Omake: Aizawa's Injury

The day's classes have yet to start for U.A. but even so the school is already bustling with students. Especially Class 1-A as the students are all gathered in their own little conversations or desks as they get ready for the day.

And then in walks Shota Aizawa, but unlike most days he slips in quietly and before the bell rings as if not wanting to draw attention to himself. But what's really off about him is the cast wrapped around his wrist.

As he walks past, the cast instantly catches Kaminari's eye. "Woah, what's with the cast?"

"I sprained my wrist." Aizawa responds quickly without making eye contact.

Jiro eyes the cast curiously. "What happened?"

Aizawa simply brushes her off as he heads for his desk. "Don't worry about it. I'm fine."

"Yeah, geeze Jiro back off." Kaminari fake scoffs as he leans to the side to look around Jiro so he can see Aizawa off. "Leave the guy alone." He goes quiet as Aizawa sits down at his desk. He then turns and waves over those who were paying attention. "Alright huddle up, everybody." he whispers waving for them all to huddle up. "Bring it in, bring it in."

Those that come in close are a just as excited Mina, a curious Mineta, a silent Shinso, and even an indifferent but intrigued Bakugou.

Kaminari excitedly whispers to the group. "So, he wouldn't say what happened which can only mean one thing."

Jumping to assumptions, Mina nods as if impressed. "He's in a fight club."

Kamianri frowns at her absurd answer. "No."

Bakugou snickers. "Although that would be awesome. But he probably just got it from a villain. Bet the villain's got off worse though."

Kaminari shakes his head. "No. He did it by doing something he's embarrassed by." He tries to think of a quick example. "Like smiling. The only question is how do you hurt yourself by smiling?"

Mineta shrugs. "Could be a sports injury. I sprained my wrist in Jr. High playing field hockey."

Shinso frowns giving Mineta a skeptical look. "Men's field hockey?"

Mineta nods. "Yeah, but I did apply to be the manager for the girls' team."

Okay that's disturbing.

Bakugou raises an eyebrow. "Were you the manager?"

"Ha!" Mineta laughs as if to say yes but his smile quickly fades away and he's left shaking his head in honest disappointment. "No, no."

"Attention everyone!"

The little huddle spin around to find Mr. Aizawa looming over them with an annoyed scowl.

"Just so you are aware, I can hear you talking about my injury because I am literally in the same room." Aizawa scolds before indulging their useless curiosity. "I tripped over an uneven sidewalk." He pauses letting that let down sink in. "I didn't think it would be relevant to your education. An education that needs you all in costumes and down at Site Gamma. Right. Now."

The huddle and the rest of the class get the message.

"Get to work."

They do. Everyone grabs their things and heads out for the lockers just as the bell rings.

A dejected Kaminari takes his time collecting his bag as he and a few others trail behind, gathering their stuff.

However, Aizawa approaches him in a way that he's trying to be subtle before he leans in close and breathes a whisper into Kaminari's ear. "Do you want to know how I actually hurt my wrist?"

Kaminari's taken back but scoffs, but also he doesn't want to miss his chance if this is for real. "Yes."

Without blinking an eye or a hint of irony Aizawa tells him. "I was hula hooping."

Kaminari's astonished face says it all.

And so the pro hero explains. "Hizashi, Nemuri, and I attend a class for fitness and…for fun." He smiles as if to say, yes, he does have fun.

From pure astonishment, Kaminari breaks into a smiling smile. "Oh my god."

"I've mastered all the moves." Aizawa pulls out his phone and Kaminari instantly gravitates towards it watching in amazement as Aizawa scrolls through the photos of him performing said moves. "The Pizza Toss. The Tornado. The Scorpion." He chuckles at the neck one. "The Opsy-Doodle."

A grinning Kaminari stares at Aizawa in shock-and-awe. "Why are you telling me this?"

Aizawa's friendly air washes away as he looks the kid dead in the eye and tells him exactly why. "Because no one will ever believe you."

Kaminari's eyes widen as he watches in horror as Aizawa swiftly deletes all the photographic evidence from his phone.

"No, no!" But it's too late.

Aizawa backs away with a satisfied smirk on his face.

Kaminari grabs at his heart, feeling the betrayal. "You sick son of a bitch."

*SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: I will be doing a Halloween OVA on Sunday October 31, 2021. Some people suggested that I do one and after some time I had a brilliant idea on what to do that won't break the canon of the main story. Yes, that's right. This OVA will be canon to "Heroes Never Die; It's Hero Time." No spoilers you'll just have to wait until then but I love it and I've already started writing it up. Also fair warning Izuku will not be getting any new aliens. Sorry I had to say it now because I know how you people think. Remember OVAs are canon but are not at all important to the main story so major concepts have to be introduced in the main story first: like new aliens, plot points, and such.

*UPDATE FOR NEXT CHAPTER: Ch.54 More Than Meets the Eye. So, if you read the announcement above then you know of the Halloween OVA I will be doing. However, as a trade-off this means that Ch.54 will take longer to get here. Sorry but that's how it is. However I will say that the progress for the Halloween OVA is going nicely, I'm almost halfway through it already. And I have Ch.54 all laid out I just need to write it up which is the hard part. I will keep you posted in future Omakes how my progress for Ch.54 is going.

*Oh there are a few things I need to say about Ch.54 More Than Meets the Eye. I am regretting that chapter name because a lot of you are assuming that means I will be using the Transformers in the chapter/story. NO! That is far from the truth. I picked the title due to theming. Sorry for misleading you. BUT if you are disappointed then don't be because the next chapter will introduce a NEW ALIEN! Yes a new alien will be coming to the Omnitrix, you have my word on that. And believe me I have been dying to get this alien into my story.
