So I'm going to try to get as close as the original story as I can while having it make sense. With that said, there's a little surprise at the end of the chapter. With that said, I hope you'll enjoy this chapter!

LEONARDO'S POV

My mind wandered in the stars in the cosmos. I smiled, proud that I had finally mastered the art of meditation after years and years and years of practice with Master Splinter and my family. As I meditated, I reflected on what had occurred throughout my entire life. The mutagen changing all of us into who we are. Splinter training us in the art of ninjutsu. Meeting April, who would eventually marry my brother Donnie and become our sister. Our many run-ins with the Kraang, the Foot Clan, and the Purple Dragons. Our adventures in space. And the adventures that continued with my son Ryan and my nieces Lily, Venus, and Athena. I smiled with content, happy with my life in the moment.

I felt another presence enter the room, but his presence felt concerning.

"Let's wake up, children," I prompted my family.

We all woke up from our meditation and turned to the door to see Donatello entering the dojo.

"Donnie?" I asked with surprise in my voice. "Not that I'm not happy to see you, but what are you doing here? It's morning."

"I'm sorry to intrude Leo," Donnie replied, biting his lip. "But I'm here to see Raph. I have completed my autopsy."

"May we listen in?" I asked. "This concerns all of us."

Donatello pondered for a moment.

"Well, I don't believe it's related to our friendly wasp, but I suppose there's no harm in it."

"So, what happened to Mr. Ashley?" Raph asked, immediately going into detective mode.

"Russell Ashley had died from a traumatic brain injury," Donnie explained. "Carl and I took another look at the security footage from rooms 124 and 123: the biology classroom and the lab respectively. Around the time Penelope entered room 124, an intruder had entered the lab the teacher was, and he or she hit him on the back of the head with a pipe. You would have to investigate that room again to try to find the pipe."

"Noted. Is there anything else?"

"Yes. There was a second person in the lab. That person may have been in the lab the entire time with the teacher. But both intruders tried to bite the teacher before deciding to hit him on the head. I found no teeth marks nor sting marks on the body. These two intruders left, leaving the teacher for dead. One went out the window while the other returned to the classroom."

Donnie paused.

"Raph, I'm thinking the intruder that returned to the classroom was Jeanette, because she appeared from that very door on the camera for room 124. I'd say Jeanette is your primary suspect. But we would need to track down all of the victims of the parasitic wasp and see if they can give us any information… not just on this murder, but also on the epidemic."

"Raph, it sounds like you need help," I chimed in. "And we're all willing to help out."

"We are?" Ryan asked.

"Yes, Ryan, we are," Karai answered sternly.

"I'm going to call April and Lily," Donnie said. "Lily's getting ready for school and she usually leaves early. Maybe we can meet outside of Todayland High School."

"I think that's a wise idea," I replied. "Mikey, would you be willing to help us until you have to leave? Just be warned that Todayland is in Central Time. You'd have to leave an hour early in that time in order to get to work on time."

"Of course, dudes!" Mikey answered enthusiastically. "Family is more important than pizza, yo!"

"Cool," Donnie replied. "And Raph, Cornelius is making arrangements for you to stay in Todayland for however long you need to solve this murder."

Raph scoffed at the idea.

"He doesn't have to do that. I have my job here in New York."

"Raph, this is not a normal murder case," Donnie replied, glaring at him. "And besides, murder hasn't happened in New York in ages, not since Bebop and Rocksteady saved the world."

"Those are six words I never thought I'd hear any of us say," I said with an awkward glance.

"I hear they're doing pretty well. I'm a little bummed they refused the retro-mutagen after all this time."

"You did all you could do, Don. Go call Lily. We'll need her."

LILIANNA'S POV

"Lily, wake up."

I moaned myself awake as I felt shaking. I turned to see my mom waking me up.

"Hey, Dad didn't come in here, did he?" Mom asked.

"No," I answered.

"That's not like your dad to just leave without leaving a note."

"Wait, what?" I asked in alarm, immediately getting up on the bed.

My T-Phone rang, knowing that it was not an alarm. It was someone calling me.

"It's five o'clock in the morning," Mom said in confusion. "Who'd be calling you this early?"

"Uncle Leo," I answered with some sarcasm.

I glanced at the phone and discovered my dad calling.

"We're about to find out, Mom. Hello?"

"Lily, it's Dad. I'm down in the lair telling Uncle Raph the autopsy results. The entire family wants to help Raph find Mr. Ashley's killer and wants to meet you at Todayland High School. Could you meet us there? And could you tell Mom to meet us there too?"

I covered my phone to talk to my mom.

"It's Dad," I explained in a whisper. "He's in the lair and wants to meet us at Todayland High."

"Lily, put him on speaker."

I complied.

"Donatello Hamato, why didn't you wake me up?" Mom yelled.

"Sorry April, I guess I wasn't thinking. But anyway, could you both meet us at the high school in Todayland?"

"Us?"

"The entire family's going to help. We're going to need Lily's advice on this one. She knows more about Todayland than any of us."

"Wait, Dad, why don't we get Wilbur involved too?" I suggested. "He's the one who knows Todayland like the palm of his hand."

"I don't think that's a good idea," Dad replied. "If he gets involved, then Karena's going to want to get involved, and she's a Todayland University student. Her chances of being kidnapped and infected will rise, as will Wilbur's."

"Wait a minute, my chances of being kidnapped would go up too," I said, realizing what my dad was trying to say. "And yet you want my help?"

There was a pause.

"Good point. Alright, you may bring Wilbur with you. Meet us in the gym."

Dad hung up. Mom and I glanced at each other and shrugged.

"Well, let's get dressed and head on over to the high school," Mom suggested. "Maybe we can grab something to eat while we're there."

"Mom, you're aware we'd be at the high school at six in the morning, right? We've got time to eat."

My mom glanced at her T-Phone, and she realized I was right. It was only five-fifteen here in New York State.

"Alright, I'll make some breakfast. Go on and get dressed."

Todayland, North Montana, USA

WILBUR'S POV

My phone rang, waking me up instead of my alarm. I groaned in disbelief, not thrilled that someone other than Carl was waking me up. I glanced at my phone and put a perplexed expression on my face. Lily was calling me.

"Hello?" I answered groggily.

"Wilbur, it's Lily. Can you meet me and my family in the gym at seven?"

I glanced at my alarm clock on the nightstand. It was six-thirty in the morning.

"Why so early?"

"Uncle Raph and my dad found a body at the high school yesterday, and my dad spent last night autopsying it. The death has been ruled a murder, and they want us to talk about it."

"Well, that's fantastic," I replied sarcastically. "Not only do we have a parasitic wasp roaming around Todayland, but now there's a killer among us."

"Wilbur… just get there at seven!"

I rolled my eyes. I could tell from Lily's tone that she was getting impatient.

"Okay, geez. I'll see you then."

I got out of bed, took the levitation platform down to the first floor, and changed into my signature outfit. I went back up to my bed, grabbed my phone, and sent my mom a text.

"I won't be able to meet you guys for breakfast. The Turtles need me at the high school. I'll see you later. I love you."

I grabbed my car keys and made my way to the high school. I made my way to the empty gym and walked around. Suddenly, twelve pink doors appeared, and I jumped at the noise. I was in awe at who all appeared. Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo appeared first. The next people to show were women… well, at least most of them. I recognized April, Karai, and Renet. But it took me time to remember the last one. The last woman was a genetically-enhanced salamander, and then I recognized her as Mona Lisa, Raphael's wife. Last, but not least, the children appeared: Lilianna, Ryan, Venus, and Athena.

"Okay, not gonna lie; that was awesome!" I told the entire Hamato family with excitement.

"Now you know how I feel," Lily replied with a gapped-tooth grin and a wink.

"So you all came to talk about this murder that happened?"

"Yes," Don replied. "Mr. Ashley was murdered in the science lab in room 123 Friday afternoon."

"Mr. Ashley is DEAD?!" I yelled out in shock. "What the shell?!"

I was met with weird glances from everybody.

"What?"

"I think you just became a part of the family just for saying that," Lily said with a chuckle.

"Anyway, while autopsying his body, I examined the security footage in rooms 123 and 124," Don continued. "Mr. Ashley was hit on the head with a blunt object, a pipe. Raph will need to return to room 123 to try to find it."

"Meanwhile, you are all here to help us find all of the people under the influence of the wasp," Raph continued. "According to reliable sources…"

Raph paused to glance at me, and he gave me a firm nod.

"There are eight people missing. Finding Jeanette Roland is our top priority, as she is currently my primary suspect. Jeanette was present in room 124 when Mr. Ashley was harmed."

"Penelope was there also," Don chimed in. "So we'll need to find her too."

"Uncle Raph, Uncle Donnie, Todayland is huge," Athena chimed in. "How will we find them?"

"We are going to break into teams," Leo answered. "Donnie and Raph will investigate the high school again. Mikey and I will go to the university. Lily, I will let you and Wilbur decide who else will go to what places in Todayland."

Lily met up with me and we discussed it quietly.

"You should go to the arboretum with whomever has the most instinct," I suggested to her. "I can easily see wasps hiding there."

"My mom has the next best instinct of all of us," Lily replied. "We'll go together."

"In the meantime, what can you tell me about the rest of the family?"

"Auntie Mona was born a warrior on the planet of Salamandria. We should send her and Venus to another place of nature."

"There's Sunset Mountain," I suggested. "I know it's a long shot because it's out in the open and there's nothing else there, but the view of the city from there is very beautiful."

"Noted. Okay. Auntie Renet is a Time Master, and she is a teacher at the TIME agency in New York."

"Would she know of all the technology my dad has built?"

"Yes. While it takes her some time to learn, she is good at adapting. We can send her and Athena there."

"Okay. Now who's left?"

"Auntie Karai and Ryan. Auntie Karai, like my mom, is a master kunoichi as well as a mutant human-snake hybrid. Ryan has the same abilities, as well as having the advantage of having turtle physiology. Ryan is the best with stealth."

"We'll send Karai and Ryan into the city," I suggested. "With snake in their blood, they must have heightened senses of smell and agility."

"Meanwhile, we'll still have to attend school," Lily replied. "Maybe we can keep a close eye on our classmates."

"Agreed. And Penelope might be in class."

"No, she won't, Wilbur. She hasn't been seen since Friday. She won't be at the high school."

Lily paused, her eyes widening in realization.

"Wilbur, I think I understand what these people are thinking."

"Lily, Wilbur, have you two decided on the other teams?"

We turned back towards Leonardo.

"Hai, Sensei," Lily answered. "Auntie Mona and Venus will head to the outskirts of the city and to Sunset Mountain. Auntie Renet and Athena will cover the western side of the city, and Auntie Karai and Ryan will cover the eastern side. Mom will go to the arboretum since she has the best instincts."

"Who will I go with?" April asked.

"Call Cornelius and have him send Carl to you," Don instructed her. "If you two encounter a wasp, Carl can't get infected."

"And in the meantime, Lily and I will attend our classes as if it was a normal day," I chimed in. "And we'll keep a close eye on these students. Penelope may have infected more."

"So, if we find either a victim or a wasp, what should we do?" Venus asked.

"Immediately come to Todayland University," Leo answered. "That's where this whole thing began."

"However, if you find Jeanette Roland, please call me," Raph instructed us. "Donnie and I want to interrogate her ourselves."

"And because Jeanette was the first to be infected, I want to see if I can get a sample of her blood to make a cure," Don explained.

"Does anyone have any questions?" Leo asked, and we all shook our heads. "Let's move out!"

Lily and I adjourned and went to our usual meeting place.

"Lily, what were you trying to say before your uncle interrupted us?" I asked while waiting in line for breakfast.

"I think I'm starting to understand the virus a little," Lily explained. "When a parasitic wasp stings someone, the wasp dies and the person becomes a host and a protector its egg. That is all that person will think about. It took a month for Jeanette to find Penelope and bite her. But there's a good chance Jeanette infected everyone else in that span of time by biting them, passing the virus to them."

"And thus creating a hive," I finished in astonishment.

"Exactly."

"Lily, you have psychic powers. Can't you try to get in Jeanette's mind like you did the Magician's mind?"

"I could try, but it's going to be tricky. Jeanette won't be in her right mind. And besides, I don't even know Jeanette."

"Okay. Have you been practicing your powers?"

"Yes, and I spent the past month using my powers to fly."

I shook my head, unsure if I heard my friend correctly.

"I'm sorry, you can fly?"

"Yes, with lots of concentration. If I can fly to a certain altitude, I can hear voices, and then I can single one voice out and concentrate on her."

"That's going to take a lot of concentration," I replied, feeling worried. "Are you sure you are capable of doing this?"

"I can try."

"Lily, remember what you told me," I replied with a smirk. "Do or do not. There is no try."

"So you did pay attention," Lily said, returning the smirk.

"Yeah, I did. And right now, you're doubting yourself. You told me to have confidence in myself. Now I'm telling you to be confident. You can do it."

"Alright, let's do it."

LILIANNA'S POV

Wilbur and I walked outside to the back of the school. But we found more students driving into the lot.

"Wilbur, we need to find an isolated spot so no one sees me flying," I told my friend.

"Come! Let's go to the driver's ed area."

I followed him to an isolated driving area.

"This will work," I said before letting out a sigh. "Wish me luck."

I closed my eyes and started to meditate on my powers. I imagined myself flying, and before I knew it, I felt myself getting off the ground and flying up to where I could see the entire city. I opened my eyes and looked at the city in awe.

"Wow, what a view! But now I need to focus."

I closed my eyes, opening my mind to hear all the voices in the city.

"Okay, Jeanette, where are you?"

At first, I heard the voices of every citizen of the city, which drove me crazy. So I started to focus on Jeanette's appearance: long brown hair, slender, blue eyes, and a young adult. One by one, the voices went away. The only voice I eventually heard was Jeanette's.

"The egg is going to hatch very soon," I heard Jeanette in her mind. "I must pass my teachings on to Penelope. She will be the new queen of this hive."

"Keep talking, Jeanette."

"I will find her in the arboretum. That's where the hive is."

I gasped, and so did she.

"Someone is in my mind. I MUST FIND HER!"

"Oh no!"

I lost my concentration, and I felt myself falling. I screamed.

"WILBUR!"

"Lily!" Wilbur screamed back. "Remember your training!"

"You're going to have to break my fall!" I yelled back. "I'm falling too fast!"

I watched Wilbur prepare himself to catch me. I landed right in his arms, but we both fell to the ground. We both let out cries of pain.

"Wilbur, are you okay?" I asked.

"I… I think so," my friend answered, and then he winced. "But my elbows really hurt."

"Let me see."

I walked behind him and discovered he scraped both elbows in catching me and breaking my fall.

"Let me try something."

I took a step back and put my hands together. I started a chant and moved my hands to their correct positions.

"Rin. Pyo. Toh. Sha. Kai. Jin. Retsu. Zai. Zen."

I then placed both my hands on Wilbur's elbows.

"Rin. Pyo. Toh. Sha. Kai. Jin. Retsu. Zai. Zen."

I took a step back. Wilbur examined his elbows and let out a loud gasp. They were healed, and I blew a sigh of relief.

"How did you do that?" Wilbur asked with a frightened look on his face. "What did you do?"

"It's a healing mantra Uncle Leo taught me," I explained. "I didn't think I'd learn enough of it to heal you though."

"So it's an ancient technique?"

"Exactly that. It's supposed to only be used if there is no cure, but I don't like seeing people in pain."

I let out a loud gasp, realizing what was going to happen.

"I need to call my parents!"

"Why?"

"The hive is in the arboretum," I explained. "I was able to tap into Jeanette's mind. The first egg is about to be hatched and she's going to pass her queen title down to Penelope. And unfortunately…"

I bit my lip.

"Jeanette's now coming for me."

"What?"

Wilbur put a look of determination on his face.

"Okay, we're going to see your dad right now. Call your mom."

I did not hesitate to dial my mom.

"Hello?"

"Mom, the wasp hive is at the arboretum," I boldly told her.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. I found Jeanette's mind. She was originally heading to the arboretum because an egg is about to hatch. But now she's coming for me. Wilbur's taking me to Dad right now."

"Okay, I'll see what I can do. Do you think all of the infected are in the arboretum?"

"I'm not positive. But certainly not Jeanette."

"Be safe, Lily."

"You too, Mom."

I hung up as Wilbur continued to lead me through the high school to the science classroom downstairs.

"Donatello!" Wilbur yelled.

DONATELLO'S POV

I jerked at the yelling of my name.

"Who said that?" Raph asked, giving me a shrug.

I ventured outside the classroom to find Wilbur and Lily heading towards me.

"Don, we need to talk to you," Wilbur said with a firm look on his face.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Dad, I was able to mentally contact Jeanette with my powers," Lily explained. "The hive is in the arboretum. Mom already knows. But Jeanette sensed me in her mind and now she's coming for me."

"What?" Raph yelled.

"Wait, this is good," I replied with my gap-toothed grin.

"What?" Wilbur and Lily asked at the same time.

"How?" Wilbur asked angrily. "Lily's in danger now!"

"Lily is here right now," I explained. "And she is not alone. Jeanette will not want to be in a crowded place unless her intent is to spread the virus to someone. On the other hand, we need her. Lily, go to the office and let the secretary know that Cornelius needs you for an important assignment. Then come back and try to tap into Jeanette's mind again. We need to draw her in here and trap her."

"What should I do?" Wilbur asked.

"Go ahead and go to class," Raph instructed him. "But be wary."

The teenage boy nodded and walked away.

"Donnie, we're going to have to call the others and tell them to join April at the arboretum."

"I agree. Let's call. Why don't you call Leo and Mona? I'll call Renet and Karai."

Raph and I took a break from investigating and made the calls to our family. Once everyone got the word to join April at the arboretum, Lily returned from the office.

"The secretary apparently needed permission from Cornelius himself to give me excused absences all day," Lily said, rolling her eyes. "I had to talk to him on the phone explaining everything."

"How exactly did you tap into Jeanette's mind?" Raph asked.

"Well, I don't know Jeanette, so Wilbur encouraged me to use my powers to single her voice out among thousands. I used my powers to fly and find it. Once I found her mind, she gave me some valuable information. Unfortunately, it also meant that she knew where I was."

I placed my hands on my daughter's shoulders and smiled at her.

"Hey, you've done more than you know and I am proud of you. I know this is a lot for me to ask of you, but we'll need you to lure Jeanette here. Tap into her mind again and try to let her know where you are at."

Lily shrugged and returned the smile.

"Well, at least now I know how to find her mind," she replied. "But Dad? Please be careful."

I kissed her on her forehead. I watched as she closed her eyes and concentrated.

"Jeanette, I know you are trying to find me. My name is Lilianna Hamato, the daughter of Donatello, one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We want to help you. I am in the science classroom on the bottom floor at Todayland High School."

"Hey Donnie, get in here for a sec!"

Lily and I ran into the lab. We found Raph with a pipe in his hands.

"Do you think this is the pipe, Donnie?" Raph asked. "I see blood on it."

"Let me collect a sample."

I grabbed some tools from my bag and collected a sample of the blood. I also dusted the pipe for fingerprints. I was thankful Raph was wearing gloves so that he didn't contaminate the evidence.

"Now, I'm going to analyze these samples under one of these microscopes," I said with a grin. "Raph, we're going to need some sort of database that contains the fingerprints of the infected victims."

Raph let out a loud groan.

"Well, that means I have to go talk to our favorite chief."

"Chief McDimples has the database?" Lily asked. "You really dislike her, don't you?"

"It's not that I don't like her," Raph explained. "She's hard to work with."

"Well, at least I can analyze the blood while you get that database," I replied, putting a sample of blood on the dish.

We watched Raph leave through the window.

"Is there anything else I can do, Dad?" Lily asked.

"When Jeanette shows up, I'm going to need your help holding her down. You brought your chains with you, right?"

"I brought them in my backpack!" my blue-eyed daughter answered with confidence before her smile quickly disappeared. "And it's in my locker."

"Go get them, Lily. We need both of our chains here."

LILIANNA'S POV

I left the classroom and went up the stairs to the third floor to my locker. Using the eye scanner to open my locker, I got into my backpack and grabbed the chains. I closed my locker and proceeded to head back to the lab down on the first floor.

"Lilianna Hamato."

I froze and turned around. I saw a young woman with blackened eyes and brown hair wearing a purple dress.

"Jeanette?"

"I don't know how you got into my mind, but perhaps you can be of use to us."

"Jeanette, you're sick," I replied, preparing myself to catch her with my chains. "Let me help you. My dad can create a cure for the virus with your blood."

"NO! It is useless to resist! The egg will hatch and the hatchling will feed on us all!"

"Not if I can help it!"

I reached my back to grab my bo staff, only to find out I didn't have it on me.

"Uh-oh."

I winced as Jeanette charged towards me, and my brain quickly displayed her moves in front of me. As I dodged her moves, I took out my phone and called my father.

"Donatello."

"Dad, it's me. Jeanette found me by my locker! We're locked in combat!"

"Use the chains to trap her!"

"Can you at least come up here and help? Jeanette's tougher than she looks."

"Well, perhaps I can get a sample of her blood up there. I'm coming."

Jeanette and I continued to fight, but I noticed her moves were sloppy. Thankfully, I saw every move coming and I dodged them all. Unfortunately for me, she dodged my chains every time I tried to trap her.

"Hey, Jeanette!"

She turned around. I let out a small gasp when I saw my dad on the opposite side, ready to strike with his bo staff.

"Leave my daughter alone!" Dad sternly told her.

Jeanette charged toward my dad. He, too, was able to dodge all of her moves. I focused on the two of them, preparing myself to choose the perfect moment to throw the chains. Then, I thought of an idea.

"Dad, toss me your chains!"

In one swift move, my father tossed his chains and I caught them with ease. Using a combination of my ninjutsu, cheerleading, and dance skills, I used the two chains to trap Jeanette.

"Good, Lily!" Dad encouraged me. "Now hold her tight. I need her to stay still to get her blood."

I held an infected Jeanette by the chain as my dad prepared a syringe.

"AAAHHH!"

I screamed and I looked down at my right hand. Just as I realized that Jeanette had bitten me, my dad inserted the syringe in her neck.

"I'm sorry, Jeanette, but this is for your own good," Dad told her.

"Daddy? I've been bitten. Jeanette bit my right hand."

My dad let out a small gasp and then took a look at my hand.

"Lily, I'd like to take some of your blood too. Is that okay?"

I took a look at my dad's face, and it was full of concern. I put a look of determination on my face and gave him a firm nod.

"Do what you need to do, Dad. I trust you."

My dad smiled at me. He prepared another syringe along with an alcohol pad. He rubbed the pad into my left forearm, stabbed me with the syringe, and collected my blood.

"Okay, now Lily, when you turn, I'm going to have to knock you out before giving you the cure."

"Okay, Dad. Do you have to collect everybody's blood to cure them?"

"No. Only Jeanette's is needed because she was the first infected. However, I collected yours because you're special. You are a mutant hybrid, and more importantly, you're April's daughter. Your mother's DNA was the key to making retro-mutagen. I have to believe your DNA will make an impact too."

I smiled, once again being reminded that my dad always had faith in me. My smile then faded, guilty of how I have treated him.

"Dad, I'm sorry for everything. I think... I've been taking you for granted lately. I love you so much."

"Lily, let's focus on curing you and Jeanette, okay? I can carry Jeanette back to the science classroom. Are you able to walk?"

"Yeah, I can."

I followed my dad and Jeanette down the stairs. I started to feel dizzy.

"Dad? I'm not thinking straight."

"Lily, please hang on a little longer," Dad replied. "Just focus."

I grunted in pain.

"Dad, I can't! Get Jeanette out of here!"

WILBUR'S POV

The bell rang, signifying the end of class. I took out my phone and discovered that I had a voicemail from Don.

"Wilbur, it's Donatello. We found Jeanette, but Lily's been infected. When you get this, please try to find her. I'll be in the lab trying to cure both Jeanette and Lily. I believe in you, Wilbur. Please be careful."

"No!" I yelled.

I did not hesitate to call Karena.

"Hello?"

"Karr, it's Wilbur. Lily got bitten."

"What?!"

"I'm going to try to find Lily in the high school. Could you keep an eye out at the university?"

"Sure. Be careful, Wilbur."

"You too, Karr."

We hung up. The first place I went to was the pool, where Lily and I had our first true discussion. After I entered the area, I had a strong instinct that she was in here.

"Wilbur Robinson."

I turned towards Lily's voice, and I was instantly brought back to that day. The only thing she wore was her purple lace lingerie, revealing all of her muscles. But this time, I knew she wasn't in her right mind. Her eyes were completely black.

"Lily, you're sick," I told her. "I need to take you to your dad. He can help you."

"I can read your mind, Wilbur Robinson," a sick Lily replied. "Donatello may be able to save Jeanette, but he won't be able to save everybody. Our hive is powerful, and once we wipe out the Turtles, we will thrive!"

"Okay, this is the one time I wish I had super powers!" I yelled. "SNAP OUT OF IT!"

"I love the new me, Wilbur Robinson," Lily replied seductively. "I was hoping you would too."

"Nice try, Lily, it won't work. And besides, what would James think?"

Lily paused at the mention of my best friend's name. It gave me the perfect opportunity to tackle her to the ground. To my horror, she tried to bite me!

"Lily, I hope you'll find it in your heart to forgive me one day."

I threw a punch at her head, and she passed out. Not wanting to bring her to her father in just her lingerie, I grabbed a towel from the rack and put it over her. I carried her out of the pool area and right into the lab.

"Don! I found her."

Donatello and Raphael turned around and gasped at the sight.

"What happened?" Don asked.

"I found Lily by the pool like this and she tried to bite me," I explained. "I'm sorry, Don, but I had to knock her out."

After I set Lily down on a counter, I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"You did what you had to do," Don assured me. "Thankfully, I have found the cures for both Jeanette and Lily."

"Did you find anything about Mr. Ashley's killer?" I asked.

Donatello had a frown on his face, and Raphael carried a grim look on his.

"After scanning the fingerprints on the pipe against the database, we can confirm the fingerprints belong to Jeanette Roland," Don answered. "I also analyzed the blood found on the pipe and I found two different blood types. One type obviously belonged to Mr. Ashley. And Wilbur, I'm sorry to say that the other one belongs to Denise Taylor. Denise was the other figure in the security footage. She may have gotten hurt on accident."

"So we'll need to interrogate both of them," Raph replied.

"Not so fast, Raph. Both were infected by the wasp. I'll interrogate Jeanette. You're gonna need April to interrogate Denise."

"Is there anything I can do?" I asked. "Or should I return to class?"

"Could you retrieve Lily's clothes from the pool, please?" Donatello asked. "I'd like for her to be decent when she wakes up."

I blushed, immediately understanding of the situation.

LILIANNA'S POV

I stirred myself awake and winced in pain. I discovered my right hand and wrist wrapped in bandages.

"What happened?"

"Lily! You're okay!"

I felt myself being hugged from the side, and I could smell the scent of pine trees. I felt my father kissing me on the cheek.

"I've never been so happy to see my sweet baby girl in my life," Dad said, giving me another hug and kiss.

"I love you too, Dad," I replied sheepishly. "What happened? I don't remember my right hand being in pain."

"Jeanette bit you and you became infected with the parasitica virus," Dad explained. "Thankfully, your blood has helped me find the cure for you. Jeanette's been cured also."

I heard moaning next to me, and I turned to find Jeanette waking up.

"Where am I?" Jeanette asked.

"You are in Todayland High School, Miss Roland," Dad answered. "My name is Dr. Donatello Hamato, and I'd like to ask you some questions. Is that okay?"

I watched Jeanette's reactions to my dad, and I was amazed at how well she was handling herself.

"I must hit myself on the head pretty hard," Jeanette said, putting a hand on her forehead. "I'm seeing a giant turtle?"

My dad chuckled in response.

"How are you feeling, Jeanette?"

"I feel... pretty dizzy."

"Do not worry. You have been cured of a parasitica virus. You will feel fatigued at first, but you'll recover quickly. Do you remember anything that has happened before you were infected?"

"I was trying to head to my first class in Room U-2034 when I suddenly saw this giant wasp! I tried to escape, but I felt stabbing. Everything went black then. I don't remember anything after that."

Dad and I glanced at each other. My dad let out a dad sigh.

"Jeanette, my brother Raphael and I are investigating the murder of Mr. Russell Ashley. And-"

"Mr. Ashley is dead?!" Jeanette asked with shock in her voice. "He was my favorite teacher!"

"I am so sorry for your loss," Dad replied solemnly. "Unfortunately, the odds are not in your favor. We found your fingerprints on the pipe that was used to kill him. Do you remember anything about that?"

"No!" Jeanette answered tearfully. "I... I killed him?"

I studied her behavior this entire time, and I was a firm believer that she was telling the truth. I walked up to her and put a hand on her shoulder.

"Jeanette, I'm Lilianna Hamato. I'm Dr. Hamato's daughter. I'm the one who found your mind."

"Lilianna? Somehow, I remember you. I even remember fighting you. But that's all I remember. I... hope I didn't hurt you."

I glanced down at my wrist.

"It's... no big deal. May I try to enter your mind again? It may help my family find the rest of the infected victims of the parasitic wasp."

"Will it hurt?" Jeanette asked.

"No, I promise it won't."

"If it helps you guys out."

I placed my hands on her head and I looked into her eyes. The doors opened up for me, revealing everything that had happened in the past month. I watched as she found and bit every single victim and gathered them all at the arboretum. When we reached the memory of my fight with her, I screamed, reliving her biting me.

"Lily!" Dad yelled with worry.

We woke up.

"Lily, what did you find?" Dad asked.

"Jeanette bit everybody, Dad. And... I can confirm she was the one who killed Mr. Ashley. But I can also confirm that she was telling the truth: once she woke up from being cured, her memories were stored in the depths of her unconsciousness. She would not have been able to remember anything."

"Does this mean I'm going to jail, Dr. Hamato?" Jeanette asked with fear in her blue eyes.

Dad pondered for a few moments, putting his right hand on his chin.

"You don't remember anything at all?" Dad asked, raising an eyebrow. "Not even where the hive is?"

"No, but I'm sure Lily knows."

"Yes, I know where it is."

Dad pondered some more.

"Jeanette, I'd like to test you tomorrow morning," Dad proposed. "Right now, my prescription for you is a good night's rest. I'd like to meet with you at Robinson Industries at eight o'clock tomorrow morning. Will you be able to do that?"

Jeanette nodded her head.

"Dad, are you going to need me there?"

"Thanks, Lily, but Uncle Raph and I-"

"Actually, Dr. Hamato, could Lily be there with me?" Jeanette requested. "I trust her."

Just as my dad was about to reply, his T-Phone rang.

"Donatello."

I watched my dad's facial expressions as he listened to his caller.

"You've got to be kidding me," Dad replied, putting an angry expression on his face. "It's all gone?"

He let out a sigh.

"This just got a lot more complicated. Well, there's nothing we can do now. I'll see you at home, April. I love you."

He hung up and turned to us with a grim look on his face.

"There's no sign of the wasp, the egg, or the victims in the arboretum."

"WHAT?" Jeanette and I replied in shock.

"Lily, the family's returning to New York for the rest of the day. Your mom and Carl did find evidence that there was a wasp that was nesting there, but the infected destroyed the hive there and relocated. They're smarter than we thought."

"So much for knowing where it's at," I replied, rolling my eyes.

KARENA'S POV

"Lily, aren't you grounded?" I asked as I followed her into the arboretum with flashlights.

"Don't worry," Lily, wearing her vision quest dress, replied with a wink. "I snuck out after my parents fell asleep."

"Lily, your father is a ninja. He's going to find out."

"Don't remind me."

Lily rolled her eyes. We continued on.

"So do you know exactly where the hive was?" I asked. "I remember Wilbur talking to me about what you told him."

"Yes. The hive was deep in this forest. But I don't believe that it all just disappeared. These infected people must have left a clue of some sort."

"Well, if your dad does say something, at least you can tell him you were with an adult," I replied with a smile. "I'm twenty years old."

"Karena, my dad has always figured out the truth one way or another," Lily said with a flat affect. "Heck, not even my mom can get away with lying to him."

We ventured on. It took us two hours before finally reaching the end of the trail.

"We're here," Lily announced.

"Yuck!" I exclaimed, holding my nose. "It smells awful!"

"Yeah, the wasp was definitely here. Let's try to find something that might lead us to the new hive."

"Like what, Lily?"

"Anything out of the ordinary."

I searched high in the trees and low on the ground. Out of the blue, I noticed a flyer on the ground.

"Lily, I found something!"

The red-haired kunoichi ran over to me as I picked up the flyer.

"Serve the Ant Queen," Lily read. "Now hiring bodyguards to protect the Queen from tyranny."

"This doesn't make sense," I said in confusion. "Wilbur mentioned an alternate reality where he dealt with Emperor Stanley and the Ant Queen. But you'd think all the evidence of that would be gone."

"Maybe this reality existed in another dimension?" Lily suggested. "My dad told me of another dimension of the Turtles. But those Turtles would be well in their sixties by now."

Lily paused with an awkward expression.

"But you don't suppose... Wilbur's involved in this?"

I let out a loud gasp.

"No! Why would he?"

"Because Wilbur might be the only one who would know about this flyer," Lily answered with a grim voice. "I'm sorry, Karena, but I think Wilbur knows more than he's telling us."

"Lily, when Wilbur confronted you in the pool today, did you bite him?"

"No, I didn't- wait, the pool? What was I doing in the pool?"

"You have no memory of being in the pool today?" I asked with a surprised voice.

"No. Did I do something stupid?"

"You tried to bite Wilbur, but he was able to knock you out first."

Lily blew a sigh of relief.

"Good! I was worried I had somehow infected Wilbur and he forced the move."

"But this doesn't put Wilbur in the clear?" I asked with worry.

"Correct. Karena, we'll need to talk to Wilbur regarding this flyer."

Lily's T-Phone suddenly rang, and it was extremely loud in such a quiet space. Lily answered it.

"Hello?"

"Lilianna Mae Hamato, where the SHELL are you?" I heard an angry Donatello Hamato yelling in the phone. "It is one o'clock in the morning!"

"Dad, I'm going to be grounded no matter what," Lily replied.

"You ARE grounded, young lady. Where. Are. YOU?"

"I'm in the arboretum in Todayland. But I'm not alone. Karena's with me. We found a clue possibly regarding the hive's new hideout."

"I'm coming over there. Do not. Go. Anywhere!"

Lily looked at her phone and then put it away.

"Well that's just great."

"I told you your dad would find out," I replied.

"Karena, may I confide something in you?" Lily asked, and I nodded. "My dad and I have been fighting a lot lately. We've been fighting since I returned to New York last summer. My mom assures me that it's normal, but lately, I feel that no matter what I do, it's not good enough for my dad."

I frowned and gave my friend a hug.

"I've been in your shoes before. My dad and I fought quite a bit when I was your age. I didn't have a mom when I was a teenager, and my dad was always working. My situation with him was that I felt he never set aside the time to spent quality time with me. I felt more alone than I did at my mom's passing. It got bad to the point where I was looking for apartments to rent after I turned eighteen."

I paused, letting out a sigh.

"Lily, I know your father, and I know how much he loves you. Whenever we would meet in his office or some other place to chat, he always spoke highly of you. This phase you are going through will pass, and you will love your dad more than you did before, and vice-versa. You are his baby, Lily Mae. You always will be his baby, even when you get married. Sure, things will go awry tonight, but it's necessary to help you grow and learn."

Lily looked at me in awe.

"For being twenty years old, you share quite a bit of wisdom. You remind me of Uncle Mikey and Athena. They have the best advice after my parents."

Suddenly, a pink portal opened, and Donatello walked through, putting his hands on his hips.

"I guess I shouldn't be surprised anymore that you would deliberately disobey me and investigate the wasp," Donnie angrily told his daughter.

"Dad, I'm the only one who can figure this out," Lily sternly replied. "Especially now that I've actually been under the influence of the virus. I'm more powerful than you know."

"You may have the power, Lilianna Mae, and you may be the leader of your cousins, but that is not your decision to make. We need to work together to solve this mystery."

Donnie let out a sigh.

"What clue did you find?"

"This."

I handed the flyer to him. His anger turned to confusion as he read it.

"There isn't anything underground as far as I know," Donnie said.

"Donnie, I'm going to hate saying this, but the only one who would know of this is my boyfriend," I replied, shaking my head.

Donnie's expression went from confusion to shock.

"Wilbur? How?"

"Wilbur told me the story of how he messed up history 30 years in the past and changed the timelines on accident. Todayland became Magma City, ruled by Emperor Stanley. The Ant Queen, Lizzy, was born because she blamed Stanley for destroying her project and vice-versa. Lizzy thrived underground with all the ant robots Cornelius made for her while he was her prisoner."

Donnie glanced at me with a saddened expression, and then he glared at his daughter.

"Lily, I do not want you anywhere near Wilbur tomorrow," Donnie told her sternly, pointing a finger at her. "I want to talk to him about this."

"Dad, you need me-"

"No. If you are involved, your emotions will take over, and you will immediately defend Wilbur. I need to interrogate him alone. And besides, you have done enough investigating behind my back."

Donnie turned towards me.

"I'm sorry to say that I don't want you hanging out with Wilbur either, Karena," he told me with a sad expression. "You, too, will have emotions because you are his girlfriend."

"I don't like it, but I understand," I replied, hanging my head down.

"Let's go back home and go to sleep," Donnie suggested. "I'm going to have two long talks tomorrow: one with Lily and one with Wilbur."
