Peter and Mayday stayed near the door after getting all the animals out of their home and wondered what to do. Neither knew if this was just their usual Parker luck that just came for a spring cleaning, or...
And that's when Peter actually got a look at the place and was a little surprised. He didn't mean for the place to just fall apart, but he rarely has time to even stay home and clean with everything going on in the city.
"Wow." Peter looked around in surprise as he stood up. "Gotta take the good with the madness, I guess."
Then they started to hear humming and water running, causing them to look over towards the bathroom. It was just next to the doorway, just next to the doorframe where they currently were. That gave both Peter and May the impression that this was indeed Giselle, considering she wasn't around and the door was still locked from the inside.
"Stay there," Peter asks of Mayday and walked to the bathroom.
Knocking on the door, he heard the shower head turn off. Then it was followed by Giselle's voice in a sing-songy tone.
"Hello?" Peter called into the room.
"Come in!" Giselle invited the knocker with no sight of objection.
Yep, definitely Giselle. Nobody he could even imagine would be this happy in the morning. Peter then opens the door to the bathroom, where he froze when he noticed Giselle exiting the shower. Thankfully there were two doves there holding a towel for her, but then he wondered why there were birds in the bathroom. Yet again, after everything, that is the least strange thing to have occurred today.
"Oh, good morning, Peter!" Giselle was thrilled when she saw it was Peter, who tried to stay respectful and looked away. The pigeons wrapped the towel around Giselle and stayed around her. "Oh, that's too thoughtful of you! Thank you." And with that, the pigeons perched themselves up on the shower curtain. She then spun to face Peter with her hair suddenly done, making him wonder who did that so fast. "Oh, I hope you had nice dreams."
"Uh...I'm not entirely sure I'm not still in one." Peter had to admit that this was a strange scenario, even reaching up with that Nightmare War with that Demon and Doctor Strange.
"This is a magical room," Giselle said as she looked at the shower, making Peter wonder how she knew how to use it. "Where does the water come from?"
"Uh, well, the water comes from the pipes," Peter explains as he walked over to turn off the water.
Giselle then undoes her hair and lets it flow. "Where do the pipes get it?"
Peter sighed as he figured that would be a bit hard to explain and decided to go with the best answer. "It's complicated."
"Oh," Giselle said, seemingly accepting that answer and looking around, bedazzled by everything. "It is magical."
Meanwhile, outside the doorway, Mayday was leaning against it and trying to listen to what was happening. But then there was a knock at the door and Mayday went over to see who it was. Leaning on the door and reaching up to look through the peephole and sees it was Liz Allen. That's when Mayday realized she wasn't using her footstool and looked down to realize she was clinging to the door. She was freaked out when she suddenly slipped and landed on her feet, no injuries or anything of the sort.
Opening the door, Liz stood there and was expecting Peter, but looked down and smiled when she saw Mayday. "Hey there, missy."
"Hi, Liz." Mayday greeted her, a little worried.
"What do you say? Ready to head out?" Liz asks as she walked in and was expecting Peter to be running around in a frenzy. Then she looked down and noticed she wasn't even ready to head out. "Honey, why are you still in your pajamas? Where's your dad?"
"It's been pretty crazy around here," Mayday admitted with a laugh.
But Liz didn't seem to get the joke as she was surprised when she looked around. She noticed how clean the place was, which looked a lot better than the last few times she's been over. "Whoa, the place looks great. Did Jameson finally give your dad a raise for a maid?"
"No. Not exactly." Mayday laughed at the guess.
Back in the bathroom, Peter was wiping up the water that Giselle made when she stepped out of the shower. She stood over him and watched without a worry in the world, which was starting to slightly get on Peter's nerves. It's just not something that he was used to, so it was something that he didn't exactly know how to react to it.
"Don't worry, my friends will do that," Giselle assured Peter and started to vocalize.
But that turned into a mistake as the pigeons jumped and ended up smacking Peter in the face. Peter was trying to stand just when he was hit and ended up falling, followed by grabbing onto Giselle and falling out of the bathroom. Peter fell to the ground on his back, Giselle landed on top of him and caused Peter to groan.
"Oh!" Giselle didn't see anything wrong and just laughed.
"Okay, that happened." Peter groaned as he was never taken down by a pigeon before.
That's when Mayday and Liz walked into the hallway to see what was happening. And the sight before them was Peter laying on the ground whilst Giselle, who was wearing only a towel, was on top of him.
Peter looked over to the doorway and saw the confused and shocked Liz. "Liz!"
"Oh, hello." Giselle stood up, still not realizing something was wrong.
"Who is this?" Liz asks as she gestured to Giselle.
"I'm Giselle!" Giselle introduced herself as she got up and walked over to greet Liz.
"This is nobody." Peter knew he was going to be ripped a new one for this. "Nothing was happening."
"I was on my way to the castle to get married-" Peter quickly tried to stop her from going further.
"Married?" Liz aka in confusion and looked to Peter.
"No, she's not." Peter did his best to explain and looked at her. "Giselle, please, give us a minute?" He looked and notices Mayday was watching everything. "Mayday, please get her to the guest room."
"She's married?" Liz asks Peter.
"No, not yet." Peter tried his best to help his case.
"What do you mean yet?" Liz questions as Mayday led Giselle to the guest room.
"She was lost." Peter kept trying his case, digging a deeper hole for himself. "I was just helping her."
"Find the shower?" Liz questions.
"The shower is wonderful, Liz!" Giselle cried from down the hall.
"Thank you very much." Peter was trying to keep his cool. "May."
Mayday got Giselle into the room and closed the door. Peter sighed and tried to pull himself together just as Liz started to march for the door. Peter jumped and rushed to try and stop and defend his case.
"Liz, Liz! Wait!" Peter pleaded for her to stop and take her around the room. "Can we talk?"
"Talk about what, Peter?" Liz asks as she marched around into the living room. "How I never stayed the night? Because we both agreed, Mayday's here, and you have to maintain boundaries and I thought, I'm so lucky, he's sensitive." Then she paced back and forth. "I didn't realize you were worried about crowd control."
Peter honestly would have responded, if part of that wasn't exactly false considering everything. He has Avengers over sometimes, he has to sneak inside as Spider-Man (something he planned to reveal soon), and there's a chance of some villain coming in and attacking. Loki once swapped bodies with him and tried to break into the Avengers' rank as him.
"You know, that is a little too close to home," Peter muttered to himself, immediately mentally slapping himself for that.
Liz marched off past Peter and he decided to not keep going and just stood there, not even going to try it this time around. He already dug the hole too deep in the last five minutes. There was no way he was gonna dig his way out and would need to wait for it to fill up. Liz walked out and slammed the door on her way out.
Peter turned to the doorway between the hall and living room and smacked his head against the wall. Mayday walked over to her father and watched him slowly smack his head against the wall.
"Daddy?" Mayday was starting to worry for her father.
Peter sighed and quickly pulled up a brave face and knew he needed to go. "Get ready for school." He then ran to the door and went for a last-second attempt. "I'll be back."
Liz had already made it down the building by the time Peter decided to take a shortcut. Instead of running or waiting for the elevator, he jumped out of the window where he landed in the alleyway near the fire escape. He ran over to try and catch her, but even he was fast enough since Liz was already gone.
Peter was starting to become agitated and looked upward at the sky. "Did I do something to offend you? Not even recently, I just mean in a past life or something. You seem to love to pick on me for doing the right thing."
Peter was having enough of this and couldn't stand it anymore. Everything started to become hectic when taken in the girl, so he needed to be rid of her. Whether she was crazy or not, she needed to go. Giving Strange another attempt, it only ended with another voicemail.
Knocking on the door to the guest room, he waited to hear from Giselle. "Hello?"
"Okay, look, I'm sorry, but I need you to go." Peter was sorry it came this far so fast, but he couldn't keep this up. "I don't know what your deal is if you actually are waiting for this Prince Charming to come..."
"Prince Edward." Giselle corrected him.
"Right, whatever." Peter groaned as he rubbed his head. "I'll get you to a train, a plane, wherever you need, but that's it. I can't do this anymore."
But then the door opens and reveals Gisselle is wearing a cyan short-sleeved gown with a dark cyan ribbon at the center of her bodice and a white line on the front dress skirt. She still wearing the boots from her wedding dress, and her long hair is accessorized with a red and yellow ribbon with pink straps hanging loose, putting her hair into a messy bun.
"What the..." Peter didn't even know what to think as Giselle skipped down the hall. "What?" He then started to follow Giselle down the hall to the living room. "Where did you even get this?"
"I made it," Giselle explains. Peter then reached the living room and froze when he saw that the curtains that once kept the outside world from seeing into his home were now cut. "Do you like it?"
Peter just stood there frozen as he saw she had used his curtains to make a gown for herself. Yet again, it was a better idea than running around in that wedding dress. If he was even going to be leaving the house with her, that wedding dress was going to draw a little too much attention.
Peter however just sighed and walked towards the curtains, still annoyed and angry but trying to keep his calm. "This...it...honestly, after everything, this is toned down compared to it all."
"Oh, you are unhappy." Seemed Giselle was capable of noticing things. "I am so sorry."
"I'm not unhappy," Peter finally admitted. "I'm angry."
"Angry?" Giselle questions.
"It's an unpleasant emotion," Peter informed her in annoyance. "Ever heard of it?"
"Oh, I have heard of it, but I..." Giselle started when Peter intercepted her.
"You have created a completely unnecessary problem with Liz." Peter proclaimed in annoyance. "Something that I now have to resolve. See, the fact is, I was just getting ready to take a very serious step forward. I was going to propose, actually."
"Oh!" Giselle seemed thrilled at the news.
"Except, now she's got it in her mind that you and I..." Peter tried to find the best way to explain it.
"Kissed?" Giselle tried to help and was shocked to hear.
Peter scoffed and wasn't going further than that. "Yeah, something like that."
"Oh, no." Giselle was sorry to hear that, but then she came up with what she saw as a solution. "You should sing to her!"
Peter couldn't help but laugh when he heard that. "Sing to her?"
"And maybe that would reassure her of your affections!" Giselle explains as she ran up to Peter and tried to explain it. "You need to rush to her side and hold her in your arms." She then leaned on Peter as he was lost on what was happening. "And then pour your heart out in a beautiful ballad. And then she'll know for sure."
Peter just backed off and looked over Giselle, not sure where anyone could live to turn out like this. Even if she came from some parallel universe or something, there is no way that they could turn up as innocent and pure as her. But he didn't even realize that he ended up looking into her eyes and just stayed there.
"Why are you staring at me?" Giselle was curious to know.
"I don't know," Peter admitted. "It's like you escaped from a fantasy film or something."
"Is that a bad thing?" Giselle was curious to understand.
The two of them just stared as Peter tried to find the right words to describe it. But then he noticed Mayday watching the encounter with her clothes on and backpack, ready to head out.
"School! We're late!" Peter completely forgot he needed to get her to school. "We've got to run!"
Peter then raced for the bedroom while Giselle wasn't sure where to go and ran to follow. But then she stopped beside Mayday as Peter closed the door to change.
"Oh!" Giselle wasn't sure what to do and fumbled with her arms.
Back in Andalasia, Queen Narissa was watching everything going on through a magic water spell of hers. She was able to see everything through every reflection she wished to see how things were going.
"Oh, wouldn't she just love to come crawling back here and steal my crown!" Narissa cried in anger as she stopped the spell. "Cast me aside like so much royal rubbish!" She walked underneath some bushes that Nathaniel was shaping in her image. "What?"
"Perhaps Prince Edward won't find her." Nathaniel didn't seem as worried.
"Perhaps he will!" Narissa cried in anger.
The distraction caused Nathaniel to cut the bushes head off and send it falling. "Oh! Oh, dear."
"Oh..." Narissa tried to catch it and the head went falling down the well. That seemed to give Narissa an idea that would help her. "Oh! I do wish there was someone who cared enough for me to go after him." She acted all defenseless and was catching Nathaniel's attention. "Oh, a man like that, strong and brave, I'd do anything for him."
Nathaniel took the bait and ended up charging for the well. "Never fear, my queen. I will stop him!"
With that, Nathaniel dived into the well and made his way to the other reality.
