Omake: Arm Day

Training Period a time when the students of Class 1-A are allowed access to any and all of U.A.'s many facilities as long as it is used for the express purpose of training.

Some students head off for the U.S.J. taking advantage of its many arenas. Others use the time to study up on various fighting techniques and maneuvers. Some even go for a run around the school. Heck, some even train and exercise by playing basketball or soccer.

And then there are those who head off for one of the many exercising gyms in the school.

And today about five of them decide to make use of the equipment.

Hitoshi Shinso for one is gaining a lot of speed on the treadmill while Tenya Iida is making some real use of the dumbbells. Shoto Todoroki meanwhile is on a nearby mat doing pushups. Tsuyu Asui, minding her own business as she wraps athletic tape around her hands before going to spar against a punching bag.

And then there's Katsuki Bakugou who's already looking way too smug for it benign so early in the morning.

"Sup, loser?" Bakugou mockingly laughs at Shinso.

Shinso rolls his eyes before flipping Bakugou off.

"Ha!" Bakugou laughs back as he marches for the pullup bar.

He leaps up and starts, but after a few he throws another jab at Shoto, mocking him for doing nothing but push-ups. "Light Day, Icy-Hot?"

Shoto pauses, annoyed with Bakugou's instant taunting. "I was just getting warmed up, actually."

He transitions into One Arm Pushups and for once feels like he one-upped Bakugou, although his rather indifferent and calm demeanor in no way expresses that.

However, it's actually Iida who says something. "Todoroki, please. I would hardly call that a proper exercise."

They all pause to stare at him, wondering why he would be scolding Shoto.

But a playful smirk stretches across Iida's lips as he squats down and performs a 2-finger push up. "This is."

He smirks, pushing himself up and down with just his fingers.

Bakugou's annoyed now and goes ahead and mimics Iida, yes, Bakugou copies Iida of all people. "Please, everyone can do those, Glasses!"

Seeing them act like children, Shinso steps off the treadmill with a roll of his eyes. "You're all pathetic."

The others stop to glare at him.

Shinso smirks before flipping himself over and performing a spectacular handstand. "This is what you should be doing."

The smirk on his face is priceless, finally all that training with Mr. Aizawa is paying off.

"Sorry, Shinso." Iida smiles as he too goes into a handstand. "But some of us have been doing that for years."

"Then how about-" Bakugou cockily performs a one-hand handstand before them all. "-This?!" He laughs at their stunned faces. "See that, losers?! This is nothing for me!"

"Well same for me!" Iida takes away one hand.

"And me!" Shinso does the same.

"I can do it too." Shoto comments, going into a one-hand handstand as well.

"Fine!" Shinso barks, getting into the competitive spirit. "First one to a hundred wins!"

"Hahaha! Prepare to suck it, losers!" Bakugou laughs as he begins his pushups.

Tsuyu watches the boys compete. She smirks at them, laughing at how childish yet amusing it is. "Bad idea. Kero."

"Ow… So much ow…" Shinso moans into his desk as the rest of the class files back into the classroom.

"I'm gonna tear my arms off. Ow…" Bakugou groans in pain, unable to move his arms, letting them flop around against his chair.

Shoto's not doing any better, his arms are so sore he's trying to turn the page of his textbook with his chin. "I-I can't do it…"

He gives up letting his head flop onto the book.

Iida, however, is determined to write even with the pen wedged between his teeth. "I…can…do…this."

The pen slips away, falling to the floor.

"Nooo!" Iida whines, nearly crying knowing he'll never be able to pick it up with his dead sore arms.

They all just give up, groaning, unable to deal with their own stupidity.

Just then, Izuku walks in and eyes them worriedly. "What happened to them?"

Tsuyu enters the room beside him. She shrugs, acting like it's nothing. "Arm day."

*Omake is based on DC's Webtoon "Batman: Wayne Family Adventures" specifically "Ep. 5 - Arm Day."

*UPDATE* I will be posting the first chapter to "Three Heroes" June 17, 2022. I wanted to post it June 10 but this week has not gone my way at all. And because of that Part III is nowhere near done. So, hopefully it will be by then.
