3rd Person (P.O.V)
Mia and Shane entered the war room where six other people were waiting for them. The other sat at the round table that had at the moment eight chairs. Shane noticed all of the men's attention was on a small blonde, the only other woman in the group who had her eyes closed at the moment.
"What is she doing?". Shane asked Mia who looked at Luna with a curious expression.
"Luna like I told you is a seer she is watching all future possibilities play out and will advise us on the best one to follow". Mia said sitting next to Neville and Shane beside her.
"Are her visions accurate and can it be trusted?". Shane asked his love curiously but also cautiously not wanting to offend anyone.
"Luna visions have always been accurate and they will be our best chance at survival because this is the end and there isn't any going back anything we're going to be able to do is thrive and think those we can without putting ourselves in danger". Mia said in her serious voice as she knew she was going to be the leader of the new group she was created.
Unlike the war she was up for it since she had trustworthy people at her side both magical and mundane. Luna's dreamy expression return to normal and she looked over to Mia, to the mundane, it appeared as they were having a silent conversation when in reality, she was looking into her little sisters mind.
Mia gasped when she returned to normal Shane at her side worried as she had a broken expression on her face. She had seen two different futures one when she had not reunited with her love the death of everyone within the other group and more. The other vision showed a community of magical and mundane thriving, but there will be a lot of hurdles to overcome to reach that point.
"Mia what is it? Are you alright sweetheart?". Shane asked worriedly.
"I'm fine Shane". Mia said reassuringly as she rubbed his hand. "It's just hard to process what I saw had my family not been here everything would have gone to shit. The only survivor would have been Daryl from this group, and whatever other people you would encounter in the future". She said getting everyone's attention especially the mundane.
"What did ya see Mia?". Daryl grunted as he looked at his brother from his peripheral vision not at all showing the worry he felt.
"First off Rick is still alive putting the gurney in front of his door protected him". Mia said looking at Shane his eyes whitening tear filling his eyes.
"We have to go get him". Shane said a bit frantic, getting up from his seat, the chair flying out from under him, and he tried to head towards the door, but Mia stopped him.
"Shane he's safe right now nothing is going to happen to him. He's still in a coma, we have to finish the meeting". Mia said as she had gotten up when she had she used her street is that him and her chair.
"But Mia...". Shane was about to say but chose to remain quiet when Mia glared at him.
"Look everyone I want to make it clear I saw that this virus is airborne and we're all infected. This is the end of the world a playground from monsters and predators and I'm not talking about the dead". Mia said with a hard expression making everyone sit up straighter.
"Long story short this group isn't going to survive the way it is. Eventually Shane, you would have ended up with Lori getting her pregnant with a little girl". Mia said to her lover who look like he was going to be sick. "You both on comfort in each other and the guilt of Rick's supposedly death sent you into a downward spiral until he showed up one by one and many bad decisions were many people were lost on, including Daryl from the original group years later. Unfortunately there are some people that aren't meant or deserve to be saved. We all have to work together I want to create a safe haven for magical's and mundane people. We have to stick together for our settlements for thrive. I believe each of us as individuals has a lot to contribute. There's a note book in front of everyone to start writing down the supplies you believe we require. Luckily it still easily and a lot of things are able to be saved". Mia said not once stopping during her speech as everyone opened their book with a pen in hand.
"Where do we start?". Draco asked looking at his adopted sister.
"Draco your our resident potions master and healer. I want you to work with Shane, Merle and Daryl to find out what the non-magical folks will need in the way of medicine as I hope to find a doctor at some point". Mia said as Draco started writing and Shane got an idea.
"Mia when we go get Rick, we should take a group as it will be a good opportunity to get all of the medicine and medical equipment". Shane said since they would be killing two birds with one stone.
"Sound like a plan love". Mia said smiling before looking at the group again. " Neville you are our herbologist master I want you and Luna to work with Daryl and Merle when it comes to plants and animals, and for Luna our runes mistress, I want you to work on some different types of protection as well as making a few bottomless bags until we're able to reach the magical district to raid it". Mia said knowing the group would have to work together in order to make it all come together.
"Got it little sister". Neville said already jotting down the most important ingredients to gather.
"Forge you are going to work with Luna on some of the rune protection, plus any other project like the Peruvian instant dark powder for emergencies and anything that comes from your brilliant mind". Mia said knowing her older brother didn't need much direction as his brilliant mind would know what to do.
"This is going to be fun". George said, rubbing his hands together like a villain, a mischievous sparkle in his eye that hadn't been there in a long time.
"Daryl and Merle you both are to make a list of any vehicle maintenance will need to gather as well as vehicles we can steal from lots. I want to gather as many RVs and trailers as we can. Also the both of you and Shane will be good teachers for the self-defense classes that should be given. All of us gathered here have experience in fighting. We are going to be the core group for our survival. It's better to start everything now because the quarry won't stay forever and we will have to move on but we can't worry about everyone. We have to gather as much information around camp to see who is worthy of saving I am not playing Go but I refuse to risk my family. We can't save everyone". Mia said her voice echoing throughout the war room.
"You aren't alone Mia, don't burden yourself with decisions we are all here for you. There are going to be decisions we won't like, but they have to be done". Luna said in an airy voice looking at her older sister.
"I know little moon". Mia said smiling. "Now the question left is where the final settlement should be, we must find a way to ensure the good people that are left are among our numbers because now the world has become even more dangerous than it already was". Mia said with a grim expression on her face.
Everyone had a grim expression but knew what they needed to do to ensure their survival. To the three non-magical they knew that the other five people among them were the best chance of them surviving especially to Shane.
He just got his family back and was relieved that his brother was still alive as the guilt has started to get to him. He was still having a bit of a difficult time wrapping around with what Mia had revealed. Had she not appeared he would have had a child with Lori and would not have survived even that mental image made him shutter in disgust.
All that mattered to him was his family, which Lori had no part of. He was only tolerating her for Carl sake and because of the promise he made to Rick. His brother being alive made the way on his shoulder lift.
Merle was quiet throughout the meeting, which was unlike him but this was a serious matter as it determine the survival of him, his brother and his little moon. During their time apart he never was able to forget about Luna that woman had her clutches in him that he always remembered her.
Daryl was glad Mia appeared in his life. She was like the sister he never had, she never looked down on him. She and her siblings would be the reason he still had his brother and wouldn't be alone. It was a grim reality to know he would be the sole survivor of the group in the quarry and the people they with meet in the future.
Everyone sat in the war room jotting down what was needed while discussing among themselves, the most important essentials as it would be a long road ahead of them.
