The family of two brought this strange person to their small apartment complex where they had to walk. Seems both the cab driver and his door weren't such a big fan of her gigantic dress that could barely fit in his cab. So that means they needed to race to their place before the rain came, and they just about missed it by the time they reached the building. With some stroke of luck, the dress was capable of entering the elevator and they reached their floor at the top of the complex, which is the twelve floor up.
"Mayday, show her to our place," Peter tells Mayday as she managed to slip out of the elevator faster and easier.
"And then the old hag told me to look down the well and wish for my heart's desire." Giselle was finishing how she managed to land in this world. "But I must have looked very far because I fell, down, down. And then I climbed out of this big, round hole and I got very lost until I fell off of the castle. And now here I am with you!"
Peter couldn't help but see a bit of a pattern with her as it seems she fell twice on the same day. Her story sounded a bit absurd for his liking, but at the same time, he knew wizards and people who ride dinosaurs in a hidden world. So he isn't exactly the best person to say what sounds plausible or not.
"Is this a habit of yours? Falling off of things?" Peter asks her in concern.
"Well, usually someone catches me," Giselle tells him as they continue to walk down the corridor and found their apartment. "But, not to worry, I'm certain that Edward is already searching for me. No doubt by morning he'll come and rescue me from this strange land." Peter then walked over and took the keys out to open the door. "Take me home, and the two of us can share in true love's kiss."
Peter looked back over to her as that wasn't exactly how others would describe it like that. "True love's kiss?"
"It's the most powerful thing in the world," Giselle said in happiness as she looked around in bliss.
Peter sighed as he once believed in stuff like that once upon a time. "Right."
"Now if I could only find a place to rest my head for the night," Giselle said as she looked around the corridor.
"What kind of place were you thinking of?" Peter wonders.
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe a nearby meadow or a hollow tree." Giselle was considering all of her options she figured.
Peter couldn't tell if she was being serious or not and didn't know how to respond. "A hollow tree."
"Or a house full of dwarves." Giselle found that as another option for herself. "I hear they're very hospitable."
Peter sighed and looked at the apartment and back at Giselle, knowing that he wasn't going to let that happen. "Okay, look the least we can do is let you stay for the night." He knew he wasn't going to send her off and he didn't exactly have the money to spring for her to find a place at the moment. Not to mention there could be the chance he could just call one of his multiversal friends to get her home if what she was saying was true. "We can let you dry off, and give you a place to sleep. It's not exactly a castle, but it's comfortable. I just got to get little missy here to bed."
Giselle seemed relieved to hear that as she let out a blissful sigh as Peter had Mayday enter the house first. "That's very kind of you."
"Well, it's just how I was raised." Peter shrugged and gestured for her to enter the place.
Giselle then tried to enter the small doorway, but it seems that her wedding dress was too big for the doorway. Considering that she couldn't even get into the doorway, no matter how much she pushed the dress.
"This is a big dress," Peter commented as he looked over it.
"Oh. Do you like it?" Giselle asks as she continues to try and push inside. "I gathered the silk from my silkworm friends and I spun it into a thread on my spinning wheel."
"You made this by yourself?" Mayday asks in surprise.
"Well..." Giselle tried to get into the doorway, with the two of them helping. "The mice and rabbits did help with the sewing."
"They're good," Mayday admitted as she looked over the dress.
But it seems that the combined strength of the three of them, not including Peter's super strength, ended up ripping the bottom half of the dress and sending her flying. Mayday managed to move and dodge her as she came rolling through and landed where she then landed on the ground where she giggled at the silliness. Peter wasn't sure if he would believe her if she was from another universe or if she was an escaped patient from some sort of mental asylum.
Mayday was now all changed into her pajamas and was ready to go to bed when she walked around to find her dad. She found him in the kitchen and saw Giselle was currently on the couch.
"Night, daddy," Mayday said as she walked up and pecked his cheek.
"Night, sweetie," Peter tells her as he found Doctor Strange's contact information. "Sleep tight."
Mayday then walked over to Giselle and was curious about something. "Are you really a princess?"
"Not yet," Giselle informs her. "But...I will be soon." Then she seemed to just lay her head down and just pass out.
"Wow, daddy, she is really sleepy," Mayday commented on how fast she fell asleep.
Peter chuckled as he had to admit that was pretty fast for about anyone. "Yeah, she did. Well, you get to bed, I'll tuck you in soon."
"Okay." Mayday agreed as she rushed down to her bedroom.
Peter then pushed the contact and heard it ring for a moment. "You have reached the Sanctum Sanctorum answering machine. We are currently unavailable as we are all most likely dealing with a multiversal threat. Please leave-"
Peter scoffed as he just hung up and knew that there was no way all of them were out. "Having yet another Mystical Fomu party at Karma-Tag, Stephen? Thought you would have learned from last time."
Looking down at the sleeping supposed princess, Peter sighed and knew his options were really limiting. He just needed to hold onto her for a while and just hope that Strange is around to answer sooner or later. That is if this woman actually was from another universe, so...
Peter decided to take precautions just to be safe with this stranger. He walked down the hall and saw Mayday was putting away the science kit on her shelves. Her room was almost a perfect mix of science and fantasy with a few princess dolls and figurines everywhere. The brains of her father and the heart of her mother, she truly was the best of both him and MJ.
"Hey, May," Peter called to her as Mayday was about to crawl into bed. "Why don't you come and sleep with me?"
"Why?" May was a little confused by the request.
"Just come on. Please." Peter asks of her.
"Alright." Mayday was a bit confused but just decided to go along with the request.
The apartment then went to sleep, with all of the residents sleeping well. It was probably one of the few oddest nights any of them have had, but they were all good people just trying to make the best out of the odd situation.
Back in Andalasia, Pip had found Edward and informed him of what happened to Giselle and he was quick to act. It was a bit hard to find him considering everyone was keeping animals out of the castle. But he managed to find and tell him everything and he was quick to act. Edward ran and leaped into the well himself and dived to find his beloved. He drew his sword out and dived straight into the well to find out what happened to her.
"Giselle, I will rescue you!" Edward proclaimed as he kept falling.
Pip was right behind him as he was falling with his arms flaring to try and grab onto something. "Yeah, but who's gonna rescue me?!"
Edward came flying out of the manhole in New York and found there was a group of people who were trying to close it up, wondering why it was opened. When he came flying out, he landed on the railing around the workers who were all confused.
"Is this that Black Knight guy?" One of them asks.
"No, that dude lives in England, doesn't he?" One of the others asks.
"Whoa, okay!" The worker panicked.
"Hey, buddy! You ain't..."
"Silence!" Edward then drew his sword and aimed it at one of their necks, causing the, to flinch and raise their hands in response. "Your name, peasant! Quickly!"
"Arty." He tells him his name.
"Are you in league with the wicked hag who sent my Giselle to this dreadful place, Arty?" Edward asks.
The worker had no idea how he was supposed to respond to that and stuttered. But they then heard screaming from the sewers as Pip came flying out and was caught by Edward.
"Is this man in conspiracy with the wicked hag, chipmunk?" Edward asks him.
But Pip took a second to look over himself, taking the appearance of a real chipmunk. But when he started to try and talk, morning but squeaks and chirps came out. He was shocked to hear that no voice was coming and kept trying to talk.
"Aw, look at him." Edward didn't see anything wrong. "Speechless in my presence." He then raised his blade to the man again. "What say you, sir? Don't try my patience."
"What are you talking about?" He asks as Edward leaped down and shoved him against a van.
"I seek a beautiful girl," Edward explains to him. "My other half, my one coquette, the answer to my love's duet.
"Yeah, I'd like to find one of them too." He admitted.
Edward seemed to like that answer as he drew his sword back and let him go. "Then keep a wary eye out, Arty." Then he looked at the chipmunk and knew they had a lot of ground to cover. "Come along, Pip!"
Edward then went running and even climbed on top of a lot of cars as he was searching for Giselle. But he wasn't met without a lot of complaints from drivers, who were just used to this sort of thing, yet were still annoyed by it constantly happening.
"So, who do we call for that? The Avengers or the mental asylum?" One of the workers asks.
"Not quite sure." One of them admitted.
"Did you see that chipmunk?" Arty asks his workers.
Back at the Parker apartment, Giselle was starting to wake up and sat up on the couch. She then started to look around and noticed how filthy the apartment was currently. Peter didn't have much time in the night to clean up and would usually take care of it in the mornings or would ask someone to help him.
"Oh, my," Giselle said as she clicked her tongue. "This just won't do."
Getting an idea in mind to show her thanks to these generous people, she smiled and jumped to her feet as she made her way to the window. Quickly figuring out how it opens, finding out it's similar to the ones she has at home. She then opened it up and let out a vocalized call to the city, similar to what she did back home.
She got a call back in vocalization, but instead of the animals that she is used to. Instead of beautiful birds, rabbits, deer, and a dozen other beautiful forest creatures, she was left with New York's sewer rats, flies from street vendors, and a bunch of other creatures like that.
Giselle was looking around the apartment and picked up a newspaper that was talking about Victor Von Doom. She looked it over and saw how it talked about the Leader of Latveria when she then was met with a dozen of the creature, crawling out of the holes and entrances, including the windows which a pigeon ran into.
"Oh, my goodness. Are you all right?" Giselle asks in worry.
The pigeon however got up and shrugged it off. Giselle was happy to see that when she looked around the room and looked at the creatures. These definitely not what she was used to getting, but she wasn't going to just push them away.
"Hello," Giselle said as she eyed the all. "Well, it's always nice to make new friends." She then clapped her hands and wanted this place to look nice for them. "All right, everyone. Let's tidy things up."
All of the animals quickly started to go around and clean up various locations as Giselle picked up a dust brush and started dusting a few of the artifacts. The pigeons and rats were at work cleaning the dishes as cockroaches were cleaning the floor.
"Come, my little friends, as we all sing a happy little working song. Merry little voices clear and strong." Giselle started to sing as she danced around the room. "Come and roll your sleeves up, so to speak, and pitch in." She then rolled up the sleeves of her dress before picking up a brush and sweeping. "Cleaning crud up in the kitchen as we sing along. Trill a cheery tune in the tub as we scrub a stubborn mildew stain."
A few pigeons were helping as they were then cleaning up the counters and sweeping everything into the trash. Meanwhile, in the bathroom, cockroaches were coming out of the bath drain and cleaning everything off of it. A smaller mouse was however using his tail to pluck the hair from the drain.
"Pluck a hairball from the shower drain. To that gay refrain of a happy working song." Giselle sang as she picked up the mouse and took the hair from his tail. "We'll keep singing without fail otherwise we'd spoil it. Hosing down the garbage pail and scrubbing up the toilet!"
A pigeon opened up a garbage can for the flies to fly over and squeezed in a cloth. A dozen of rats were using the toothbrushes of the family to scrub down the toilet, not aware of what they were doing. One of them seemed to have slipped and managed to fall into the toilet.
Giselle came skipping out of the closet as a few of the pigeons managed to get the vacuum running. "How we all enjoy letting loose with a little "la da dum dum dum"." As she sang, a few of the cockroaches managed to get sucked into the vacuum. "While we're emptying the vacuum up." She opened the cleaner and helped the cockroaches out of the bag. "It's such fun to hum a happy working song!"
"Ooh!"
"A happy working song!" Giselle sang as she walked over and opened the windows to the small balcony that came with the apartment. "Oh, how strange a place to be 'til Edward comes for me my heart is sighing." But she then started to think of the good that could come with it. "Still, as long as I am here I guess a new experience could be worth trying." She then looked and noticed the rats were slacking and got them back to work. "Hey! Keep drying!"
The rats were wiping the microwave down while a cockroach was squeezing the cleanser to help clean it up.
"You can do a lot when you've got such a happy working tune to hum." Giselle kept singing as a dozen roaches were carrying empty food containers into the trash bag. Something that a pigeon was carrying and flying around to keep cleaning. "While you're sponging up the soapy scum. We adore each filthy choir that we determine. So friends, even though you're vermin we're a happy working throng."
A few of the pigeons accidentally ran into one another, breaking a few dishes. The noise managed to awaken Mayday, who jumped up and looked around. She looked and noticed her dad was still asleep and decided to leave him, knowing he didn't get much sleep. But when she started to hear the music filling the air, she was getting a little curious about what she was hearing.
Opening the door to the bedroom, Mayday was shocked when she noticed two rats carrying detergent toward the laundry room. "Singing as we fetch the detergent box." Then she missed a pigeon coming flying past and landing a sock on her head. "For the smelly shirts and the stinky socks."
Mayday pulled the sock off her head and was getting seriously lost on what was going on. She just decided to go for the heart and walked over to the living room where she saw Giselle singing and the animals doing work with her.
"Sing along! If you can not sing then hum along!" Giselle kept going as a few of the animals hummed. "As we're finishing our happy working song!"
Mayday then ran off as she thought her dad should see how amazing this was.
"Aah!" Giselle finished her song and sat down on the couch. "Wasn't this fun?"
Mayday made it to the bedroom and jumped o the bed where she started to shake him. "Daddy. Wake up."
"Huh?" Peter moaned out as he got up. "What? What's happening?"
"Come on, you've gotta come to see this," Mayday said as she dragged him out of bed.
"What's happening?" Peter questions.
"I can't tell you. You have to come see!" Mayday stated as he got back up.
"Okay. Okay. I'm coming." Peter moaned as he was dragged into the living room.
"Look!" Mayday says, but when they got there all they saw were the animals with no Giselle in sight.
Peter was shocked when he saw the animals, not even noticing how clean the apartment looked. He was just shocked and worried about what people would think if they ever saw this many animals inside his apartment.
"Oh, god." Peter immediately panicked as he knew he couldn't let anyone see the place like this. "Get out!"
He started to work in a frenzy as he tried to shove the cockroaches off of the counters. Mayday tried to help as she picked up a few ears by their tails.
"What do I do with them?" Mayday wasn't quite sure what to do in this predicament.
"Just...get them outside," Peter said as he shooed the pigeons out the window. "Come on, get the door."
Mayday quickly opened the front door and Peter led the rats and roaches out of the door. "Watch out!"
Mayday stayed out of the way as he watched as they all stampede for the door and left. As soon as he got them all out, Mayday shut the door and they were left bewildered by what had just occurred. Neither of them were sure if this was their casual Parker luck or if it was some sort of
