3rd Person (P.O.V)

Shane groaned as he slowly regain consciousness. Opening his eyes he was staring up at the ceiling. "Shane!!". Mia voice came from beside him looking worried.

"Why did you leave?". Shane asked wanting to get straight to the point.

Mia sighed from her seat near Shane. "I didn't have much of a choice back then Shane. There's a lot that I never told you during our relationship. Being with you was the most freedom I've ever had before that it was trying to live up to other expectations coming from an old family even though I didn't know until I was 17 what that meant. My name is Euphemia Lily Potter-Black lady to the most Ancient and Noble houses of Potter and Black". Mia said as Shane looked at her in shock.

Shane felt lightheaded once again, absorbing the fact that his lover, the person he thought he knew during their time together was beyond his league. He himself was a small town deputy while Mia or Euphemia, was the lady two ancient and noble houses even if he didn't understand completely what it meant.

"Who are you?". Shane whispered as he could see the sadness in Mia's eyes.

"I'm your Mia, Shane but I'm more then that. Back in Britain I was raised a child soldier. I lost my parents when I was barely a year and a half, sent to live with my mother's sister who despise her that transferred to me as I was forced to live with her family until I was 11 when I received a letter that would change my life". Mia said sadly as Shane had to control his anger, thinking that the love of his life was a child soldier.

"Child soldier?". Shane muttered forcefully.

"I was along with all of my friends and classmates. My schools headmaster thought himself a God, as we were his pons and did what he said. Unfortunately I'm getting ahead of myself and there's still a lot of stuff. You would probably never think was possible I don't want to believe but if you love me and want to be a part of our daughters life, even if it's the end of the world, you have to accept us the way we are, and try not to see us different when I tell you the truth". Mia said as Shane head was still swimming with all the information he was absorbing, and at the fact he had a daughter.

Shane never thought himself to be the sharpest tool in the box that was always someone smarter than himself. The moment he saw that little girl running out of the RV towards the love of his life he saw the similarities, and he instantly knew she was a part of him that Mia had kept from him.

"Why did you tell me about her?". Shane asked heartbroken. At the fact, he did not know he had a child and missed out on her life.

All he ever wanted after meeting Mia was to settle down raise her son Teddy with her and start their own family and it hurts to not be a part of it.

"It's because of what we are Shane. I know at a point in our relationship I would have to tell you the truth, but every time I thought I could, I changed my mind afraid of losing you". Mia said with tears in her eyes, even though Shane was confused he sat up, pulling her into his arms.

"What are you talking about love nothing will ever change how I feel about you even five years later I still feel the same as I alway did". Shane said kissing the side of her head.

"Shane I'm a witch". Mia said getting up from his lap standing in front of him with her wand in her hand.

"Mia...". Shane tried to say only for Mia to hold up her hand shaking her head silencing him.

"Lumos". Mia whispered as the tip of her wand lighting up. Shane's eyes widen at the display. "Nox". She said the light going out.

Mia looking at the ground not wanting to see Shane's reaction afraid. After he passed out, she had Neville and George bring him into the RV. They had only been reunited with the last, then, a few minutes she wanted more time before telling him the truth, but was left without any option.

"Your a witch?". Shane asked quietly afraid his mind was playing tricks on him as it's been a stressful week.

"Yes, so is Luna my sister and our daughter Astrid, my brothers and Teddy are the equivalent to witches which are called wizards. We come from a magical society that has been hidden for more than a 1000 years". Mia said raising her head. "My kind have been in hiding for centuries because of the witch burning that took innocent lives of people that weren't magically. The magical society has everything that mundane society has". Mia explained as she continued explaining what her life was. The betrayal, she suffered the racism due to blood status the war she went through the friends and family she lost.

"Did you think I would reject our daughter because of her being a witch?". Shane asked his head was still spinning hours later all he wanted at the moment. Besides, his daughter was a strong drink. It was a lot to wrap his mind around.

"Yes, Shane I grew up with my aunt Petunia. After my parents died I was sent to live with her family who never hid their hatred towards me. I didn't know my name until I was five thinking I was named freak. I didn't want Astrid to go through the childhood I had. I didn't have my parents to protect me, but I wanted to our daughter to never be ashamed of who she is, even if unfortunately you couldn't be in her life. I wanted to keep the image of the man I love in tack and not have it broken if he rejected us". Mia said as tears roll down her cheek. Shane heart broke as he pulled Mia into his arms, hugging her afraid she would vanish if he let go.

"I understand your fears Mia, but you should have given me the benefit of the doubt despite your fears". Shane whispered as Mia melted in his arms.

"Shane I was come back I had a lot of things to fix about my inheritance back in Britain. My old headmaster, who made himself my guardian after my parents died plan to marry me off to the person I thought was my friend who was only using me". Mia said as Shane tighten his arms around her growling at the thought of another man, touching his woman. "It took more than six months to get everything fixed I didn't find out I was pregnant until I was almost 3 months but I couldn't return until everything was cleaned up. My magic was at stake and what was left of my family. I couldn't as risk our child's life. I don't know what would happen if I lost my magic while I was pregnant. We could maybe have lost our lives". Mia whispered as Shane stiffen at the thought.

"As much as it hurts I wasn't a part of any of it. I'm glad you made the right decision because you and Astrid are here today. I have to know though if the end of the world hadn't happened would I have ever known". Shane asked as they pulled away.

"Of course, Astrid has your last name. I was going to introduce you both when she was a little older. The end of the world just speed it up the process". Mia said as the weight of everything was lifted off her shoulders, but the guilt was still there. "Shane I wanted to raise Astrid together. I came back after everything was done in Britain. I showed up at your home to find you kissing someone I thought you moved on". Mia said as Shane eyes widen as he remembered that night vividly, he had been drunk, and he had been ambushed on his doorstep.

"Fucking bitch". Shane cursed wanting to get his hands on Lori. "Mia I never moved on from our relationship, that night I was drunk Lori ambush me on my doorstep. Rick never listen to my advice, no matter how many times I've told him to leave her. He was blinded by love for that woman I never told him what she did, he still wouldn't have left her with Carl in the picture. My brother was a good man unfortunately he trusted too easily". Shane said running his fingers through his hair.

"Lori". Mia growled angrily as her hair started to stand up on end. A glass vase that was set on the table nearby exploded.

Shane looked shock as he adjusted himself in his jeans as when Mia used to get angry it used to turn him on as she was a biter in bed. "What are we going to do?". Shane as his voice went down a few octave as he tried to restrain himself from taking Mia at the moment right on the table.

"I know there's a lot of talking to still do but I still love you Shane, me and my family came for you. Luna is a seer she's able to see the future and it didn't look good for that large group". Mia said as Shane picked up on what she wouldn't say.

"I die don't I?". Shane asked as Mia didn't say anything with tears in her eyes and her silence was loud enough. "What do you want to do?". Shane asked as he really didn't care much for the other group except Carl he would follow his Mia anywhere.

"After you fainted". Mia mentioned giggling as Shane felt his face heating up. "You were out for a bit, I've observed the group that followed you unfortunately they aren't cut out for this world. I have a hunch some will survive but not everyone. I don't plan on telling many people about my magic I refuse to be taken advantage of or seen as a freak. My siblings and I have talked a bit and we have the power to set up a settlement somewhere. We will welcome any mandane the accept magic and any witch or wizard that we find to live in harmony. This virus isn't going to end. We are all infected Shane once we die we become one of them even if we aren't scratched or bitten". Mia explained at the end Shane fell back into the couch, not wanting to believe everyone was infected, that either way they could become one of those creatures.

"Mia, you know I would follow you and our family anywhere I just got your back and I refuse to lose you, Astrid or Teddy but I need to bring Carl with us. Unfortunately, that also means Lori as to come as well no matter how much I hate her I have to protect Ricks family. I owe it to him". Shane said hanging his head in shame, having to had left his brother behind.

"Why do you owe it to him?". Mia asked as she caressed his cheek.

"A few weeks ago Rick was shot on duty. He was in a coma, I was visiting him when the outbreak started at the hospital and I had to leave him behind. I lied to Lori and said he died when the hospital was being taken over by the military as they were killing everyone inside. I barely got away, but I've managed to put a gurney in front of his room door". Shane said he knew his brother was in a coma, and if given the chance would have woken up.

"Shane you did what you had to do, if you would've stayed it would have cost you your life, your protecting the most important person Rick had which is Carl. Don't feel ashamed for what you had to do, who knows if Rick could have survived the journey your not a god your human. If Lori finds out the truth, she will be finding herself at the end of my wand as I have a few things I need to say to her. Plus a right hook with her name on it at some point". Mia said her green eyes glowing.

"Your still a violent little minx as I remember". Shane groaned as his erection returned. Mia had wrapped her arms around him, jumping into his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist as she felt his shaft harden.

"Only when it comes to the people I love". Mia whispered as she leaned in for a kiss. Shane groaned as Mia rested her palm between their embrace, her hand lightly massaging his erection.

"Mommy!!!". Astrid's voice was heard through out the RV. The two immediately pulled away, Mia jumped from the embrace and Shane cursed under his breath.

"Welcome to fatherhood love". Mia said smirking as their daughter appeared with Teddy behind her.

Shane sobered up even though his face was completely red. He looked at the two children entering. Their little girl look a perfect blend of him and Mia as she was followed by a little boy with blue hair and golden eyes.

Since entering the quarry, Shane's life has changed drastically. The outbreak would have resulted in his death and him never knowing he had a family if Mia sister hadn't seen the future, he shook his head getting rid of any of those thoughts.

His future was bright despite everything and he would do everything in his power to protect his family and maybe one day add to it if possible. It was still a lot to take in as his reality was thrown for a loop but he would adjust to his family having magic.
