Brewing Storm!

(Sullivan's Mansion)

"Izuku-sama, how are preparations for the Battler Party coming along?" Opera asked as they served Hell-Grey tea to Izuku.

"It's going great actually," Izuku took a sip of his tea. "I have given them the basic layout of the idea, and Daki senpai and Kirio senpai are collecting the materials based on my idea."

"By the way," Izuku continued, "you and Grandpa are coming on the Party Day right?"

"We certainly are, Izuku-sama," Opera nodded. "In fact, I have already finished all the preparations in advance." They said and brought out multiple high-end cameras.

"Oh yeah, that reminds me. Grandpa still hasn't returned from Thirteen's dinner, right?" Izuku asked. "What happened? Is everything all right?"

"Don't worry, Izuku-sama," Opera reassured him. "It's nothing for you to be concerned about. Sullivan sama encountered some complications after Thirteen's dinner, and he's dealing with them right now."

"Well, if you say so," Izuku said, "but please keep in mind that you can count on me if there is any kind of problem at all."

"I will keep that in mind, Izuku-sama," Opera said and glanced at the clock. "And you should be going now, otherwise you will be late for school."

'Shit! Kid, check the time!' Nana cursed.

Izuku looked alarmed and hastily grabbed his bag. "Oh, and Opera, I'll be late today. We have to conduct our experiment after sunset, so don't worry about me."

"Understood, Izuku-sama. Please take care and have a great day," Opera replied, bidding farewell to Izuku, who took off into the air from the front yard.

Just as Izuku left, the phone in the house began to ring. Opera walked over and answered, "Hello, this is the Sullivan residence. How may I help you?"

"It's me Opera," came Sullivan's voice from the other end of the line. "How are things at home? Is Izuku-kun okay?"

"Don't worry, Sullivan-sama. Everything is fine here. Izuku-sama just left for school," Opera reassured him. "By the way, how long will they be holding you up?"

"I can't say for sure, Opera," Sullivan sighed. "The people at Demon Patrol seem to believe that I had something to do with an illegal visit to the human world," he said, glancing over at Henri Azazel, one of the 13 Crowns and the Security Chief of Demon Border Control, who was calmly observing him. "But obviously, that's not true at all."

"Lord, Izuku-sama inquired if we will be attending the Battler Party," Opera informed.

"Well, we are definitely going to attend the party. You can take my word for it," Sullivan declared, meeting Henri's gaze.

"In that case, I will be waiting for you, Lord," Opera replied before ending the call.

(Magical Tools Research Battler)

When Izuku first introduced the idea of fireworks to the others, they were initially confused and thought it might be some sort of weapon. However, after Izuku explained the concept and showed them pictures of fireworks, they all happily agreed to create them for the Battler Party.

However, implementing the idea was easier said than done. The concept of fireworks was entirely foreign to the demon world and its inhabitants. Even Izuku, who had a basic knowledge of them from his previous life and some curious Google searches, found it challenging to explain the intricacies of making fireworks to others.

This was a major concern for Izuku as they had only three days to prepare for the event, and creating something like fireworks from scratch seemed almost impossible. However, they were fortunate that Daki came in clutch.

The girl was a genius. And not because she could instantly create anything that was asked of her but because of her exceptional ability to understand and incorporate all the absurd suggestions thrown at her by everyone in Battler.

And thanks to her, by the end of the second day, they had detailed blueprints for both the ammunition and the launch pad to launch the fireworks.

Now, one day before the event, they were all sitting in the Battler room, divided into two groups. Izuku and Daki were preparing ammunition, while Alice and Kirio were working on the launch pad. Clara was helping both groups whenever needed.

"Daki, Izuku, launch pad is ready," Kirio said.

"Great work senpai," Daki said and flashed a beaming smile at him, "Midoriya and I are almost done here as well so why don't you go and check that launch pad ahead of us."

"Check?" Kirio asked, "But how are we supposed to do that when you are still working on ammo?"

"Don't worry," Izuku interjected. "Clara can provide you with something to launch through the launch pad."

Agreeing to Izuku's suggestion, Kirio turned to Alice and Clara. "Let's go, kohais. Let's see how our first tool as a team has turned out." With that, the three of them headed to the courtyard, leaving Izuku and Daki behind to continue working on ammunition.

As they worked in silence, Izuku's attention suddenly shifted to Daki, who was humming and wearing a happy smile as she worked on the ammunition. Then a curious thought came to his mind.

"Daki senpai, you seem to enjoy making things, don't you?" he asked without stopping his hands.

Daki smiled at him and replied, "Yes, I really do. It's one of my favorite things to do. Honestly, it's hard to explain, but there's just something incredibly liberating about creating something from scratch. It's like you're building something that never existed before and bringing it to life."

"I can see how that would be really satisfying," Izuku replied thinking that their conversation ended there but then Daki continued.

"And creating things is also a huge part of my ambition," she said.

Now this got Izuku curious so he asked, "What kind of ambition Daki senpai?"

"Well, you see, the Daki family once served at the Demon King's court as one of the thirteen crowns. And I'm not talking about Derkila-sama, I'm talking about the Demon King before him," Daki explained. "At that time, only our family was allowed to produce magical tools. If any outsider even tried to make their own, my family would seize their assets and lock them up. And, well, they even made examples out of a few of them."

"Wow, that sounds evil," Izuku blurted out, suddenly realizing that he was sitting next to her. "Sorry, I didn't mean to-"

"It's okay. I can understand why you would think that," Daki reassured him. "But back then, nobody could stand up to my grandpa and his father. Not only were we part of the thirteen crowns, but we were also favored by the Demon King himself. However, everything changed when Derkila-sama took the throne. Within the first week of his reign, he announced that everyone was allowed to create and sell magic tools, regardless of their status."

"Of course, my grandpa was livid," Daki continued. "He went to Derkila-sama's castle to ask him the reason for his decision. There, Derkila-sama told him that he was hindering the demon world's progress by monopolizing the creation of magic tools. My grandpa countered by saying that crafting magic tools was a sacred job and shouldn't be entrusted to peasants and the like. But Derkila-sama laughed in his face, telling him he was old-fashioned and didn't understand how the modern world worked."

"And I am assuming that your grandpa didn't like the response," Izuku said.

"He wasn't," Daki replied. "He stopped producing the Magic Tools, hoping that the Demon King would realize how crucial our family was to his rule. But that didn't happen. At first, it was chaotic. There was no new supply of magic tools, and prices of the existing tools skyrocketed. However, new people entered the market, and in less than five years, the market stabilized. My grandpa couldn't digest this, so he organized a coup against Derkila-sama, along with the rest of my family."

"And then what happened?" Izuku asked, too intrigued by her story.

Daki let out a sigh. "He failed because my father joined the Demon King's faction before the battle and informed him of my grandpa's intentions for the coup," she explained. "In exchange, my father asked the Demon King not to publicize or record this coup and to leave him and his wife alone. Derkila-sama agreed, and on the day of the coup, he executed all the members of our family except for my father. This means that I and my father are the last serving members of our family."

Feeling sympathetic, Izuku placed a hand on her shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze. "I'm sorry to hear that," he said.

Daki chuckled. "It's okay. I wasn't even born back then," she said. "And honestly, the inventor in me is glad about what happened. I believe that anyone who buys my inventions should do so because they are the best, not because they are the only choice on the shelf. That's why, Midoriya, I want to revive my family's legacy by making the best magic tools there are."

"And I am sure one day you will Daki senpai," Izuku said, showing a reassuring smile. "But for now, I'm done with the ammo, and it's getting dark outside," he said, glancing out the window.

"Yep, it's the perfect time to check if we succeeded in making fireworks or not," Daki replied. Both of them walked out to the courtyard.

:-:-:-:-:-:

As soon as they arrived at the courtyard, they were greeted by Clara's cheerful voice. "Welcome, Izu-kun, Umi-Umi!" she exclaimed.

"Hey Clara," Izuku greeted her back. "So, how was the test? Did the launch pad work?"

Clara energetically nodded her head, doing various gestures with her hands. "It went kaboom, then woosh, and then thud," she said.

"That's great," Izuku chuckled, then turned to Kirio. "So..."

"The launch pad works perfectly fine," Kirio replied. "By the way, Clara went ahead and decorated it for us."

Their eyes landed on the launch pad, which was now covered in toys and ribbons. Clara was standing next to it, wearing a proud expression on her face. "I did my best!" she said.

"I tried to stop her," Alice said, looking tired.

"Isn't it fine?" Daki tilted her head. "It looks quite beautiful to me."

"Yeah, I don't mind either," Kirio added.

"Wait! Are we really going to use this?" Alice asked, sounding exasperated.

"Sure, why not," Izuku shrugged and placed the ammo on the launch pad. "Get back, everyone," he said, and they all stood at a safe distance. Suddenly, a transparent barrier appeared in front of them.

"What's this?" Izuku asked, curiously poking the barrier.

"It's my bloodline magic Barrier," Kirio explained. "Thanks to this, even without magic, I've never been badly injured."

:-:-:-:-:-:

Amy Kirio's Bloodline Magic.

Barrier:- It allows him to make invisible walls, but will crack when he loses focus.

:-:-:-:-:-:

Izuku continued to study the barrier with interest. "That's cool," he said, turning to Alice. "Could you do me a favor and light the fuse?"

Alice lit the fuse and then a few seconds later, boom the ammo shot out of the launch pad and burst into a beautiful flower in the sky. The group cheered and clapped at the successful display.

"That was amazing!" Clara exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Fascinating indeed," Alice added looking at the sky.

"I'm glad it worked out," Izuku said with a smile, feeling proud of their teamwork. Suddenly ribbons wrapped around his body and he was lifted off the ground.

Daki spun Midoriya around with her ribbons, cheering, "We did it! We actually did it! I can't wait to see everyone's faces when we unveil these fireworks at the festival!"

"I'm looking forward to it too!" Izuku replied, a matching grin on her face.

After celebrating for a little while longer, they caught sight of the huge school clock and realized how much time had passed.

"It's getting pretty late," Kirio interjected, "perhaps it's time for you all to head home. I'll stick around and put everything back in the battle room."

"You're right. We should get going," Izuku agreed. After saying their goodbyes, only Izuku and Kirio remained in the courtyard.

"Are you not leaving, Midoriya?" Kirio asked.

"No, I thought I'd stick around and help you take the launch pad back to the battle room," Izuku replied. "Is that okay with you?"

"Of course! That would be a big help," Kirio said, returning Izuku's smile.

As they carried the launch pad back to the battle room, Kirio turned to Izuku and said, "Midoriya, I just wanted to thank you again for the idea."

"Please, Kirio senpai," Izuku replied, grinning. "If anything, I should be thanking you for putting up with my absurd idea and making it possible on such short notice."

"Well, in that case, I guess we both helped each other out," Kirio chuckled. "But you know what I love about hanging out with you guys? It doesn't matter if someone's higher or lower ranked. Everyone's the same. There's no difference. Don't you think that's amazing?" Kirio asked, turning to Izuku.

"Yeah, it definitely is," Izuku nodded in agreement. "By the way, Kirio senpai, do you think we have a chance at winning the top prize?"

"Hmm? The top prize?" Kirio looked at him with surprise.

"What, you think it's too much for us to handle?" Izuku asked.

"It kind of is, you know," Kirio explained. "The top prize is something that only the top high-ranked demons receive, even among battlers. For us minor battlers, it's just a dream within a dream."

"That just means we need to win the prize even more," Izuku said, determination in his voice. "Just think about it. If a minor battler like us wins the top prize, imagine how much of a shock it would be for all those high-ranking demons out there. It would give hope to other small battlers to do even better next year. And that's your goal, right? To give hope to low-ranking demons."

Kirio's face broke into a small smile as he said, "That's a wonderful idea, Midoriya. You really are something else." He looked down, and as his smile grew wider and his hair fell to cover his eyes, he whispered, "You and I are a really good match..."

*snap* Izuku snapped his fingers in front of Kirio's face. "Senpai, we're here," he said, pointing at their battler room.

"Sorry about that," Kirio replied, his smile returning to normal. "I was just lost in thought."

Then once they were done arranging things they walked out of the room.

"Well, Midoriya I-" suddenly his phone rang. Glancing at the caller ID, he gave Izuku an apologetic smile and said, "Sorry, I have to take this call."

"No problem, I have to meet someone too," replied Izuku. "See you tomorrow, senpai."

With their goodbyes exchanged, the two went their separate ways.

:-:-:-:-:-:

"Hello Senpai-" Kirio picked up the call and tried to answer but...

"Bastard! How many times do I have to tell you to pick up after one ring when I call you you fucking moron," from the other side of the line Baal, the member of Thirteen Crowns, yelled at Kirio.

Kirio attempted to respond, "Well, I was working with my underclassmen-" But Baal interrupted him once again, refusing to listen.

"Shut up! I don't care!" Baal snapped. "You better be making progress with preparation."

"Of course, senpai," Kirio assured him, still keeping his goofy smile on his face. "Everything is going according to plan."

"Listen, Kirio," Baal's voice turned serious. "Don't screw up! We will be the ones to destroy that school," he declared, leaning back on his throne.

"Sullivan is being held back by my little tip-off, so he won't be able to come to school for a while," Baal continued. "If we're going to cause a storm, now's the time. So, get that device ready to be usable at any time. You can do that, right?"

"Of course," Kirio replied as he took off his glasses, his friendly smile morphing into a sinister one, and his eyes taking on a predatory look. "It will be done."

"Good. During the countdown into the main festival on Party Ever, when everyone will be gathered in the courtyard and the bells chime, we will strike and take out as many people as we can," Baal said with a sinister smirk. "What's needed for the plan is your bloodline magic and that device."

"You mean Gabu-chan, right?" Kirio asked.

"Yeah, that," Baal replied with an annoyed frown on his face. "Just get it done," he instructed before disconnecting the call.

Meanwhile, Kirio remained there, looking out the window at the setting sun with a wicked smile on his face.

"Oh, Midoriya. All that talk about giving hope and whatnot, but I wonder how you'll feel when you realize that so many people will despair tomorrow because of the device you helped fix," Kirio laughed, thinking about his unsuspecting underclassmen. "Gabu-chan, I'll be counting on you tomorrow. After all, it's going to be the best Battler Party in the history of this school."

And while Kirio was busy arranging his evil plan to destroy the school, Izuku made his way to Ameri's office and knocked on the door.

"Come in," came Ameri's voice from inside.

Izuku opened the door and walked into the room, where he saw Ameri waiting for him. "Hey, thanks for waiting for me after school," he said.

"Don't worry, I was going to stay to oversee the preparation for the festival anyway," Ameri replied. "Anyway, you said you wanted to talk about something."

"It's not about something, but someone," Izuku replied, his expression turning serious. "I wanted to talk about Kirio senpai..."

To be continued...
