Omake: Unbelievable

It's summer break, a time for students to go out in the sun and have themselves some fun in anyway they'd like. Too bad the teachers of U.A. can't join them as they're all stuck inside the AC building prepping for the upcoming semester and their students' return.

But even with work to be done the teachers still find time to gossip and converse such as Cementoss and Present Mic who are out in the hallway talking about their own summer plans.

Cementoss nods in agreement with Present Mic's question. "Yes, it has been quite a while since I've visited my parents in Dathomir City. I should probably-..."

*Clack. Clack. Clack.*

An out of place clacking echoes through the hall. Cementoss and Present Mic quiet down and stare as Shota Aizawa hobbles by, using crutches to walk while a cast is wrapped around his newly broken foot.

"Yo, Eraserhead! Are you okay?!" Present Mic hovers around him worried, hands out just in case Aizawa were to fall over.

"I'm fine." Aizawa brushes him off, acting indifferent.

Cementoss frowns, staring at the broken leg. "May I ask, what happened?"

"It's nothing." Aizawa states a matter-of-factually before hobbling away quickly to avoid any more questions.

The two teachers watch him leave while Cementoss mutters under his breath. "Must've been a bad fight."

Present Mic thinks so too. "I saw something about the Dictator on the news the other day. Maybe it was him."

"Perhaps."

Perhaps that is the case or not. That doesn't matter. But this is a high school and even without its students, rumors can still spread like wildfire!

Not wanting to upset Aizawa, Snipe leans in and whispers to Thirteen what happened. "...And then Volcano grabbed his leg and just snapped it like a twig!"

"No!" Thirteen gasps.

"That's what I heard, anyway."

And like any rumor, it only becomes more convoluted as it goes.

Nobody is immune to it, not even Class 1-B's homeroom teacher, Vlad King. "But then he got dragged into the woods where Bearhead almost bit his leg clean off!"

Power Loader's face pales with horror. "He's lucky they managed to save the limb."

'Save the limb?!' Midnight starts as does Toshinori Yagi.

They both had just walked into the teacher's lounge when they overheard the rumors, finding them very unsettling. And so they march over right to the source.

Toshinori hurries to Aizawa's desk. "Why didn't you tell us about your leg?"

Midnight catches up quickly and chimes in. "If you'd called, we would have helped, you know!"

But Aizawa doesn't seem to care, brushing off their concerns with that same exhausted expression he always has. "It was nothing. I'll heal."

Midnight still what to know though. "So what happened?"

Toshinori's curious too. "Power Loader said Dictator and Volcano were hired by Shigaraki to feed you to Bearhead!"

"Uh…" Aizawa pauses at that, averting his gaze as he thinks back to what actually happened.

##########(Flashback)#########

"Hm." Aizawa quietly peeks around the hallway.

He checks left. Clear.

Checks right. No people in sight.

Yes. No students. No co-workers. No prying eyes.

It's Perfect.

Aizawa chuckles and smirks as he pulls out Izuku Midoriya's high-tech Hover Board.

AFter seeing the kid whiz around on this thing reminded Aizawa of his own skateboard back in the day. And so feeling nostalgic he decided to "borrow" the board. And it's not like Midoriya will ever know, he's not here to say otherwise anyway.

And so with an uncharacteristic smirk and laugh Aizawa hops aboard the Hover Board and takes off with a whoosh! He glides through the hallway, like a gliding frisbee, moving this way and that with perfect control. Even spinning up and around a few times just to show off.

"Hahaha!" He's having a ball, with a wide Totorro-like grin stretched across his face.

He slides to a stop, kicking himself off the board with ease before pocketing it away with a smug smirk. "Yep. Still got it."

As he gloats and relives his "younger" years he fails to notice the staircase.

"ACK!" He trips and falls, crashing into the steps before tumbling down and landing face first onto the ground floor.

But he doesn't move. Lying there, seeming like a dead body to anyone passing by. That is until Aizawa yells out at the top of his lungs. "Recovery Girl!"

########(End Flashback)#######

"Yep-I mean, yes. That's what happened." Aizawa saves face, acting like that was the story all along. "I was attacked."

Midnight, however, doesn't like how long it took him to answer. "Really?"

"Yep." Aizawa reinstates, fully committing himself to the lie. "It was Volcano and Dictator."

"And Shigaraki and Bearhead?" Toshinori quickly interjects, still thinking that is in fact what happened.

"Sure. Them, too."

Midnight isn't so sure. "If you say so."

Aizawa turns away, feeling somewhat smug for tricking everyone. "Yeah. Definitely."

*Omake is based on DC's Webtoon "Batman: Wayne Family Adventures" specifically "Ep. 42 - Unbelievable." I highly recommend it, it's a funny/slice of life comic starring the Batfamily themselves! May the hijinks ensue!

*UPDATE* This is it. The last Omake before we finally begin the "Three Heroes" Arc! Next Friday: June 17, 2022! We will begin our great adventure! I really hope it's worth the wait! I've been dying to show you guys what I've had planned for this movie since forever!

*Also, those villains mentioned in this Omake are not made-up. They are real villains in the MHA canon: Bearhead, Volcano, and Dictator. Probably worth a google.
