready for this.
Guns, bombs, body armor, melee weapons; they had it all along with a prepared unregistered jeep to drive them to wherever Athena is hiding. Now all they had to do was trace the magic signal.
"Bria, Skara, Emira; you girls are up." Boscha said to the "trackers" of the team.
"Sure. Let's work our magic." Skara said to her friends.
Emira cracked her fingers.
"Gladly." She said with a smile.
Bria smiled as well while she rubbed her hands together, charging with magic before creating a floating clay platform.
'First, a moldable map to cover about 50 miles.' Bria thought as Emira's eyes flashed as the clay molded into a landscape.
Her magic was able to give it color for a better map and better visuals.
Then, Skara put her fingers to her lips and whistled, sending a magic signal over not just the map but over the literal landscape around them since it traveled at the literal speed of sound.
'Now we have to wait and see if we pick up on her signal.' Skara thought as everyone got into the jeep.
Soon, there was a ping on the map, drawing everyone to look at the small map.
"We've got her!" Skara said with a smile. "About 40 miles north, in an abandoned factory."
"Dark, desolate, and free of any people, sounds about right." Fighter Luz said as Boscha started the jeep.
"Yeah, and I'm ready to kill her." Phoenix said.
"Get in line." Amity said as Boscha stepped on the gas, driving as she followed the magic map.
'You won't control me again.' Amity thought with a grip on her gun.
A rather calming drive but more than likely the calm before the storm, the radio wasn't even turned on as they all seemed to WANT to be on edge so they could be ready.
After a while, the vehicle stopped.
"We're here." Boscha said, looking at the magic map again.
"Good, and it seems like she's still asleep." Skara said, sending another whistle to check the area. "No other movements either, so those Husks things aren't around either."
"Then let's get in there and end this." Phoenix said.
Everyone got out of the car and prepared any weapons they had on hand, Immortal Luz especially as she held a sniper rifle in hand.
'A good few 50 caliber bullets should put her down.' Immortal Luz thought.
"Alright, everyone remember the plan?" Edric asked everyone.
The group nodded
"Then let's kill this bitch." Edric said as they all walked inside of the factory.
Boscha and Bria took the lead, holding Assault Rifles.
Edric, Emira, and Hunter were behind them with military shotguns and riot shields.
Then behind them was Amity and Immortal Luz with snipers, while the rest covered Fighter and Phoenix.
'I don't need it but I'm glad they're protective of us.' Phoenix thought.
'I hate to say this but it's nice to have immortal bodyguards.' Fighter Luz thought as it made her feel special.
Skara gave a signal for them to stop as she had the magic map in her hand, now showing the interior of the abandoned factory.
"Athena is just beyond that door." Skara said, pointing to a storage room door.
"Good, then let's end this." Immortal Luz said.
"Bria, Edric, would you do the honors?" Boscha asked.
"Gladly." Edric said, walking to the door with Bria. "Seems like it's a little rusty but we should be able to open it."
With a little magic and effort two grabbed the bottom of the doors and forced them open. Boscha moved in with her assault rifle ready, looking in two directions with her three eyes.
'It's quiet, too quiet.' Boscha thought, signaling everyone to come in.
Immortal Luz and Amity hung back though, moving to find good vantage points to snipe Athena or any husk that tries to surprise attack their group.
The storage room itself was mostly empty, filled with old equipment and cobwebs along with some other small rooms inside.
Hunter moved towards one of the smaller rooms and grabbed a door handle, slowly opened it to find a large black... pod thing.
"In here." He said to everyone.
Just as Amity said it was." Phoenix said in surprise.
'It's like nothing I've ever seen before.' She thought as the immortals moved to surround it with their guns pointing at it.
"The second that thing opens, unleash everything you guys got." Amity said.
"Why wait? Let's fry her ass now." Fighter Luz said, creating flames from her glyph gloves.
"I agree." Phoenix said with a nod.
"Because we've messed with this kind of stuff." Immortal Luz said, "It's impossible to destroy from the outside, we have to wait for her to come out, that's when she'll be at her weakest."
"How weak?" Fighter Luz asked.
"Barely enough to stand and too weak to use magic." Skara said with a smirk. "She'll be a sitting duck."
"Now, everyone keep an eye on it." Willow said to the group.
'But for how long?' Fighter and Phoenix thought as everyone moved into positions around the dark pod.
That would be the question on everyone's mind, as they all waited. How long they would wait, it was hard to tell.
-30 minutes later-
After the longest thirty minutes ever... it opened.
"Open fire!" Amity said, as everyone fired on the pod.
They stopped and let the smoke clear. They expected a dead Athena... but the pod was empty.
"That was almost too easy." Athena said, hiding in the shadows, "I finished my sleep hours ago."
With a snap of her fingers, the pod exploded and transformed into multiple husks as they began to attack the group!
"Take them down!" Athena said.
"Kill these fuckers!" Bria shouted, firing at them with Boscha.
"Luz!" Amity said to Immortal Luz.
"I know!" Immortal Luz said, firing at them.
Their high vantage point in the old rafters helped them snipe the husks without getting hurt.
"Fighter, we need to deal with Athena." Phoenix said.
"I know!" Fighter Luz said, blocking a Husk and punching it away!
Phoenix grabbed Fighter and flew up then at Athena.
"Cover them!" Edric shouted as he fired at several husks.
"RAAAAH!" Skara screamed, firing a sonic screech at several husks.
"Get your leg ready." Phoenix said.
Phoenix literally threw Fighter Luz, and she delivered a strong kick right to Athena.
"YAAAAAH!" Fighter Luz screamed!
Athena quickly countered, punching Fighter Luz's foot as a shockwave BOOMED in the room as both of them skidded across the room.
"Guh!" Athena grunted, feeling her arm was shattered before it began to heal.
"Ugh!" Fighter Luz grunted, feeling her leg going numb but not broken. "Fuck, a deadlock."
'One advantage of having a leg filled with metal, it's incredibly hard to break.' Fighter thought.
Phoenix rushed towards Athena, holding a ball of fire above her head! Using her magic, Athena made an old forklift come to life and drive to protect her!
Phoenix threw the fireball and hit the forklift, it was so hot that the forklift melted.
"Such a waste." Athena said, summoning her axe and slashing the melted metal at them!
"Hit the dirt!" Fighter Luz shouted, dodging the hot metal!
The immortals, except Phoenix, dodged the flying metal as well as some of it burned the husks.
"Cocky bitch! Let's see how you like this!" Bria said, casting a spell to create large stone fists!
"Honestly, I like it very much." Athena said, gesturing to her to "bring it."
The purple haired witch charged and threw various punches at Athena, who blocked and dodged most of her punches.
"Slow. Sloppy. Sad. Pathetic." The dark woman comments.
"UGH!" Bria said in frustration.
Another punch was dodged as Athena delivered a strong uppercut to her.
Bria stumbled back before being Spartan kicked into a wall!
"Anyone else?" Athena asked before she was stabbed in the side! "Ugh!"
She looked down to see nobody was there, meaning that a certain someone was invisible. She didn't know who, but had a feeling she would find out.
Bullets hit her armor as Athena covered her eye holes!
"Nobody does that to my girl!" Boscha shouted.
"Ed!" Emira said, creating a chain out of magic.
"Oh yeah!" Edric said, doing the same.
Both twins swung and their chains wrapped around Athena's arms. Edric and Emira pulled tightly to keep Athena in place as Skara unleashed a sonic screech!
"RAAAAAAAAAAAH!" She screamed, hitting Athena with full force.
Athena was knocked back from it as Edric and Emira kept their grip on the chains before they both pulled the chains to slam Athena around the room. It also collected some of her husks.
Phoenix used this chance to run, jump, and deliver a strong punch right onto Athena, creating a crater and burning the husks to ash.
"Ugh!" Athena grunts before sinking deeper, escaping into the shadows.
"No!" Hunter shouted, teleport-rushing to Athena.
He managed to grab her before she could go into the shadow.
"Fastball special!" Hunter shouted, rushing around the room in a trail of golden light and dragging Athena against the wall!
"Ready!" Boscha screamed, transforming her arm into that of a giant.
Boscha had a big smile, indicating that she enjoyed this.
"Ready!" Bria said with a smile too, getting up and creating a giant stone club.
Hunter smiled as well before throwing Athena towards them!
"Hey batter batter SWING!" Bria shouted as she slammed the club into her.
"GUH!" Athena grunted before flying to Boscha, who slammed her into the ground!
"Stay down, bitch!" Boscha yelled at Athena.
Athena groaned a bit before clenching the ground, making shadows IMPALE Bria and Boscha in the chests!
"You bitch!" Gus shouted, becoming visible and firing at her.
'Found you.' Athena thought, before summoning a tendril.
The tendril wrapped around Gus and she pulled him close, and then used her axe and cut him in half.
"HUH!" Gus let out with blood, his top half slowly sliding off his bottom half and hitting the floor.
"GUS!" Bria and Boscha shouted.
Athena stood up tall and held her axe.
"Don't worry, you're next!" She said to them.
Suddenly , Willow tackled Athena to the ground before kicking her into the air, summoning vines to hold her up.
"Get away from them!" Willow shouted, tightening her vines and pulling them apart to keep Athena's limbs restricted.
Athena looked down at Willow, unimpressed by this as she saw everyone else ready to fire on her.
'This is boring me.' She thought, looking to see Boscha and Bria still bleeding on her shadow spikes. 'They're still alive too. This could go on forever.'
Athena snapped her fingers, creating a hundred spikes that impaled Willow.
"GUH!" Willow let out.
"The only thing interesting about you all is your immortality." Athena said as her shadow spikes began collecting samples of their blood. "But I'm sure I can find a way around that."
Hunter teleported to her and kicked Athena away, snapping the vines!
"You'll pay for that!" Hunter said, pulling out his original broadsword and rushing at Athena.
"Yeah!" Edric shouted, rushing with two daggers.
Athena held her axe and spun it quickly before holding it behind her.
"Show me what you've got, boys." Athena said with a jovial tone.
"RAH!" Edric and Hunter shouted, slashing at Athena as she blocked their attacks.
Athena proved to be a powerful fighter, as it was almost like she was just toying with them, dancing and deflecting their attacks as everyone else rushed to their slowly healing friends. Like Emira helping Gus put himself back together while Skara and Amity un-impaled Boscha and Bria. Eventually, she ended their dance by slamming the edge of her axe into Edric's head while stabbing the tip into Hunter's chest.
'That makes 5.' Athena thought before saw Skara summon a magic guitar. 'Oh shit.'
"Who wants to rock?" Skara asked, before slamming her hand on the strings.
A rock and roll shockwave blasted Athena back, destroying some of her husks as well as she crashed into the far wall! Kicking up a cloud of dust!
Athena attempted to get up, but was knocked back by another blast.
Skara didn't give her a chance as she was giving a power ballad with the magical electric guitar!
"YEAH!" Skara shouted as she kept playing!
Athena strained as she pulled back her axe and threw it, managing to cut the strings of the guitar. But thankfully, Skara knew how to use it still as she grabbed the neck of the guitar and charged at Athena.
"Let's see if you like slam dancing!" Skara shouted, hitting Athena through the wall!
"Such strength." Athena said in surprise as she tumbled against the outside ground.
"That's right bitch, I'm strong!" Skara said with a grin.
Getting back up, Athena rushed in and threw a punch as Skara blocked with her guitar!
"The same could be said for me!" Athena said, throwing more attacks as Skara blocked/deflected with her guitar.
When she found an opening, Skara hit Athena in the stomach with the guitar and slapped her against the face!
Athena grunted but grabbed the guitar and pulled Skara close before punching her across the cheek! She was knocked to the ground and felt blood coming from her lips as Athena looked at her knuckles.
'That's five.' Athena thought before using her shadows to absorb the blood, glancing at Hunter, Emira, Edric, Amity, and Immortal Luz. 'Only five more.'
"Come, I wish for a challenge." Athena said, recalling her axe.
Emira growled at Athena, marching forward as she summoned her weapon.
"You want a challenge? I'll give you a challenge!" Emira shouted as she span her weapon in hand and held it around her body.
Athena was a bit surprise by her weapon; a beautiful yet deadly looking three-section staff connection by three rings in between the joins of the weapon. Each staff is decorated with a flame-like pattern near the ends by the metal which connects to the chains and at the end of the left and right ones, were bladed tips that had dry blood on them.
'Finally... a worthy opponent.' Athena thought, before rushing towards Emira.
Athena swung her axe, but Emira blocked it. Emira span and twirled her weapon around, slashing at Athena as she blocked but was sent skidding back!
'Such strength too?! A magical enhancement?' Athena thought as Emira jumped and slammed her weapon down!
Athena dodged and a crater formed where she stood, proving that it WAS a strength enhancement imbued in the weapon.
"You are definitely a powerful young lady." Athena said, "I like that, it will be so much more fun when I kill you."
"Bitch, if I had a nickel every time I was told that, I'd be able to buy the planet." Emira said.
Emira span and lashed her weapon at Athena like a whip, making her dodge and deflect as she created shadow tendrils!
'Oh no you don't!' Emira thought, stopping and stabbing her weapon into the ground!
A burst of fire magic spread already across the floor, making the tendrils burn away!
"I'm not gonna let you use your magic!" Emira shouted.
Athena growled and charged at Emira. She swung her axe, but Emira was quick and grabbed her weapon again and blocked the strike.
She kicked up and hit Athena's chin but her head held in place, growling at Emira as she dropped her axe!
"RAH!" Athena shouted, punching right into Emira's stomach!
Emira's pupils dilated as she felt the single hit hurt her more than most strikes should've.
And they didn't stop as Athena kept hitting her with her bare hands, punch after punch stunning her as Emira tried to block!
'She's open!' Athena thought before she slammed her axe into Emira's head.
"Ugh!" Emira groaned as she was hit before Athena stabbed through Emira's foot! "AAAH!"
"Can't take it, can you?!" Athena asked, grabbing and RIPPING Emira's leg right off her body!
'That's 6.' Athena thought, collecting Emira's blood.
She turned and was hit by blast of fire from Fighter and Phoenix.
Athena dropped the limb as she crashed into the back way, the stone around her melted into clay and wrapped around her body to hold her.
"Got you now, you bitch." Bria said with a glare.
"Cute." Athena said, "But not good enough."
A bolt of lightning shocked Athena, making her spasm under the concert prison!
"How about now?" Amity asked, producing the lightning from her fingers.
'God damnit.' Phoenix thought, feeling jealous.
"You're not leaving this dimension alive, I swear to GOD you are NOT!" Amity shouted, increasing the power of the lightning.
"That's what you think." Athena said, glancing to the ceiling.
Floating in the air was a secret container of blood, blood from all of the immortals around her since the battle began.
'I just need a little more, one more immortal should do it.' Athena thought as she cast her glance at Immortal Luz.
Who better to get the last immortal blood she needs than from the Luz of this universe?
'I'm going to make sure this hurts.' Athena thought.
Amity increased the lighting output again, making Athena convulse from the energy like it was frying her insides. Once Amity was sure she was "dead," she cut off her lightning as smoke came off the "corpse." Everyone watched and waited for something, anything to happen before confirming Athena was dead. Silence filled the room until it was broken by a sudden...SNAP!
A small explosion went off, blinding everyone with smoke as everyone covered their eyes!
'Now! Athena thought, slipping into the shadows and escaping before she appeared before Amity!
She delivered a strong punch to Amity, dead center of her chest!
"GUH!" Amity grunted, feeling her rib cage cave in as she went flying out of the smoke!
"AMITY!" Immortal Luz shouted.
"She'll be fine. Now, are you ready to be beaten?" Athena asked.
Immortal Luz turned around and was punched in the face, sent out of the smoke as Athena rushed after her!
'Show me what your got!' Athena thought.
Immortal Luz got up and blocked Athena's strike. She blocked and dodged all of her strikes, being adept in at least some hand to hand combat.
'She's fast and strong but if I can find an opening.' She thought, blocking a kick.
"Come on, it's like you're not even trying!" Athena said.
Athena threw more attacks before Immortal Luz ducked, throwing an uppercut to her chin!
'Fuck! That's like a brick wall!' Immortal Luz thought as she moved back.
She knew she needed to fight smart.
"Hmm, not bad." Athena said as she attacked again!
Immortal Luz kept up her defense, dodging the attacks and sending counterattacks to any exposed parts of Athena's armor! Still nothing was stopping her so far as Athena kept coming at her.
Eventually the smoke cleared, revealing that everyone was now restrained by husks!
'I didn't even hear them!' Everyone thought in shock, being forced to watch Athena fighting Immortal Luz.
Immortal Luz went on the offensive, delivering a strong kick to Athena's side. But Athena caught the leg, though Immortal Luz jumped and kicked her in the face with the other!
'Impressive.' Athena thought as she stumbled back.
Immortal Luz went for a tackle, making Athena got for a tackle as well before Immortal Luz jumping into a flying knee!
Athena stumbled back as her brain was actually rattled.
'A fake out!' Athena thought Immortal Luz landed.
'Now the throat!' Immortal Luz thought, throwing a finger jab into Athena's throat!
Athena coughed and held her throat. She used her other hand and grabbed the wrist. She pulled her in and delivered a headbutt to Immortal Luz.
"GUH!" Immortal Luz said in pain.
"Enough!" Athena said, swinging two of her fingers up and JAMMING them in this Luz's nose!
"AAAAAAAAH!" Immortal Luz screamed in pain, feeling her nose broken!
'Up you go!' Athena thought, pulling the immortal human off the ground!
She then turned and slammed her to the ground. Athena raised her axe and then slammed it onto her chest, for a normal person, it would've been an immediate death... Immortal Luz didn't have that luxury.
She was in incredible pain, coughing up blood and unable to breathe!
"LUZ!" Everyone shouted in worry.
'I'll be taking some of your blood and then get the hell out of here!' Athena thought.
Until behind Athena, two people with breathtaking anger issues, grabbed her.
"Phoenix, I think we should stop indulging in this bitches game." Fighter said.
"Agreed. Let's put this to an end." Phoenix said, calmly and her hair blazing blue in rage.
Phoenix used her natural strength, while Fighter used a power glyph and threw her to the other side of the room.
Crashing into the wall and onto the ground outside of the abandoned factory, Athena laid on the dirt and gazed up to the stars of this universe.
'I really hate those two. I really do but it doesn't matter.' Athena thought, raising her hand to see the blood from Immortal Luz was still there. 'I still have what I need from this world, even if that Luz doesn't die.'
"As much as I would like to stay... I have places to be." Athena said.
Athena rose from the ground and snapped her fingers, calling the container of blood AND her axe back. Using shadows, she made the immortal blood flow into the container and sealed tightly before placing it in a pocket dimension.
"Get your ass back here!" Fighter Luz shouted as she and Phoenix rushed out of the factory.
"No, I don't think I will." Athena teased them.
Athena opened a portal behind her and jumped in, waving goodbye with a mocking glint in her eyes!
"YOU'RE NOT GETTING AWAY!" Phoenix and Fighter shouted as they jumped forward!
Phoenix flew and wrapped her legs around FIghter's waist as Fighter put her hands out and fired flame thrusters!
They flew through the portal.
